~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Techno and Skeppy bet on stupid things, and sometimes their bets can have very severe consequence if lost.
If you want to, look at what Minetra’s desing of Techno tattoo
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tw! Betting, swearing. Btw, this is very long
<---Previous part - Next part --->
Enjoy~
It was quite hard to keep such a big tattoo hidden from everyone, that was probably the only regret Techno had, but apart from that, he was actually quite enjoying his “rushed” decision.
It had passed enough time that he could carry his bag on both shoulders and didn’t have to put bandages anymore, just moisturizing cream and avoiding the sun.
Apart from some curious stares from Tommy, everyone else didn’t suspect anything… well, that was what he hoped.
He was expecting Skeppy to laugh at him for getting a floral themed tattoo, but on the contrary, Skeppy loved it very much. He was also the only one that knew about Techno’s tattoo, so he felt special when Techno changed next to him or took off his hoodie to reveal it, it felt like one of those pinky promises girls made with their BFF's. There was no denying that Skeppy was a bit clingy and overprotective with Techno, so it really felt special.
But of course, to keep that secret a secret, Techno had to get some habits to avoid showing his elbow and shoulders:
Taking off his hoodie if he had a t-shirt was a bad idea, so if it was a little warmer he had to deal with the heat, nothing too bad. Before and after P.E., he had to change in the bathroom stalls, sneakingly taking his clothes and changing without any teacher noticing, it wasn’t hard.
T-shirts were a no-go, but it was autumn, he would have thought about how to deal with the heat when the situation arose. The only time he wore t-shirts was as a PJ, but he made sure to wear it once in his room right before jumping into bed.
The few time he slipped up and was about to get caught were pretty stupid: One time Wilbur walked in the bathroom while Techno was having a shower, good thing he was on his phone though, so he walked in, gave Techno a minor heart attack, brushed his teeth while checking socials and walked out.
Another time was during P.E. he was so concentrated on dodgeball he didn’t realize that he had rolled up his sleeves, he didn’t notice it for about thirty minutes or so until Skeppy walked up to him, softly smacked him and pointed at his arms, good thing everyone else was also pretty concentrated and there was too much pressure and adrenaline to notice a small hint of ink on his arm.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a pretty chill morning, the alarms didn’t go off yet but Tommy was already awake.
After taking his time in the bathroom, enjoying the fact that for once he wasn’t crushed by his brothers rushing to get out before they were too late. He almost went to have breakfast but stopped, noticing that Techno’s room wasn’t locked.
Techno had always had this habit to lock his room’s door before going to bed, yes, Phil allowed him to do so only because all of the door’s keys were the same.
The young Pandel couldn’t stop thinking about how Techno’s left shoulder looked a little bit puffier, it had returned to normal recently but Tommy couldn’t help but worry about his brother: He knew by experience that it looked awfully familiar to a bandage, did Techno get hurt? Did someone beat him up? If someone had dared beat him up he was going to-
His mind was too offuscated by worry and anger to think straight, so he carefully entered Techno’s room, he was a pretty heavy sleeper so the chances of waking him up were slim, but he still approached him carefully.
He was laying on his stomach, sheets unpinned from the mattress and his small crown pillow and pig plushie were at each side of his head.
He walked up to the right side of the bed to notice something coming out of his sleeve all the way to his elbow. In the darkness he couldn’t see what it was, but the small strays of light coming from the blinds made it look like… Ink?
Tommy shook his head and took out his phone to use the flashlight, there was no way Techno had gotten a tattoo, Phil would have never allowed it, plus he didn’t tell them about it so-
His eyes widened in shock as he covered his mouth to avoid screaming, it took all of his will power to not drop the phone.
T-Techno had a tattoo? HIS nerdy brother Techno had a tattoo?!
He shined the light on his elbow again to see better the simple floral design contrasting on Techno’s pale skin. He lightly pinched and moved the hem of the sleeve to find that the tattoo kept going.
He gulped in anticipation and grabbed the collar of his t-shirt to reveal his shoulder.
Tommy emitted a small noise after dropping to the ground and pushing himself all the way to the wall behind him.
What the fuck?
He quickly turned off the light and placed his hands on his ears, but instead of blocking out noises, he wanted to keep his thoughts away.
What was happening? Why did Techno get a tattoo without asking and without telling?!
Tommy’s head started spinning, he needed fresh air.
After bolting out of Techno’s room and opening the window in his room, taking long, deep breaths, he decided he couldn’t keep this for himself, if Phil found out Techno was going to be in huge trouble:
He had to speak with Wilbur.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tommy
Wilbur meet me in the cafeteria at
lunch, usual table.
