answered previously, but in terms of who gets hit on the most? absolutely zeke but its mostly cuz hes tall asdfdgh and hazel cuz she'll talk to and befriend anyone

F - Is my favourite

willow is my main source of joy, and i have a soft spot for rowan and violet too. they’d been bouncing around in my head for ages before i actually committed to developing them

U - Is the most unapologetic for the way they live their life

id say briar. she really doesn’t give a shit about what other people think, and especially cant be bothered if someones tryna judge her life choices

lol im gonna go with…. hazel, ivy, zeke, and benni. kinda a weird combo but whatever lmao

18 (What makes them laugh?)

Hazel: Almost anything. She’s very giggly, and prides herself on taking everything lightheartedly

Ivy: She’s pretty easy to get laughing too, but there are two things that will always get her and there total opposite sides of the spectrum. 1) dirty jokes. If anyone makes a “that’s what she said” joke she’ll lose her shit. And 2) funny faces. Significantly more kid-friendly lol, but anyone crossing their eyes or puffing out their cheeks and she’ll be in stitches

Zeke: He doesn’t seem like a super laughy guy, but he really is. He’s the type where if you get him going, he giggles non-stop lmao. Puns, dad jokes, and just generally bad jokes are some of his favourites, and Ty fully takes advantage of that fact

Benni: They’re pretty stoic, honestly. It takes a lot to get them going, but once you do it’s hard to make them stop. I’d say a lot of physical gags, like some just being generally silly, especially if it’s someone who’s typically not

hazel bb, we could never do this without her

I made Hazel cuz I like MCs that call characters out on their bullshit, and that is absolutely the kind of energy I want someone to have with Priya

And don’t get me wrong, Hazel’s very sweet, but she will not take someone’s shit, not by the time she’s on LI, and especially not when she’s older

She knows what’s right and wrong for her, and she’s not going to seriously compromise it for someone, especially not someone as flaky as Priya

Heads up on spoilers for For Real, it’s gonna be a while til I’m positing it again, I want to get stuff pre-written, but I have a lot to say akdjfsd

So the whole premise of For Real post-villa is that they break up and get back together a ton- which isn’t healthy, don’t do that its very taxing- and i do swear they’re endgame, but it’s angsty and its great

So throughout the rest of the fic, Hazel’s for sure going to become increasingly jaded which is so fun to do to a bright and bubbly character

Like it’s bad enough that she’s been burned in the past, but burned by the same person so many times? Not fun

But I think one of my favourites things I’ve done with her is keep her levelheadedness no matter what

Even if she’s emotional, or someone’s in her business, or she’s just fucking exhausted, she can be very calm and mature about things

I’ve only got one moment where that cracks written and I love it, but that’s legit not her and I kind of love how cool she is about everything

- Hazel has a younger brother and a younger sister, very much so big sis vibes

- Her sister’s quite serious and was very against her going on Love Island, but she’s usually against most things Hazel does

- Her brother’s pretty similar to her, a wild child, but even more wild cuz he’s never really had responsibilities

- Hazel was a lot easier on Rocco than everyone else cuz she saw her brother in him and wanted to help him learn, not just shame him

- It also helps that her job is being understanding, she’s usually very good at being mature and empathetic

- She was definitely the peacemaker in the Villa, and that’s the first instance of her and Priya getting close, when Hazel stood up for her and tried to get Lottie to back down

- She’s the mum friend unless she’s drunk, then all inhibitions are gone and you have pure, unrestrained Hazel, and it’s quite a sight

- I’ve actually got a Drunk Hazel wip oneshot going lmao

- But she’s usually the one taking care of people and being the voice of reason, and a lot of that started from trying to handle her younger siblings

- She was always the one in charge and babysitting and packing lunches, and that’s kinda stuck with her all her life

ah, yes. Hazel. i haven’t talked much about her, have i?

So, you know those people that are super bright and bubbly but with a kinda messed up past that they don’t tell anyone about because it’d ruin their bright and bubbly image?

Yeah, Hazel’s one of those.

Her last relationship when she goes on Love Island was six years prior, when she was 21/22, and she hadn’t even touched dating since, she’d been scared of it, honestly. And she doesn’t scare easy, she likes risks and staring things right in the face until they concede, but dating is a big no for her. She didn’t even go on LI looking for love, just a good time, so the whole Priya thing through her for a bit of a loop, though she was determined not to let it show.

But basically, by the time of that last relationship, it was her second long term one. First was when she was 19 or so, and ended because she was too clingy and the guy didn’t like her constantly calling to check in and holding his hand in public and being all around involved, those sorts of things. But Hazel’s not stupid, she knows to learn from her mistakes, so she went into the second relationship with a lot of distance between them. She was never the one to reach out, to text first, to plan dates, none of that stuff. She sat there and let him do all the work. And she thought it was working, she really did, until she caught him cheating on her with one of her best friends and everything kinda... imploded on her. 

Her friend group cut her out and took the cheater’s side, her boyfriend threw her out and would not accept any blame, he always told her it was her fault she didn’t try hard enough, that him cheating doesn’t matter because she wasn’t invested anyway. When she tried to move her stuff out, he stood in the doorway and held the fact that she never said “I love you” over her and was just a real dick about it. She had to move into a dorm at her uni for the rest of her time there, and didn’t talk to anyone. The relationship and holding back was hard enough, but the isolation of it all really got to her. After she got her undergrad, she buried herself in her master’s and her work and slowly started rebuilding herself and creating the bright and bubbly Hazel we all know.

So yeah, not the most fun memories for Hazel, no. So if she’s a bit wonky in future For Real chapters, bare with her. She’s kinda new to this whole “healthy relationship” thing
