I have!!!! (ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ.ﾟI'm so happy to see many twst characters on the ranking, but omg to see that Skully got second place!?!?!?! He even surpassed Gojo,,,, (°ロ°) his appeal is just too strong. He's the perfect, ideal guy!!!! A gentleman who will gently kiss your hand, who will escort you so politely, but he's also unexpectedly full of yandere potential and he has a temper!!! The soggy puppy energy is too cute,,, >w< he's very precious and deserves to be so high in the rankings!!!!

We had so much written about this very topic! Malleus would be so thrilled and desperate when he realizes his dearest friend is also his sibling. Especially knowing that Yuu is stuck in a human form.

I copied a link from the most recent of the reblogs here for all the details @harzilla and I have been building on!:

And to build off of what @harzilla said about Malleus wanting to make an idyllic dreamworld of only happy fantasies and contentment, it would only end poorly.

Because from what we’ve seen in Floyd’s dreamworld, they’re all built on what Malleus thinks people want but he struggles to fully understand others. So Floyd is left miserably swimming in circles in the ocean because getting everything he wants handed to him on a platter is boring and he wants to experience struggle along with success. And Malleus is managing hundreds of thousands of dreams, so some are more hastily constructed than not I imagine.

And even if Malleus pours everything into Yuu’s dream, it is slated to fail because their biggest wish is to return home to their adopted family. But Malleus only focuses on the family portion, unable to even think of losing Yuu to another world and weaves a story of the twin prides of the Draconia family, never separated as eggs and having both their parents, grandmother, and Lilia in their lives. And while it would be a beautiful dream, full of childhood joy, playing, and spending time together, it crumbles apart so easily because Yuu knows something is missing in this fantasy, wanting their whole family there too, who Malleus knows nothing about save for the details Yuu has shared overtime.

How heartbreaking to Malleus, to have his own sibling deny him, to want these other people more than him and the dreams he can concoct for them. That Yuu wants to be stuck in a fickle mortal body and could die and leave Malleus even more alone.

Also the thought of Crowley as Levan makes this whole scenario all the sadder too, because Crowley is probably one of the few adult presences Yuu has since arriving in Twisted Wonderland. Crowley employs Yuu and makes them work for their keep, but he is generous in his own ways too, and something about the wish to see Yuu happy makes him confused, unable to recall the desperation to save his unhatched child and hope that the future will work out.

Something beautifully tragic in all that for sure.

The romance for the lost Sibling Au was funny, but now I'm thinking about how happy Malleus would be to find how he has a sibling.

I think he would absolutely be thrilled! He's lived a long and lonely life. The lost sibling AU I have the reader in the place of Yuu/MC so imagine Malleus finding out that the one person who he has built a genuine friendship with is his own actual sibling. I imagine it also brings him some relief because he has somebody who he can spend his long life with it.

Now I actually reblogged back and forth and talked in post comments with @achromaticbibliophile about how this news would affect Malleus during his overblot. Like the memories revealing two eggs instead of of just one and the clues falling into place and they figure out the truth. But we both pretty much though that it would cause him to be absolutely hellbent on Yuu staying with him until he found a way to break whatever is keeping Yuu stuck as a human. Even if it means keeping Yuu in an idyllic dream world where they never lost their parents and grew up with them, their grandmother, and Lilia. What's another one or two thousand years of sleep if it means nobody would keep them apart ever again?

So like in the aus linked above Sapphire was born in the twst world but was taken to a non magical world before going back to the twst world in yuu's place so in this au ig? I decided to make Azul's step father a colossal squid so that I could have Azul and Sapphire be half siblings while having Sapphire be a colossal choice probably wouldn't have made this choice if I hadn't seen the return home au also using ideas shared in that au I liked the idea of the kids not bullying Azul until yuu (sapphire in this case) went missing because the kids thought they were big and scary now I decided to make Sapphire younger than Azul bc I wanted big brother Azul also Sapphire's mer form was sealed a way after leaving twst

Expanding on the idea. I want to thank @achromaticbibliophile for a lot of these ideas

