Lio Fotia's taste in fashion is . . . unique, and this is PARTIALLY built from the cosplay I bought and wore several years ago. It came packaged with a very cute, kinda . . . I guess, gothic steampunkish white shirt with frills ( because you can't wear the leather jacket by itself, so they had to pack a shirt with it for layering, and for the sleeve poofs, even though, canonically, we only see Lio's Shadow the Hedgehog chest poof thing emerging from the coat, and the sleeves, so we don't ACTUALLY know what he fully wears beneath it ).

Best believe I took that and ran with it.

Lio has great fashion taste and puts an admirable amount of effort and energy into his appearance. You won't catch him in a simple t-shirt and shorts / jeans on any given day unless he's not feeling well. Otherwise, it's ruffled shirts paired with a nice pair of black trousers ( coupled with some nice belts or accessories ), or a shoulder-hole blouse with some cargo pantsc, etc... usually black, white, and maybe a pop of color on his earrings, or somewhere else on his body.

He probably starts off wearing extremely simple things, when first he gets settled in Promepolis. He helps work to rebuild the city to pay off the shared living arrangements he has with Meis and Gueira, and to make sure the other ex-Burnish ( or, really, anyone who was affected by the Promare ) are taken care of, so he doesn't necessarily HAVE the funds to spend on such nice clothing right off the bat. Once he starts making a steady living for himself, and gets to a place where he doesn't fear he's becoming more and more indebt to other people, THEN he starts working on his wardrobe.

Galvatron has a little brother called Megastorm who wants to kill him (Galvatron knows this and still makes all the excuses for him because he loves his little bro). Megastorm wants to be the leader and at the start of the show Starscream bragged that he'll: "Let Megastorm deal with his brother, then I'll defeat Megastorm and take command!" But Megastorm is a bit of a petulant asswipe and Starscream had a kind of "Hey maybe I don't want to be the leader as much as I want a leader who is nice and respects me" and actively tries to protect Galvs in some episodes.

One episode Galvatron threatens to fire them if they fail (no physical punishment, just unemployment) and when BB, Starscreams best buddy, worries about getting fired Starscream tells him "Nah it's all good, Galvatron hates to cut off a good worker, do your best and nothing will happen regardless of success" (something I feel was spoken from experience honestly).

Galvatrons motivation is to become strong enough to protect the peace. It's only in the final episode there are some rushed lines regarding taking over the universe in such a manner that it feels like they forgot he was meant to be evil. The only time he ever actually attacks his own men is when he gets drugged/isn't in control (drank spiked oil or was being controlled by his 'dragon brain'/animalistic) and even then he more just chases them around.

BWII is a very weird show where it feels like you're picking up on a theme only for that to go nowhere and missed opportunities.

Anyways, what the ever loving FUCK did Louis do to Armand last season that justifies all the things Armand did to him, which included but is not limited to; Gaslighting Louis on multiple occasions, letting him convalesce in agony post suicide attempt for nearly a week, threatened to give his former abuser his location while in an incapacitated state, non consensual memory alteration (we have literally no reason to believe Louis asked for it 3 days later in my opinion idc), and literally EVERYTHING that happened during the Trial, the Trial he directed btw and was perfectly ok with letting Louis DIE in.

Like please, explain to me like I’m 5 years old what Louis did to Armand over the course of this season that was so fucking “vile” that he deserved even half of that shit??

And stop me if I’m wrong but is anyone framing Armand as the “Uber bad guy” out here? Or are people just acknowledging that while Armand is a deeply flawed and traumatized character, that doesn’t suddenly absolve him from continuing the cycle of abuse over his partner who, in almost every conceivable way, has significantly less power than him (Armand is older and outside of the human implications of that, that means he’s literally significantly more powerful Vampire powers wise, Armand has more money in Paris, he’s literally in charge of the Coven which means societally he is also more powerful, and while they both aren’t white that didn’t stop Armand from weaponizing the audiences Antiblack racism against Louis and Claudia during the Trial).

Not sure why they even brought up “feminizing” Louis as one of the ways people supposedly try to absolve him of all wrongdoing because if anything that’s what people do with Lestat and Armand, meanwhile analysis of the show acknowledging the gendered roles Louis serves both during the Rue Royale era and later on in Dubai only serve to meet the narrative where it’s at. Season one didn’t go out of its way to call Louis a housewife on multiple occasions and Armand didn’t spend all this season treating Louis in Dubai like his hysterical wife he’s .5 seconds away from shoving back in the attic just for us to ignore these aspects of the show because it makes some of y’all uncomfortable or lack the nuance to understand that a feminized character can still do bad things (and again, the worst things Louis does this season are towards Claudia but despite the lio service at the end, y’all don’t actually fucking care about her.)

