I would love to see a drawing of Ari picking up Rocky and him just being like, WTH.
Also, what does Ari think of the band and Wick, if she interacts with them?
i'd love to see that too, so i drew it! ♥️
as for the band + Wick, all had not so great first impressions but Ari eventually came around and thinks they're okay guys overall
you won't get her to admit she actually enjoys Zib's company, though
#Zib's sooo annoying- but in a welcoming type of way because banter's fun and their pessimistic energies often match gsdkgsds#lackadaisy#lackadaisy oc#rocky rickaby#selfship#art tag#asks#anonymous#hc tag

Since the identity of the Sweet Sixteen Killer is known in Timeline 2, I don't think it would be as big of a part of the town's identity as it in Timeline 1. So I propose that the big unsolved mystery the town builds itself around in Timeline 2 isn't the killings.
It's Jamie.
The supposed exchange student who was only in town for five days, who knew things she shouldn't (couldn't) have, who disappeared without a trace and, when looked into, never even existed to begin with.
#I mean I guess they could still focus on the killer. let me have this#literally vibrating I have sooo many thoughts about Timeline 2#GOD I love time travel stuff#I hope you guys are prepared for me to be super annoying about this movie#Jamie tag#horror tag#hc tag#totally killer#jamie hughes#man kinda want to write one of those fics that's in the style of a Buzzfeed Unsolved episode

it kinda sucks that you hc a canonically pansexual character as gay (clef)
i deliberated not answering this one bc i dont rlly mean to get into representation discourse or w/e during pride month of all things but i think the sentiment behind it is very fair so i feel bad ignoring it.
firstly, i think it needs to be said that clefs "canon" romantic orientation is very much just, whatevers funniest or most poignant for what youre trying to do with him. i understand the sentiment, there are characters in scp who are queer in a very specific and straightforward way where i'd also be upset if people erased that about them, but clef is not that guy. he is probably the single most contradictory character across the entire wiki, and everyones got a bit of their own take on him.
secondly, to defend my own take a little, i don't even really see clef as strictly homoromantic. i think when applying queer labels to fictional characters one tends to kind of treat them as these ontological, prescriptive truths, rather than how labels are used in real life, by the individual themselves to approximate their lived experience.
what i'm trying to say is i don't think clef the character, at least the version of him i'm most fond of, the fifty something year old reformed casual homophobe from resurrection and co, really knows what the term "pansexual" means, or "mlm", or "demiromantic", which are other words i'd use to describe him if i were using the prescriptive approach.
i think clefs relationship to romance is deeply complicated and not something he spends a lot of time really thinking about, and in practice, despite the theroretical breadth of his capacity to be attracted to other people, he's really only attracted to men, which is to say one particular man who also just so happens to be dead, so there's no point in really dwelling on it.
#hope this didnt come off as too snide or anything i just feel like this is a semantic debate more than anything#calling clef gay in that context just worked better 4 the joke i was trying to make‚ my general headcanon for him tends to veer closer to#“unlabeled mlm”#but i also dont think he dates women at all in practice. for reasons he also doesn't like to dwell on#anyway. happy pride! i love you n if you see clef as pan thats so fair and i dont even necessarily disagree with you#i just think hes old + has issues#not art#hc tag

Silly Tara hcs time 🎉🎉🎉🎉
She secretly likes to get the "pat pat" on the head. Sam and Chad are the only ones that do it, and tara will always pretend to get annoyed, but in reality, the three of them know the truth.
She loves to get in the store's cart whenever her and sam go grocery shopping
Tara to sam as soon as they step a foot in a store:
She loves to deeply observe objects and gets easily mesmerised by every little thing. Sam bought her a lava lamp, she had no idea of what it was, she just needed a lamp for tara's new room in new york and it looked nice... Imagine how surprised she was when her little sister stared at it for hours
Tara is a cat-magnet. Every time they're somewhere that isn't their apartment, a cat seems to find her. Now, that wouldn't be bad if sam didn't have to stop her sister from adopting all of them.
Sam lets tara get occasionally drunk (under her supervision) because she gets in a really funny mood and becomes exceptionally cuddly.

