I’m honestly pretty surprised because this was supposed to just be a goofy little blog where I put nonsense stuff that maybe a few people would see and then move on.  Even the tagging system I use is because I didn’t care about the blog being easy to find.  However, unlike Fëanor, I don’t mind finding myself with more followers than I planned for.

Thank you all so much for being here, I hope I’m not disappointing anyone in any way, and to those of you who have been here since the beginning, thanks for your patience.

I’m hoping to do something big-ish for a proper celebration and thank you, but I didn’t really plan ahead much so it might be a while before I’m able to get something pulled together.  In the meantime, here’s a Third Age Finrod.

Sylvari Subspecies

I have made a few sylvari subspecies. They're the easiest race to make them for after all. Made another one just now for another new sylvari character too. I wanted to talk about them a bit and opening this up for discussion if people want to talk about sylvari subspecies in general. Feel free to ask me about my guys too if you're curious!

Asuvari

My first subspecies. I wanted to combine asura and sylvari as at one point I liked the two a whole lot. The idea I came up with was to have them be a species of sylvari that come from a different tree. Instead of being based on the appearance of humans, their appearance is based on asura.

The tree sprouted several asuvari, siblings that decided to stick together while they explore Tyria. One among them is a mesmer so they often use illusions to appear as regular asura.

Amphibious/Semi-Aquatic Sylvari

Still unsure what to call them but I only got the one so far.

Otto comes from a tree that is half-submerged in water. He has horns made out of coral and a big tail and wing fins for swimming. The sylvari from this tree would resemble aquatic, amphibious/semi-aquatic (Idk is there a difference?) creatures, as well as plants.

Vampiric/Parasitic Sylvari

Another one that only has one sylvari so far, Malycoris. The sylvari from this tree need blood to live. They're generally a bit stronger than normal sylvari and some even have wings like Malycoris. They all have sharp fangs for piercing flesh.

been drawing a sorta reference thingy for Salesman Barry in the timeloop au i've been rotating around in my brain for a while recently :] it isn't as much a character design reference as it is more of a reference for how Barry's mental state begins to deteriorate as he starts having intense deja vu and nightmares every time his timeline gets reset upon death and he tries to piece together what is going on out of pure desperation and instincts (he is being experimented on and doesn't know it yet). i want to throw him at a wall (affectionate)

i like how barton went from being like... a hippie in terms of how he viewed sex in his early twenties, then kind of abstained from it for a few years / became sexually repressed, which... definitely isn't such a good thing. BUT then he became even more of a freak (and i do mean that in the good way this time LOL) around the time he started residency because WOW is that shit stressful. though that was also unfortunately around the time when he really started to spiral as well 😬 but we don't need to talk about that ahahhh

like the way this man learned how to express his sexuality REALLY came full circle in the end considering he was like 'yeah, back in the early days that i was in college, i was a freak. but now i'm not anymore... though do you want to see me do it again anyway?' like 💀 JSJSJ if he weren't so demented, i'd almost be inclined to say good for him, y'all LMAO feeling comfortable with your sexuality and perhaps even having a bit of fun with it (though maybe too much in barton's case, because he literally weaponizes it in order to lure in his victims. BUT once again, we don't need to talk about that right now psshhh. i actually fully intend on talking about that in the tags NGL) is more often than not a good thing after all

my personal headcanon abt fierrochase/beatrice: magnus was just oblivious abt his emotions towards alex, and now that he is aware he starts flirting w/ alex and they are both fully aware they are making everyone around them suffer and the two of them do not care- (like, both alex & magnus can make each other flustered- it's just partly why magnus was so easily flustered is pure and utter confusion and obliviousness but he does not stay that way)

this is rlly funny bc it is Not how alex & magnus behave in homes- they are both extremely private but also have known each other intimately for much longer (anywhere from 4-6yrs) and were best friends that were slowly moving into dating b4 alex just disappears off the face of the earth-
