What has the most angst-ridden ending? this... great question. i am a prolific angst with a happy ending writer but i think probably On the Nature of Healing due to the fact that the fic revolves around death by nature or for an old one Can't Take That Away from Me which is an old newsies fic i wrote based on grief

What has the happiest ending? i like to think Something Found just because it deals so heavily in hope. things will get better as long as their together, and in the end, for the first time in a long time, they are.

Have I received hate? kind of? i have received unsolicited advice and critique, but i don't know if that counts as hate. it is the reason i don't write misfits and magic, though.

Do I write smut? And what kind? write? yes. publish. i'm working up the nerve.

Regulus = Laurens

Why?

They both are from wealthy/well known families (the blacks and the Laurenses)

They both know French

They both died prematurely for their cause

James = Hamilton

Why?

They both fell in love w a man(/boy) first

Then they had a wife

Then they died while leaving a small child behind (Harry / Philip the second)

They both survived the cause their lover died for

NOW

James and Regulus were a thing in their Hogwarts years, being all lovey-dovey and then Regulus died (idk if he got to finish Hogwarts)

Hamilton and Laurens were a thing during the war, being brain-deep in love and then Laurens died after the war was technically over

Both James and Hamilton lost their lovers

Then they found their wife's (Lily / Eliza). And then, they were married and then died because of the ""betrayal"" (burr didn't betray hamilton but for lack of a better word imma just call it that) of a friend (Burr / Peter) (yes I'm reaching here rn let me) and left their wives and little children behind to fend for themselves (Lily died only minutes after but STILL MY POINT STANDS) (Philip 2 was about 1/2 when his dad died).

So.

In conclusion.

Jegulus is Lams reincarnated and it wouldn't be too much of a reach to write a fanfiction about that.

Currently, Percy Jackson! I tend to be pretty one fandom at a time, but in the past I've written for Hamilton, Harry Potter, and Marvel to name a few.

Yes! I'm a huge believe in fandom as a community, and fanfiction as an avenue for that community vs just 'content'. I love answering questions and talking about the fics, and I've honestly made some amazing fandom friends in comments on fics. I think commenting is a really valuable part of community-building in fandom, and I think that replying to comments helps with that :)

6. What's the fic you wrote that has the angstiest ending?

I think this is all a matter of perspective, but I definitely have a few that are regarded as angsty even if I don't necessarily see them that way? Picking one, I might have to say See The Beast You've Made of Me.

7. What's the fic you wrote that has the happiest ending?

This is harder to answer lol, a lot of my happier fics are more moments, rather than a having an ending with build-up. But, Love Has A Way To Find Ya (Sneaks Up Right Behind Ya) is the first one that comes to mind!

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I have actually been very fortunate in this regard! I've had a few negative comments for sure, but most are more along the lines of "stopping reading here" or just poorly worded. I have several fics I've been more worried about, but locking the fics has seemed to discourage anyone who wants to be senselessly cruel! A lot of what I write isn't to everyone's taste, so some less than perfect comments come with that territory.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I absolutely have lmao. I haven't been in the mood for it recently, but I have my fair share. As for what kind, it depends on the ship and dynamic, and how seriously I'm treating it lol. I've written daddy kink to casual pegging to sweet losses of virginity.

10. Do you write crossovers?

Not really? I have a few ideas that have broached crossover territory, but I don't make a habit or it!

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yes, though not recently. I'm sure there's a lot more out there in all honesty, but I've only stumbled across it once or twice on random websites when I've had the thought to google my username.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes! I've been fortunate to have a couple translated, and it's always the most amazing feeling ever.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes, I've co-written quite a few! I've done round-robins as well as more formal collabs where both authors are working together and writing together throughout the process. I really enjoy doing them and have written some of my favorite fics with others! They're definitely challenging, but I think I have the benefit of being pretty adaptable.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

So one thing you need to know about me is that I'm really bad at favorites. I think my favorite canon ship amongst my fandoms would be Percabeth, but my favorite ship for reading fanfiction for would, historically, be Tomarry/Harrymort/whatever you want to call it.

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but don't think you ever will?

I am actively determined to finish the ones first coming to mind, but honestly the one I doubt I'll ever do anything with is the AU lovingly referred to as Percy French Whore lmfao

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think my adaptability is my greatest strength. I definitely have themes and patterns I fall into, but overall I try to keep an open-mind to ships, aus, and more. I've gone back and forth between past and present tense, I've written over 25 ships for PJO alone. There's very little I look at and think I can't write, even if it takes some time to come around to it/make it work for me.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I think my biggest weaknesses have to do with managing a story as a whole. I have these grand ideas, but I struggle to bring them to Completeness. I'll have dreams of showing a realistic development of a character from the one we know and love to something twisted and taken advantage of and miss a few beats, and drop a few characters and plot points along the way. I'm also not the best at worldbuilding. I'm a pretty low-context type of person, and it's highlighted in a fanfction type of environment. I'll get questions about worldbuilding in fics--and they'll be GOOD questions--and I'll sit there with my head tilted at the screen wondering why anyone would think of that 😭

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I like the idea of it, but would definitely need help from a native speaker. I got overly confident with my high school Spanish classes and made an attempt and I will never be doing that again.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Twilight. First fandom I read for, first fandom I posted for. Twilight was how I discovered fanfiction.net and started me down this path.

Beatles now, but all my hyperfixations have produced fic of some kind. Hamilton was my other biggie of the ao3 years so there's a lot of fics for that as well.

Yes because I think it's common courtesy. I didn't always but I've changed my way of thinking lately! A simple thank you is all that is needed too!

