okay so i just read ptm and i'm really liking it^^ but i wanna ask, are your OCs twisted from certain characters or you just made them up ?? i tried to guess some of them but my brain is mostly empty rn :')

Hiiiii!!! I saw you in my notifs, I almost always notice when someone makes little comments in the tags, cause it makes me really happy when people comment and talk about my fics (─‿‿─)

By now I think most people have guessed their inspirations, so I'm happy to talk more about them and explain a bit for each one! I'll go one by one and share a little fun fact!

Yev Quispe is based on Yzma from the Emperor's New Groove! A fun fact is that Yev's signature spell is called “Creature Feature”, which allows him to temporarily turn someone into an animal of his choosing, though it's limited to one person at a time and larger animals require him to use more energy than a smaller one. His uncle is the botany professor at NRC!

Timothy O'Hare, mostly goes by Timmy, is based both on the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland and Thumper from Bambi! He has 9 younger sisters and 3 older sisters, and would regularly get beat up by them if he was rude to a girl. His signature spell is “Reverse the Clock” which allows him to turn time back by a few seconds, 10 at most, however he has to wait at least 30 minutes between each use due to the massive amount of blot he accumulates from use.

James Bartholomew is based on Captain Hook, though he has no hook (yet). He was raised at sea for most of his life among much older and crass sailors, so he has a hard time talking with others. His signature spell is “Hook, Line, and Sinker” which allows him to cast a barrier that “hooks” his opponent to his vicinity, up to a 5-foot radius; if they attempt to leave they will be dragged back like a fish on a hook. The farther they try to get away, the heavier their body will get.

Wynfred Salson is based on Winifred Sanderson from Hocus Pocus, but likes to go by Winnie. He's the eldest of the triplets and is extremely protective of them. He likes foraging and making his own potions from scratch, so he joined the Mountain Lovers Club to collect his own materials. He is very socially unaware and thinks he is the epitome of the ideal human, though most people are put off by him.

Marion Salson is based on Mary Sanderson from Hocus Pocus and is the shyest of the triplets. He's Winnie's shadow and idolizes his brother, and even tried switching clubs but was denied. He has a very acute sense of smell on par with beastmen, so he hates how perfumed Pomefiore is, as he'll get migraines from the smell. Marion would like to become a healer, like his mother, and volunteers in the infirmary as much as possible.

Silas Salson is based on Sarah Sanderson, though they like to go by Sy. Sy likes to dress up in both masculine and feminine clothes and sometimes will ask everyone to refer to them as he, she, or they, depending on how they feel day to day. They also like to eat bugs and will snatch a flying cockroach from the air and shove into their mouth to eat. They say it's because they like how the texture feels in their mouth. Sy is also an excellent singer and would like to study bardic magic.

Aspen Albamar is based on Morgana from the second Little Mermaid, though his name references her green skin. He tries to be composed, but it's quite easy to push his buttons and get him riled up, unintentional or not. He is a wonderful musician, but actually has trouble with magic, as he was a late bloomer. He's originally from the Arctics and moved to the Coral Sea very young,

Tony Lombardi is based on Undertow from the second Little Mermaid, and is extremely small for his type of merfolk, which is a tiger shark. He, unlike the rest of his mer peers, is really into flight class and surprisingly excels in it. It might come as little surprise, but Tony has a big ol' fat crush on Aspen and has since they were children, but has kept it on the down low. Despite his warnings that Jade most likely views him as a little brother, Tony will begrudgingly help Aspen in pursing him since it makes him happy.

Yaqub Fahim is based on Iago from Aladdin and is a parrot beastman. Yaqub is arguably the most level-headed of all the Ramshackle freshmen, and gets along with most if not all of his peers. He does not like Kalim and Jamil at all, as both are off-putting to him for different reasons, so he is not particularly attached to Scarabia as his dorm, so he prefers to stay in Ramshackle as long as possible.

Amara Goethel, also known as Nurse Goethel, is based on Mother Gothel from Tangled. She is in charge of the infirmary, but also teaches the health and wellness curriculum, which has classes that correspond with both science and health, so she works with Vargas and Crewel often. She has a very hot wife who is covered in tattoos and

I wanted to establish a cast of side characters to make up for the lack of the third years, so I decided that new freshman would be the best choice! A lot of their background and 'lore' won't be relevant in the main story, but I would like to write more about them in little side snippets!

Some of them will end up together or with an unnamed background character. Two technically have partners already, but one of them doesn't really count. Anyways this was fun thanks for asking about them, though I think I shared more than asked lol.

Hello everyone! Welcome to the official start of the Glenwood Parks Tumblr page. For those of you who are unfamiliar, I am a Park Ranger stationed at Glenwood Parks, and since December 2023, have been the main person responsible for running the Glenwood Parks Twitter account.

Following a show of interest from those who read, follow, and interact with our channel, we were asked to potentially expand to here as well, to let fans have an easier time viewing our posts. We took a vote, and a near-unanimous "Yes" won - so here we are! Before I sign off, here's a couple of Q&A's our team put together, to hopefully help any newcomers along:

1. Who runs the account? A: Myself, a fellow Parks employee from our Botany team who goes by the name of Dewdrop, and Miss Diane, whom you may have met at the Ranger Station.

