do you have any mood board/ pics of what you were envisioning Kara��s outfits in this latest footballer au to look like? she has killer style, I’m stealing her look,

kara in footballer au is based on mostly instagram posts of male footballers, with some random things thrown in. i also often go look at brands like j.crew, bonobos, banana republic, so on for like, general outfitting. for the last two chapters of hcwbl (copyright @lynnearlington) when they change outfits all the time at thanksgiving there was a lot of that going on. there's really only a few specific clothing items in the footballer fic! i'll drop those as well as some general inspo under the cut.

Just started my youth is yours (FINALLY). I've been meaning to read it for a while but i never got around to it. When i tell you I'm by the second chapter and i am already in tears. I was literally crying in class dude genuinely i think this fic is gonna break me

What was the first scene you thought/wrote for hockey au and myiy?

Just wanted to compliment you on your writing(and Cassie) cause I realised that my top fav fics that I keep going back to and rereading are yours! It's silly but I never put 2 and 2 together. I'm constantly reading myiy, stay the night and now the hockey au

I don't think the first scene I conceived of for hockey au has actually happened yet so I can't really say.

For MYIY...gosh that was so long ago, I'd have to ask Cassie. It might have been like whenever Lena tells Kara in the first chapter "I was so in love with you" when they're still broken up. That just sounds like me. I have a certain brand like that.

Lena saying “I want to” was such an incredibly intimate line that struck such a nerve with me, thank you for that. This chapter has been my favorite thus far- the pics with the trophy/ overall IG boyfriend role, general silliness, ice skating and then them straight up ditching the bitchy brunch and heading home. I do hope at some point Veronica truly gets that she can’t “have” Lena anymore. I’m so excited for the rest of this fic/journey, selfishly I’m hoping Lena does go to the outdoor hockey game full WAG mode. Thank you for these idiots, I kept thinking about the simple yet powerful quote “to be loved is to be known” throughout my reading.

Thank you!! They are falling head first into deep intimacy without meaning to and as you can imagine they will both handle this totally maturely.

Lena's evolution into full WAG is my favorite thing about imagining hcwbl future I must admit. Once Kara is in the pros she just full sends it.

The next chapter is, in fact, nearly done because it fell victim to what all my fic chapters do - I had to cut a chapter in half for length.

So I do know it is 2025 but I just went onto the Spring store to check out your designs and I was sad to see the Lakehawks stuff taken down. I had a hoodie I loved from that line and I lost it and was debating replacing it but now it looks like I can't. I assume they got taken down for the lack of people ordering them or something, but if you ever did put them back up, I would probably get another!

okay, so, you are not the first person to ask me about this haha - i should say that what happened was that spring changed from teespring and like, completely overhauled their system and so therefore retired old designs! i wasn't even sure if i still had the old lakehawks logo but I JUST FOUND IT

i have updated the store and it is now under construction - i have added a normal lakehawks basketball design and will get around to adding kara's jersey back.

IF ANYONE HAS DESIGNS THEY WANT ADDED PLEASE LET ME KNOW. i am thinking about putting in a vandermeer hockey one for hcwbl.