Riddle and Yuu growing up in complete opposite lives. Riddle under strict parentage while Yuu grows up in a family similar to the Robinson's in Meet the Robinson's. A chaotic but loving family that sees failure not as a bad thing, but as a way to learn. Who finds a baby on their doorstep and adopts without hesitation. The two butting heads at first. Until the truth of Yuu being Riddle's sibling is revealed. Perhaps Yuu's hair is platinum blonde or even white. Perhaps Riddle is the Red Queen to Yuu's White Queen. Riddle who is introduced to Yuu's adopted family and it's all so chaotic, dinner nearly a food fight and afterwards he's brought into the kitchen to help make the dessert. Messing it up and he thinks it'll be another oyster sauce incident. But instead everybody cheers and ohh. It's actually okay. Yuu and him sharing the story of him messing up the tart after his overblot The family turns it into a silly joke. The dessert is missing something, why not oyster sauce? The family, having a contest to see who can create the weirdest dessert, and Riddle winning by making a traditional Queendom of Roses star gazey pie. Riddle, who finds himself laughing along with the rest of the family. Welcome to the family Riddle.

Leona, who has always been the unfavored. Who is brought to meet Yuu's adoptive parents. Leona, who had to convince Falena not to come but instead sends a note thanking the parents for raising the third Kingscholar child. Yuu's parents shocked to see their lost child come home sporting ears and a tail and bringing home a brother. Leona, who finds himself at ease when they ask him about his aspirations, his plans for the future, he's just Leona to them.

Jade and Floyd. Who grew up with a mother who was always worried about them. Eventually learning about a third eelver who was lost to the tides. One day a kid runs up to their parents with a baby wrapped in a towel. The adults panic but the couple eventually adopt the child. Yuu who doesn't have a clue until the day they go to the coral sea to retrieve the photo and transform into an eel mer. Jade immediately separating Yuu and bombarding them with questions while Floyd keeps the others away. Jade and Floyd who drag Yuu back to NRC.

Rollo, who hates magic. Magic lost him not one but two siblings. Rollo, who plans to rid the world of magic. The masquerade invitation to NRC. Rollo, who is shocked when the previously uninvited Prefect looks strikingly similar to himself and his deceased brother. Perhaps he sees Yuu as an even bigger motivator for his plans. Magic took his siblings from him, and if he destroys it, then magic can never take Yuu from him again. Yuu who at the end tells him that yes, magic may have separated them but magic also brought them back together and perhaps magic may allow him to see the world they grew up in.

Malleus' was expanded on a lot and is practically a fanfic in onto itself.

The Spade family, a set of baby paternal twins. One that looks like their father, and the other who looks like their mother Dilla. The parents separate after a particularly nasty divorce. Only for the baby with dad to disappear after their father is attacked and injured. The parents, but especially Dilla spend years mourning the loss of one child. One day, Deuce overhears his mom on the phone crying to his grandmother because she's afraid something will happen to Deuce if he doesn't get on the right path. She's already mourned one child. She can't bare to mourn another. That day Deuce decides to turn his life around, he never wants to see his mom cry like that again.

Deuce who becomes friends with the prefect. They're like peas in a pod. They're each other's biggest supporters. The day they go to the White Rabbit festival and Deuce introduces his mom to Yuu, she's shocked because this child is practically the spitting image of her ex-husband when he was that young, even down to the same hair color. She doesn't want to get her hopes up but could it be?

I really don’t understand people who breast feed past the age of two. Teeth start growing in at about age 1 or so. You baby ain’t no baby no more. If they got a full mouth of teeth, it’s probably a good time to get them off the booby.

is there even a nurtitional advantage to it past the age of two? I don't know, but yeah she was, clearly not comfortable. She had to keep telling her to slow down or not be so hard and I just... I don't know anymore, man.

After commenting with @harzilla via another post of their Lost Sibling au, I wanted to throw in my two cents about some of the family dynamics Yuu could have depending on the different sibling they have. And how both biological and adopted families can meet/interact when magic can finally find a way between the two worlds.

Because, even when Yuu learns Twisted Wonderland is their homeland and they have family and even a twin (and of course making friends, a life, and possibly a boyfriend) they still long for the home they always knew and the family there as well.

Riddle Roseheart

My immediate thought was Yuu having a family very much like the dynamic of Meet the Robinsons. Just this chaotic, warm, loving family of both blood and choice that didn’t hesitate adopting a baby found on their doorstep. Yuu’s upbringing is Riddle’s antithesis: Riddle grew up believing that failure was the worst possible outcome and Yuu’s family motto is very much “From failure you learn, from success not so much.”

It all leads to the two butting heads quickly upon meeting, Yuu baffled by the ridiculousness of the Queen of Hearts rules and how strict punishments are as a result while Riddle can’t fathom how uncaring Yuu is to things.