2. How do we know who's posting? A: Currently we use a mix of written names and emojis (you'll find Dewdrop's fairly on the nose) to indicate who is writing outside of myself, chosen by the writers.

3. What do you post here? A: Event announcements, fun facts from the Park, and some occasional interactions between the different teams/departments.

4. I heard you and Dewdrop got into a prank war and got in trouble for posting it on the Twitter. A: No comment. 5. Can I view the old tweets on here? A: Not as of yet, but we are considering forming an "archive" of our previous messages, for easier viewing. If there's enough interest generated, it's a guarantee! 6. Can I ask you guys questions/reply to the tweets/leave comments? A: Yes! We highly encourage anyone and everyone to take part. While we may not always be able to answer everyone, it makes our entire team very happy to see people enjoying themselves and wanting to engage with our Park. 7. who's your favorite criminal clownery character to draw? favorite to write/think about? favorite dynamic? and can i get a fun fact or something you havent shared yet about them :]

my favs to draw are pirplexa and shirley for some reason. pirplexa because she's like a weird son to me (i'm very attached to her! shes like my favorite oc ever! i went off when i designed her!) + shirley because ever since i changed her hair style shes been a lot easier+more fun to draw. i think also carni i love drawing her w different hair styles and clothing.

my favorites to write for are pirplexa/carni/prince. that makes sense cuz theyre like. the Main protagonists+villain, but its really fun to explore their different personalities/backstories. Dude writing backstories especially for pirplexa and prince is so fun for me. also recently writing xio has been really fun n interesting to me. in general i think its fun to explore Why A Character is like That, why do they behave like that!

i got a lot of dynamics i like exploring but my favs are carni/pirplexa, carni/trill, prince/shirley, prince/xio and babs/miles. for carni dynamics its fun because she's one of the more happy/chipper characters, contrasted with pirplexa being more cold/untrusting and trill being more calm and collected. i plan for carni and trill to really dislike eachother at first, but eventually start to understand and fall for eachother <3 while with carni and pirplexa its more about pirplexa learning to trust and make friends again.

prince and shirley are siblings with extremely different world views and thought processes, they really dislike eachother. they grew up in the same enviroment yet reacted to it completely differently.

prince and xio is fun to me, ive been trying to give xio more of involved in the story+cast&crew while prince just thinks of her as his cute secretary. he sucks real bad! she doesnt like him she barely tolerates the others but he pays her to kill people so shes like whatever i can deal with this. and then she finds out he wants a consensual workplace relationship and shes like YAY HOW CAN I MANIPULATE THIS MAN!!!!!!!!!!!

babs/miles are dating at the beginning of cc, but their relationship gets a bit complicated due to babs being a little crazy about him and miles struggling with his sense of masculinity, its really not a relationship thats meant to last for long, its a bit tragic. (also why they are in love by david byrne is in both of their playlists LOL)

a few fun facts:

i dont think ive shared here is that prince and shirleys parents were movie stars! they met on the set of a film and had multiple movies with eachother. prince and shirley both had an odd childhood under a lot of surveillance from the public, plus their parents weren't very great parents. they both react to their trauma very differently, prince being "grateful" for it, giving him media training and feeling like his parents crafted him (even when he knows his parents didn't have much faith in him and bet a lot on shirley), while shirley absolutely despises the rest of her family. of course she'll go to the annual family dinner with prince, but that doesnt mean that she won't loathe every second of it.

pirplexa is a dog person! he loves dogs! he doesn't own one because he doesnt think hes in the right headspace to have one yet, but he will pet every random dog on the street. i like to think a few years after the events of cc when he's mentally better, he does adopt a dog.

miles and shirley don't get along very well, shirleys kinda like a bully older sister, she puts him in headlocks and stuff.

if you get the color symbolism (heh) in cc i will give you a badge. idk

shirley likes to write, babs likes to sing, miles likes to draw and design.

trill originally got a degree in botany, but realized she wanted to pursue comedy/acting instead. she can still correctly identify plants!!! yay!!!

She is the oldest of all, she went through MANY changes in her desing, but I leave you some information about her:

-Interests:Science and botany

-Personality: Shy, somewhat serious at first glance (She is actually very cool), insecure in some cases other than science or gardening

At first I thought of making her as a forest guardian, but I wasn't convinced and now she's a normal girl lmao

She is the second one I create (she is the one with long straight hair in my old drawings) her creation story is a little funny, because it came from a mod that I designed for fnf LMAO

I really liked FNF, and seeing how the fandom created their own mods with their own characters encouraged me to create my own oc, obviously I never created a mod for the game, but it was fun desing it for myselfed.

(That's how it was in the beginning)

I wanted to make her look more human and the result was what she currently

They dynamic is literally moon x Sun, only their color palettes appear to be the complete opposite, I quite like giving these types of twists.

Don’t worry, Anon, nobody knew NC had clubs in the first place lol

I haven’t touched their clubs since I wrote them a year ago, but here’s my list for now- And then I realised they’re all sport clubs, huh.

Anyway, for sport clubs they have: football (soccer for everyone reading it from the US), basketball, volleyball, tennis, horse riding, track and field, yoga (kid you not), archery, golf (yeah).

