  🕸 ) —- Four of them arrive at her feet now, prompt for a twinge of unease. Perhaps not because she thinks she sees threats before her; perhaps simply due to the fact that this is a lot of people--- children to deal with at once. A particular focus would be granted to the child donning the eyepatch - however, the rugged one. She senses no true warrior, not bred of Hallownest’s like at least, but she can’t help but find herself amused, if not a little bitter inside. 

  Would he make for an apprentice? Training? Or be he little more than one other pretender in an ocean of them?

Snapping from her thoughts, she realizes they still await something of her. & so she hurries to deliver, more than eager to see them off.

For the rugged pretender-warrior: a sliver half of a fallen bug’s mask; small horns protruding on it’s top with even smaller “ mandibles “ lining the bottom. Even if he did nothing with it, it would still serve a better use to him & lighten her load a bit more.

For the taller of the group: an indecipherable journal, lost in a language not native to the Kingdom & likely lost on the children as well. It’s bottom is dulled, visibly warped - as though hit repeatedly against a rough surface, & the light substance staining it’s side would indeed be Soul. -- Relatively fresh.

For the one sporting crimson horns: a small cloth coinpurse; heavy of sand, used to con ignorant bugs for their Geo. That’s it.

& for the bespectacled one: an earned squint, for they’ve been standing there, offending her nostrils with their presence. ---- Oh, & the carapace of a bug she’d consumed hours earlier. It’s still got the legs attached! --They have teeth marks.

Honestly I think they’re legally obligated to. They love Daniel!!!!! But they are children and its just SO easy. It’s always just harmless shit but every time Daniel passes it and sees it was changed he just sighs heavily and excuses himself to fix it. Sometimes three or four times a day before the kids decide to give this poor man a mcfucken BREAK.............

Summer Camp. His parents claimed he needed more ‘outdoor activity’ in his life- and while he understood why they thought so, he was active. Just not anywhere he could tell anyone about. Some summer camp that reminded his folks of boy scouts seemed like a great idea. Plus, if it did turn out to be like boy scouts, he’d learn some skills he could put to use in Chalkzone. Snap could handle keeping Chalkzone safe for a couple months this summer, right?

Stepping off the camp’s bus, he quickly spotted how militaristic it looked. Maybe it was just an aesthetic? Either way, he was here for the summer now- however it turned out to be.

(  Hella basic. Rob has never really been particularly picky with his clothing (his father couldn’t really afford to get him much), and he mostly picks something that is comfortable and looks nice enough. While he mostly sticks with the classic t-shirt + shorts combo, he’s considered going for a more edgy style (get it? cus he’s polygonal- I’ll see myself out.)  and he’s perfectly cool with wearing stuff like boots, jackets or hoodies with dark colors if he feels comfortable enough. )

    But the other was clearly DESPERATE. Nothing else spoke it quite like the insistence that this program was ‘ always seeking brilliant minds, ‘ --- doubling as a boost of ego; & it was no surprise, either. Thus, INSTEAD of shooing him away automatically, the polite nature of the other would be mirrored -- it’s the least he could do for the poor soul.

Speaking of that ‘former Woodscout’ status he carried...

Deep sigh. “I can’t believe I’m actually saying this despite all the hell your camp put me through...”

“...but... your boot camp masquerading as a real camp actually taught me skills I ended up needing...” He really hates how militant the Woodscouts are, but he did end up using the skills. So, credit where credit was due. He owed at least this much to Pikeman.
