today in the latest saga of "I do not experience stranger danger in person" a man knocked on my door to ask if the microwave by the curb outside worked and I told him to go get it and we'd take it inside my house to test it. he was polite if clearly a little shocked/flustered and as I sat on the ground microwaving a mug of water (to ensure it didn't just turn on but heated things as well) he asked with some amount of blustering and apology "how are you that thick without being fat?" which made me burst out laughing so. no matter how badly you feel about yourself, someone out there thinks you're impossibly attractive. thank you, complete stranger I voluntarily let into my house on a Sunday afternoon. I now have the emotional strength to eat dinner despite being a size 20.