They also have electives which I mistakenly mixed up with being clubs as well! So these are not clubs, but classes they can choose to attend: cooking, botany, introduction to medicine/law, economics (business, management, finance), and quantum physics. You can skip all of those if you’re a jock and plan on having a career in sports or if your parents wrote a special request to skip it. You can also choose one.

I’m so glad you asked me this, Anon, it’d be so troublesome to fix it later in the story.

NC is considered a prep college for higher education among other things, this is why it’s so wild.

The most popular ones... I would assume that for sport clubs they are football, tennis and horse riding, and for electives they’re medicine, law, and economics.

Niall looks like someone who enjoys tennis and horse riding, so maybe one of those! He definitely has an elective, but I’m not sure which one, I didn’t think it though yet.

Ned is not in any sport club, but they really want him, especially their football team. I’m not going to tell you which elective he chose~ Sorry!

Edmund isn’t in any clubs yet, he needs some time to get used to the college and their curriculum.

Liam chose botany and really likes it so far.

Got you, Anon! I'm so glad you love them <3 It’s a totally useless information, but for some reason it’s a fun trivia, at least for me. I won’t even use it in the story, most likely.

Unicorns have medovik (Russian honey cake) as their traditional cake. It matches their colour scheme perfectly, it suits Niall’s honey theme a lot and it’s quite delicious. It looks like something suitable for their tea parties.

Dragons have a Coffee and Walnut cake. I personally never tried those, but for some reason I think it rather suits them. It’s more... strict, compared to medovik, for example? Idk. Here’s the site where I took the picture from.

Ravens have Bûche De Noël, even if it’s not Christmas (in theory, they don’t even have Christmas...). It’s just a cake that I really want to try some day, and the fact that it’s a roll makes it so inviting, for some reason... It also suits Raven’s winter-ish aesthetic, as they have fir on their emblem.

And Snakes have... Coffee layer cake topped with a Swiss meringue buttercream. Wow that’s a lot of words. I guess it was supposed to be a coffee cake, but I really liked this one in particular, so here’s the website for it. It’s definitely something Liam bakes, but they can go with a simpler version if they want.

Yes but I wasn't expecting this option to win the poll so I originally lowballed the amount of fun facts

NOW ON TO THE FACTS

1: When I first wanted to participate in Pokemon Roleplay I was originally going to play a different character. She would've been my player character OC from Brilliant Diamond and Legends Arceus. She was the former Sinnoh champion, had a connection with Dialga, was sent to and back from Hisui, and became a Pokemon groomer after experiencing all those horrors and coming back home. I scraped the idea because it felt too "mary sue" and I didn't know if people would be too critical of her or not.

2: Viper was originally an OC before she became a role play character, surprisingly I haven't made too many character changes when deciding to role play as her. Except for her connection with the Subway Bosses, which changed a lot. Originally they were her surrogate uncle figures, but I changed the relationship they had because I wasn't aware if there were any Ingo or Emmet roleplayers. Even after meeting [TAG INGO AND EMMET] I feel like the whole surrogate uncle thing wouldn't work with their current relationship 

3: earlier Viper character designs had a lot of Scene and Scenecore influence. However these were scrapped because they looked bad and I hope they never see the light of day

4: Viper has really sharp teeth, similar looking to Iono's. There's no real reason for why they are so sharp other then I thought it looked cool

5: I have never actually played any Gen 5 games. A lot of my knowledge comes from Bulbipedia, my experience with the Gen 5, anime, and my Submas hyperfixation

6: Viper is autistic, because the mod is also autistic 

7: Viper's current special interest is Poison types. But when she was a kid she had a train and Subway Masters special interest, and after that she had a botany special interest. 

8: Viper currently lives in Virbank, but she was born and raised in Nimbasa and spent some time living in Driftveil 

9: when Viper lived in Ninbasa she befriended a Trubbish who she would eventually reunite with. This Trubbish became Viper's ace Buttercup the Garbodor 

10: Viper's Mom is a Flouriest and her Dad was a mechanic at Gear Station but he has since retired

11: Viper was bullied a lot as a child 

12: Viper's parents divorced when she was in middle school. She chose to move with her mom in Driftveil

13: Viper is a Highschool drop out

14: Viper started her Pokemon Journey because of her Mom insisting that "if you're gonna drop out of school you might as well become a trainer". She even called Professor Juniper to send a Snivy as a starter. This was how she met Oleander the Serperior

15: Viper really likes camping, it makes her nostalgic for her times traveling Unova doing the gym challenge 

16: Viper had two pokemon on her gym challenge team that are she no longer owns, they're Stamp the Swoobat and Dribble the Vaporeon. They were donated to Professor Juniper a little after she started working at the Virbank Gym.

17: Dribble was caught in Castelia as an eevee roaming the streets

18: Stamp was caught as a woobat on Reversal Mountan

19: Viper never grew out of her admiration for the Subway Bosses, she's just better at hiding it now.

20: Viper only caught a Litwik and a Joltik because they're prominent pokemon on Ingo and Emmet's teams. They're even named after them

21: Emmey was caught in charge stone cave

22: Ingrid was caught in the celestial tower

23: Viper absolutely despises any and all evil teams, this stems from an incident during her travels. Viper was walking out of a pokemart late at night with Emmey out of her pokeball, when a team plasma grunt ran by and grabbed her. Viper started physically attacking this grunt out of fear to get Emmey back, which was successful. 