Joronia’s scepter-rapiers (named Penumbra and Perilune) have been passed down through the Floralian royal family for generations. Having been soulbonded to their wielder, they were intimately acquainted with the inner workings of the young queen’s failing mind. Even as she fell from grace and descended into tyranny and bloodshed, their loyalty to the Sectra Clan’s beloved heiress remained supreme above all else.
Seeing as the Clan’s regal bloodline died with her, they were passed down to her childhood friend and court wizard, Taranza. They don’t see much use in combat nowadays — the mage is no swordsman, and prefers to cast barehanded — but he takes great care of them in the absence of any living heir, polishing them and communicating with them as regularly as he can.

hi!! do you think lestat and louis primarily speak french or english together? did this change over the years for them?
also, i wonder how armand would relate to languages, since he’s had to move between at least four throughout his life (ukrainian, italian, french, english). i know he’s doing his telepathy thing whenever possible, but when he has to speak what does he use and with whom?
i guess this raises a larger question of how language works for vampires with pReTeRnATuRaL AbiLiTy who can read people’s minds, (sometimes) communicate telepathically, and also learn stuff really fast. it’s been a second since i’ve revisited the books, so maybe i’m forgetting something, but in my memory this wasn’t often explicitly described.
thanks <3
Hello!!! I'm sorry this took so long, I'm catching up!
I think Louis and Lestat started off speaking French, but as New Orleans started becoming more American after the Louisiana Purchase, they probably ended up speaking some kind of French-English hybrid. I'm sure by the modern day it's kind of incomprehensible, especially as Lestat picks up new slang that neither of them knows how to use and Louis refuses to stop talking like the cryptkeeper. And neither of them likely spoke standard Old World French to begin with so their shared French dialect is probably a weird love child of 18th century Auvergnat/Occitan and Creole French.
Armand is a little freak so who knows what he has going on, especially since Anne gave him like three canonical accents before she decided where he was from. I think he (along with other vampires of his age and broad experiences) probably speak a very unique form of weird. Because they live so long, my hypothesis is that by a certain age most vampires develop a "vampire accent" that varies by general region and I imagine Armand has this to a pretty extreme degree. I'm sure he's perfectly able to switch between languages based on who he's speaking to, but I think the accent probably carries over.
This is just a headcanon, but I think he would prefer speaking English since he most likely has very negative associations with Ukrainian, Italian, and French (same reason I hc that he doesn't like any of his names). The people he speaks to most in the books are Louis, Daniel, Sybelle, and Benji so English is an easy default anyway. He probably speaks French with Lestat and Italian with Marius and Bianca though.
In general it seems like vampires would have a pretty easy time with languages, like it's not instant but they only have to hear a word or phrase once to know it permanently. I'm not sure if telepathy has to take place in a specific language, but I always assumed that it kind of transcends human speech, like a vampire rosetta stone. Anyone who receives a telepathic message from a vampire will intuitively understand and, if it's another vampire, respond. IF that makes sense. Kind of like how pop culture Thor has Allspeak?

uber specific headcanons !
(aka i have a lot of angst coming)
—————————————————————-
- sam prefers the middle seat on plans because it’s easier to be tara protector. tara just thinks she’s insane, but is happy to take the window seat
- tara loves consistency. patterns, routines, counting. sam loves spontaneous activity. they clash over plans all the time.
- sam hates grocery shopping, but it’s more bearable when tara pushes her around in the cart
- both sisters hate period pieces, but love films like ‘ten things i hate about you’
- sam’s a popcorn person, tara’s a pretzel person
- the sisters both had their ears pierced as babies, so when chad mentions wanting his pierced, they squabble over who gets to do it. (tara does the piercing while sam holds him down)
- they are a café bustelo household, and are very ant-keurig (even though mindy swears by it)
- tara loves youtube essays, and sam loves youtube commentaries
- as kids, sam learned tap, tara learned ballet
- tara loves the ‘orange cat/black cat’ relationship memes, and even though sam doesn’t get it, she knows deep down that she’s the black cat
- sam loves black beans and tara loves pinto. chipotle runs are a battle each time.
- kombucha is one of sam’s favorite drinks. tara gags dramatically each time she opens one.
- tara loves those ‘jars being pushed down stairs’ tiktoks. she begs sam to let her push their bottles of soda down the stairs, but sam refuses (she knows she will have to clean all the glass up)
- mindy and tara break all their jars of pickles and onions anyways, because sam doesn’t like pickled things so why should it matter
#scream#sam carpenter#tara carpenter#carpenter sisters#something soft before the storm#café bustelo is the only coffee that matters#tara definitely pierced chad’s ear and he cried like a baby after#mindy still has the video and will send it in the group chat at random#pickled foods are gross there i said it#hc tag