I got to say. I really love your OC Lio within your atla fanfic. And that is saying a lot for I never been a fan of OCs within fanfics. I do wonder what was your inspiration for writing them

I'm glad you like Lio my OC from THIS ATLA FIC.

Well what inspired Lio was reading the search years ago and seeing Azula run off into a forest and Zuko not trying to go after her and help his sister when she's clearly mentally breaking down. Then just, not really looking for her by the time that Smoke and Shadow comes around.

The idea of Lio sprung for that, what if because Zuko didn't go after her someone else found Azula when she was at her lowest point in her life. What if when Zuko wasn't there for her, someone else was. What if this person wasn't a good influence, but was a predator lurking in the woods, and someone who couldn't be trusted and never wore their genuine face. Someone now attached to Azula who has an agenda of their own. It's like a plot consequence for Zuko never lifting a finger to help his sister.

The character they're based on the most is Yun from The Rise / Shadow of Kyoshi. In particular they're based off of my massive disappointment for how his character was handled. So excuse me while this post turns into a rant.

Rise of Kyoshi introduces a character known as Yun, the false avatar. A character who was taken off the streets and led by Kuruk's companions to believe he was the next avatar because they couldn't find Kyoshi in time. The earthbender's usual divining method for finding the avatar wasn't working and they essentially took a random nameless street kid on a hunch and prayed it would work.

They then put Yun through what could only be described as Zoldyck training if you've ever read Hunter x Hunter. He was forced to swallow poisons and stay up sick for nights on end so he'd be immune to all of them. He was forced to try to learn firebending by standing on hot coals, or training on spiked caltrops that permanently scarred his feet. His teachers horribly abused him, then frequently called him lazy for not being able to bend fire, because he you know... wasn't the avatar.

He does his best to put up with abusive training for years because he wants to help the world, and then he finds out that he wasn't the avatar. The way he finds out is that his master asks a spirit which one is the avatar him or Kyoshi, the spirit picks Kyoshi, then he's like "If you don't need Yun anymore, then I'll just eat him."

He's then dragged to the spirit world, and has to fight off a spirit named Father Glow Worm for days and then EAT him in order to escape the spirit world. He asks for a drink of water from a nearby village and not a single person helps him, and one throws the water on the ground and tells him to waterbend it. So Yun has his Geto moment and kills everyone around him.

Then, in Shadow of Kyoshi (this all happened in Rise of Kyoshi and is told to us in flashbacks of Shadow) Yun enacts a scheme to kill every single one of his abusers for revenge. His abusers who I remind you are not good people. Rangi's mom had the most student deaths by Ag Ni Kai when she was head of the Royal Fire Nation Academy for Girls and also probably killed her sister in order to get the position. The same woman that made Yun dance around on caltropped spikes and called him lazy when he showed the SLIGHTEST hesitation.

Now my point isn't that Yun deserved to get his revenge. Revenge bad. Of course revenge is bad. But Avatar somehow, while being the pro-redemption and pro-forgiveness show always manages to screw up the "revenge bad" message. I think it can be summarized in the way both Jet and Hama are treated in their respective plotlines. The feelings of the abusers (in this case the colonizing fire nation) are put in prioirity over the feelings of the victims. Even though the violence they commit is in retaliation to violence that was done of them first. Avatar only stops the question of "violence bad" without addressing where the source of the violence came from.

They also put down both victims with violence instead of trying to find a third way to stop this cycle of violence by reaching out an healing an abuse victim instead. Like, violence is bad, unless a protagonist is using it I guess.

There's no real substance to these anti-revenge messages. They're not overcoming the cycle of revenge. They're just failing to save victims with no plot consequences because they're not main characters.

Anyway, back to Yun. As I said, the feelings of Yun's abusers, particularly Rangi's mother are prioritized over the feelings of Yun the victim. Even though everything thing that Yun does is in retaliation to years of child abuse he suffered under them. Yun's abuser gets the chance to apologize and atone but not Yun himself. All because Yun wants to murder his abusers, which you know child abuse and torture is forgivable but not an abuse victim being angry and showing that anger in ways that aren't approved of by the good guys TM!

All Kyoshi can say to Yun in the end essentially is "let it go." Like, god the whole monologue sucks let me take a moment to transcribe it.

"It's time to let go." Kyoshi lowered her hands. "Whether you kill me here today or not, you have to let go of what happened." "And it didn't brting me peace. It was wrong that you were lied to, Yun. It was wrong for Jainzhu to do what he did, but he's gone. Whatever pain and anger you have left - you have to live with it. You can't put it on anyone else."