But eventually, when Riddle meets Yuu’s adopted family there is no hesitation whatsoever from them into welcoming Riddle into their fold. He’s treated like part of the family already, his plate heaped with food at dinner and a homemade dessert for everyone to share.

They even teach him the recipe and if he thought the near food fight at dinner was crazy, the kitchen is a madhouse of chatter, banter, and “measure with your heart” kind of recipes. When his initial attempt comes out wonky, Riddle feels like it’s the oyster sauce all over again only to be met with:

“You failed!” *cheers*

And suddenly he’s laughing with the rest of them and sharing his tart mishap and the whole family is now competing to make the most ridiculous dessert.

Riddle doesn’t know it, but he’s family now, even without him and Yuu being twins. And when they find out about Mrs. Rosehearts, they’ll slap adoption papers in front of him, no questions asked.

Leona Kingscholar

Perhaps a childless couple who, upon finding a baby on their property, don’t look gift-horses in the mouth and love their new baby without hesitation. Even if the mother’s cat allergy is always acting up for some odd reason that isn’t explained. That is until Yuu finally returns home with beastman ears and a tail and a twin in tow, along with papers from the Kingscholar royal family expressing huge gratitude for raising the long lost third heir. (It took ages for Falena to be convinced not to come too, just keep it small for ice breakers. Leona really would have just shut down if his older brother came too).

Leona, already the least favored child, the spare heir who was tossed aside completely when his nephew was born, had a complex before Yuu was revealed to be his twin missing since shortly after birth. Even thought they’ve since gotten closer after the reveal, he’s understandably on edge going to meet Yuu’s adopted family out of fear of comparisons.

Except for confusion and surprise by both the fact he’s a beastman (unheard of here) and nearly identical to Yuu, their parents take it in stride. They don’t care Leona is a prince beyond worrying the meatloaf dinner might not be up to his standards, let alone the fact he got passed over for the throne. They ask him about his interests, his goals for the future, and he isn’t on edge once during the meal, where he’s treated as just Leona without the Kingscholar name attached.

Also it was definitely Yuu, after their beastman form was revealed, who got jumped by Cheeka in the infirmary, which is a story Leona shares with a grin much to Yuu’s embarrassment. Of course the fact Cheeka innocently asking when he got another oji-tan and the political chaos that followed is a story for another time.

Malleus Draconia

Based on a comment that suggested that, even sealed in a human form, Yuu could have aged at the same pace as Malleus and that brings to mind a bittersweet scenario.

Imagine being Yuu, raised for generations by a single family as a foundling child. How their family fretted when they didn’t grow as fast but didn’t care as long as Yuu was healthy, clever, and loved. Their siblings are now grandparents while they look like a teenager still, their adopted parents passing on when they seemed to barely be in their double digits. They’ve been the little ring bearer/flower child to some siblings’ weddings, present for the birth of their nibblings, and even babysit their grand-niblings depending on timing.

They are never without love, they do not doubt it from any of their family, but Yuu feels so disconnected too. Feels a grief that cannot be named that their growth is so much slower, how their lifespan is so much longer than their relatives that they’ve had to bury their parents while pretending to be a “grandchild” at the funeral. That they, who were once babied and tended to by an elder sister, now comforts and cares for her in her twilight years.

How they cannot safely interact with most people outside of their family due to the slow aging. How they love and loath the family photo albums in equal measure, able to see the relatives who have passed on again but also how unchanging they themselves are.

Perhaps during their time in Twisted Wonderland, Yuu hopes to find a “cure” to their aging woes so that they do not outlive their loved ones. How easily they connect with Malleus’s worries for the future and already feeling loved ones slipping through his fingers.

Then the discovery it’s not a curse but biological advantage as a fae, even when bound in human form, and that Yuu will never truly be alone because their horns are the same as Malleus’s.

When Yuu is able to return to their family home, they do so accompanied with Malleus who examines the photo albums with misty eyes.

Because oh he can feel the love in those black and white images, in those colored Polaroids, in those digital pictures. Because Yuu was never without family and love and Malleus can happily greet the siblings, nibblings, and grand nibblings who have loved and treasured his twin and help him accept the passing of time, but assure that it does not mean the passing of love.

ohh. Brain rot time.

