It’s his tenth day here—and all he’s known for the past week or so is orange dusty skies and utter boredom.

One of the attendants had told him about the observation deck when he was wandering around aimlessly earlier—where you could get the best view of Mars in the entirety of the empire. It’d interested him—curious to see what a different planet looks like undisturbed, entirely in its natural state. Besides, it’s not like he has anything better to do until he can warp right out of here, heading back to the familiarity of Earth—so he takes them up on the offer, making his way to the tower on the east end of the palace.

But what Seb doesn’t expect to find is someone there already—back turned to him as he gazes at the Martian landscape below him, his white robes flowing behind him like they did that very fateful day, like a flower blossoming in the safety of a desert oasis.

The Exalted.

This is less than ideal—being stuck here with the sole ruler of one of the most influential planets in the solar system, in a one-on one-situation—and he tries to creep out the way he came, silently edging towards the door. Sightseeing can come another day—maybe when he’s not the only person in the room with the Exalted.

Of course, fate wills it otherwise—because before he can even get a foot through the door, something clatters to his left—drawing attention to his position. He scrambles, hoping it wasn’t heard—but it’s only a wishful thought, considering the Exalted’s alertness now.

“Oh,” he says, gracefully turning around to face him—eyes full of nothing but tepid curiosity. “It’s you.”

Shit. He’s definitely busted.

I also wonder about when he discovered he couldn’t read anymore, was he nonplussed? Disappointed? Didn’t realize it happened? How’d his brother figure it out and would they go about teaching him again?

I actually have a few scenarios in the works now and some mini comic ideas too, Just gotta finish them :]

The reading thing is actually an interesting point. To be honest it wasn't something I initial thought to hard about but now that you brought it up. Here are some thoughts I had on it.

(Also sorry this kinda long I got a bit carried away woops)

not being able to read does come as a shock to JD when he first realizes, It takes him a bit to come to terms with it and when he does realize its a "Shit, I really am a failure." kind of mentality.

Since he was just out in the wilderness reading and writing wasn't something he need to do, it was all about survival for him so something so simple as that never crossed his mind as a skill he could lose.

Not being able to sing/talk just sort of sprouted from when he turned grey and fully integrated himself to being alone, Truly alone. Just being by himself he never had a reason to speak, so eventual the years added up and he just couldn't figure out how to speak.

So I always figured Clay would be the first one to figure out that JD can't read. For some context JD has been away from any type of society for several years if not a whole decade at this point. just by himself out in the wilderness wander around from place to place. So loneness has set in hard and he hasn't had a conversation with someone since being on his own.

JD tends to approach his brothers when their on there own or hanging out with each other. He tends to avoid large crowds and sticks to the outskirts of pop village unless there is immediate danger within the village. They had a spider incident a week ago but JD dealt with that real quick. The village still has pretty mixed options on allowing him to stay but considering the brothers haven't even been able to get JD to come inside branch's bunker yet. It's not something the they have really considered or cared about yet.

Also for Clay figuring out JD cant read it would probably go something like this...

Being in a book club Clay can often be found reading books around pop village. So when its a beautiful sunny day. He decides that it's the perfect time to catchup on his latest book. That quickly becomes wishful thinking however when he feels the brush of fur against his arm. He's surprised to see John Dory crouched next to him head tilted leaning into his personal space. Just sort of staring at his book with a curious look on his face. He's not interacted this close to JD yet on his own, usually he only makes an appearance if Floyd or Branch are around. So being on his own with John so close makes him pretty nervous. Especially since previous interacts between the two of them haven't been the best. John may or may not have tried to attack him and Bruce at their first interaction. It was quite a shock to all the brothers when they discovered that not only Floyd but also John Dory had been kidnapped by the pop star wannabes. If Clay's being honest he didn't believe Floyd when he first told them that John Dory was still trapped some where in the dressing rooms. It didn't make any sense to him. Why would they keep leave John backstage for their big performance. Unless they had already sucked him dry of his talent. What they actually discovered Clay could have never seen coming. Their brother, their oldest brother was practically unrecognizable, In both behavior and colour. He still thinks about when they found him in that room huddled in the corner. The terrify snarl that came from him when they tried to get close. Heck. he didn't even know a troll could make such a noise. So what was he doing here with him now?

"Uh . . . hi?" Clay asked curiously his voice wavering slightly.

He could see John's ear tilt towards him so he must have heard him and was at least listening. Hopefully.

"what uh . . . what brings you here today?"

A low deep rumbled sounded out from John's throat has he lifted his hand nearest to the book and brought it closer to himself. Eyes flickering across the page. To Clay it looked as if he was trying to read the pages so without a word he tilted the book more towards JD and waited. Just watching him. As seconds turned into minutes he could feel the frustration growing inside his brother, from the way his brows knitted together, to the way he kept getting closer to the book. Like if he looked harder, tried harder it would all make sense. That was when it clicked.

He cant read. Clay thought.

He can barely talk, if grumbling even counts as talking. Can't read and chances are he cant write anymore ether.

With a scoff John shoves the book away from himself slides down from the rock to sit on the grassy earth below.

Clay felt odd. He wasn't sure what he was feeling. Pity? Hurt? No that wasn't quite right. Emptiness? A sense of loss? A mix of everything he guessed.

He never really considered how John must be feel. That it must be . . . frustrating. Not just being alone for so long that he unconsciously forgot things that always seemed so, basic. Normal to everyone. That writing and singing songs came so natural to all of them. That the once self-proclaimed leader of Brozone couldn't even read his own lyrics anymore. He could never imagine not being able to read again. Being left unable to communicate even the simplest of things, but here John was. Going through all that. Practically alone. Clay frowned well he stared down at his once proud brother and then a flicker of hope flashed through his eyes.

". . ."

"Do you want to read again?"

His ear perked up at that and his head quickly flipped back to Clay. An unreadable look in his eyes.

"I could teach you, to read, write, to talk again?"

He see the thoughts swirling through his eyes, the hope, that became to spark but that quickly disappeared as he sank back down towards the grass. I look of sadness crossing over his face as he began to fiddle with his claws.

"Do you not want to learn how to read again?" Clay aske bewilders

John huffed and stared at him with an unamused face

"well why then?"

John glanced to the side and gestured in way "carry on" sort of way.

"I don't understand."

John gave him a deadpan stare and flung his head to the side letting out a deep sigh.

