whenever i see that "we need to stop demonizing and mistreating men/men can have feelings" type genre of post and one of the points is "men can have personality disorders too" i have to laugh a little... sorry but i do not think the phenomenon of women being labeled with more personality disorders than men is a good argument for men being stigmatized or medically mistreated

I think this blog had the potential to be a fun thing for people to participate in but is now mainly a breeding ground for hate.
One person tries to do a good fun thing and all these people just kind of ruined it. It’s your blog and of course run it the way you’d like but I would just like to request you stop using certain hashtags when the confession is hate targeted toward those specific people of the fandom.
Black butler has always had a very toxic fan base but it was easy to block it out when it didn’t show up under specific hashtags.
i didnt think of that,, i was just tryna sort my blog but ig youre right
i tried to keep it nice but then opinions are posted and its hard to keep spaces nice when theres contradicting opinions
as much as i dont want to, i may have to shut down this blog to avoid further stress/controversy. if it keeps going and people keep being mean in my inbox instead of dealing w things personally ill either turn off anons(which feels stupid for a confessions blog) or just turn off asks :(

Do you have any more info on what Nessa did? Everyone keeps talking about her but I haven’t been able to work out why everyone hates her
I don't knoe of there's any recent ones but I know some like 2021 or earlier. I put some things in () that I have heard of but personally have not seen screenshots/other evidence to support them
Tl;dr: people think that she is going too far with her fanhood and even trying to befriend dancers (usually minors and even minis/juniors), especially given the behaviour she has shown before with minors.
- generally she becomes kinda obsessed with dancers, esp. Larkin (both in MN), she goes to comps, opts to be a room monitor to see them, has visited Larkin, I think she's said that she has assisted a stretch class there – all this considering her only tie to this is being a fanpage on social media
- well the Sav K thing, she was pretty obsessed with her and got a phone case and a shirt with her picture. (haven't seen evidence: I heard that she found out her address at some point)
- apparently she used to talk to kids about her sh and k*lling herself in dms (don't remember seeing evidence: threatened dancers like "I'll k*ll myself if you don't follow")
- made some joke/comment like "do you think [popular male teen dancer] m*sturbates"

- this is kinda confusing to explain bc I don't remember all details but apparently Ellie W bullied her in a stream (idk) and she has brought it up many times when talking about Ellie's controversial things, but if anyone else brings it up (not even with her name, just saying "Ellie bullied a fan once") she'd say that they have moved on from that. Maybe this is not problematic but which one is it?
My personal experience with her (apart from the Ellie thing): When I used to have an ig page, I posted something (don't remember what, potentially related to BTF) and she like freaked out at me like "delete this, this dancer and her mom might see this and be upset" like girl? I didn't even mention any specific dancer on the post, that dancer was not tagged, they didn't follow me, I wasn't a very big account and didn't use hashtags

UPDATE: Thanks to one of my mutuals, found this drawing is still in the results for other IG accounts! And for users without an account. It’s just blocked on my end. Maybe my hashtags got hijacked by bot/spam accounts so IG shadowbanned this as damage control. Or IG just has a glitch I can do nothing about.
Still mad about my Emily Windsnap fanart getting shadow-banned. For some reason this drawing won’t show in any Instagram search results. Despite not violating any Community Guidelines. Why? Does this go against their Recommendations Guidelines? Because I drew a pregnant woman? Is human pregnancy really “upsetting, offensive, or sensitive”? It’s not like I drew Mary P. giving birth. I know showing pregnant women in media used to be controversial but… I’ll be disappointed if people still think that now. Keep in mind , I didn’t receive any “Community Guidelines” warning while posting this. Also I’m well aware of this site’s double standard censoring only female nudity. Not surprised if Instagram has a similar policy with depicting female bodies. Social media is just very weird about women.