Long lost sibling AU. Except Yuu is the lost sibling of one of our dear Twst boys. Like through magically shenanigans Yuu is pulled from the twst verse as an infant or toddler(or in Malleus' case an egg) and ends up in a magicless world. The world has no magic so they're forced to fit whatever the constraints of that universe are. So if for example, they were Riddle's sibling. They simply lack magic. But if they were a mer, beastman, or fae, then they not only lack magic but they were forced to become human. Yuu has no memories of twisted wonderland, no memories of their previous life. They only know the life they've lived with their adoptive family. Things like fairies, mermaids, and magic are nothing but fairy tales.

Until the day they woke up in the coffin at NRC. Okay, so turns out magic is actually real! Hey, Yuu's actually handling it okay(I swear game Yuu is extremely mentally stable if they're handling all the shit so well). The mirror, for whatever reason can't accurately read their soul. So they still think they don't have magic and want to go home to their magicless world.

Even if Yuu looks strikingly similar to their sibling, maybe nobody makes the connection because, duh, Yuu is from another world. Like even if Yuu looks like Leona or Azul for example, it must be a coincidence because duh, Yuu is human not a beastman or a mer. Nobody actually figures out Yuu is actually from the twst universe until whatever magic that caused them to be sent to another world as an infant and stripped them of their original identity finally wears off.

Like maybe something triggers it. Maybe fighting their sibling's overblot and saving their life(since an overblot can kill the mage it's attached to) is what triggers the magic to break.

Book two, after Yuu is knocked out by the spell driver disk and wakes up in the infirmary. Everybody is so focused on Leona that they don't notice that Yuu has sprouted a pair of lion ears on their head. Yuu doesn't even notice until they realize that everything is so much LOUDER and why does the room stink of medication so much?

Imagine book 3 and Azul's overblot has been defeated. Everybody's beat up and then Yuu suddenly collapse and they're having trouble breathing. People are panicking and then somebody notices that their skin is starting to change to grey and black and that the seams of their pants are starting to tear because SOMETHING is moving inside Yuu's pants. Maybe it's one of the twins who figures it out and yanks up Yuu's shirt and sees that they're sprouting GILLS on their torso. Poor Yuu is picked up and tossed into one of Octavinelle's tank where they finish transforming and surprise. Yuu almost looks like a carbon copy of Azul in that form. Even their hair changed color to the same shade as his in this form. Like maybe Azul and Yuu were the only two survivors of their clutch, but Yuu was lost or stolen and the lost of one of the only two children they have left was what finally triggered their parent's divorce.

Oh oh. Like imagine with Malleus. Insert shenanigans where Yuu ends up in their world much more down the line so they age at the rate of a human instead of a fae(or maybe they age like a fae but still look like a human so their family thinks they have some kind of medical condition that makes them age slowly, poor Yuu is the big family secret until they're old enough to be on their own). Let's say there's some shenanigans and Yuu and Malleus were twin eggs. The two of them when the eggs are close together they can communicate with each other(maybe if you listened closely you could hear the faint cooing or squeaks of the baby dragons in their eggs as they talk to each other). Yuu's egg is stolen and has just disappeared. Poor Malleus spends so long calling out to his other half, he's just a tiny baby in his egg and he doesn't understand why his sibling won't answer him anymore. Maybe as he grew he always knew something was missing. Even if he wasn't told about his sibling. He just KNOWS somebody should be there. Maybe that's why Yuu in that universe doesn't fear him. Because the both are naturally drawn to each other as their other half. Perhaps Yuu ends up waking up one day with their head hurting because somehow they're sprouting horns and their skin peeling because surprise! They've got scales starting to sprout all over their body.

Maybe book 6 Poor Yuu's hair just suddenly burst into flame when facing Idia's overblot because they're in S.T.Y.X. and there's so many phantoms and so much blot around that it finally overloads their system and triggers the curse to finally manifest in them. Poor Yuu went from a normal haircut to a ball of blue fire for hair.

Imagine going from being an only child or having maybe one other sibling to finding out you're actually Kalim's sibling and oh yeah, You actually have 30 other siblings. Kalim's taking it great and can't wait to introduce Yuu to their long lost family but it might take them a bit longer to process.

Being Riddle's sibling, Yuu might actually feel grateful they ended up in another world if they have decent parents because they're not sure they're ready to face Mrs. Rosehearts when they find out she's their bio mother.

Can y'all see my vision here? So much angst potential but so much comedy potential as well.

The shenanigans from the more emotionally constipated cast trying to navigate this new found relationship. Or trying to figure out how they're going to introduce Yuu to their family.

Then you got ones like Rook. Poor Yuu, hope they're good at learning French.