Clay was thoroughly confused. what was he missing, what wasn't ne understanding. This was his brother, his older, former bossy, arrogant, obsessed older brother. So Clay wanted to try something. Something he had done in years.

"What, are you still to cocky to let your little brother teach you a thing or two?"

He huffed again, but this time it sounded more like a light chuckle followed by a quick eyeroll and after a few seconds John stared at him, one eyebrow raised like he was saying "are you serious right now?"

"So your telling me you'd rather sit on grass and feel sorry for yourself rather then spend time with your younger brother?"

Oh ya, That hit a nerve. If there was one thing John cared about it was his family, Family was apart of him and it always had been. His greatness strength and weakness. Something Clay figured out real quick when they were younger trollings. John must have felt as offended as he looked because next thing clay new he had already stood up and hoped right back up on the rock beside him.

"Same old Dory"

To which John responded by giving his brothers shoulder a shove and jerked his head towards the book down in Clay's hands.

"okay okay, will start with the basics . . ."

Don't know how in character this is for Clay but I tried guys. So yeah that's my thoughts so hopefully this makes sense.

Also if any Fanfic people out there stumble across this and start thinking they want to give try at writing some stuff for the Feral boi please do I would LOVE to read it. Like tag me please so I can read it and draw it.

Brozone diner au: the day John Dory took off part one

this au does not belong to me, it belongs to @bzjohndory its gonna have to be multiple parts bc i write too much apparently

Business was slow, it was a hard winter and most trolls didn't leave their pods unless they had to. Bruce was the one to suggest it, knowing his brother hadn't had a day off in seven years. They all had special days that they got off like birthdays or anniversaries, except for John Dory. He didn't take days off, he worked open to close seven days a week. Bruce brought it up with others, knowing he wouldn't get anywhere without back up from their younger brothers. Bruce talked with Clay in between orders on the line. “I'm just saying, we haven't been that busy these past few weeks so I think he can just take a day off at least. We're all responsible enough to take care of the diner while he's gone.” Bruce said as he pulled some fries out of the fryer, portioning them on a plate and passing it to Clay. “Yeah but how do you plan on making him? We've tried making him before and he literally spent the entire day in the diner, working on other stuff ." Clay wondered as he finished plating a couple burgers, putting them in the window to be ran. At that moment, Floyd came into the back and leaned against the wall. “You good Flo?" Clay asked as he worked on the next order. Floyd nodded and held up a thumbs up but they noticed how his hand shook. Bruce threw some fries on a plate and slid a milk crate over to Floyd. “Sit down and have a snack. And while you're back here I wanna talk to you about something." Bruce said, handing the plate of fries to Floyd as he sat on the milk crate. Floyd nodded and started eating the fries while still leaning with his back against the wall. After a few moments of no orders coming in, Bruce crouched down next to Floyd. “Feel better?" Bruce asked while rubbing his back. “Yeah, I skipped breakfast this morning so I started to get the shakes." Floyd chuckled, placing the empty plate on the floor. Clay grabbed some dirty dishes they had on the line and grabbed the plate for the floor, taking them to the dish room. “So before you go back up there, I wanna talk to you about this thought I had. Clay thinks I won't be able to do it. I won't be able to do it by myself, I'll need all of your guys' help." Bruce said nonchalantly, watching for JD to be walking around. “What's up? I'm sure I can help somehow." Floyd said as he pulled his money out of the pocket on his apron. “I wanna get JD to take a day off. He hasn't taken a day off since he got ownership of the diner. If he had his way, we'd still be open on Christmas, and he would totally run this entire place by himself if he had to. He deserves it, he's kept this place afloat, put each of us through college and is here every goddamn day. This isn't gonna be like the last time, he's not gonna be allowed back in here until the next day.” Bruce said, looking Floyd in the eyes telling that he is completely serious about this. Clay came back in with clean dishes and began setting them up on the line. “I think he's crazy if he thinks he's going to get John to do it. He practically lives here, I don't think I've actually seen his place.” Clay said, placing plates in their proper spots. "Yeah but if we work together, I'm sure John will listen to us. You guys don't see him on the floor as much as I do. He's constantly moving, like if he stops, he'll pass out. Sometimes he shakes too. And Bruce is right, he's more than earned a day off, heck a week, we'll be lucky if we get one day.” Floyd said as he sorted his money, putting it back into his book. "I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it or need it. I'm saying that we might have to actually tie him down to get him out of here. He's not going to like the idea.” Clay said, cleaning up their prep area.  "What are you guys talking about?” Branch said through the server window. Bruce stood up and motioned for Branch to come back there. Branch walked back onto the grill line, confused.

Here's some hippie Remus x scientist Sirius for the sake of my mental health

"I think I gave your security guard a heart attack earlier. Fenwick, was it?" Remus said calmly, his arm around Sirius and his fingers raking gently through Sirius' hair as they sat on the sofa.

"Who, Benjy? Yeah, probably." Sirius answered with a laugh, missing Remus' slight frown, a crease forming in between his eyebrows.

"Are you the only one who calls him Benjy?" He asked, mild curiosity laced in his voice, but Sirius could read Remus like a book, he could feel the slight hostility in his tone. He had picked up on something that Sirius hadn't.

"Uh, I think so? He asked me to. How come?"

"Just wondering." He hummed casually, Sirius resting his head on Remus' shoulder.

The next morning, he was just getting his stuff together when Remus walked over to him. He offered him a smile, shoving a book into his bag.

"Hey, want me to drop you off at work today?" Remus asked.

"Always do." He agreed immediately.

"Great. Lily's got some new crystals in, I'll pick something up for you."

"Thanks, darling." Sirius had a feeling that he was going to end up wearing some sort of crystal jewellery to work. Remus had been hinting at it for a while, and Sirius couldn't say no to him. Ever.

Still, he wasn't going to complain when it meant he had Remus on the commute to the lab. He drove in a comfortable silence, walking him into the building and glancing quickly at Benjy.

"See you later, love." With that, he kissed him. Not just some quick goodbye, like he usually would. It was the type of kiss that Sirius could just trip and fall into, almost couldn't help himself. He felt Remus' hand slide up the side of his neck to rest on his cheek, the other snaking around his waist, and Sirius vaguely remembered that Benjy was there and watching, they had an audience, but he really couldn't bring himself to care, Remus drew all of his focus, his attention, and he barely even had to try to get it. It was his, always had been.

Eventually, after what definitely wasn't long enough for Sirius but was probably much too long for Benjy, he pulled away, smiling at an insanely dazed Sirius.