Actually, yes Kyoshi he can put it on someone else. An entire group of adults collectively abused him for like years on end and you're defending one of them because she's your girlfriend's mom, and prioritizing her feelings of the hurting victim right in front of you.

Also, Kyoshi ends the plotline by murdering Yun. Which you know, once again, violence is bad, revenge is bad, unless it's a protagonist doing it. Kyoshi preaches how you can't end the cycle of revenge with murder and then proceeds to end it with murder.

So basically after the narrative sides with Yun's abusers and Kyoshi shows no empathy for Yun, the narrative goes on to further imply Yun never really loved kyoshi because he only loved her when she was underneath him not her own powerful avatar. Like you can't just have Yun experience negative character arc due to trauma you've got to imply they were bad all along.

I do like revenge stories where the victim dies. However, they have to be tragedies for the main characters, or be used to show the flaws of the main character. Ciel / Noel in Tsukihime is a fantastic example of what could have been done with Yun's character. The TLDR: version of tha tpost is Ciel's treatment is Noel is MEANT to make her look like a bad person. To show that Ciel may be a hero but falls short as a person. Kyoshi isn't MEANT to look like a terrible friend but that's how she comes off.

Sorry, this turned into a Rant. Lio is basically my attempt to do Yun again with several aspects of their character. The child abuse. The clown / jokester personality. The gentle nature turned violent. The feeling that Lio is "Nameless" or a "Mask Maker" rather than a person. That they're worth nothing unless they play a role that was given to them, in this case protecting a royal family member. Their charisma, and their intelligence as a schemer and a tricskter. The connection to the spirits. All of it, but without horribly murdering the victim and redeeming the abuser at the same time. An attempt to redo Yun's tragedy but without blaming the victim.

Lio is also based off of Azula herself, and to a lesser extent Zuko. Like Azula, they value loyalty above all else. They show extreme loyalty to others while expecting other people to show that exact loyalty in return. They'll also resort to emotional manipulation to control people because they can't handle even the idea of rejection. Lio is clever, and a good liar, and is one of the few people who can mouth off to Azula without fear. In fact, Azula enjoys trading insults with Lio because literally no one else is able to talk to her that way. Like, it's fun for both of them to just sit there and think of comebacks and they both due it in place of actually talking to each toher about feelings because they're both fake people who like to put on masks and tell lies to hide their identity.

One more inspiration for Lio is Hak from Akatsuki no Yona or rather my problems with Haks' character. This is going to be less of a rant because the rest of the series is great. Hak is always a character I wanted to like, but the more he became a love interest the less I liked him because the plot began to ignore his glaring flaws. Basically, the difference between Soo Won and Hak, is Hak is someone who is a knight, he is loyal to one individual. He would put one person's life over the entire country. He might be the ideal knight, the best there is, but he really doesn't care about things on a grand scale. He judges things on how they affect Yona, and how people are kind or not to Yona. He didn't care about if King Il was a terrible king or people in the kingdom suffered because he was personally loyal to King Il. Whereas Soo Won will make decisions to screw over his friends and sacrifice himself as well, but for a greater good.

The plot goes into detail showing the flaws of Soo Won's decision making, that by being too willing to sacrifice people he didn't see things coming like Yona's growth into an eventual leader, or that he could have from the beginning tried to think of a way with less sacrifices if he hadn't underestimated both Hak and Yona's growth and tried to do everything by himself. Essentially he treated his two best friends as gameboard pieces but they showed him all along they were his equals and he was wrong for objectifying them and nto considering their feelings.

However, the show doesn't nearly go into Hak's flaws. After like a hundred chapters or so he basically just becomes the perfect boyfriend. So, Lio's inspiration was what if I take Hak's personality to the extreme. What if Hak was so obsessed with Yona because he was like REALLY WEIRD ABOUT IT. What if Hak's entire personality was being Yona's bodyguard / boyfriend and he had no sense of self outside of that? What if that was exactly his flaw, he's Yona's bodyguard and nothing else and therefore cannot exist without her. What if Hak's love for Yona was a FLAW?

So basically Lio is like Hak if Hak were a TOTAL FREAK about things.

If Pyonderful really doesn't end up being a thing in the TV show and we get like Cure Nico instead, the thing that's getting me right now isn't Satoru, it's Daifuku.

Like, sure, if Satoru doesn't get to be a Precure by the end of the season it'd be a horrible waste because he deserves it, but it'd just mean he joins the club with Seiji and Lio and Takumi and all the other supporting cast members who couldn't be a Precure officially probably cause Bandai didn't let them or something

But if Daifuku doesn't get to be human?

We can make comparisons to Cure Mofurun and the fairies from Delicious Party and how they only got human forms in the movies, but...at least they already had the ability to speak in the TV show.