You sang, you laughed, you heard a pretty moving story about a girl in Kenya, and you sat through some semi-boring speeches—then you finally got to see Shawn Mendes perform live and you definitely made your followers jealous by posting it on IG Stories, Snapchat AND TikTok.
That concert you attended wasn’t a concert at all—not in the traditional sense, anyway. It was a youth rally called WE Day. The price of admission: a few acts of goodwill and volunteering projects you did with your classmates (and the permission slip from your parents).
WE Day, an event that many Canadians have either heard about, watched on television (CTV was a media partner) or online, or have even attended or sent their children to, is the flagship event hosted by Toronto-based WE Charity. It’s held in more than 15 cities across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom, features star-studded performances and motivational speeches from the likes of Selena Gomez, Malala Yousafzai, Nelly Furtado and Justin Trudeau (both as a private citizen and as prime minister) and has been attended by 1 million young people to date.
WE Charity calls WE Day “the greatest celebration of social good”; it’s also been the cornerstone to the organization’s meteoric rise to international fame and strong standing in the humanitarian, entertainment and corporate communities. And, lately, it’s been central in national media coverage about questionable practices that the organization has taken in its quest to change the world.
The charity has been under increasing scrutiny over the past month for having accepted a sole-sourced contract from the federal government that would have seen them distribute nearly $1 billion worth of summer student volunteer grants, sparking the hashtag #WeHaveAProblem. The deal fell through after WE pulled out amid ethics concerns that the Trudeau family has longstanding ties to the charity. In addition to Justin Trudeau’s participation with WE Day, it was revealed that WE paid Margaret Trudeau (Justin’s mother) and Alexandre Trudeau (Justin’s brother) between $250,000 and $320,000 each for their speeches at events. Ah, the ever-elusive Instagram engagement rate...
Instagram can still be the sweetheart it once used to be...but only if you give it what it wants 💜.
Here are my top 6 strategies to increase your engagement rate.
Discover Your Best Time to Post
Posting when your audience is most active is a quick and easy win. The easiest way to find out is to click on your profile>insights>followers.
Start CONVERSATIONS with stories stickers
A great way to increase engagement is to create conversations. It is a sure-fire way to gain more trust and authority on the platform.
Encourage your followers to engage by using the question, slide to reach, and poll. And get specific. For example, if creating a poll of "Have you had breakfast yet", avoid using "Yes" or "No" as the options but instead use "Hell Yeah!" or "Can You Suggest". This creates an opportunity to DM your follower.
Discuss controversial topics
This can be really tricky as you don't want to show a stance that could affect yourself. But instead, ask your followers to share their opinion on a particular topic.
Go live with a similar account (preferably not a competitor)
Ever notice you get a notification whenever someone is live on IG? Also, I'd encourage you to invite your followers to join in the chat for some questions or just to say hi. IG will notify their followers as well that this particular person is live now.
Experiment with different post types
Instagram account can get a bit "stale". It doesn't excite their followers anymore as it's soo predictable.
Engage with other accounts
@thestevenmellor posted about the 10x2 method. If you haven't heard of it, basically:
Engage with 10 hashtags of your niche and 10 similar accounts of yours - leave 2 forms of engagement on their page (stories, comments or answering others comments).

Megan Thee Stallion is clapping back at haters who have something to say about her recent activities after being shot.
On Wednesday (Aug 19) the “Captain Hook” rapper took to Instagram in a since-deleted post and shared a post-op picture of herself in the doctor’s office during a check-up in response to trolls claiming she embellished about being shot.
In the caption, Megan details how the bullet actually penetrated her foot before noting that she was shot “from the back” while “walking away.”