"Bye." Remus said, turning and leaving.

"Bye." Sirius said back softly, before turning and trying to offer Benjy a smile, to get his own brain back after it had promptly short circuited. "Hi, Benjy."

"Hello." Benjy wasn't quite meeting his eyes, as Sirius walked past, trying to make sure he was actually going to be able to work, without his mind being on Remus all day.

Well, more than normal, anyway.

DASH GAME: BEHIND THE MUN

NAME: Havu.

PRONOUNS: They/them.

MOST ACTIVE MUSES: On this blog, Iris, Cas, Izzy, Will and Hannibal are being the loudest gremlins. Also the Doctor, mostly Thirteen, and Fifteen very much trying but I am sooo intimidated by the thought of starting to write him (me whenever I write a regeneration of the Doctor I haven't written previously).

EXPERIENCE: I started roleplaying privately with friends when MSN Messenger was a thing, in my teens, in the mid-late 2000s. We migrated to private phpbb forums with some friends for one-on-one platforms for more organisation than private messages. I transitioned to tumblr in 2013 when I found out the independent rpc here (I was on tumblr in a generic way since 2010). I pitched an idea for a Doctor Who OC to someone on anon to see if they would be interested in writing with her, I didn't know how the rpc functioned, etc. And then I made a blog for her. That was Iris, by the way, if you can believe that.

From 2013 to 2017 I wrote various OCs and Doctor Who canon muses, namely an AU version of Rose Tyler for a while, and then mainly the Eleventh Doctor for several years (my url was legsyes and later snogboxed but the latter was 2018). I was so unwell I was nearly psychotic around 2015-2017 and I was on the wrong meds etc. so I took a long hiatus of over a year from 2017 to 2018.

A huge part of my recovery process was coming back to the rpc with Cas in june 2018 (waywardfeathered). He was my primary muse for a long time, but I also came up with Jillian around that same time, and had some other muses in their own blogs, so in 2019 I consolidated everyone that wasn't Cas on a multimuse, on this blog (I think it was Jillian, Eleven, Charlie, River and the TARDIS, maybe Thirteen, and I've since retired Eleven). Now you know I recently moved Cas and Thirteen here from their respective blogs, and I still have Shepard on her own blog @dutyworn and I changed my url here from smokedanced to lanternlit.

FLUFF, ANGST, OR SMUT: Angst, smut, and fluff. I love multi-genre interactions, a little bit of all flavours in different threads between the same muses. Fluff is the only one of these I need to balance with something else to enjoy it a lot. I can write angst and smut without craving for something else for contrast.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: Both. I vastly dislike focusing on reply length as any sort of an indicator of how good someone is at roleplaying; it makes sense for length to vary. Are you setting a scene with lots of exposition? Are the characters having rapid fire dialogue? The former easily suits novella replies and the latter easily suits a single paragraph. I like dynamic threads where the response length feels natural considering the scene.

PET PEEVES: Relating to the previous one, my ultimate prose related pet peeve is when replies become like... two or even more threads in one thread? Consider:

Muse A asks Muse B, "How have you been?" Thread proceeds to have plot happening, and Muse A's internal thoughts regarding it.

Now Muse B's writer is stuck in a situation where, if they have their muse react to the dialogue before the following events, they are splitting the thread into two timelines, if Muse A's writer wants to be able to have their muse react in any way. This makes incredibly awkward writing flow where you are basically writing two interactions in one thread. I think people do this because they want to write longer replies but it becomes so unnatural and difficult to work with. I've been guilty of this as well. I always try very hard to consolidate a thread into a singular interaction, but sometimes that means I am forced to have my muse react to stuff only internally, or answer to questions delayed, etc. and it can be difficult to justify. And this is so difficult to explain it's hard to bring up with people if it happens because I don't even know what words to use to describe it - I drew a diagram to a friend once XD

Less of a pet peeve, more of a "I am going to block you", but any kind of rhetoric that even HINTS AT judging other people based on what kind of (no matter how problematic) content they enjoy in fiction.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE: For the most part, I am very different from all of my muses. I think it's because I would make a very boring fictional character, so there simply aren't ones much like myself; I'm very passive, unadventurous, etc. and I have no issue with that, I would rather be safe and comfortable than "an interesting fictional character" LOL. There are some, mostly minor, things, that I can relate to with most if not all of my muses, but these are usually either small quirks or life circumstances, not values or personality defining traits. For example: I relate to Castiel and him having been heavily controlled by other people, in having been controlled/abused by people who had authority over me, myself. I relate to feeling like I am existing as an outsider looking, like Iris (being isolated from society, for her for totally different reasons, for me due to disability) and tbqh many of my other muses. I am aromantic and pansexual, so I relate to Dean being demiromantic and bisexual. I am easily startled, and so is Lucius, so I relate to him in that. And such.

TIME TO WRITE: I don't have a set time that's easier than others, but in general (i say as i type this at 3:39am) my ability to function decreases exponentially if I am not maintaining a sleep schedule. The biggest reason for me going radio silent for weeks is "I couldn't sleep for 1 night and now I'm sleeping during the day and this has made me like 9000 times more disabled than usual".

I try to respond to as many as I can! Sometimes I run out of words to say (communication has never been my strong suit) but I read every single one and they always make me smile.

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

This is the most I have ever projected my personal experience onto a fic. I was going through a breakup at the time and not handling it very well, and writing a breakup fic really helped me cope with it at the time.

I'm doing much better now, and my ex and I are on good terms. Even though the ending to the fic itself was angsty, I'd like to imagine that the characters are doing better now as well.

What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Most of my fics tend to have happy endings, but if I had to pick the most satisfying happy ending it would be lover, please stay.

Most of this fic is pretty angsty, but the ending makes it all worth it I think!

Do you get hate on fics?

Thankfully I haven't received any nasty comments. I did receive a kind of weird comment once, but I completely forget what it even was.

Do you write smut?

I never did before I got into the shameless fandom, and then I kind of went crazy with it after that.

Craziest crossover:

I've never written a crossover before. It's not something I've ever considered or even know if I would want to do.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Many times with my ex, back when we were still dating. It was a lot of fun and definitely something I'd like to try again in the future! I've always enjoyed collaborating with other people.

Favorite ship I've written for? Tarlos. Favorite ship I've never written for? Tiva, aka Tony and Ziva from ncis. I also love Densi (Deeks and Kensi) from ncis la.