That's what makes Daifuku's situation so unique. He's an entirely new character once he gets to speak. Not only does he have unique things to say, but he also has a lot of personality. Arguably the most personality of any mascot character in this franchise. He's got confidence, he seems to be witty and makes quips, and he has an ikemen voice for comedic effect.

If he really has even half the personality the fanartists on twitter seem to draw him with, he sounds like he'd make any situation in the TV show more entertaining with his presence. It feels like every episode he's not getting to speak is missing out on so many opportunities for fun interactions.

So I really hope the copium is right and he'll get to show up soon.

tl;dr: movie-exclusive precure or precure-adjacent transformations are one thing. daifuku in the wonderful precure movie is a whole-ass character. a character who already technically exists in the TV show. making that exclusive to the movie would be the wildest restriction they've ever done. so i hope he's not.

Something I’ve been spinning around in my brain for the past few weeks is the similarities and differences between galo and laios

And maybe that’s just me being silly about characters I like but like

They both share a lot of qualities but one thing I feel like they are opposite ends of the scale on is being able to read people and their reaction to that

Like laios seems to have a very very hard time understanding people’s feelings, especially towards him, and is distraught to find out when people don’t actually like him because they never outright said so. He doesn’t see how his interests would be off putting to other people, which isn’t inherently bad, but the whole situation seems to cause friction between him and other people. But like he obviously cares about people. He has animosity towards humanity for leaving him and his sisiter behind on a structural level, but he cares for his friends even when they hurt him. He deserves a better, more understanding world frankly lol

Galo on the other hand, to me, seems like he can read people better than I think people give him credit for. He could tell when Aina was kinda backhandedly calling him stupid for being brash, and he could tell when lios dragon was crying for gods sake. It’s not that he doesn’t understand what people feel about him, it’s that he has a pretty high level of not caring what people think of him, cus at the end of the day he’s got a job to do and that’s the most important thing to him. There’s still some things he’s oblivious about, but to me most of what people I think view as him being oblivious to is actually him just having a very high opinion of himself.

The only thing I can say he may be entirely oblivious to is Aina having a small crush on him, and I chalk that up to him seeing aina more like a sister and him being gay lol

I had just watched an ordinary and very pathetic servant fall and drop the expensive Victorian watermelon wedges on the floor. How disgusting, I thought, then I thought he would do for my evening's entertainment. Because even though I was surrounded by my rightful associates, the elites of society's hope, that itself was the problem when it came to my nocturnal tastes! For I was simply TOO dominant that I could never indulge my tastes with my peers. They were all almost as exalted as me! What I needed was an inferior, the scum of London's society, someone who I could punish and discipline, bending him to my indomitable will! Someone like... Lio Dippergate!!!

*Lio's POV*

I couldn't believe my eyes as Lord Prince Fides Germen strode dominantly over to me! I went into a panic and started babbling apologies. "This humble servant is very sorry, Germen-sama, for disrupting your evening with such an unsightly mishap! Please punish me however you see fit, or if you prefer, I shall remove myself from your sight at once!"

"I'll take the first option," he said decisively!! "and the second. Remove yourself up to my bedroom in the Victorian Palace Hotel and await me there where I will decide how you're to be punished."

I couldn't believe my ears! "Yes, your majesty, at once," I told Germen with a humble bow. Up close like this, his jaw was chiselled in stone, his light brown hair formed a crown of fierce spikes and his grey-brown eyes were filled with dark desire and dominance. It made my knees, already forming bruises from the marble floor, feel weak and yet eager for me to be on them. When he did me the undeserved honour of breathing near me, he smelled like English cologne and expensive English champagne. I wanted to serve him as much of it as he could drink (the champagne, not the cologne) for what was I to such a god but someone born to serve him?

Naegi gave me a final lingering look up and down before he turned and strode masculinely back to the adoring opera singer and all the other women (and..... men???) who immediately crowded around the lord prince to bask in his hope.

I stood for a disobediently long moment on my shaking legs and then, with a last shy glance at the incredibly sexy and handsome Fides Germen, I went and left the ball and ran to his hotel room as he'd commanded and let myself in with the staff key!!!

They get married at the Verstappen estate. Daniel wanted to elope so they didn't have to plan anything but Sophie insisted and called up Grace and they pulled rank. They have a garden party in the sprawling grounds. It's very classy. Isabella, Isaac, Luka and Lio are stinkin’ cute. 

Max and Daniel go off to fuck twice. The first time was handys after their first look (Charles reminded them that they’d have blowjob lips in all their pictures otherwise. Max thought that was a good idea, Jules vetoed). The second time they go to fuck is during the reception after the first dance because Daniel whispered in Max’s ear that he was wearing a special (and pretty) plug.

