Okay so Robotech is a whole post unto itself, but basically Harmony Gold took the 1982 anime Super Dimension Fortress Macross and dubbed it for English speaking audiences as Robotech. They changed some names and plot points a little but the “first season” of Robotech uses footage exclusively from that show and that’s what I grew up on. If the PS2 game you played was Battlecry this is the series you’re familiar with. Also Battlecry was a fucking amazing game. ♥︎

Macross is a great series and I personally prefer it over Gundam. If you can find the original SDF Macross on the seven seas I highly recommend starting with it:

All the Macross series are coming to Disney+ this year except SDF Macross (because Harmony Gold are dicks) and I have several I can recommend and only a few I would advise staying away from.

They’re interconnected in universe but span different time periods and regions of space so there isn’t anything that you couldn’t watch in a vacuum or be required to watch in any specific order (unless you care about recognizing callbacks and Easter eggs).

I know I keep sounding like a broken record but I love how as soon as I stopped posting half naked pictures I felt like people stopped engaging with me as much and now I have memes and text posts and things that are getting reblogged by people I used to be mutuals with who no longer follow me so I have solid proof of who left me behind.

I just think it’s shallow and feel the need to comment on it. I’m so much more than a pretty face and I always was.