What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I have not written a chaptered fic in years and it is something I would really like to do. I have several ideas including a detective au that I've floated between two separate fandoms, but I still haven't been able to make any progress regarding those wips.

What are your writing strengths?

Angst and introspection! I love getting into a character's head and psychoanalyzing them (I am a psych student, after all 😂) and I also love writing sad shit. I'm a sucker for pain, it seems.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Transitions. We all know them, we all loathe them.

Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

If it makes sense for the situation/characters, of course! I wouldn't go overboard with it though, since I don't actually speak any other languages myself.

First fandom you wrote in:

Minecraft youtube, but like the old school kind. Around 2014-2015ish. And I physically wrote everything down in little journals. Fanfic was only something that existed in my head at the time until I discovered the likes of ff.net.

Favorite fic you've written:

My most recent fic always becomes my favorite, and that holds true today too!

My push coda, my baby, our love will guide us home.

This is something I'm incredibly proud of, and it's also my longest fic to date and something I wasn't sure I would ever be able to finish. I'm still kind of in disbelief that it's finally real.

hellloooo!!! i was a big fan of your fics from i think over a year ago (?) now and then my life got busy and i couldnt keep up w your newer fics :( i just wanted to say reading mh and eventually with sooo many consecutive chapters has been an absolute delight, not only is it a brilliant read with such fantastic ideas (you bet ive caught up on as much jasper lore as i can find under the tags) but youre such a consistent writer i was shocked to see the times between the chapters postings!! how do you do it? my writing style changes per MINUTE im very impressed!!!! this is so cool!!!

ps. i was wondering if you ever plan to write more oneshots about hunter in the canon universe (ish, ykwim!!), or if youve moved on now to your own aus?? no complaints either way i LOVEEE all your toh work, but your vee & hunter fics DO hold a special place in my toh-based heart and i was wondering if there'd ever be more?

I think one of my strengths is that I'm good at changing styles, both at writing and art! It's obviously a lot more noticeable in art, so I've gotten lots of comments from people who are used to seeing one style from me really surprised to see me do stuff that looks totally differently. I think I'm pretty good at it in writing, too! I've got lots of fics written totally differently and I hope they're all good. I think my second person work is my best though, teehee.

I've been jasperbrained for awhile but I DO actually have a ton of ideas I've scribbled in my notes for non jasper fanfics in my notes, even if I haven't written them. AND I've actually got a vee and hunter fic I've got outlined that I've been rotating in my head recently that I just need to sit down and DO but I totally do intend to. I think it's gonna be a really good one. It's about like, how and why vee is able and willing to forgive him even though he killed one of the other basilisks, how she could not only forgive him but live and trust him as a beloved brother. Cuz it's something I have a lot of feelings about, like, vee, who she is, how she thinks, her reasoning and her feelings. And I really wanna share them!!!!

I don't know if I'm really gonna post lots of non au toh fics again like I was... I have a tendency to go through cycles. ADHD brain. So like six months, a year, I will do One Thing and absolutely nothing else. Like I will be writing fanfic obsessively or I'll be animating 12 hours a day and nothing else or I will do nothing but original content or nothing but a fandom. And unfortunately I do not control the brain fjejfjfn rip. So I cannot predict if my brain will decide I'm allowed to again or not! But whatever the brain says I can do I hope is good and will be enjoyed by someone, but also I totally understand when it's like "welp. That is definitely not something I'm here for" lol. I am always swinging around between stuff.

boring stuff out of the way at the top: i want to clarify that when i talk about the future poly au with adam/nate/alina i don't mean it in a "it's an 'au' or a headcanon because it's not an option in canon, but if it was i would take it" kind of way. the future poly au is really firmly an au in my mind, and when i envision alina's future post-book 7 it's with a romantic relationship with nate and a platonic relationship with adam. i'm also not likely to ever write it (especially the how-they-get-together part), since i think doing it justice would require something far more expansive than i'm really prepared to tackle, so it mostly just exists in the form of little posts and jokes to myself here and there.

all that being said!

i'm going to start by talking about alina and adam's platonic relationship, which is part of their "canon" future relationship (the point of divergence between their "canon" futures and the future poly au is after alina becomes a vampire, so there's 10+ (ish, please don't ask me how old alina is when she becomes a vampire) years of relationship to expand upon first). their platonic relationship is the foundation of their relationship in the future poly au (and the future poly au actually originated when i was trying to understand their friendship better! i was thinking about how they felt about each other as they got closer and where that could go and then said "wait a minute!!" and the future poly au was born 🥰).

so to start: alina hates adam's guts in book 1. she really does not have a good word to say about him. for someone who generally tries to be a team player and collaborator as much as alina does, it says a lot that she takes just about every opportunity she can to fight with adam. over time (through working with him and through deliberate effort to get along with the guy she likes's best friend), her relationship with him starts to improve. in book 2, alina and adam mostly treat each other with begrudging (professional) respect and tolerance.

book 3 is where major shifts start happening. it's at this point that they start to really see each other differently. to bring up something i've said about their relationship before:

over the course of book 2 and into book 3 they developed this slow, learned respect for each other [...] these 2 people who are very different in their approaches to the world around them and their work who learn to appreciate and even rely on those very differences (adam's stubbornness becoming steadfastness, alina's naivety becoming compassion).

in book 1, alina saw adam as stubborn, callous, and generally unpleasant to be around. by book 3, she's able to appreciate the qualities that she had dismissed before: adam is persistent, direct, and precise. similarly, in book 1, adam thought alina was naive, irresponsibly optimistic, and unworldly. by book 3, he views her as compassionate, hopeful, and curious. he is steady and reliable, and she is loyal and kind, and in each other they find someone who they can always count on to show up for them (even if they disagree and argue the entire time). over the course of books 4-7 (i say, knowing that these books haven't been released yet and so i don't really know how their relationship will develop during those books), their friendship only grows stronger.

(by book 4, alina's starting to realize that adam is kind of actually her friend instead of just her work friend/her boyfriend's best friend. when he shows up to fetch nate in the first chapter of the demo, she's frustrated and annoyed that her day off with nate was ruined, but she's not frustrated or annoyed with adam. she's actually kind of amused by him being there and the way he tries to rush nate out, as it's so quintessentially him.)

not to talk about my own wips, BUT: the excerpt of the alina turning fic i shared the other day kind of displays how their friendship has grown over the years. there's familiarity and a kind of quiet ease to the way they interact with and understand each other. it says a lot about their friendship that alina goes to adam to complain and to seek reassurance when she's nervous.