24: Viper was inspired by battling Roxie to become a Poison Type specialist

25: Viper completed the gym challenge and had the chance to fight the Elite Four, but decided against it because she had no desire to become champion 

26: Viper caught her Scolipede Belladonna as a Whirlipede in Lostlorn Forest after she finished the gym challenge bur before applying to work at the Virbank Gym. She remembers this day fondly.

27: Viper works part time at the Battle Subway, she just gets called in to battle trainers on the lines when no one else is available.

28: Viper has made a kid cry before after beating them in a pokemon battle at the Virbank Gym

29: Dripple the Vapoureon was eventually donated to a swimming school to help kids learn to swim. Viper visits her often.

30: Viper has a kitchen cabinet in her room dedicated to Ingo and Emmet merch, both official and unofficial. If you ask her about it she'll deny it's existence.

31: Two Ten the Arbok was found as an ekans in Floccesy Town. It was believed to be released by a trainer and was considered invasive in the area, so Viper decided to investigate it. 

32: Cyanide is Viper's most recent pokemon, they were originally an egg gifted from someone at the gym who acquired it in Galar. 

33: When is comes to @lostlornghost Viper originally started bickering with them as a way to prove her superiority after their altercation in the Subway tunnels. But now she fights with them as a way to show her affection.

34: Outside of team skull business, Viper wants to know @team skull unova better 

35: Viper would've probably participated in the Team Skull raid on the Plasma Castle regardless if she was a team skull member or not

36: Viper recently started to keep her personal life a secret from the people at the Virbank Gym. She doesn't want anyone to know about her wacky, cosmic horror filled RoTumblr adventures.

37: personally I believe that Viper putting on the @liminal-station head and getting possessed by Virus was really out of character her to do. I feel like she would've been more adverse to putting on an inter dimensional severed head. I only did it because of my love for the trope of characters getting possessed and evil shadow selfs, and I think I made it work.

38: from Viper's perspective, she was trapped in a room of static during the Virus arc. Viper still has nightmares of this place 

39: Viper was semi-aware during the Virus arc. She she had the energy for it she could sorta tap into her senses and see what Virus was doing in her body. 

40: despite everything, Virus doesn't blame the Liminal Subway bosses for what happened to her. They had no idea any of this would've happen, she knows it wasn't their fault.

41: Ever since the Virus arc Viper has been suffering from Post Eldritch Madness. That head flooded her 3rd dimensional brain with knowledge from a world without knowledge, indescribable things she does not fully understand. And despite everything she's expecting to return to her life as normal.

“Here you are ma’am. Thank you for stopping by! You picked some lovely flowers.” Jyushi smiled brightly at the old woman as he handed her her bouquet of flowers.

She smiled back at him. “Such a nice boy! Thank you for helping me!”

His smile never faltered as she left the flower shop and he gave a self-satisfied sigh when she was gone. As he started to wipe down the counter, his coworker slid up next to him.

“You’re such a nice boy, Jyushi!” Kuko cooed, pinching his cheek.

Jyushi pouted. “Kuko! Stop being so mean to me!”

“Leave him alone, Kuko.” Hitoya, their manager, yelled from the back room.

Kuko rolled his eyes. “You people are no fun.” Setting himself down on the stool behind the counter, he asked, “So, do you have today’s flowers all picked out and ready?”

Jyushi felt his cheeks burn hot at the mention of the special flowers he set aside once a week for a very special customer. Almost a year ago, you started coming into the flower shop with a giant encyclopedia. After a couple of weeks of trying to talk to you but being too shy, Jyushi managed to learn that you were studying botany, specifically flowers, and were taking notes on the different flowers the store had. So he took it upon himself to help you out. Every week since then, when you came in with your notes and dazzling smile, he would hand you a flower and spew out facts about it from the research he did during the week before your visit. It soon became his favorite part of the day, not that he would ever tell you that.

Nodding, he pointed to a wrapped bundle of white flowers. “Yep. I have magnolias already prepared for today.”

“Magnolias, huh?” Jyushi nearly jumped out of his skin, seeing you at the counter, your smile almost blinding him.

He nodded again, a bit more bashful, causing Kuko to snicker before leaving the two of you alone to talk. “Yeah. Magnolias. Did you know that the flowers bloom before the leaves appear on the plant?”

Your eyes widened and you quickly jotted the fact down. “I do now! Seriously, Jyushi, what would I do without you? With your help, I’ll be able to become a professional botanist and work with flowers everyday for the rest of my life.”

“That would be wonderful.” He couldn’t help but smile. You always get so passionate and excited about your future. Your optimism always wore off on him, not that he minded in the slightest.

Taking one of the flowers from the small bouquet, you held out your hand. “May I borrow the scissors, please?”

After Jyushi handed them to you, you cut the stem shorter and tucked the flower behind your ear. Little did you know, but the cheeks of the boy in front of you exploded in pink. Did you even know how cute you look right now? You looked like some floral goddess. His heart skipped a beat.

“You look so pretty.”

Both of you were speechless, but Jyushi was panicking. He didn’t really say that out loud now, did he? Please tell him he didn’t just embarrass himself in front of you! He would never be able to live this one down! His life was effectively over.