So seeing that i never really admit my problems i tend to write my facts on paper but never all in the same breath or at the sametime, ill let my guard down for this second cause i simply need to clear my mind
Dear Tumblr,
I apologize that i have returned in a moments notice and i know I've been gone for a while. A bunch of controversial drafted post sitting in my file to never see the light of day and fears....excuses as to why i stuck with you so long. I remember when you were as private as a joke carved into a bathroom stall door, now your like the gossip newsletter flying around campus streets. I got dicouraged, knowing i was writing what I considered at the time "blue magic" and my product wasn't reaching the customers in mass quantity.
Lately i have been soul searchimg and quite frankly I didn't find what i was looking for from the moment i left, but i confide in you cause beneath the codes and backgrounds of what you are and the freedom I believe you give me, i feel as if though i have the power to make my stream line of data you keep my world. Ive changed in so many ways and have yet to dound a way to be satisfied by you, so like a battered relationship i guess for now I'll stick with you cause you and I are misunderstood and "I know you love me... i know you do <movie quote "

I have been wasting my time with females that i deemed to be a fit for me, just to be dissapointed at the end that they be on some bullshit.
I had a beautiful daughter that i don't have the honor nor the pleasure to be around, because we live in different places and I dedicate my life and time to working and making sure she has a future when she grows up and its not possible where she currently resides. Upon visits their always arguments and fucking ridicule from family begging me to sink everything thats for my daughter down the drain and restart because the memories are more important.
My daughters mother i love with all My heart and never thought I'll see the day we gotta be like this... madd some decisions that wasnt keen as to why we are where we are...on top of the fact that its been years now and forgiveness lesson i still haven't learned. I've told this woman my greatest fears of never wanting my daughter to wake up without me there and etc... and its not easy scraping the plate completely fucking clean to someone who ACCIDENTALLY made you live out that nightmare
So.....suicide would be pointless and selfish now cause you dont live for you cause the moment i seen my daughter and she seen me...I've glady destroyed my world and soley been working to build hers...cause despite the situation im first and foremost a fucking proud parent.

Google face recognizing this mf been in multiple pics with you, that you took a shit in this Macy's and their reviews are 4.5, or you spent the weekend in Birmingham's motel 6 and you didn't state how you like your stay.... so due to the confusion i just state needless to say something thats so near and dear to me i don't post, comment, hashtag on cause the world doesn't need to join in that aspect of my life right now. what im going to say is probably going to sound rly controversial to a lot of you cause a lot of you are from my ig and a lot of you know me from there but im rly starting to believe in MANY cases social media just gets in the way of real tangible activism. I feel like by being a Tumblr/instagram activist and dedicating too much time to both apps (which I use to do a looot so i’m pretty much also talking about myself here) you end up fooling yourself whether consciously or subconsciously into thinking that thats enough that reposting the hashtag BLM is enough or refugees welcome or whatever is enough you’re too focused on your ‘online life’ basically to the point that a lot of the time you end up forgetting real offline life and the fact these hashtags and posts and whatnot only really matter if you take an ACTIVE stance on those beliefs you are promoting online because the reason you're promoting those beliefs online is literally just so MORE people actively fight for them, reposting a ‘refugee welcome’ post for example is meaningless if you dont actively fight for refugees. Whether its by fighting your gov for refugees to be let in by protesting, emailing your government officials, petitioning, raising money for refugees etc... etc.. its not because you took care (if thats the right way to put it) of your ‘online life’ basically that that’s enough you also have to care about real offline life but with how connected we are to our online life I do genuinely genuinely think (again whether subconciously or not) that we also forgot about real outside life. We’re just so plugged in that we’re disconnected. And,besides, y’know, you dont rly need to constantly post about your activism not that that doesn't have an upside a lot of the time it can be positive but I think the truth of the matter is that a lot of the time ppl who post a lot about their activism are more concerned about their image than the actual protesting they took part in theyre more focused on taking good selfies of themselves good photos of people marching y’know just use real life to enhance their online life basically I think online activism causes our activism a lot of the time to be superficial and thats why its important to sometimes take a step back from ig and Tumblr and all that and hang out with Syrians, Iraqis, Palestinian, black people etc.. irl and actually try to ACTIVELY understand their struggles because behind a screen some conversation and actions just become a lot less meaningful. dk if im explaining this well but

