Just finished rewatching Macross Delta (not the movies, they’ll be for another time) and want to write so much so here, my ideas :  Freyja is poly, it’s a fact : she is so full of love, I can’t imagine her loving just one person, she probably doesn’t have the words but she’ll forge platonic and romantic relationships 

Walküre is qpr you can’t change my mind : Reina and Makina are an official couple, and I hardly see them all spending this much time together without forming a bond, be it platonic or polycule. I mean, have you seen the sexual tension between Mikumo and Kaname ??? (also with Freyja) And Reina/Makina are overly affectionate over the other members so yeah !  I think Mirage would panic so hard because she wouldn’t understand how you can love two persons at the same time, so she focuses on Hayate but it’s impossible for her to not like Freyja I believe in the Mirage/Freyja/Hayate couple, probably even a polycule open because as said before, it’s impossible to not love Freyja and Hayate and Mirage want the best for her (they have to convince her they are okay with that, and that it means they also can see other people if they want, but the rule is always to say it beforehand and communicate well) I’m sure Hayate and Mirage had a crush on Messer at a moment I just wanna write about the end of the war, how it affected people but also the healing (the fact that Freyja alone just with ‘I love you’ was able to free people makes it even more proof that she loves more than one person, even just platonic)  Wanna write about Freyja’s childhood bc it was kinda glossed over, and her “power” bc she has ooooone i’m sure I just wanna infodump so hard and write but I know that if start now, will not sleep at all or do nothing good hehe

Damn that movie ending - I was not expecting Hayate to commit that hard and stay on Windemere. But given his character background it does make a lot of sense that he would want to settle down instead of being an absent parent. Guess I just got used to my macross endings being more open ended and nebulous.

Def overall enjoyed the movie's streamlining of ideas compared to the tv show. and the fact that the Immelmann dance actually feels like a thing (still get the feeling the tv show was too quickly retooled from the rumored school setting which prob had more places to showcase that sort of gimmick, and it took until the movie for them to figure out how to fit it back in)