However, you laughed. It was a pretty sound that seemed to make the sun shine brighter and the flowers around you both began to glow. “Aw, thank you! You’re pretty handsome if I do say so myself.”

Again, his cheeks darkened. “Oh, ah, thank you.”

Jyushi’s heart jumped into his throat when you gently took his hand in yours. He looked at you confused, shocked, and desperate, while you just grinned softly. It was then he thought, perhaps your heart was beating just as fast as his at this exact moment.

“So, tell me more about these magnolias…”

3) What song describes your OC?

Finding OC songs is hard for me because I rarely listen to new stuff, but! I went digging through my spotify and found one I like for her. Dreamer by Elizaveta. Her song Hero also has good WoL energy!

6) If your OC is in a fantasy setting, what profession would they be in the modern day?

I'm pretty sure all conjurers are environmental conservationists. I could also give her something like Arborist or Landscaper, because those are trade school/apprenticeship type jobs and there ain't no way Vera's going to college Either way she's working with nature!

8) What hobbies does your OC have? What do they do to unwind?

This one was somehow the hardest to answer, but I now have multiple ideas for it.

I think she gardens, or at least has filled her various home bases with potted plants. The scions had no choice in this matter, the pots just kept appearing. Tending to them is a good way to slow down at the end of the day.

For daytime hobbies though, she likes to explore as any WoL would! She would definitely be the kind of person that drags her friends to every tourist trap she sees. She would also be into hikes and nature walks, and would subject anyone who came with her to fun facts about plants and animals along the way. If it were modern day, she would 100% have a camera and repeatedly stop to snap pictures of a Cool Leaf or the like.

She will also occasionally dabble in random arts and crafts, but they never stick for more than a few weeks at a time.

10) How does your OC handle their mental health? Do they take care of themselves?

The toxic positivity answer still stands, although that is most relevant during MSQ levels of stress. For normal levels though?

If she just needs to feel better she will surround herself with her favorite people. Ideally she would drag them out for activities, but if not she will simply Be There- like a cat pretending it's a complete coincidence that they're always in the same room as you. (You can tell she's upset because she's trying to play it cool. If she were in a good mood she'd be following you from room to room like a puppy obviously hoping for attention.)

If she needs to actually process some feelings, she will find herself work that will keep her hands busy and make her feel productive and helpful while her mind wanders. Black Shroud botany leve quests are the ideal, but really going off and gathering anywhere for a few hours will work.

And then she will attach herself to her favorite people again. Having feelings is exhausting sometimes!

I do think she was a lot better about talking to people and asking for help before MSQ shenanigans started, but after EW she's having to learn how to take the hero mask back off.

okay uhhhh i wanted to say something very quick about Angel but then i realized it would need some background info of his character sooooooo in short summary:

Angel has always had a vague fascination of humans but always just in the wrong lens, if that makes sense. more of just like, he enjoyed things from a distance (including the horrors that are brought upon by the humans), without thought of how it affects the humans down below. basically, in a cartoony, more-evil sorta sense, he's basically like "wow humans are so resourceful just look at them go <3" while they drop nukes on each other and shit at some point he starts to have empathy and realizes they're real people down there? and that, even though hes an angel and has been told this his whole existence, he is not in fact Better than humans. he gets character development before the story even starts and goes through his whole character arc to learn to respect life that isn't his and that even the smallest of life matters (he also gets really into biology (specifically botany, ecology, and even microbiology!)

anyways so thats Pre-Amnesia Angel (who is good and loves Earth and stuff). I'm sure as you would guess, Post-Amnesia Angel remembers none of that shit and is back to hating Earth and having a whole superiority thing over humans (in case you're wondering, the whole story is based around him having amnesia)

anyways while Lucifer is like "hiiii :) can you get inside of my house please :) and stay in there :) and never leave :) ily <33" Angel is going "Shut The Fuck Up im Trying to Remember Things" and its just a grand ol' time really <333 (i love them so much because if Angel even gets a fraction of his memories back, Lucifer is wiping his memories again. like if he even remembers his love for plants he is done for 😭)

oh hi there @beardedladyqueen -- I mean, anonymous-- what fabulous glasses you have! Hehe

So about twice or three times a week (depending on the weather), Reader will go into town and talk to the townspeople, checking in on them and hearing out their grievances and just generally making them feel heard and cared for by her family. She'll also handle matters that are too petty and small scale for her parents to handle, like a farmer's fence being broken and some of their chickens escaping. She'll send someone to help out in cases like that.

She also has her education, which includes history, math, etiquette, politics, science, religion, embroidery, music, diplomatic relations, etc. Her parents want her to be a well-rounded, worldly person, but they also definitely want to make her into good wife material lol. The illustrations she makes are for her father's scribes, who write out books by hand. She also travels once or twice a year to other cities to learn what the world is like outside of her father's lands.

Fun fact: her favorite subject is botany because as a kid, she used to want to run away. She did once but ran out of food and it was too cold outdoors lol. Then she realized she didn't know anything about surviving out in the wilderness and became envious of trees, because the only things they need to survive are fresh air, rain, and sunshine. They don't even need to move around to get it, as long as they've planted roots in a good place. This grew into a general interest in plants, especially flowers. As an adult she's much more grateful and content with her current life.

As for Finn and Marcus, it's unlikely they'll show up in the fic but I also don't want to say "never". I never want to close the door on any writing ideas because you never know where the writing juice will take you haha.