Daniel changes outfits three times because of course he would. His final late night reception party shirt was actually a tasteful pattern this time but if you looked closely (and only 3 people did) you’d see that the outline design was actually cocks with a ring on them 😊.

Carlos is there as a friend and Charles' date. They finally got together. Pierre is there with a new girlfriend. A different girl from the yacht party who was also a different girl from the engagement party. She's only in one group picture because no one trusts that she'll last longer than a few more weeks.

They live in the penthouse for a bit then they buy a house in the hills with a view of the city and the ocean. Daniel categorically will not move back into the estate and Max has no problems there. They get one more cat– a compromise because Max wanted a dog (since they now have a yard) and Daniel said no and sucked his dick so he'd stop bringing it up. This happens twice before Max actually does stop bringing it up because he doesn’t want to get pavloved into getting hard when thinking about dogs 🫣

They do have a daughter eventually, but like after a good while of just being married and having each other again. They have a lot of time to make up for!

Sewis absolutely has kids. They have three little gremlins! Twin girls and a sweet little boy. The middle daughter is soooo bossy like both her dads. She bosses Blake around and has him wrapped around her finger. She was the only one who didn’t cry when he first met her– she actually went to sleep, and that was during the colic phase so Sewis begged him to come over often since he seemed to be the only one to get her to rest. 

When Jules gets married, Daniel goes all out with the planning. Jules is exasperated as fuck but he lets Daniel have this because he knows his bestie is trying to ‘repay him’. Which they’ve spoken argued about but Daniel needs Jules to know how much he loves and appreciates him forever and ever til the end of time. They ended each wedding planning email with ‘fuck off’ and Jules’ said ‘fuck of please/respectfully/categorically/emphatically’. Daniel cackles each time.

Max and Daniel do not go off to fuck at Jules’ wedding. Not because of respect or anything so silly. But Daniel essentially made himself the wedding planner's assistant so he literally couldn’t step away. Charles laughed at Max’s grumblings. The wedding was gorgeous.

They still go to the cabin as often as possible. Daniel bought more land around it and they built another, bigger cabin so that the entire group plus spouses and all the kiddies can be comfortable. None of Pierre’s girlfriends have been to the cabin.

They have a number of romantic moments throughout the TNG series from arguably the first but DEFINITELY the second episode. but they only get together (briefly before divorcing) in an alternate timeline episode which is also the season finale. Also they have a kid together in Picard but are still not allowed to be together She was married to his best friend and he was in love with her but wouldn’t say anything because he wouldn’t want to damage his bestie’s marriage and then his friend died and they met again years later and shared a lot of romantic and sexual tension for years. He openly admitted (under mind reading) that he had loved her since his bestie was alive but felt he couldn’t act on it. In an alternate future they got married. In the canon future they got together and broke up repeatedly because trauma makes relationships hard sometimes and they have a kid together who is named after the aforementioned bestie. An episode forcing them to share thoughts makes him openly admit that he loves her and has loved her for years even when she was married to his best friend.

kit herondale and livvy blackthorn:

They were literally straight bait. So Kit, Livvy and Livvy’s twin brother Ty were a trio with their own side plots in TDA. And well. We literally meet Kit when Ty breaks into his house and puts a knife to his throat and Kit gets distracted by Ty’s eyes. Then later Kit and Livvy have a few moments and kiss once. Then Livvy dies. There are some necromancy shenanigans. Kit confesses his love to Ty then immediately flees the country. Like Kit/Ty was clearly endgame from the start but Livvy and Kit just made out once.

galo and aina (submitted as lio and galo):

Iirc, the whole time the audience was set up to believe that Galo will get together with a teammate named Aina (i might be completely wrong but i think she showed romantic interest in him). That's what usually happens, anyways. However, studio trigger turned that premise on its head with Galo's budding relationship with Lio. In order to save Lio, Galo kissed him. They kissed.

jeff winger and britta perry:

the show starts off with jeff creating the study group so that he can get with britta, they serve essentially as narrative foils, with jeff not caring about people and britta caring too much about people, they nearly get married on THREE (3) separate occasions, they're secret friends with benefits for an entire season but break up when the group finds out, they're the only two people from the core group left in greendale when the show ends; but in the end they make jeff's "true love interest" the girl who was half his age when the show started (36/18)...

angel and cordelia chase:

They met as characters on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but their dynamic doesn't take off until the Angel spinoff Because the showrunners of Angel didn't go in with the idea of putting these two together, the characters' friendship was allowed to develop organically without the assumption of romance, which then made the realization of their feelings for each other more satisfying. Unfortunately the shadow of Bangel (Buffy x Angel) still held over Angel's character, so I think it was a hard sell at the time and didn't gain a lot of popularity in the years since. Both these two characters grew alongside each other, supported each other, and despite knowing that they loved each other, let each other go to pursue their destinies. A really underrated het pairing!