(and, to go on about my own wips a bit longer: it's not explicit in this excerpt, and i don't think i explicitly state it anywhere else in the fic, but alina very specifically does not want to talk to nate about this problem. she doesn't talk to nate, or farah (her best friend), or morgan, or her mother. she specifically chooses to confide in adam because she knows that he will offer her the kind of support she wants in that moment. that line about how alina takes a big drink and then says nate is off with the kids? while what she says is true (he is with the kids and they have gone over things together already), that is alina buying herself time to come up with an excuse as to why she's talking to her friend and not her husband about her feelings.)

so after all those years, adam and alina have had the time to go from hating to respecting to appreciating to genuinely liking each other. only now do they have the unshakable foundation of their friendship off of which we can build the future poly au.

i view the future poly au as having multiple moving parts. the first part is adam/nate. in this au, adam and nate are kind of in love and have been for a while. for centuries, their relationship has been toeing the ambiguous line between romantic and platonic and is defined by a depth of devotion and understanding that only comes from lifetimes worth of companionship. crucially: they are not aware they are in love with each other. put a pin in this for later.

the second moving part is adam/alina. both adam and alina quietly (and secretly) have this moment that i described the last time i talked about the future poly au:

it would definitely be a slow creep of feelings for both of them [...], with a realization one day that you look at this person you know so well and the feelings you have for them haven't been solely platonic for a while. their love would be born out of a deep mutual appreciation and respect.

they both respond to this revelation (that they have feelings for their best friend's wife/their husband's best friend) by promptly deciding to try and distance themselves from each other and let the feelings go away without ever addressing it (which i described here, in what might be one of the first posts i ever made about the future poly au).

for alina, she's trying to avoid the realization that she has feelings for someone who isn't nate and, while she would never deliberately be unfaithful to him, she struggles with this attraction to adam even as she is determined to never act on it. i mean, she's been married to nate for 10+ years and they have 3-5 children (please don't ask me how many children alina and nate have. or their names. or their ages) and she's a vampire so they've been planning on living out the rest of their forevers together and suddenly she has feelings for the worst possible person she could ever have feelings for. she tries to manage keeping her distance from adam and hoping the feelings will die on their own without letting anyone (nate, adam, or farah) know that anything is going on with her.

for adam, i had to consider both how he acts on the lt route (or what i understand he acts like on the lt route - i've never actually played it) and how he acts on his own route. my understanding of a on the lt route is that (despite the fact that nate and the detective could be in a relationship, depending on player choices), adam is more expressive about his feelings for the detective than he is on his own route, where he constantly tries to push away the detective and deter them from pursuing a relationship with him. in the context of the future poly au, however, i think adam would behave more like he does on his own route than he does in the lt: in the lt route, even if the detective and nate are together, it's a (relatively) new relationship. it could still be ended (if it's even been started) and adam could, conceivably, end up with the detective. in the future poly au, nate and alina have been married for 10+ years and have 3-5 children. the ship has sailed on "getting with alina" (alina has already chosen and firmly committed to nate) and the betrayal of trying to steal his best friend's wife of over a decade is (arguably) much worse than trying to steal his girlfriend of a (few? by the end of book 7? who knows when you will have to choose in the lt) year(s).

the third part is how these feelings get revealed. on one hand, (based on my understanding of the lt) nate would eventually figure out on his own that something is going on between adam and alina. however, (also based on my understanding of the lt) nate seems pretty willing to deliberately ignore the signs he's seeing because he does not want to read them. what i think is actually more likely is that alina, upon finding out that her feelings for adam are not simply disappearing like she wants them to, would eventually confess to nate that she's been developing feelings for adam. she would not be pitching this as a "so maybe we should all date" thing. she would approach the conversation as a "i love you and would never be unfaithful to you, i don't know why i'm having these feelings for adam and i've tried to make them go away, what do we do about this problem in our marriage" thing.

the fourth part is how they bring adam into all this. the first option is that they go to adam together to try and talk about the situation. this will go poorly. there is no way on this earth that adam is going to admit to both of them that he has feelings for alina and risk interfering with their marriage. he will not be the reason that milton looks up at him with big brown eyes and asks "uncle adam? why don't mom and dad love each other anymore?". not happening.

the other option is that alina's confession prompts a brief awkward period in their marriage wherein alina feels guilty and nate tries to deal with this revelation and meanwhile realizes that, hey wait. he might be in love with adam too. in this version, nate and alina would talk for quite a while first about what they want to do about the situation they find themselves in. because they're both in love with adam, but does adam feel the same way? would they want to pursue something with adam? would adam want something with them? how do they maintain their friendships with adam if they bring up being together and he doesn't want to, or if they don't bring it up and just know that this is something between them? how do they make sure their marriage remains intact throughout all of this, and how do they minimize any (potential) fallout for their children (who all love adam and have known him their entire lives - adam is even milton's godfather!). they would ask all these questions and then (because this is the future poly au and not the future almost-poly au) decide to talk to adam.

if i can be honest, i have no idea how they convince adam to admit his own feelings for alina, or realize and then admit his feelings for nate, or then after that agree to be in a relationship with them both. i haven't gotten that far yet. i have to assume it involves a lot of initial denial, yearning, private conversations between nate and alina about how to handle the situation, and more yearning.

eventually they all kiss. and then everyone's happy forever and ever.

Can I just say, it's so lovely to get all these questions! ✨ I love this so much, thank you! 💝

First: I'm ok! Work is always stressful these days, I don't think it's going to give me a break until at least September. 😂 But it's not the worst right now. Tomorrow is my birthday and I just the best piece of chocolate cake humanity has to offer, so I'm cool right now. 😇 Just wish tomorrow wasn't Monday. 🥲

Second: I have read 7 books this year so far, but nothing that's stood out as being great, sadly. :( Still haven't had a 5 stars. I finished a thriller called None of This is True by Lisa Jewell which was pretty good, if you're into thrillers. 4 stars, maybe.