Tagged by @ceph-the-ghost-writer! Trying to get back to being more active here. One day I will write a chapter of one of my stories, I swear.

Let's start!

1. Are you named after anyone? Ostensibly not! My parents had a Talk TM before I was born and they both decided that I should not be named after anyone, to make my life my own etc. They found a name that hadn't appeared on either side of my family till that day. And then my aunt named her child the same name 🙃

2. When was the last time you cried? Sad Moment TM - it was my grandma's funeral last year (the exact anniversary is due in a couple of days), and before that, my other grandma's funeral a couple of years back. I'm not a big crier, though I sometimes wish I were. Lets feelings out.

3. Do you have kids? No, but I'm cool with having them one day, with the right person to raise them with. Love the fact that those funky creatures turn into actual taxpayers with careers one day.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot? not really. In text - perhaps. With people I know well - yes. Generally no, I'm not that kind of a joker. In fact, I am a little dull IRL.

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people? How they react to other people, I think. Their relations with coworkers, how they talk to customers, people above and below them in the company hierarchy etc. I love analyzing that too. I also adore trying to figure out where they're from based on their vocab/accent.

6. What’s your eye color? Greyish blue. The dullest colour there is, though one person (very dear to me) called it "like winter sky on a frosty morning". Not cool enough to be "steel eyes", not blue enough to be compared to aquatic formations. There's no such thing as ugly eye colour though, and mine isn't either.

7. Scary movies or happy endings? Def both. Scary with a happy ending. I'm not a fan of jump scares but I think characters have to fight (and sometimes suffer) for their happy ending sometimes.

8. Any special talents? Hah. what does "special" mean? I'm stubborn in all the wrong ways and it makes me end up in some odd situations. I am rarely lost and read maps very well, and if you give me a simple task that needs to be repeated 1000 times, I'll happily do it without getting bored. I will just imagine my blorbos suffering during that time, so any negative moodlets cannot affect me.

9. Where were you born? Poland! In a small town I've only ever been to twice in my life, including my birth! The local hospital used to have a wonderful maternity ward and all, so my parents went there every time they had a baby on the way.

10. What are your hobbies? I write and I read, I find out weird stuff on the internet. I like crafts like stitching and knitting, I make my own beer, cider and fruit liquers, and work in the garden a lot! Oh, and I love languages an awful lot.

11. Have you any pets? I have two cats that live with my parents now - one of them is an idiot and also quarter European wildcat - he has 2 braincells only. The other one is his domestic cat momma, a black demoness that loves staying in the shadows and attacking you when you step on her (she doesn't have a non-black hair on her body so you can imagine she is stepped on quite often).

12. What sports do you play/have played? Used to be into handball in high school. Right now I mostly swim, usually when I have to think about stuff. I can't listen to my music in the swimming pool so I'm forced to listen to y thoughts. Other than that, I juggle! And it's fun and satisfying and you can make your own juggling balls with balloons and sand/rice!

13. How tall are you? 164 cm. Not great, not terrible. I get +2 in sneaking though, and exploring basements, mines and medieval castles is generally safe for me, at least when it comes to bumping your head on low door frames.

14. Favorite subject in school? Foreign languages and biology. I also enjoyed maths a lot, but I had good teachers all the way. In uni - history of Greece, pharmaceutical botany, infectious diseases and ethics.

15. Dream job? Coming up with new blorbos to torment and put in Situations TM and talking about them. Since I have no discipline to be a full-time writer, my current job is a very nice second-best option.

Notes: So fun fact, I’ve actually been wanting to write a one-shot similar to this one focused on Door 3!Michelle and the Maid, so I actually struggled writing this one because I didn’t want to use much of my initials ideas I had for the OS lol.

The first time she’d met her, her face had been one of utter despair.

It had been very brief, but Michelle had distinctly seen it and couldn’t manage to forget it; it was welded into her mind, carved into her eyes. Even Jacopo, not the most astute when it came to the feelings of others, had clearly noticed her stricken expression with the way she felt him tense to her side.

Michelle couldn’t wrap her mind around why. She’d never met the woman before, she was sure of it, and all she had done was smile at her and greet her in the most polite way she could.

Her shaken expression had quickly disappeared before her face went back to a neutral one, buried under a facade of placidity, but Michelle could still plainly see the shine of pain glinting in her beautiful jade eyes.

She kept replaying the scene in her mind — trying to find the slightest details that could explain such a reaction; what Michelle could have possibly done to wrong her this much, but nothing came.

The oddity about this woman didn’t stop there, though.

When she decided to ask more about her, Jacopo simply gave her a bewildered look, as if that was a ridiculous thing to want to know.

“She’s just a maid,” he said. “All I know is that she was here at the manor before I even came.”

He didn’t know where she came from, didn’t know who she’d worked for before — he didn’t even know her name, in fact. Michelle felt completely flabbergasted at this, and asked him how he could not even want to know such basic things about his own employees. He just shrugged.

“She is just a maid.”

Apparently, to Jacopo, as long as she was doing her job nothing else mattered — and doing her job, she was particularly good at it.

Not a single servant worked as efficiently and meticulously as her, and half the time, Michelle thought she almost looked like a marionette who was being manipulated by a puppeteer from the shadows.