Wooly
Wtf do you want gremlin?
Tommy
I’m serious Will, meet. me.
there.
Wooly
Fine, but listen to your
lecture. Gremlin child.
Rolling his eyes, he placed the phone in his pocket, how was he supposed to focus on the class when Techno could potentially be in big trouble?
Yes, he was mad that Techno had gotten a tattoo without asking and he had gotten one before he did, but he couldn’t let him get in trouble with Phil just because he was jealous.
As soon as the bell rang and the class ended, he b-lined to the cafeteria, grabbing his lunch and sitting at the table he and Wilbur usually met at.
While waiting impatiently, out of the corner of his eyes he noticed Techno sitting alone, reading a book while listening to music.
Wilbur sat down in front of him, “What do you want” Tommy took a deep breath, placing his elbows on the table and allowing his forehead to lean on his intertwined hands, he started speaking.
“Techno betrayed us, Wilbur” the brown-haired boy bent his head to one side, “and he could potentially be in big trouble, big I tell you” Wilbur shot a glance at Dream who was approaching Techno’s table, sitting next to him and taking one of his earbuds and placing it in his ear, Techno didn’t seem to mind.
He now also placed his elbows on the table and intertwined his fingers in a reflecting pose, “Elaborate”.
Tommy took another deep breath and started explaining to Wilbur what he knew. From his suspicion of the puffier shoulder, to the thought that it could have been a bandage, to him seeing the tattoo this morning.
Wilbur’s eyes widened, going back between Techno and Tommy, “T-there is no way Techno did such a thing Tommy, don’t be childish he tried to regain his composure, “W-Will I’m not lying! You have to trust me it’s true!”
Wilbur didn’t want to believe Tommy, but he felt that what he was saying was true.
“There is only one way to find out” He got on his feet and walked to Techno’s direction, Tommy doing the same.
“Hello Dream, hello brother” He greeted the two boys, both too concentrated in their books to notice the world around them.
“I need to talk to you Techno, mind if I take him for a few minutes?” Techno leaned his head to one side, when Wilbur called him brother it was never a good sign.
“Oh sure, we weren’t doing anything either way.” he gave Techno the left earbud back and greeted him as he left with his two brothers. They looked awfully serious, hopefully, Techno wasn’t in any trouble.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Take your hoodie off”
“No”
They had locked themselves into one of the supply closets, the smell of pavement cleaner and bleach filled their nostrils every time they inhaled.
“Why not Technoblade?” Wilbur had a very serious expression on his face, Tommy wasn’t talking, too scared to interrupt any psychological trick he was probably pulling on his brother.
“Why should I?” The older brother exhaled audibly, “You don’t have a choice Techno. Take. your. hoodie. off.”
Was this the end?
Techno took his red hoodie off, revealing a dark grey shirt with a white print spelling “Whatever” with three dots.
“Where is it Tommy” He looked back at the young blonde boy almost hiding behind him, “l-left arm” he stuttered, Wilbur looked back at Techno and looked at him right in the eyes.
“You either pull up your left sleeve, or I pull up your left sleeve” Wilbur didn’t like to be this threatening, but he knew that if he wasn’t, Techno was just going to ignore him.
This was the end
Looking down at the floor, Techno sighed and slowly pulled his sleeve up to his elbow, he couldn’t look at his brother’s reaction, but he could feel their gaze of disappointment, shock and betrayal on his skin.
“Why did you get a tattoo Technoblade?! Are you mad?” “I didn’t have a choice Wilbur” “What kind of excuse is that?! Of course you had a choice! Why did you not ask first” “Phil wouldn’t have agreed-” “There is a GOOD FUCKING REASON WHY HE WOUNDN’T HAVE AGREED!!!” Wilbur slammed his fist on the metallic locker, making a harsh noise that made everyone jump.
Silence fell between the brothers, none of them was able to look at each other. Tommy was expecting Wilbur to get angry, but not this angry.
The sound of the bell announcing the return to class, made Wilbur straighten his back, “I will tell Phil about this when he comes back, I’m sorry to give him this news after a tiring day of work, but we will talk about this more after dinner.” He unlocked the door as Techno put his hoodie back on, “After school, you’re coming back straight home, even if I struggle to trust you right now Technoblade, I trust you to do as I said.” Wilbur nodded at Tommy to follow him out, leaving Techno to grab his backpack and leave after them. He wasn’t hoping it would go like this.
After sitting down in his class, he took his phone out and texted the only person he could think of right now.
Technoblade
If I die tonight, you get my
potato farm.