In terms of fanfiction, I've have been reading random pieces of non-Kc fic, as per usual 😂 But I have also read The Little Wolf by @morningstargirl666, which is absolutely fantastic, if you haven't read it yet. It's a retelling of the show's canon about the Original family and how they were turned into vampires, with special focus on Klaus' werewolf heritage, and it's so, so, so good! And so much better than canon! It actually gives depth to the siblings' relationships, and it has so many little nods to what we know of them in the future. Beautifully woven! I have also read Till I Tasted You by @kirythestitchwitch, which is a canon divergent AU where a spell goes wrong and Caroline ends up finding out Klaus is her soulmate. It's hot, it has absolutely nom-nom-able dialogues and A+++ interactions between KC, it features Damon getting his ass kicked! I don't know, it's just the whole package. 🤌

Third: This would be a very weird question if I hadn't spent an irrational amount of time thinking about that. 😂 I guess it really depends on what kind of universe you mean, because it varies. But I would very much like to have telekinesis like Prue in Charmed.

Fourth: That's a tough one. I'm an extremely critical person of my own writing, so it's hard for me to feel proud of stuff I've done tbh. 😂 But I think I was pretty proud when I finished The Wolf 2. It's not my personal favorite thing I've ever written, but I think it's probably my best written story. I really like the final part of that story, the way I managed to tie it back to TVD, I think it was very full circle and made the story a lot more unique. I also had a lot of fun writing the Mikaelsons and Caroline back in Mystic Falls after the time they spent in Nola. 😂 So maybe that.

Final: It's... going. 🥲 I took a pause after writing two chapters back to back, tried to work on some other stuff, and then I circled back to it. I've actually just started the next chapter, have a couple of scenes. I don't think this first chapter will be a long one, but I think it will take a lot of editing tbh. 😂 I haven't been at most inspired right now, so not sure how much of what I've written will stand the test of a re-read. I had plans to get a chapter out before the end of the month, but I'm not sure I'll manage it. 🥲 We'll see how this week goes. Pray for me.

Wings of Fire (kind of) au I was thinking of setting this around the time the 1st series is happening and lots of political changes are happening. I'm not sure where to start explaining so Skywings Grian is banished (!) from the skywings for defying the monarchy False is a skywing guard Tango is a skywing and in my heart he should have flamescales but he only gets them on the full moon (even during the day) Cleo is a skywing/seawing hybrid kept in the gladiator arena, and escapes in the Great Prison Escape (work with me here) Nightwings Pearl is a nightwing who was freed from the arena shortly after Grian left Xisuma is heavily scarred (in my notes it says from fights(??)), and escapes the volcano island onto the mainland Evil Xisuma is an albino nightwing who is a merchant in the scorpion den Sandwings Impulse is a sandwing Wels is also a sandwing Mudwings Ren is a mudwing Iskall is a mudwing/rainwing hybrid, and lost an eye in a fight (in my notes Iskall is exiled??) Keralis is probably a mudwing. back me up here pls Scar is a mudwing/rainwing hybrid but was raised in icewing territory. he lived on the outskirts in an outpost close to the border of sandwing territory, and was used as a training dragonet for soldiers out there. Cub eventually helped him escape, and he adopts the name Scar. During his time at the icewing outpost his scales were light greens and browns near white, but his form, tail, horns, and lack of serrated claws gave away his true nature. As he lives alone, he regains color (except for the scars) and becomes more brown with green, almost like oxidized copper accents. season 8 cough cough Icewings Cub is an icewing who is shipped out to the worst outpost after getting sorted there (fandom wiki got me there). he helps Scar escape and shortly after decides nah i don't wanna be here and gtfo's Etho is an icewing who gets taken prisoner after a skirmish on the border between his team and some sandwings goes poorly. he's sold into the gladiator arena where he befriends Cleo, but both lose each other in the escaping chaos. He runs to the rainwings territory, narrowly avoiding skywings, and meets Bdubs. hehe Rainwings Bdubs is a rainwing whos scales are usually moss greens and dark greens like shadows. It's giving glare. He travels to the edges of the territory and is interested in communication between different tribes and cultures. He also builds for the rainwings, and has popularized coffee beans. Joe Hills is a rainwing. Their coat is often many different colors, and writes poetry for other dragons Doc is a rainwing who experiments heavily with minerals from caves, a tinkerer of sorts. He lost his eye, but it doesn't hinder his work. He is reluctant to work with any dragons, but is still somewhat social Silkwings Mumbo Jumbo was blown off course from a raft he built and has lived in the skywing territory in the caves for many years. Despite many attempts, he has never been able to get back to the other continent. He meets Grian, and when Grian is banished he lives with Mumbo for some time. I missed quite a few folks because i don't feel qualified to give them dragon types. And.. that's all I've got so far, for the most part. I do have like some very minor stuff written, like Scar grows up with Icewings Polarfang and Vindictive, mostly because I needed stand ins. Originally the alliances would be season 8, but I think they could move somewhere. Look, I just draw dragon and they look cool. I did not think this out much. I also imagine Etho has to run and not fly because of the wing cuffs we see in the books, but I thought an updated muzzle looked a bit more menacing. I just feel like having a toothless scene were bdubs stumbles across pure carnage and then a sparkling white dragon is a fun setup. You see my vision. Anyway thanks for reading these rambles. Life Stuff

So I’ve been struggling with motivation and time lately, between college finals and a sharp decline in my mental health. I know I made it sound like everything was going great in the last update, and it was, but then it wasn't, and then it was again.. and the back and forth has just been exhausting, not to mention time-consuming.

I was supposed to have a little surprise sneak peek for you all on Monday, but when I went into my planning document to retrieve the scene I had written for a future chapter, it was gone. When I checked the revision history of the document, all the versions from last month to December 2022 are missing---nearly a year's worth. It seems like all the edits within that year's time have been lost. Thankfully, I had all the basic planning for the story done before that year of edits that got deleted, but I still lost all of my newer edits. I'm still so perplexed about how this could have happened, and it's causing me a lot of distress, especially because at this point I'm not even sure exactly what I've lost. The whole point of that document was so that I could write down an idea and then forget about it until I needed it again to clear up space in my head for new ideas.

It's also finals week, so I have that going for me, too. I'm not planning on having time for any work on TPWCH until after my last final of December 6th.

Poll Details

Even then, I've been having problems with motivation lately. Winter break should be a good rest for me, but I still worry about how much I'll be able to write. The other day, I got an idea for a Squidmas special. While in the TPWCH universe, it would take us to different time periods, allowing us to finally meet all of the prequel and sequel characters I've been teasing (including Three's old friend group and Tsuku's friend group). It would essentially be set in the future but with an extended flashback to Three's childhood. And we get to see Three and Eight as parents! (And maybe even some others?) 👀 I'm so excited to share these new characters with you, and that excitement might just be the extra little push I need to get myself motivated again.