Hey so like, I’ve been thinking about what it would be like for Ari and Rocky to flirt with each other in the Ari’s native language. And I wanted to know… could you picture Ari teaching Rocky Portuguese at some point in their relationship?
i can see her teaching him the basics, and at some point he can probably understand it well enough that it no longer sounds like total gibberish when she talks to her family
on the topic of flirting, Ari calls him endearing terms in portuguese sometimes ♥️

Roger w 11 and 12
UNHINGED CHARACTER ASKS.
11. Forget the sex or die trope. This character must attempt to rob a bank or they will die. Do they succeed/how much do they get? (If you have extra time, what’s their plan? Who is their crew?)
for all that Roger generally flounders trying to cover up his involvement in a crime in the pen arc, he is very well motivated by desperation, and this is the guy who masterminded a decent scheme to keep himself out of jail, and that went undisputed for a decade. so! I'm going to say succeed, but this isn't going to be Lupin iii levels of heist
importantly, he's going to act mostly alone, rather than with a whole crew — he can't let Liz know he's a common bankrobber, that's mortifying. Burke would be the best choice of partner (and pre-accident, he'd almost certainly pick burke) but that's inviting a lifetime of holding that over his head or extorting him for it. he could twist Carolyn or Vicki's arms into helping him, but they'd probably talk, and David, while a great kid to have with you on a heist, would probably extort him worse than Burke.
I really have two different answers, depending on what part of the show we're in. in the beginning, I think he'd pick on Joe: he's muscle, generally obedient, and Roger can use his working for the family to hold over him, and importantly, he won't talk because to do so would sacrifice his own pristine reputation. he also might be convinced for a share of the money (to marry/take care of Maggie) and Joe, while usually morally sound, has been persuaded before to take up nefarious grave robbing when he thought it was necessary to help the family.
The basic plan would be to use the leverage of his name to get them to open up the bank after hours — i.e. that Liz wants something from the family vault, and he's fetching it (because she's still in Liz Jail) and they have to have it now because of whatever excuse — mostly, because Collinsport runs on the Collins Whim. That ensures the least amount of witnesses possible, and probably only one employee, and a pretty safe getaway. He'd make sure plenty of people in the Blue Whale heard him say he was heading to the bank, which could supply any number of possible suspects.
Roger would then use his charm on the poor teller, and get him to open up whatever (I'm assuming this is just the local bank, so not a huge institution with complicated security, there's probably only one vault). then, enter Joe, in some kind of mask, knock out Roger to make things look good (which he has always wanted to do), and either knock out the teller or just intimidate him (since this is Joe, probably the latter) until he gets away with however much he can fit in a seabag.
It's not gonna take long for the Collinsport police to get there because they're like. two minutes away. so it's important that he hurts Roger pretty significantly, such that the teller is motivated to get him to the hospital before he calls the police. (again. Joe has dreamed of times like these). stash the money in Roger's trunk, and he can make it to the Evanses within a few minutes, who will supply a solid alibi that he was there with Maggie the whole night. Roger, when he comes to, will of course refuse medical care, and insist on driving himself back to Collinwood, where Patterson can question him at his convenience. By which time, one hopes, he'd have already put the money in some little secret compartment, and the worst thing he has to worry about is David finding it.
but that's all if this is pre-Barnabas. post? of course he's robbing a bank with his bestie Julia, who a) loves to do a little crime, b) has the most braincells of anyone, and c) has the powers of hypnosis and milf audacity on her side. the basic premise is the same, because they still don't want any extra witnesses if they can help it, but let Jules hypnotize the guy at the bank and they can both get away with significant chunks of money, with very little suspicion cast on either of them. It's still possible that Roger's car could be noticed, which is probably the most vulnerable spot in their getting suspected — it'd be pretty essential that Julia didn't erase his memory of their being there entirely, even let Roger make whatever withdrawal he was going to before the hypnosis, so that when he's questioned he remembers both of them making a normal visit and leaving.
12. This character suddenly finds themself on the titanic. Do they survive?
probably! first and foremost, Roger is basically indestructible. people have tried to kill him many times and he's emerged each time with a few scratches from things he definitely should have died from, or at least been severely injured by. and a Collins can't die from a sinking ship in the middle of the frozen ocean. please. it's in his genes. he's cursed to be a miserable maritime survivor.
but, more seriously: it's likely Roger would be a first class passenger, which means his odds of survival are much better, even if, on the whole, not many men survived. he's also, well. selfish. and entirely willing to make sure he gets on the lifeboat instead of a woman or child he doesn't know. he may not have any joie de vivre to speak of, but when the chips are down, he's preserving his own skin.
for the sake of hypothetical, I'm going to say that he didn't sail on his own, but went with the rest of his family. having David also increases his chances of survival, even if David would much rather just push him overboard, since parents with children held priority over childless adults. today, he is a loving father that cannot bear to be separated from his beloved son. tomorrow, who knows.
there's also the fact that Liz wouldn't let him drown. she'd pull him bodily out of the water if she had to. there's being willing to sell your brother for one corn chip; and then there's Liz facing the prospect of her baby brother, a Collins, dying a slow, miserable, awful death. so she'd do, or say, whatever she had to to get him in that boat with her and Carolyn and David, she wouldn't leave Roger behind.