Nerd
Why lol
Nerd
Don’t tell me Phil found out
about the tattoo
Technoblade
He will when Wilbur tells
him
Nerd
OH SHIT
Nerd
I’ll pray for you to come
back alive tomorrow at
school
Technoblade
You’re not helping me
Skeppy
The professor entered the classroom and started his lecture, Techno left his phone in the pocket of his hoodie for almost thirty minutes. He was about to place it back in his backpack as he glanced at the notification coming from Skeppy:
New message from Nerd
This is also my fault, sorry dude, I’ll help you
tomorrow with anything I can
Techno smiled and slipped the phone in his backpack, Skeppy was chaotic, but when he wanted, he could be very thoughtful and nice.
elder + nettle w/ paul?
Elder - compassion  Nettle - cruelty    from these prompts
Idk about this but I thought it was sweet! You didn’t specify what you wanted so I just defaulted to fluff, I hope that’s alright!
Paul McCartney x Reader - Blooms In The Winter
Word Count: Under 900
Warnings: DEPICTIONS OF ABUSE. Do not read this if that is a trigger for you. Sweet, sad fluff.
Tumblr media
It was springtime when you met him. The snow was just starting to melt off the branches of the cherry trees. You were new to Liverpool - you’d relocated with your parents a few days ago, and you were trying to fit in as well as possible. It was your first day at your new school, and the other kids were not so welcoming. You could hear them whispering about you; a few of the boys tugged on your plaits, which your mother had done so meticulously. You spent hours picking out your outfit, but you could hear the other girls snickering at your hand-me-down clothes and tattered Mary Jane shoes.
You sat alone on the swingset, a book in your hands, reading quietly to yourself. You’d taken up reading as a hobby long ago - you loved stories about far-off lands, princesses and dragons, and magic…
“What’re you reading?” You looked over the top of your book to find a boy with big, hazel eyes staring at you.
“Um… A book.” You answer timidly. You were prone to sarcasm when nervous.
“Duh. What’s your name?” He asks, taking a seat on the swing next to you. He was the first person to talk to you all day, rather than just speaking at you. It was refreshing.
“I’m (Y/N). What’s yours?” You declare, marking the page you left off at and closing your book.
“Paul. You’re new, right?” He starts to rock back and forth in the swing. School had just let out, and you could tell that he was itching to get home. You, however, were not. It was always the same drill: get home, do your schoolwork, eat supper. But you always managed to do something wrong, and you weren’t ready to start today.
“Yeah. Don’t really have friends here, yet.” You confess, tucking your hands into your coat sleeves. It was a brisk April afternoon, and though the sun cut through the clouds and warmed part of the schoolyard, it was still chilly in the shade.
“I’ll be your friend, (Y/N)! Hey, why don’t you ask your mum if you can come for dinner? You can tell me about that book you’re reading!” He smiles; a toothy, genuine grin. You wanted to say yes.
“I… Can’t. I gotta go.” You want to explain, but you can’t find the words.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, (Y/N)!” He calls after you, that smile still on his face.
The next day, you came to class with a big, purple bruise on your arm. You’d dropped your plate at dinner, shattering the ceramic all over the floor. Your father had been drunk, like always, insisting that you needed to be punished. And he had punished you, in his own cruel way.
Paul had been stealing glances at you across the classroom, earning a smack across the knuckles from the teacher’s ruler - but he didn’t stop. It was like he had some kind of telepathy with you. He knew you were hurting. He came up to you after class, concerned.
“You alright, (Y/N)? You look sad…” He asks, and you couldn’t answer.
Many years later, life was still the same. You were teenagers now, and still shared that same bond, although it was a little different now. He was no longer the innocent child he once was, and neither were you. He knew what went on at home: he’d seen the angry red weals on your arms, the painful marks interlaced by cigarette burns. You danced a fine line with him, wanting to tell him everything and wanting to keep him safe from your pain at the same time. You didn’t want him to hurt as you had. But he did. It broke his heart.
“(Y/N), I know what he does to you.” He says, pulling back your sleeve. You both wince as he exposes the fresh marks. He drew blood this time, whipping you numb with his belt for no reason other than he felt like it.
“I’m not gonna let it happen anymore. I can’t…” He tugs you gently into a hug, full of sorrow and feeling. You hear him sniffle and pull back just enough to see the tears brim in his eyes - those perfect, big hazel eyes that only ever met yours with kindness.
“I love you, (Y/N). I can’t bear to see you hurt.” He breathes into your hair. It hurt you, deep in your soul, to see him upset. Is this love? You wondered. Is this how love feels?