Maria also shared Jacopo’s thoughts. When Michelle asked her about the head maid, she had just laughed and waved her hand in a dismissive way; “She’s just some creepy lady, leave her be.”

She probably should have headed their advices. The servants of the house were only employees, and there was no need for the masters to take an interest in their personal lives. Surely, if the woman had never said a word to anyone about herself, not even her name, then it was because she didn’t want to — and getting intrusive about it against her wish would be quite rude.

But somehow, Michelle couldn’t just leave her be.

She found herself oddly captivated by her.

Her eyes followed the Maid around whenever she caught sight of her in a corridor, or when she would come to serves tea. Whenever their gazes crossed, the woman would smile at her, but her face was blank, her eyes empty. It made Michelle’s heart aches.

This woman made her uncomfortable, but more than anything she made her sad.

She could tell, behind the walls of placidity she hid behind, that she was in a lot of pain — and, for a reason Michelle couldn’t explain, she felt that somehow this was her fault.

She woke up in the middle of the night when a thunderous noise broke into her room.

Cold and water violently spread throughout the bedchambers, and Michelle looked around with surprise. She realized all of this was coming from the window, which had brutally opened upon the strength of the storm raging outside; the wind and rain were so powerful it had forcibly unlocked it and made the curtains wildly flapping around.

Michelle instantly stood up and ran to the window; her long white hair flying all around her, getting wet and sticking to her skin because of the rain. She tried to get it closed as quickly as she could, but the wind was so violent that her frail arms could barely manages to grasp each sides.

Suddenly, a firmer, stronger hand seized the window from behind her.

“Let it go, Madam. You are going to hurt yourself.”

Michelle jumped in surprised, inadvertently doing as she was told, and realizing the person who’d just spoken to her was the black-haired maid. She hadn’t even heard her enter her room, though she supposed it wasn’t that surprising given how noisy the tempest was.

Despite her surprise, she actually listened to her and stepped aside, while the Maid cleared off the curtains and bravely faced the animated window with unyielding hands. It took her only a couple of seconds before being able to close it tightly and put a bar to keep it that way, under Michelle’s impressed eyes.

“Wow, you’re a lot stronger than you look!” She couldn’t help but exclaim in awe, and then felt herself blushing a little because of how childish she sounded.

The Maid didn’t seem to mind as she put the curtains back in place, and then turned towards her. She silently scrutinized her in a way that made Michelle blush even more, so she looked away.

“U-Um…”

“At the risk of sounding rude, Madam… you are all wet and disheveled. I believe it would be preferable for you to change clothes and dry your hair before going back to bed.”

“H-Huh? Oh, right…!”

Michelle was, indeed, quite ‘wet and disheveled’ — and it was putting it mildly. Her nightgown was not exactly drenched but pretty humid, and her long hair was all soaked and messy around her face and shoulders, sticking to her frame. She must have looked quite awful. Thank goodness her husband wasn’t around to behold such a sight.

Before she could say any more, the other woman turned around, headed towards her wardrobe, and in a handful of seconds she was already handing her a new gown. She asked her if she needed any help putting the dress on, but Michelle quickly refused; even though she was used to servants helping her out since she was a child, she’d never liked letting others doing simple tasks for her like that. So the Maid let her do as she pleased, but stayed in the room while she undressed, only turning her back to her to give her some intimacy — which, for some reason, made Michelle’s stomach tie into knots. She didn’t know why, but the other woman’s presence somehow rendered her very anxious.

Once she was done, she smiled at her, almost about to say that everything was fine now and she could go, but then she noticed a comb in the woman’s hand.

“You might not let me help dress you, but please at least allow me to rearrange your hair a little.”

Michelle’s first instinct was to tell her it wasn’t necessary. She was going back to bed, after all — so her hair was going to end up a mess either way. But somehow she felt unable to open her mouth once her eyes crossed the Maid’s.

There was something odd, in her gaze. Something almost begging.Yearning.

Michelle’s lip trembled; she looked away, then nodded, unable to sustain the other’s eyes.

Soon she found herself sitting in front of her mirror as the Maid was slowly, gently combing her humid white hair. Michelle couldn’t help but vaguely ponder how strange of a situation this was; here she was, in the middle of the night, getting pampered by the unsettling nameless head maid of the mansion while a tempest was hollering outside.

A part of her almost felt like she was doing something taboo or forbidden, like cheating on her husband.

The Maid delicately threaded her fingers into the strands, as if making sure she wouldn’t forget a single knot, and the gesture was so tender that something in Michelle’s chest broke like glass.

She was handling her like something terribly precious; a treasured doll, a cherished daughter. A lover.

Somehow, somewhere, the whole thing felt upsettingly familiar. As she looked up into the mirror, she had a strange feeling of déjà vu; and in the light of a thunder, she thought she almost saw the silhouette of a younger version of herself, all dressed up in a beautiful, old-fashioned golden and white dress.

She blinked, and the vision was gone, but the hundreds contradictory feelings filling her chest and clogging up her throat stayed.

“You, um,” she tried — she needed to speak, to break the silence, otherwise she felt like she was going to suffocate. “—Uh, what, what are you doing here at this time? I mean, it’s so late… were you not sleeping?”

For a long time, the Maid stayed quiet, and Michelle almost thought she was not going to answer her.