I WANNA BE THE FIRST TO ASK FOR ALL YOUR INHUMAN BIOLOGY THOUGHTS!!! PERSONALLY I LIKE THE THOUGHT OF BONES\SKIN BEING HARDER THAN NORMAL
(me when inhuman biology^)
YAAAY THEO
You remain my biggest supporter in my insanity.
Okay SO I like to think Inhumans all have slightly non-human features, even before Terrigenesis. I have a lot of headcanons about their biology, most of them somewhat rooted in canon.
Seeing as their alien DNA is Kree DNA, I took inspiration from Kree biology, but toned it down so it's just enough to be uncanny: slightly too sharp canines, slightly too pointy ears, blood that's slightly too dark/purple, etc cetera et cetera. Enough that you'd be able to recognize that something is off, but not really be able to pinpoint what.
(I also headcanon that, while still incredibly rare, Inhumans are more likely than regular humans to be born with tails. This one is not based in canon Kree biology at all I just think tails are cool ASDFGHJKL.)
Based on what we see the various Inhuman characters go through over the course of Agents of SHIELD (and also the fact that their powers would probably kill them without it), I'd say it's pretty likely that increased durability is probably a canon baseline Inhuman trait. Jumping off of that, I think Inhumans should have increased strength/speed/agility as well.
I also think their average height should be several inches above average human height. This is inspired solely by almost every single Kree we see being absolutely fuckin massive.
Other miscellaneous/post Terrigenesis headcanons include:
A lot of Inhumans develop tapetum lucidum (the thing that makes animals eyes glow in the dark) after going through Terrigenesis.
Higher body temperature.
Yknow how cats yawn really big and it shows off all their sharp teeth? Most Inhumans yawn like that.
After Terrigenesis their resting heart rate is much faster than that of a regular human.
#I know you haven't seen Agents of SHIELD yet so this might not make complete sense#(or any)#but there aren't any spoilers so you're good 👍#og fandom post tag#hc tag