matthew and mary crawley:

They spend multiple seasons full of tension to get their happy ever after. There are so many tropes used between these two. They finally get their shit together and get married, and then have a beautiful child together. Matthew is so happy about his child being born that he doesn't pay attention to the road and fucking DIES IN A CAR CRASH. And that's how their story ends. It makes me so livid every time I think about it lol they really killed him off like that right after and I mean RIGHT AFTER his child is born. It's so foul and every man that they set Mary up with after that doesn't feel nearly the same

keiichi maebara and rena ryugu:

Fluffy harem romcom twists into yandere horror, but then twists again into a story of friendship triumphing over everything. Really holds for any pairing with Keiichi, but the rooftop battle in part 6 is just too good. A recent manga spinoff has them married to total randos, so their respective sons can have the same kind of relationship.

raleigh beckett and mako mori:

Literally everything about the writing of Pacific Rim make it seem like they're setting up for a romance between these two and then they just. Don't. Despite this, "drift compatable" was one of the most popular AUs for couples after the film came out for a hot minute because of how romantic they made the concept seem. *gestures to the entire movie* seriously (note: "drift compatible" essentially describes an in-universe quality of the relationship between raleigh and mako, meaning this quality was so romantic that it would be implemented for other ships in au fanfics)

Yoyo look inside the delivered parcel, eyes wide and glittering. With a happy smile on his lips, the turns towards Dio. "Look, Papa! Look what Uncle Lio made me!" The boy is clearly delighted as he takes up and examines every little knitted and crocheted tsum-tsum like plushie, ending with the big otter that he hugs tightly to his chest.

"These are all amazing!" Now he needs to figure out how to arrange them and also what to give Lio in return, because such an amazing gift as all these plushies deserves a thank you gift. He doesn't know what yet, but he'll figure something out eventually. If he really struggles with it, he can always ask his papa.

got any new ocs that you’re planning on writing for any future fics?

My last Jujutsu Kaisen fic won't feature any new ocs. It's just the conclusion to Michi and Lio's stories. I'm planning on the sequel to Owl of You which doesn't use any ocs because I actually don't have Tokyo Ghoul Ocs.

So there's no ocs for upcoming fic project, but I can introduce you to the two main characters for a completely original story I'm working on.

The Title is Generation Exo, and basically the idea for the story came from when people kept asking me if I was going to write an MHA fix it fic after I wrote my 10,000 essays on how much I was disappointed by the ending. I was seriously considering writing a fic where the league survives, but that seemed like so much effort for a series that I've mostly fallen out of love with that I'd be better off using those ideas to write my own superhero story.

So, here are the two heroes.

Anastassya Filippovna Barashkov

Nastya Barakov, also known as Nasty to the people who dislike her. She's the former leader of this story's equivalent of the League of Villains. She was raised her entire life to be a leader, and basically has been training to use her powers since she was 12 but she is basically a bully with an inferiority superiority complex and sucks so hard at being a leader than the entire team turned against her and tried to kill her.

She almost died but was saved by a random stranger. However, she's not particularly grateful to this stranger and instead of thanking him she decides to turn him into her lackey, and use him as a pawn for her revenge against her former team while pretending to be training him to be a better hero.

She's considered a madwoman by most of her ex-friends, she's dangerous and unstable, and is deep down aware that she's not a good person and doesn't think she deserves to have friends which is why she can't trust other people and relies on manipulation or outright abuse instead.

She can steal powers from others, but there are a lot of conditions for using her power. She can't just take them she has to form a contract with the original power owner to let her borrow the power. They have to like, actually sign something. She also can't control which powers she uses, when she decides to use someone else's power she has to roll a roullete and gets a power from one of the many she's collected at random. Basically like Chrollo but if he was forced to flip to a completely random page in the book.

Her hero name is Risk because of how much her power is completely up to luck.

Lev Nikolayevich Myshkin

Also called Mysh by his friends, and mockingly called a Prince at the private school both he and Nastya attend because of how insanely rich his father is.

Mysh is the random stranger who saved Nastya. She is immediately surprised to find out he's not just some rando who passed her by on the street, but a superhero just like her. However, at the moment he's not interested in going to one of the hero schools or being an official hero, so he just uses an app his friend made for him to do random chores for people around his community who post on his app. He's basically an errand boy with superpowers.