“I never sleep,” she finally said. “So usually, I am doing rounds in the manor. But then I heard noises in your room, and I got worried.”

“O-Oh… Is that so?”

Admittedly, she did often look tired, with her skin almost as pale as Michelle’s and her big black circles under her eyes. Still, hearing her say she had been worried about her sounded… nice.

“I apologize if I worried you…”

“Don’t. I am only doing my duty.”

“I know… But still, thank you. Not a lot of people… have been very kind to me before.”

For a brief moment, Michelle felt the comb still in her hair; but by the time she got to lift her head and look at the other woman in the mirror, any trace of surprise or shock had disappeared and she was back to doing her task.

“I-I mean, my parents were very nice to me. And now, well… I have Maria. She told me we were friends.” She laughed a little. “I’ve never had any friends before, you know? I might have been… quite lonely in my previous home. And then, of course, there’s my husband—”

She was pretty sure she felt the comb stop yet again, but she was so caught up in her own feelings that she couldn’t bring herself to get distracted by it.

She wasn’t sure why she felt so talkative all of a sudden, opening up to this strange woman she knew nothing about.

But for as unsettling as she could — there was something about her… that felt weirdly comfortable, too.

“Well… he has been… acting a little strangely towards me lately. Like he’s… avoiding me…”

Her hands tightened on her on thighs, and she barely noticed the deep breath the Maid took from behind her.

“Would you… Would you have some advice to spare? I… I’m afraid of losing him, and… I mean, I’m sorry if that is rude of me, but I heard some of the servants gossip about you… maybe being married—”

Her question was brusquely cut by a vivid pain that made her shriek. Something — someone — had abruptly pulled on her hair, in such a brutal way that had unmistakably meant to hurt, and Michelle jumped from her chair and turned around.

The black-haired, green-eyed woman stood there, in front of her, but in the darkness she was unable to gauge her expression. Only her jade eyes were shining under the candle and the moonlight; something so deeply intense and full of resentment that Michelle’s throat and heart dried up instantly.

In the Maid’s right hand was dandling a few of her white strands that she had clearly torn up from her head.

They stared at each other in silence, and then Michelle felt something she’d never felt for this woman until now: fear. In this instant, for a brief, terrifying second, she was certain she was about to kill her; in some strange hallucination, she could almost feel her cold hands around her throat, pressing and pressing her trachea until nothing of her was left.

But the Maid did nothing of the sort. Instead, she lowered her hands, and the intensity of her eyes diminished until it was back to her normal, perfectly neutral stance.

“If you want advice,” she said, voice eerily cold. “Then I can give one. Do not trust in love too much, Madam.”

With some strength she didn’t know she possessed, Michelle was able to open up her mouth, even though the entirety of her body was trembling. Because she felt that the Maid was telling her what Maria had recently started rambling about; you’re too good for that guy. Leave him! With your looks, you’ll have no trouble finding a new one who’ll treat you like a princess!

“But I love him.”

She said it out loud, a little desperately, a little like a prayer.

The maid didn’t budge. Her expression was of stone.

“Sometimes, love is not worth it.”

And then she simply turned around, with the comb and the hair and the candle, closing the door behind her.

Michelle stood there, all alone, in the dark — and for some reason she couldn’t fathom, tears rolled down her face.

Here I was thinking y'all had abandoned me and I wouldn't be getting any more after the first one. :( So thanks for the ask, and double thanks because it's Lamia!!!

Sexuality Headcanon: She's simply not straight. And also homophobic.

A ship I have with said character: None. She doesn't even have "shippable" interactions with anyone.

A BROTP I have with said character: I LOVE her relationship with Prisca. Though, can I even call it a BROTP? Because it's not like I want them to get along; I'm very amused by how toxic they are to each other. It's so entertaining to read.

Furthermore, I think it's a crime that we didn't get to see her exchange more than around 3 scant lines with Vincent on-screen. Lamia genuinely appreciated Vincent for his abilities to some extent, and Vincent seemed to tolerate her at least. How dare you establish something like that between 2 characters I adore and then do almost nothing with it?! I need to see more of their dynamic, and I sure hope future material depicts it more clearly.

A NOTP I have with said character: I've only seen a few people ship her with Priscilla and... no, just no.

A random headcanon: Since she has some sort of gardening theme going on, I like to imagine she used to have a huge, gorgeous garden back at her mansion, and she was extremely strict with the gardeners she hired to maintain it. She's knowledgeable in botany, especially, as you'd expect, in poisonous plants, and even had some of them in her room.

General Opinion over said character: Favorite Re:Zero girl. I started reading EX 5 for Vincent, but I stayed for Lamia. I was in awe from the first moment I read her appearances. She's so charming and fun. Her boldness and mordacity, combined with her graceful conduct, are exquisite to read, and I support her rights and wrongs alike.

My only complaint is that she has so little screentime. How can you create such a fascinating character and then not use her potential?

That said, you have no idea how excited I was when she returned as an undead in arc 7. She's yet to reappear thus far, but I hope the author does something amazing with her; she's perfect for drama.

A bit of an unpopular opinion, but her design is... disappointing. It's not bad but I feel like it doesn't have much of her personality to it. Perhaps it's due to the fact that I read the story with her in it before her official design was revealed, but still.