“I love you too, Paul.” You decided yes, it was. And you knew you’d never hurt again.
the somewhat comprehensive history of niya reynaud silverbow
          I keep meaning to actually write out Niya’s book-by-book bio, but I haven’t gotten around to it until now. Canon characters are a part of this, but of course, if we write you’re totally not obligated to follow these plots, this is just Niya’s default & might come up in backstory w/ other muses!
pre-tmi --
          Niya Reynaud grew up in the Shadow World as a mundane with the Sight. There was always speculation around who her father was, but if her mother knew, she wasn’t telling. As long as Niya could remember, she’d lived with her mother, Talia, in a tiny apartment above Madame Bones’ House of Voodoo. As soon as she was old enough to walk she was helping out in the shop with customers of both the mundane and Downworlder varieties. High Warlock of New Orleans, Madame Bones (or “Auntie” as those closest prefer to call her), was an ancient warlock so old her name has been lost to history, and some say even herself. The night of a full moon, Talia was making a last minute delivery in the French Quarter, when she was attacked by a werewolf. Madame Bones brought her home and helped her through her first change. After that, nothing in Niya’s life would ever be the same. Though she’d skimmed the surface of the Shadow World her whole life, having a werewolf parent meant she was thrown headfirst into the chaos. Over five years, she found herself befriending members of the New Orleans pack and the New Orleans vampire clan, warlocks young and old, and occasionally she bumped into Shadowhunters from the local Institute, but they tended to keep to themselves.          Several years later, a werewolf, baring a suspicious similarity to the wolf who’d turned Talia, appears in NYC, attacking and killing several mundanes. The Lightwoods track him across the country to New Orleans, where the werewolf is determined to finish what he started: Opening the Gates of Guinee, and releasing the forces of hell on the mundane world. With the help of the Lightwoods, Niya manages to summon a Loa, protector of Guinee, Maman Brigitte, and convince her to lock the gates. Brigitte agrees, but leaves Niya with a cryptic riddle regarding her own heritage, and a warning: “The gates will open, sooner than you may think. They were always meant to. The boy who wields their power will be a greater threat to this world than anything you’ve ever known. You say you want to protect this world? When the time comes, and you will know, you must answer the call.”
tmi --
           In the year leading up to the Mortal War, Niya keeps in touch with her new Shadowhunter friends. Her family, particularly Auntie Bones, is against the idea of her fraternizing with nephilim. But luckily, a certain warlock in Brooklyn loves his exotic purchases, and Niya is constantly being portaled to the city in order to deliver them. No one could fault her if she stayed a bit longer than necessary. Niya becomes close with the Lightwoods, Mayrse even goes so far as to say that she’d be a good candidate for Ascension, supposing the Mortal Cup ever resurfaced. Though only a mundane, Niya didn’t have to work hard to fit in, she knew way more than average about the Downworld thanks to Madame Bones’ extensive library on the subject, and she wasn’t half bad in a fight. But, more than that, she was good at parties and ever better at charming overbearing parents. Anything to bring a little fun into the stuffy Shadowhunter world.           That all changed when the Mortal War began and Madame Bones banned Niya from leaving New Orleans. Though far removed from the action, the city still felt the repercussions. Tensions were high as locals worried that they would be next. They were the unofficial capital of the Downworld, what if the Circle’s poison spread? The head of the New Orleans Institute, Mariah Rosewain, did her best to dispel these notions. Her family had always been in support of more integration between the Shadowhunters and the Downworld, but her out spoken opinion only drew more attention to the city, and when Sebastian Morganstern began his own crusade, the New Orleans Institute was among the first to be attacked. Niya spent most of this time relegated to working the back room of the voodoo shop, and for a long time she would resent that her family hadn’t let her do more to help. When the Dark War ended, and the Clave sent word that they were looking for new recruits, Niya realized this was what Maman Brigitte had prepared her for, and she decided to join the new class at the Academy.