Mysh is incredibly unambitious, and pretends to be a normal, boring person in order to avoid responsibility. Right away that's proven not to be true, because not only is he insane enough to just, save a random stranger on the street, learn she's a former villain and then let her stay at his house anyway. He also falls in love with her almost immediately. Mysh also, despite being inexperienced, possesses the power to control gravity which is insanely broken.

Unlike Nastya who had a shitty life, Mysh was born with a lot of luck. He basically won the superpower lottery by having a strong, easy to use power with almost no drawbacks. The only thing really holding him back is his own laziness and lack of drive. He's thoroughly convinced himself he'll never be anyone special and doesn't bother to try. He does dream of being a hero, but he doesn't want to leave behind his normal, every day life.

One good metaphor for this is Mysh is actually pretty decent at art. He fills piles of notebooks up with doodling, because he hates paying attention in class and only puts in the effort to maintain a solid C+ averange, but they're just doodles. He wanted to be a comic book artist when he was a little kid, but then his dad took an interest and said he would pay for art school which made Mysh immediately hide his notebooks away in his closet out of embarrassment. Since, being an artist isn't a REAL career, and he doesn't think he would ever be succesful at it.

Mysh is a really sensitive pure hearted soul, who is kind of too pure for the world he exists in. Which is why he is very blind to people's dark sides, and doesn't suspect Nastya at all which leads to him being manipulated for most of the story.

FLASHBACK NIGHT:

One of my favorite early Lucie and Connor stories is Swiss Moonlight. I was wondering if we could hear about things from Nico and Lexi’s povs. Leading up to Nico finding them, Nico going back inside to tell Lexi what he just witnessed, the talk Lexi and Lucie have the next day. Maybe Lexi has to talk Nico off the ledge so he doesn't kick Connor out of the house for the night. How do the other family members react?

Nico Hischier deserves a fucking Medal of Honor for the amount of restraint he just showed Connor Wood.

Connor fucking Wood who was about to be balls deep in his daughter.

Nico shudders, feeling violently angry at the image of Lucie naked in the moonlight. And her damn attitude too! UGH! None of his daughters get him this bent out of shape like Lucie. Her little sisters are sleeping in their upstairs bedrooms while she is floundering around in the lake with a Wood.

This has been a consistent theme since Lucie brought Connor home from America. Nico hadn't even been trying to catch them at first. But suddenly, he started to see the way Connor's hands were on his daughter. Too confident, spread too wide, and always fastened to a hip or a thigh or worse, the back of her neck. Nico didn't like it. So he's been doing his best to keep them busy and out of the house since.

Nico's shoes hit the tile of the kitchen and he huffs out an annoyed sigh. He anxiously mutters Swiss explicatives, heading to the upstairs closet where the extra towels are then he goes downstairs, tossing them onto the couch where they are clearly visible to the two love sick puppies creeping back up the lawn.

He should have never let Lexi talk him into letting Connor and Lucie stay in her bedroom together. They already sleep in the same bed, babe. Don't be so naive. That's what Lexi had said to him. Nico wishes he could go back to five damn minutes ago when he was naive to whatever that punk does to his daughter.

Nico practically storms his feet through the hallway getting back to his wife. She is awake, squinting at the light he flips on.

"What?" She asks, closing her eyes because its too bright.

"Lucie and Connor were just out in the lake."

"Okay."

"Naked." Nico finishes with disgust.

"Ah. Okay." Lexi rubs at her eyes. "Are they still out there?"

"No they ran back in here with their tails between their legs. I am not okay with them sleeping in the same room anymore. He needs to move into the guest room downstairs. Hell, I should kick him out of this damn house for what I just saw down there."

"What is that going to do, Neeks?" Lexi asks tiredly. "Besides upset Lucie to the point that she... what? Disappears with Connor to Lio's extra bedroom? So we get less time with her? Or maybe she heads over to a hotel. Whatever you think kicking him out of that room is gonna solve, won't be happening."

Nico juts his bottom jaw out, sliding his angry gaze off his wife.

"She should act like an adult."

"She... kinda is. And that's what you don't like." Lexi points out gently. She folds back his side of the bed, rubbing the sheets for him to join her.

"Her little sisters are asleep in this house. She needs to be a better example."

"I agree with that." Lexi nods. "I will talk to her about that."

"He's corrupting her, Lex." Lexi tries to stop her laugh but she can't. She ends up snorting into the palm of her hand.

"Connor corrupting Lucie?" She tilts her head incredulously, blinking slowly. "Babe." Nico juts his jaw again, crossing his arms over his chest. "You know it was her idea."

"Okay. I do. Yes. I know. You didn't have to say that. You could at least be supportive of me gaslighting the fuck out of myself."

"Our girl is grown up now."