A revealing cluster of emails reviewed by Business Insider and Channel 4 News offers a glimpse at the fairly chaotic process of how Facebook decides which content crosses the line. In this instance, a group of executives at Facebook went hands-on in determining if an Instagram post by the conspiracy theorist Alex Jones violated the platform’s community standards.
To make that determination, 20 Facebook and Instagram executives hashed it out over the Jones post, which depicted a mural known as “False Profits” by the artist Mear One. Facebook began debating the post after it was flagged by Business Insider for kicking up anti-Semitic comments on Wednesday.
The company removed 23 of 500 comments on the post that it interpreted to be in clear violation of Facebook policy. Later in the conversation, some of the U.K.-based Instagram and Facebook executives on the email provided more context for their U.S.-based peers.
Last year, a controversy over the same painting erupted when British politician Jeremy Corbyn argued in support of the mural’s creator after the art was removed from a wall in East London due to what many believed to be anti-Semitic overtones. Because of that, the image and its context are likely better known in the U.K., a fact that came up in Facebook’s discussion over how to handle the Jones post.
“This image is widely acknowledged to be anti-Semitic and is a famous image in the U.K. due to public controversy around it,” one executive said. “If we go back and say it does not violate we will be in for a lot criticism.”
Ultimately, after some back and forth, the post was removed.
According to the emails, Alex Jones’ Instagram account “does not currently violate [the rules]” as “an IG account has to have at least 30% of content violating at any given time as per our regular guidelines.” That fact might prove puzzling once you know that Alex Jones got his main account booted off Facebook itself in 2018 — and the company did another sweep for Jones-linked pages last month.
Whether you agree with Facebook’s content moderation decisions or not, it’s impossible to argue that they are consistently enforced. In the latest example, the company argued over a single depiction of a controversial image even as the same image is literally for sale by the artist elsewhere on both Instagram and Facebook. (As any Facebook reporter can attest, these inconsistencies will probably be resolved shortly after this story goes live.)
The artist himself sells its likeness on a t-shirt on both Instagram and Facebook and numerous depictions of the same image appear on various hashtags. And even after the post was taken down, Jones displayed it prominently in his Instagram story, declaring that the image “is just about monopoly men and the class struggle” and decrying Facebook’s “crazy-level censorship.”
It’s clear that even as Facebook attempts to make strides, its approach to content moderation remains reactive, haphazard and probably too deeply preoccupied with public perception. Some cases of controversial content are escalated all the way to the top while others languish, undetected. Where the line is drawn isn’t particularly clear. And even when high-profile violations are determined, it’s not apparent that those case studies meaningfully trickle down to clarify smaller, everyday decisions by content moderators on Facebook’s lower rungs.
As always, the squeaky wheel gets the grease — but two billion users and reactive rather than proactive policy enforcement means there’s an endless sea of ungreased wheels drifting around. This problem isn’t unique to Facebook, but given its scope, it does make the biggest case study in what can go wrong when a platform scales wildly with little regard for the consequences.
Unfortunately for Facebook, it’s yet another lose-lose situation of its own making. During its intense, extended growth spurt, Facebook allowed all kinds of potentially controversial and dangerous content to flourish for years. Now, when the company abruptly cracks down on accounts that violate its longstanding policies forbidding hate speech, divisive figures like Alex Jones can cry censorship, roiling hundreds of thousands of followers in the process.
Like other tech companies, Facebook is now paying mightily for the worry-free years it enjoyed before coming under intense scrutiny for the toxic side effects of all that growth. And until Facebook develops a more uniform interpretation of its own community standards — one the company enforces from the bottom up rather than the top down — it’s going to keep taking heat on all sides.

“We want people to be able to express themselves freely on our platforms, but we also want to make sure that hate speech comes down. That is why we have public rules about what is and isn’t allowed on Facebook and Instagram. As this exchange shows, deciding what content stays up and who can use our platforms is one of the hardest decisions we have to make as a company and it’s sensible that we take the time to get it right.”
