Okay so… I’m definitely a couple years late to the “party”, but what exactly is the deal with the Decepticons who crashed on Earth being animal related?

They never mentioned being Predacons (cause I assume those are still a future thing) and Maximals are the Autobot adjacent animal-Cybertronian fused bots. I just assumed they were some kind of version of Beastformers, but I never recalled them mentioning anything. Because I feel like that could be at least mentioned in the TFWiki. So am I just left to assume that some Cybertronians are forged with animal attributes and some aren’t, and that the Alchemor was made specifically for the Decepticons who fit into that category?

I know that I might be reading too much into this but come on. Am I just not remembering when Fixit would say “Beastformer” —out loud specifically? Or do they just not say it so we’re left to assume that they’re directly coming from Cybertron? Because there is a planet in Transformers Lore (maybe not specifically Aligned lore but I wouldn’t know) called Jungle Planet, which had many different aliases, that had Transformers that took on animal attributes over time.

Maybe the writers wanted to keep on pushing the Decepticons=bad and Autobots=good agenda a bit further by just making the Cons’ Beastformers to label them as “animals instead of people”. And it’s already bad enough if you look at RiD15 as just Transformer copaganda in general.

I dunno. Five minutes into making this post I literally just went to TfWiki and read about IDW’s Jungle Planet, aka Eukaris, and lightly skimmed its lore and it made some sense. Not complete sense—some sense.

But that still doesn’t excuse why the Alchemor ONLY carried Beatsformers. Or was at least 90% Beastformers, I did see a few Vehicons—BUT MY POINT STILL STANDS! >:[

I haven't been posting much here lately, and I'm hoping maybe? I might start trying to fix that?

Honestly, I've been burnt out, in general & with the animals. We lost the hamster a few months ago. We've lost three rats in the past couple months. We euthanized Clover hedgie a couple weeks ago after she had a probable stroke.

We're down to 11 rats right now, and 6 of those are over 2 years or close to 2. I wouldn't be surprised if we're down to just the 4 most recent babies by the end of this year. They're only 10 months at the moment.

We're not planning to continue the mischief at the moment - we're going to take a break after this group, take the cage apart for a full power wash, fix it up more permanently, and start a new mischief of males when we're ready to go again. We'll be keeping fewer as well - absolutely under 10 and probably closer to 5-6.

No new hamsters or hedgehogs planned for right now. We will again at some point, but for now... break. I'm dismantling the hedgehog viv & it's going to go in storage for a while. Planning to turn that shelf into a space for growing plants for Ed & the other critters, and to keep feeder bugs for Ed & Spoon.

Hoping fewer animals for a while will give my brain & heart some space to breathe, as well as help a bit with money. Aside from the rats, we have the 3 dogs, 4 cats, Charis, Spoon, Ed, and the hermit crabs. Hoping to focus more attention on all of them with fewer animals & enclosures to keep up with.

Adding to the current small animal stress, Phoebe has been having an allergic reaction to something for a month or two now, and we're still trying to figure that out. Have some ideas to try & really hoping to avoid super expensive food, but we'll see.

The dogs are mostly doing fine but Spring's mouth is starting to smell bad again, which means he needs to go in for a dental again soon. Emma needs to go in as well for nail trim.

Also hoping to get Spoon and Charis both in for wellness checks this year - neither have gone to the vet for too long. We found our old exotic vet again that me and Jack both really liked, though they're more expensive than our current one. But I think it'll be fine with the decrease in animals.

Anyway.... that's what's been going on here & I'm hoping to post more as I try to get re-engaged with the animals.