tfsa --
          The Academy was both everything and nothing like Niya expected. The Shadowhunter-born students were just like every other nephilim she’d met: arrogant, annoying, and occasionally ignorant. But what she hadn’t planned for, was how much she actually liked being there. For once she could fight without someone constantly standing over her shoulder, worrying about her, and she was damn good at it. The first year went by in a blur of bland meals and grueling training sessions. But before the semester came to a close, Talia Reynaud sent a cryptic postcard to the New York Institute baring only a photo of New Orleans’ St. Louis Cathedral and the message, “It’s time she knows the truth.” So Niya was greeted with a Lightwood and a warlock in her dorm room, pulling her through a portal to the city, with hardly a word of explanation. The local Shadowhunters kept a cache of weapons in the loft of the cathedral, but they weren’t the only things hiding there. Niya discovered a letter, that when opened blasted her into a memory of the past.           Lady Mirah of the Seelie Court was known for throwing the most extravagant Mardi Gras balls in New Orleans, and Talia Reynaud had gone to her fair share when she was younger. It was at one of these parties she met a handsome stranger, who wore a masquerade mask that covered one of his eyes. It was love at first sight. Only, Talia had a firm rule against falling in love with Shadowhunters, and the faint scars covering his body proved that he was one. Though he tried to explain, he hadn’t been a Shadowhunter in a very long time, Talia refused to listen. She was so upset she didn’t even noticed his mis-matched eyes, one bright blue and one black. It was for the best, Thomas knew he would have to return to the Wild Hunt in the morning. Months later, he returned to New Orleans, hoping to find Talia. And he did, but he also found a baby girl. Knowing it was too dangerous for him to stay, Thomas left New Orleans forever, but he left behind a letter and his favorite adamas carved bow.            When Niya was finally released from the memory and the faerie magic that put her there, she found the signature at the bottom of the letter, “Your father, Thomas Lightwood.” According to the family tree, he was a descendant of Eugenia, and part of a branch that had been lost to history. It wasn’t hard to see why, Shadowhunters had never been very accommodating to their own who chose to intermingle with Downworlders. So Niya returned to the Academy and floated through the rest of the semester, unsure what to do with this information. It made sense now, her aptitude for weapons and her innate ability to fight. But she couldn’t tell anyone, not with the Cold Peace. She’d heard rumors about how that played out for the Blackthorns. So she pretended she was a mundane, that she was normal. Until summer break came, and a group of vampires decided to stage a coup against Carmen’s reign. Niya found herself tangled in the middle, and it didn’t end well for her. Her only options were to use an amisso rune (with the stele she’d stolen from Jon Cartwright), or be turned. She went for the former, resigning herself to a brutal Louisiana summer wearing long sleeves.           Niya was determined to keep her secret. Though of course her mother and Auntie Bones already knew, so did Carmen and Michelle who’d been there when she used her rune, not to mention the Lightwoods of course, and Magnus. The only people Niya found she was any good at lying to, were her friends at the Academy. Then the day came when Helen Blackthorn was put on display, and Niya realized just what the stakes were for her. If the Clave was willing to do this to someone who’d been raised one of their own, what would they do to a half-breed who’d been raised by Downworlders? So she told her closest friends at the Academy, some of which didn’t take the lies very well. A few days later, on a routine mission, Simon fell through a portal into Faerie, and without thinking twice, Niya dived in after him. She was hit with a feeling she hadn’t felt since her father’s magic had trapped her in his memory. The power that could only be felt by being close to someone who shared your blood. A certain Unseelie Prince, younger brother to Thomas’ father. And someone who wasn’t necessarily thrilled to discover he had another Shadowhunter relative. But Kieran helped her find her way back to the mundane world, where she did her best to repair things with the friends she’d alienated with months of lies. Including George, who she’d always hoped would be her parabatai once they Ascended, but of course, for one of them, that day would never come.           Niya drank from the Mortal Cup, playing the part of a mundane Ascending, and when asked if she would choose a new name, she briefly considered her father’s, but that would raise too many questions. So instead she looked to the adamas bow that she’d taken as her own weapon, and decided, “Silverbow.”
tda --
          After graduation, Niya was assigned to the San Fransisco Institute, where she was given a roommate: the insufferable Annalissa Youngblood, youngest child of the Youngblood family that ran the institute. To say Niya was unamused with being handed a babysitter at least six years her junior would be an understatement. But she suffered through it, and she did her part, even though she felt like she was missing something. She’d forgotten how to fight without someone by her side. Even though she’d never really had a parabatai, she still felt the loss as if she had. She distanced herself from the Youngbloods, venturing further out, taking missions in partner with the Seattle Institute and occasionally the Los Angles Institute. It was on a mission to the latter, she crossed paths with Kieran again. There would be no cheerful family reunion here, instead just another warning: “The Unseelie King knows you exist, and he won’t let half-breeds taint his bloodline.” The King was the reason Thomas had been taken from his Shadowhunter family and given to the Hunt, and Niya was not eager to find out what he did with his female descendants. So she stuck with the Blackthorns, they needed her help more than the Youngbloods did anyway.           That path eventually led her to the Scholomance, where she intended to craft a plot to kill the King before he could kill her. But there, training with Centurions and Kieran, she gained back the confidence she’d once had in her own abilities, and realized that she wanted more than just survival, Niya Silverbow wanted to be a Centurion. Even if it meant telling the Clave she had faerie blood, even if it meant that she might lose everything, she had to try. Talia Reynaud didn’t raise a quitter.