Or, with all the extra time I have, I should be able to stop procrastinating and finally get a good start of Chapter #22-Part2. Ultimately, I'm going to make my own decision on whether to write the Squidmas special or not, but I'd still like to hear your input!

I also haven't forgotten about other promises I've made having to do with TPWCH--like more development of the Dark Three AU, the 300-kudos bonus, the Part 3 cover, etc. Just working slowly. Thank you as always for your patience and understanding!

also idk what like his powers are. Magical Girl is just a category of its own, right? I'm between a girl outfit and a prince outfit (like one in a fic I read) tho.

yes that's right I'm creating a new plot of Magical Girl (I think) and there's gonna be BETRAYAL.

it's not the Death Note btw it like teaches him Black Magic and Ryuk tries to convince him to come over to the Dark Side and stuff

oh maybe Misa and Matsuda can also be Magical Girls. I haven't really thought about the other characters.

anyways from here we have two choices: he's just evil and they fight and stuff or

Light CORRUPTION ARC and we return to a more typical Magical Girl plot by having L save him from the corruption of the Evil Black Magic and stuff.

Light gets an evil throne in the anime checkboard dimension

also I think Light's Magical Girl costume should become increasingly black during this arc and when L asks why he's like. "I spilled a pen on it."

it's important to note that in Show Form we see Light's POV as this happens but if I were to write a fic (which. so sad! I don't think I'll be able to) it would only follow L's POV -- one would only have hints of what was going on with Light up until the Big Reveal

maybe a flashback then? I like a big villain monologue though while L sits there thinking "damn! my one friend!"

but yeah speaking of turning this to prose... still working on my last big fic project, so not gonna happen on my own. It'd be cool to work together with someone on it but if you want to do something with this idea just make sure to send it to/tag me! (& credit, but only as much as I have here that's original -- I'm kinda hoping if I search there's already a fic of Magical Girl L because it seems like an easy idea to have lol)

oh update-edit: had the wild messed-up idea that after Light turns to the Dark Side once, L and the gang pull the most effed up move that would never be in a Magical Girl show, and erase his memory.

Can I Take Your Last Name was my first attempt at humor and I had a ton of fun writing it.

The Cadence of Leaves was my first multi-chapter fic and even though I haven’t posted in a while, I’m on track to finish it!

What is your writing process? How do you approach a fic or original work? (e.g. Are you a Pantser? Plotter? Do you focus on dialogue before description? etc.)

Pantser, now there's a great term! I would have to say that I am definitely more of a pantser but occasionally will try to plot. Most of the time I just write as things come and hope it all flows well. 😅A lot of my ideas come from music. I usually can imagine a scene in my head during a song and then that scene grows (if I'm lucky). Original works have been hard as I have a tendency to want to over-explain things and feel like I can't get the characters back stories across well enough. That's one of the reasons I love fan fiction, those reading already know the characters so I can just dive right into the story.

What was your first story and why did you finally decide to write?

Ooo this is hard. My first ever story was one about cats I think. It was in 1st or 2nd grade. I've had random other stories since then. My first Miraculous fic was titled "Affinity" and I first posted it on Amino. It's one I would like to rewrite (and finish) at some point, but I have a few other projects to finish first. I have always loved to write and as stated in answer 1, I struggle with over-explaining my characters. I fell in love with Miraculous and then found out there was this entire community of writers and realized I had found my version of heaven. That was in 2018 and since then writing for the fandom has been one of my most relaxing hobbies.

Where is your favorite place/time/conditions to write?

This one is easy, mostly. I can honestly write just about anywhere - so long as I don't have other responsibilities to attend to in the moment. I prefer to have music playing, usually it's songs that have inspired my current work, but I can write without it as well. So long as the ideas are flowing, I'm able to write!

What is your favorite pairing, platonic or romantic, and why?

Fandom specific would be the love square. I honestly can't really say why, I just know I adore them. I think a part of it is because I see bits of myself in each character, both in cannon and fanon. I also love the dynamic between Alya and Marinette. Alya reminds me of my best friend of 25 years in so many ways and I find I end up writing from personal experience with them. In terms of anything other than my own writing, I enjoy a variety of parings and ships and enjoy seeing how other creators bring them to life. (Not fandom specific I have a few parings that I'd consider an OTP, but that would make this answer way too long. 🤣)

Do you have any thematic elements you’re interested in or that consistently show up in your writing?

To be honest, I haven't thought much about themes in my writing. I suppose my main theme is cutesy love stories, friends being there for each other. Stuff like that. I'd love to get good at writing adventure or humor, but I'm not sure I'm there yet. I do have a WIP that is an adventure story. The prompt is a Goonies/National Treasure AU I was given in the MWG for December's event. I'm struggling with it, but I also enjoy the challenge. One of my favorite tropes is friends to lovers and I feel like I use that in every story I've posted so far.

How do you deal with writer's block?

Music. Just about everything comes back to music for me. Sometimes I get disheartened if I'm stuck but I've found that listening to music, be it a new song, band or old favorite always sparks something creative.

What do you do if you have too many ideas?

I feel as though that's a normal state of living for me. 😅At any given moment some idea for something is floating around in my mind. (Along with a constant radio of song.) If one idea really sparks an interest I will hyper fixate on it, otherwise they live in my head, rent free. Truthfully, I should be noting them down somewhere...

You said that Fervor Lullaby (which is adorable) was fun and easy to write because it "just flowed." How long did writing the one shot take in that flow tate, and have you ever been able to get back into it for any other pieces?

Thank you! 🥺 Fervor Lullaby took about 3 hours in total to write. I saw the prompt and the ideas just kept coming. Ironically this story didn't have a song to spark it though I found a very fitting one to go with it once it was done. Sadly, I haven't been able to get back that fast of a flow since then and IRL stuff has limited my writing time significantly over the last 6-ish months. I hope to get back into writing more now that things have slowed down a bit. Seeing other creators is always inspiring and I am grateful for the Miraculous community!

Small(?) update on the Du'met!Erin au.

ok, so it's been what? a month since TDiM community chose the Du'met and Erin role/character swap AU and the bad news is: No, I haven't started writing it yet(disappointing I know and I am so sorry I have never written anything before so I will be slow with it :') BUUUT I do have some information about it! the brain has been storming the past month!

Ok, so first of all I would like to clear up some things before people start to question it.