What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

As someone who loves angst I'm sad to say, they all have happy endings! Though I love those too. The only fic I can think of that's vaguely angsty is a Brokeback Mountain fic on ff.net.

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Probably my modern JP fic nobody can deny that there's something there. That's the most fluffy happy ending I ever remember writing.

Do you get hate on fics?

The only thing I can think of is a comment someone put on a rec list that included my fic. I was happy to see my fic included but then they said the sex was a "clear no." It kept me from writing sex scenes for years.

See above. Occasionally but a lot of fade to black.

No, but I did start a hamilton/star wars one that's somewhere in my google docs

A Hamilton fic that I never published or finished but I think about often. Maybe if I ever get back to a Hamilton phase again.

I'm not really sure but my friend has told me I do better writing funny fics or parts and writing kid speak (though I haven't done much of either of those lately 🤷🏻‍♀️)

What are your writing weaknesses?

A lot. But if I had to pick one, I'd say writing in clear detail and using creative word choice (I always use the same words for everything!)

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I don't think it's really necessary because most people reading it won't understand. I can think of a few fics where I could tell they just used google translate and while google translate it fine in some cases, you're better off just leaving it out because people are just going to gloss over it anyways. If the author speaks the other language that would be better.

First fandom you wrote for?

Ever? Harry Potter in high school. I wrote the fic on sheets of notebook paper and passed it to my friend. I'm pretty sure I still have it and I would be so mortified to read it again 😳

4. What fandoms do you write for? Well, if it wasn't obvious, Danny Phantom lmao I wrote exclusively for DP for like four years, but now I've moved into LOZ/LU-adjacent spaces. Previously, Ive written for Harry Potter, BBC Merlin, Night in the Woods, Poison Princess, Gregor the Overlander, and Hamilton. I've also got a couple of random one-off fandom fics from PJO, Bones, Six of Crows, ATLA, and a few others.

5. Do you respond to comments? I try!! Some, the ones that are just hearts, I don't always have the energy to mess with, but I appreciate them just as much as others.

6. Angstiest endings? Uhhhhh okay this is a hard one bc i write a lot lf series, so like. the FIC ends angsty, but there's an eventual happy ending?? Ummm probably anything in the my heart was low (but i never was alone) series bc that's all just angst, this isn't what i really want, when forever fell apart, this is the road to ruin (and we started at the end)... there's probably some I'm not thinking about tho

7. Fic with the happiest ending? i genuinely don't know. hm.

8. Do you get hate? nope! sometimes i get some dumbasses tho

9. Do you write crossovers? Ive tried my hand a couple of times, and theyre fun, but im not great at them

10. Ever had a fic stolen? not that i know of! all of my stuff on ao3 is locked down TIGHT

11. Have you ever had a fic translated? im not that popular lmao

12. Have you ever co-written a fic? yes! merlin and the clotpole was originally a co-write, and then there's a pitch pearl coffee shop au series that is co-written.

13. All time favorite ship? im gonna be basic and say danny fenton/mateo aguilar (my oc). but probably also link/sidon and wild/twilight atm i'm really bad about ship-hopping

14. WIPs you want to finish but doubt you ever will? so many. (list below)

(1) phantom everlasting - this was written for a big bang in 2023, and it IS mostly done, but my partnership fell through at the last minute and it kinda soured the whole experience for me, so i haven't written the last like. half of the epilogue, and ive never finished posting it. i'm slowly getting over the hurt, so i hope that one day i can finish it!

(2) it is love we must hold onto - this is a HUGE hp fic i originally started in 2017, abandoned, then started rewriting again this year, and have now left to the wayside again. its huge and plot heavy, and i struggle with it. plot is NOT my strong suit lmao

(3) the sorcerer and the clotpole - this is another rewrite i started of one of my cowritten fics, but i lost the momentum and haven't finished it. i want to, but my motivation is so fickle

(4) the world is having more fun than me (tonight) - my massive college/beyond au series for danny phantom. idk if ill ever finish it tho 😭 i lost the spark so i haven't written anything in a WHILE. there are also several fics in here that are wips that i want to finish

(5) a deep blue underworld - this isn't TECHNICALLY a wip, because it is marked as complete, BUT. it was a random phic phight prompt that i kinda half-assed in 2023 because i got this wicked idea but i didn't have enough spoons to flesh out the world/write more. but the world i ended up creating is some of my favorite and i wanna do more :c

14. Writing strengths? atmosphere, secondary actions, and flow!! im really great at setting the mood/tone, and ive been told more than once that my writing feels like a camera following the characters/setting. (which is great!! because that's how i see it!!)

15. Writing weaknesses? see above ^^ it's plot. im terrible at deep, overarching plots. i get tired/bored and tap out, so pretty much all of my plot heavy works are left incomplete.

16. Thoughts on mixed language dialogue? it depends! a lot of my characters end up speaking multiple languages, so it's kinda natural for words to slip here and there, depending on context and the conversation. mateo uses spanish but only with terms of endearment or familial terms, but emrys, who's welsh, has more random words slip up here and there (like, gimme a cwtch). i also just. slip the words in as if it's natural. there's no explanation or anything, or if it is it's contextual. none of that "oh i'm sorry, that means xyz in [language]!" stuff.

17. Favorite fic you've ever written? Ohhhhh this is a hard one. i hate picking favorites, but if i HAVE to chose... uhhhhh honestly?? anything in the series my heart was low (but i never was alone) i've done a LOT of cool stuff in those fics, and i love the story i'm telling. it's probably one of the most carefully crafted stories i've ever written!!
