I’ve been very hyperfixated on JoJo’s for awhile now, and oh my god, @starry-blue-echoes ‘s AUs have been like finding water in a desert lol

As such, I’ve done some fan art for one of my favorite AUs of theirs, Star Swap! I was originally going to post it once I finished all of the JoJos, but I wanted to put this out there since I’m done with these three for now. Hopefully I can get the rest done soon!

This was fun because not only do I have to figure out how I want to draw Giorno, Jolyne and Josuke, I have to figure out how to draw Joseph, Jonathan and Jotaro, as them! I’m having a lot of fun so far though

Giorno Giovanna Joseph Joestar

First off, I wanted him to have a playful expression on his face, one Giorno wouldn’t be caught dead making lol (at least, not until after years and years of therapy lol-) So Joseph has a big ol’ grin on his face!

I also don’t think that he’d have any fucking clue on how to do Giorno’s hair donuts. He tried, he really did! He just wasn’t strong enough. And I am pretty sure I just stole the ladybug hair clip from this one Haruno Higashikata AU I’ve seen, but it’s also there because of the fact that Joseph’s been buying Giorno a bunch of little presents like said hair clip, and he just so happens to be wearing one of them for himself right now

Another person when drawing for this AU gave them all their original eye colors instead of the eye colors of the body they’re in currently, so I decided to do that too! I do think that most likely in universe the eyes don’t change color, simply because people would probably notice, (tho it is jojo so who knows lol) but it’s still a fun detail! Eyes are the window to the soul, after all, right?

Finally, this is more of a Giorno head canon, but I think due to having a vampire dad he’d probably be on the paler side, and his, idk? Shading color? For his skin, I can’t think of a better word lol, is more of a purple-ish cool tone to add onto this! I know that in canon Giorno doesn’t have any real vampiric features, but I do wonder how Giorno and Joseph would feel being in each other’s bodies due to this. Just, “hm. I feel colder/warmer than usual. Weird.” I also think that Giorno’s the slimmest of the JoJos, but I accidentally made that honor go to Josuke lol

Jolyne Cujoh Jonathan Joestar

I barely have any idea on how Jolyne’s hair works, which means Jona definitely has no clue on how to do his new hair lol. He definitely got some help from Ermes in order to braid his hair. The bangs also look more like how Jona’s does compared to actual Jolyne.

He has a small smile, because he’s very uncomfortable in a woman’s body, though I don’t think I went as fully into “uncomfortable” territory as I could have though. Also I don’t think he’d wear any lipstick like Jolyne. I played with the idea of giving him some lip gloss at least, but even that seemed a little too much.

For a final Jolyne headcanon, I think that due to being from Florida she has a bit of a tan going on. You can even see some tan lines near her clothes! Poor Jonathan, having to be a man from the 1880s stuck in a woman’s body-

Josuke Higashikata Jotaro Kujo

I feel like I remember it once being mentioned that Jotaro would wear his hair in a bun of some kind, so, he has it up in a loose bun kind of style! It’s particularly based on how I think Josuke’s hair would look while down. I think that he actually has some pretty long hair while down lol

4taro gave Josuke!Jotaro some charms that he switched out for Josuke’s normal pins. He’s also wearing his jacket fully open, instead of just the little bit at the top

I think I accidentally made it look like Jotaro has some sort of white lipstick on his upper lip, but it’s actually supposed to be a sort of frowning face lol. It’s just that he’s got that signature part for lower lip lol

Ayo! gotta say, LOVE your Haruno Higashikata AU! got two questions:

1: what role does Gio play in part 4?

2: If nobody's done so already, I must put forth the obligatory question of "what if G. Giovanni & H. Higashikata met?" whether or not D4C rules apply is at your own discretion. I suppose their respective GERs could just revert their own actions (in this case, approaching each other) should they accidentally annihilate each other.

giorno in a lot of the slice of life parts is a lot of:

at least in stories not directly related to him lol

there is an added element of ✨joestar family drama✨ which is the main focus of this au, but during the kira parts gio is investigating but usually w josuke and okuyasu as opposed to jotaro

if this au gio met regular gio i don’t think they would like. hate each other or anything. without rambling abt the changes the broad strokes of the character are still the same (being saved by a mafioso vs being adopted, wanting to fix the drug problem vs wanting to fix the mess dio/the arrows have caused)

they’d be chill if not a little uncomfortable with the differences. this au josuke would be very worried abt regular gio tho

hi could we get more info about ur giorno in morioh au thingy? (also why does giorno think the sky is yellow? am i forgetting something about part4)

the yellow sky thing is from the part 4 anime, i believe its meant to signal that something is wrong in morioh (kira) and isn’t actually yellow in canon, but i like to imagine that morioh residents are Weird and seeing the sky as yellow is only one thing wrong abt them (they still see blue things as blue. but the sky is def yellow)

i guess i’ll just list off some ideas abt this au:

giorno/haruno is still dios son but tomoko def believes that he’s joseph��s. her opinion of that old man is definitely worse in this au

i don’t remember when tonio came to morioh in canon but lets say its a little earlier. anyway the higashikatas go to his restaurant one day and giorno/haruno develops a special interest in italian stuff. he keeps showing up to tonios restaurant until tonio finally agrees to teach him about said italian stuff

tonio gives him the name giorno but also teaches him italian and how to cook. this is the only universe in which giorno can cook

out of the part 4 gang he’s probably closest with (excluding josuke bc thats his bro) koichi and yukako. he’s also sort of friends with shigechi

rohan thinks giorno likes him as a friend. he is wrong.

giorno is only in part 5 to find out information about passione’s arrow. he gets polpo’s arrow in like, three days, but decides to help this bucciarati guy out before he leaves

ive got some other general ideas for the au and i’m working on two comics for it (one with tomoko meeting giorno for the first time, and a version of part 4’s first chapters but with gio in there) but idk when i’ll get those done

ok so. part 5 would generally go the same way, though probably an everyone lives au bc a) giorno would be more experienced in stand fights b) i imagine he would reveal his identity post-part 5 and not during but i want to include a reveal scene w everyone and c) i like everybody in part 5 let them live

i think he'd have more involvement in fights. like maybe being involved in the grateful dead/beach boys fight if only for the joke of "wow giorno we sure are lucky you have a low body temperature" "haha yeah" <- guy who knows he's half vampire

anyway, yeah the relationships are p much the same as well. maybe giorno is a little more sociable or whatever. he'd be comfortable w mista and narancia off the bat bc they're very similar to josuke and okuyasu. fugo too since both josuke and tomoko have anger issues in canon, so giorno probably wouldn't even blink. and im a giotrish friendship truther so they'd probably talk about their shitty dads

im gonna put bruno + abbacchio under a read more since im going to be talking about kira and angelo and like. u remember how those guys are

since giorno helped take down not one but two serial killers with uh. sexual motivations to their crimes i think he internalizes that a bit. and with the bruno licking scene and abbacchio's tea i think he'd be a lot more reticent to trust them. still willing to work with them, but theyre not "friends" for awhile

GE probably punches bruno like the second he licks giorno, just instinctively. toss up as to whether giorno braves the tea or like. calls abbacchio out for being gross