1(and probably the most important at least imo): With Erin and Hector being swapped I would like to clear up that Jamie and Hector are NOT LOVE INTERESTS!!!! They are BFFs instead and Jamie's room scene will be slightly different and not at all romantic(at least between Jamie and Hector). And now that I'm writing that I feel like that was probably obvious since I did put it in a JERIN fic poll but JUST IN CASE.

2: The whole Manny Sherman and Hector being in the FBI thing will be sliiiightly different. Without giving too much away, Hector was still in the FBI and worked on the Sherman case but was able to catch himself before Sherman brainwashed him basically and resigned shortly after. However~ This time he had a partner investigating the Sherman case with him and let's just say maybe taking the tapes home with you (illegally btw) and stuffing them in your attic for someone to possibly find later on wasn't a good idea...

3: Erin still has asthma. That doesn't change and it actually has plot relevance.

now, time for plot stuff

ok so basically, for plot reasons I am swapping Charlie and Jamie's placements in the story, and by that I mean, Jamie falls down the trap door instead of Charlie in the freezer and she goes through most of the stuff he goes through in the actual game and vice versa with Charlie and what Jamie goes through, and I am debating if I should do the same with Mark and Kate. There's no reason to do that really, but I think it would be fun!

I am also now realizing(not really now I have thought about it for like 2 weeks) that with position swaps also means death swaps👀👀👀👀

Also side note: I have been debating if I should do little one-shots for all of my Jerin AUs to give people a basic kind of plot or story for all of them. Obviously, I'm going to make and finish the Du'met!Erin au first before going into any of my other AUs for them. Some of them (HoA AU and Ultimatum) won't be getting one-shots since they are one-shots in and of themselves, but my other AUs(Like the 1980s murder wives, Deadpool x Spiderman, and my many(by many I mean 4 XD) werewolf AUs. Oh! And by the way, I forgot to mention that the Vampire x Werewolf AU is also an 1800s AU I know I should have included that in the poll but I completely forgot :')) That have actual storylines and plots to them that would be more than a simple one-shot. Like for the murder wives, I have an idea for a one-shot that is kind of like a prequel to the actual fic.

Please let me know if you'd like for me to make little one-shots for them first! Also sorry if this is a hard read grammar is not a very good skill of mine and I'm from the South so my English is kind of broken to begin with XD

HELLO MY BELOVED FRIEND!!!! Oh goodness you spoil me with questions XD

1. What’s something new that you tried in a fic this year? How did it turn out and would you do it again?

Well. I did a few new things this year lol. I think the biggest was posting smut for the first time. Turned out better than I thought it would, 10/10, I have been writing more of it and will continue to do so. I think the other big thing is just. Quinlan Vos. Figuring out more of where I stand with the Jedi and with the Force to be able to develop his character. I haven't given a Jedi attention like that before and it's been a lot of fun, I don't know if I'll branch out of my clone corner all that much but Quinlan will likely become a fixture in future fic <3

11. What fic was the most satisfying to finish writing?

Hmm. I am rarely happy with a fic in the first few weeks after I finish it, but in hindsight, A Long and Dreamless Sleep is the finished fic I am most pleased with from the past year. It was very satisfying to write, and it makes me smile every time I scroll past it.

16. What were you go-to writing songs?

I don't usually listen to music when I write, alas. I do have character playlists and stuff but that's more for just casual listening. If I listen to music at all it's usually without lyrics.

28. How did you recharge between fics?

i don't

I try to read more, when I'm not writing. I like to plot fics and AUs and stuff, so I do more of that when I'm not in the middle of a fic, but usually after I finish a story I read all the fic and books I was putting off reading while I was working on that story XD

30. What’s something that you want to write in 2024?

I want to. Finish the fucking. The Pregnancy Fic. This has been Haunting Me. I just want Davijaan to have a crisis and to hold a little blue baby at the end of it. Is this too much to ask??? Other than that, I want to finish where the blade twists, and then I want to get started on an original novel. Going to be working on it a class this next semester, and I hope that spurs me on enough to actually finish it.

31. LOL. If you mean commissions, I'm not ever going to do commissions for fic because it makes me... uncomfortable? Idk. Don't like the idea of being paid to write fic. However, you are always welcome to make requests <3 <3 <3

Summary:

Peter Barnes is an unorthodox omega by many standards, but like most omegas, he enjoyed the finer things in life. What he wanted, he got. It is as simple as that. The world owed him that much. Even his family was unorthodox: adopted alpha-pair parents, a beloved teacher, and his ward Miles and his girlfriend Gwen.

He had witnessed many naive souls claim to have fallen in love with him in the past, but none were more determined in this belief than Harry Osborn. They met at university, although Peter could not remember how, and that is the point because, for him, it was an insignificant moment, but for Osborn, it was the day his outlook on life changed. The man is obsessed and has been adamant about his affections ever since.

It would be flattering if not so concerning and pitiful. Luckily, Peter had everything under control. That is, until his birth parents discover him and try to force their way into his life. His father, famous surgeon Tony Stark, is particularly keen to reconnect—too keen. And in a turn of events, Peter must work together with Harry to expose the biggest predator in NYC—Norman Osborn, Harry's father and mayor of the city.

So, after a sucsessful poll, I was able to come to a decision about Harry's a/b/o dynamic, and continued writing up the first chapter which is now available to read! Thank you for waiting patiently. I didn't mean for the chapter to be 10,420 words but eh, happy reading.

I would like to credit @midnight-raven as their 'Dark IronDad & Dark SpiderSon Prompt: Prodigal Son AU' inspired me to create this fic. I will admit that I haven't seen the show, as it isn't available to me. But for the past few weeks, I have been obsessed with the interesting dynamic between Malcom and Martin (as many others are).

My fic will be an a/b/o fic (no mpreg or traditional dynamics), the main relationship will be Peter Parker/Harry Osborn, and it will have dark irondad.

Harry doesn't appear in this chapter, but he is mentioned. We meet Pepper and Tony to Peter's dismay. This chapter is the beginning of where the plot can take off in the next chapter. I won't spoil too much but Tony and Pepper's pesistence to be part of his life again will push Peter to connect with Harry.

I'm not completely happy with how this chapter came out, but its the paving stone for the good stuff to come. Parksborn, it's parksborn, haha. The start of it at least, this won't be a slow burn, but let's just say this...Peter is gonna make Harry work to have a proper chance with him. We love a character who knows what he wants and makes his man work for it, haha.
