dillydallying in #königsteinimtaunus today in search for richard neutra's 'haus rang' (which was so absolutely off-kilter and completely hidden, that it's almost a shame...) a little bit disappointed after having to sneak through thick underbrush to get just the tiniest glimpse, i went to explore other parts of königstein and got treated with different kinds of architectural nourishment. the house of congress (hans busch, 1955) was one of the delicious meals and also the spa (rudolf & ingeborg geier and the ever amazing otto herbert hajek - who i know from his work on wiesbaden's very own st. mauritius church, 1977). inbetween were some other delights like the medieval city core and the spa park (and i should probably climbed up to the castle, too, but wasn't much feeling it today). so... while i didn't get to immerse myself into more neutra territory, i had an otherwise lovely walk ❤️ i still want to check on haus rang again, i hope it's at least open for memorial day sometime in the future... it looked completely uninhabited, though, which was kind of exciting, but also kinda sad? this house shouldn't be! someone rent it to me 😢 oh, and yeah, i could technically shoot your band's promo pictures 😎😜 #architecture #midcenturymodern #postmodernism #ottoherberthajek #colourblocking #brutalism #overgrowth #hausderbegegnungkönigstein #kurbadkönigstein #selfportraits (hier: Königstein im Taunus) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_vPHuyH1jy/?igshid=x1yalgxrjro
