A few moments [with much paper shuffling and bag raiding] later...

Jean stood back to admire her handiwork. The flyers were all spread evenly, the red letters shining ever so slightly in the powerful starlight, and the Poké Puff cases sitting open and ready, the puffs set facing towards the s’mores fire, with a small sign placed beside them reading, “Please take one!” “I think that’ll do it! I hope they’ll be interested in attending...” Absently taking an orange Poké Puff for herself, she turned from the kiosk, and tugged the strap of her shoulder bag back over her head and neck, fiddling with it for a moment as it snagged on her collar. Finally settling it back along her flank with a soft huff, she straightened up again, and, after casting one last look at the kiosk, padded away towards the fire, swiping her tongue around her muzzle to remove any lingering frosting, and looking forward to a few s’mores herself..

Flyer: The residents and facilitators of Cherrywood Sanctuary are excited to announce that this fall, the Sanctuary will be holding a Festival celebrating the end of Summer, the last harvest of the Orchard located on the Sanctuary grounds, and the Seven Year Anniversary of the Sanctuary’s opening! 

There will be several activities, including various carnival games, free spa access, and an evening scavenger hunt! Furthermore, in the spirit of the festival, all fees for our currently adoptable residents will be waived, in the hopes of finding them new homes! This will be the perfect time to meet, and get to know, our wonderful residents. 

We hope you will join us in our celebration, and that we will see you quite soon! [Date to be determined!]

Just as a quick addition: This post is technically supposed to take place before all the attendees start to leave, so everyone gets a chance to see them, if that makes sense, haha;;

There will be more information on the event after the plot post and giveaway have been addressed!

Cayden @ Hawk: You know for an umbreon, you've been guarding more in the day, wouldn't umbreons be better in the night? You're also quite handsome mister.

Hawk: However, until recently, I was training my brother to be a guard, which required being awake during the day. I’ll be working back toward my preferred shift now.

Ruby @ Venetia: "Gardening you say? Since summer is starting, does it means they are special summer plants? And pardon me to ask, but do you accept to teach visitors how to garden? My field is way too boring, and flowers are always good"

“And over there are the camellias, which are looking really good this year!

“We have a lot of crops and flowers for the summer. Food, herbs, medicine, and more…“Since I’m in charge of the gardens, I do a lot of training for those just getting started. I’d be happy to help you, too!”

Hawk knows a lot of science-y stuff, especially regarding plants, and his idea of a good bonding time would probably be teaching others about that stuff.

He was enthusiastic to teach Eon about various poisons, thinking the information might be useful for when she acquires her poison gem...and it’s generally important to know what not to eat, too.

Did they treat you in a special way because you were not their blood-born kin? Or perhaps, did anyone in the Forest feel differently towards you because of your good fortune in finding a home with the Royal family?"

“Once I settled in, I had a fairly normal life, even if I was cared for by the royal family. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.”

Well, tell me, how could the guard possibly prevent another one if someone decided to, I don't know, assemble an army of fire types and raze the forest?" A small chuckle escaped his from his lips, a threatening glare in his eyes.

“Do you really think we never would have thought of such an obvious plan? For an old arcanine, you are a fool.“We are the guardians of Xerneas and the Forest. An intelligent army of strong and talented pokemon whom have dedicated their lives to this cause.

“We have eyes in the sky, in the water, on the ground, in the trees. We would know a threat long before it got here, and we would eliminate it immediately. If someone in our vicinity so much as thought of causing a disturbance in our vicinity, one of us would know, especially those most in tune with auras.“Do you think you’re clever? Or amusing? Our mission is no game. Knowing that a fire may have happened in the past has only made us more vigilant and aware. Nothing can get past us.”
