"I think I want to be a gryffindor. Like my mum and dad."

Marlene grinned up at Dorcas, "sound, kid."

"Yeah, yeah", Dorcas huffed, a small smile spreading across their face.

Hari stared up at the train before turning back around, "I still think this is stupid."

Dorcas nodded, "Completely stupid."

"Undoubtedly", Marlene agreed, "I mean having to travel away from the castle just to get a train back up to scotland?"

"Pointless", Hari scowled.

The train whistled, and Hari grabbed his suitcase from Dorcas.

"Remember the rules, Hari?"

He nodded, counting them on his fingers, "Do my homework, call Professor McGonagall 'Minnie', make good friends, find a rival in an opposing house, and annoy Professor Snape as much as possible."

Marlene snorted, "Well done, kid", she passed him his new owl in her cage.

"Have fun, yeah?" Dorcas said, crouching down slightly.

Hari nodded, beaming grin on his face, and held up his right arm, allowing a small green snake to slither from under his sleeve, it's tongue hissing at Dorcas' cheek.

Dorcas brought him into a hug, then he moved to Marlene, tighly hugging her as well.

"See you for Christmas, kid."

Hari turned, owl cage balancing on top of his suitcase, and snake hidden back under his sleeve, he made his way onto the train.

Marlene grabbed her wheel handles, turning to leave the station, "I think I'm gonna miss him."

Dorcas laughed, "You're surprised you're going to miss the kid we've been looking after for ten years, are you?"

"Oh, shut up", Marlene grinned.