"I fucking hate it. I want her to be five again, holding onto my hand at the rink because she doesn't want to get separated from me in the game day crowd." Nico groans, covering his face with his hands. "Not 19 and skinny dipping with her doofus of a boyfriend."

"He's a doofus who loves her a lot." Lexi cards her fingers through the side of his salt and pepper hair.

Nico doesn't say it to Lexi, but he misses the days where the only man Lucie loved was him.

The following morning, Lexi Hischier dabbles around their bedroom with the door open, ears perked to listen for the distinct swoosh of Lucie's door opening. When she hears it, she smiles at the two bed heads.

"Good morning!" She cheers.

"Morning." Connor smiles back. Lucie squints, looking so much like Nico for a moment it floors Lexi.

"Luc, can we chat?"

"Sure." She sighs. Lucie waves Connor down to the main level to grab breakfast. The poor boy hesitates, clearly not wanting to face Nico downstairs alone.

"Nico's on a run." Lexi tells him. Maybe she should have let him sweat, but honestly she feels for the kid. Lucie can be reckless and persuasive, a damning combination.

Lucie yawns, throwing herself onto the bed Lexi just finished making.

"What's up?" Lexi licks her lips, scanning over her daughter's purposefully cool and unbothered posture. She's not buying it.

"How was your swim?"

"Cold."

"Mmm that's not what your dad thought last night."

"He's so dramatic."

"Lucie." Lexi gets stern with her voice. "I understand you're here to show Connor around, have some fun, enjoy your summer vacation. But that..." She points to the lake. "Not happening again. You have two younger sisters who look up to you and could have walked out at any point last night and been exposed to things they should not be seeing or doing." Lucie's eyes drop to the comforter, looking a bit ashamed. "Dad and I have been generous with the bedroom situation. I went to bat for you to get that arrangement with the hope that you would keep things behind that door. I understand things are different for you in New York, but when you're here, you respect our house rules. If you can't., then you need to find somewhere else to stay for the rest of the summer."

Lexi watches Lucie's face, waiting for a flicker of defiance but she finds none. Clearly, Lucie is rattled and embarrassed from last night.

"Okay." Lucie finally says. "We will clean it up."

"Thank you." She waves Lucie off the bed. "Fix that before you join us downstairs, please." Lexi requests, then heads towards the stairs. Connor is laying on the living room floor, watching a movie with Sophie and Mack. He glances over at Lexi then blushes like crazy. Lexi smirks as she walks into the kitchen.

"Oh boy..." She sighs, shaking her head.

Times are a-changing in the Hischier girls household.

What's your favorite Galo moment? Mine is when he says that he'll even save Kray, too. And then punching him in the face. It was a very satisfying one-two punch.

YES yes that one is up there for me, that might be my favorite moment too. Just, everything in the engine room was great, but that specific moment, that moment where he makes it clear that it doesn't matter what happens, who he's saving, he's going to save every last person every single time, because that's just who he is.

I was watching Promare with my friends because one of them hadn't seen Promare yet and we were getting so rowdy, and half of them were like "You know what I think Galo deserves to kill, I think Lio deserves to kill" and I absolutely get there, there are a lot of times in these kinds of movies where you can argue killing someone is a moral good. But you know, A) at that point, it's clear that Kray is no longer an actual threat anymore, unlike, I dunno, the Joker mid-rampage in the Dark Knight, and B) It's a really good encapsulation of Galo's personality.

Like. He's very shonen protagonist. He's very hot headed, act first think later. Plus I'm sure he has a lot of complicated emotions to unpack about Kray, but in that moment he still wanted nothing more than to punch him, so he did. But Galo takes his job so seriously, because it's his passion, and his passion is saving lives No Matter What. (This post makes some really good points on this too, got me thinking about this big time.) Sure, he enjoys the attention it gets him, he enjoys the praise and the respect. He's a bit of an egomaniac, and there's no taking that away from him. But at his heart, he cares about humanity as a whole, and if that means saving bad people as well as good people he will do it. And there is nothing that will ever, ever make him change his mind and compromise that belief, certainly not Kray Foresight.

You know what other Galo bit I love? And I can't call it a moment because it's kind of spread out, but it starts when Galo's first freed from prison, and he sees the Lio Dragon destroying the city, and the first thing he says is "He's crying." And he decides then and there that he's going to save the city AND save Lio. Because Galo loves fighting and beating up the bad guys, he would've been so happy to kick Lio's ass if he thought Lio was a monster. But he'd spoken to Lio, he knew that Lio had that same belief as him, that Lio wanted to save everyone no matter what happened. And when he's talking Lio down in the helicopter, that's what gets through to him, that he saved Lio because he knows Lio would be devastated if he realized he was turning into the monster that people saw him as.
