Thoughts on Ep 23 & 24 of SP

So because my buddy @harmoniees was telling me these eps of Suspicious Partner were super emotional I decided to jot down my feelings

*PSA THERE WILL BE SPOILERS DO NOT READ IF YOU ARENT CAUGHT UP*

-I’m so glad Wook is fed up with this constant back and forth -Bong Hee is lowkey annoying me right now like dont be a hypocrite fam -I need a Noh Ji Wook for myself -OH BLESS THE HEAVENS MY GIRL PULLED THROUGH -Nkajskskmff HIS FUCKING SMILE IM PREGNANT -oh… damn… well... that snapped me back to reality so quick I got whiplash -OK BUT HER REACTION TO CEO BYEON HAS ME SCREAMIBG -i feel nervous for investigator Bang he needs to leave psycho boy alone -I really don’t understand the cheater girls logic like if they were so important to u why did u cheat and then expect to come back and have everything be fine. Idk it rubs me the wrong way bc eun hyuk has been there trying to make it up to him and he has yet to officially accept his apology so why would he accept her coming back like nothing happened and not properly apologizing -ok so I started the next ep and the end is flooded with comments so that means either really bad or really good and the way things have been going I don’t think it’s good -NO NO NO PSYCHO BOY STAY IN YOUR LANE IM NOT PLAYING MY CHILDREN ARE STARTING TO B HAPPY PUT THAT KNOFE AWAY AND THROW AWAY THOSE PICTURES -BITCHHHHHHHHHHH IM YELLIN FUCK ME UP BONG HEE JUST WENT FOR IT IM YELLIN -well... i stopped writing things down after that point bc it got too intense and I was anxious and now I have no words im sad and emotional and I need a hug bc the writers put me through hell with this weeks episodes...

No próximo dia 27 de setembro, no Quartas Instrumentais do Espaço Cultural BNDES, o grupo Quaterna Réquiem homenageia a Arquitetura e seu maior expoente brasileiro, Oscar Niemeyer (1907-2012), comum concerto de ‘rockde câmara’ apresentando a obra O ARQUITETO. A suíte composta por Elisa Wiermann tem 5 partes inspiradas nos estilos de arquitetos de séculos, países e estilos de época diferentes: Itália– Renascença, França– Barroco/Classicismo, EUA– Modernismo, Espanha– Romantismo,e Brasil –Modernismo/Contemporâneo.O trabalho foi gravado pelo Quaterna Réquiem e recebeu texto crítico de agradecimento de Oscar Niemeyer – impresso na capa do CD:

“Além de agradecido pela gentileza de uma faixa musical dedicada a mim, constatei que o CD ‘O Arquiteto’, lançado pelo grupo Quaterna Réquiem, mostra a capacidade de seus músicos em ver e sentir a arquitetura, do mesmo modo que a sua própria música. Este concertodemonstra que a boa música ultrapassa as fronteiras de gênero e estilo, representando um happening musical, uma celebração que congrega gerações de fãs, tanto da música progressiva quando do rock camerístico.

QUATERNA RÉQUIEM

O grupo foi criado a partir do interesse dos irmãos Elisa Wiermann (teclados, arranjos e composições) e Claudio Dantas (bateria) pela música de concerto e pelo rock progressivo. Cláudio e Elisa reuniram pessoas que se dispusessem a uma determinada disciplina que permitisse levar adiante um trabalho sério dentro de um estilo bastante elaborado e sobretudo que jamais abdicassem da personalidade do trabalho em prol de uma maior facilidade no preparo do “produto”.

O quinteto instrumental Quaterna Réquiem trabalha com composições próprias utilizando fusões estilísticas, fundamentadas nas formas da música de concerto, principal atividade de sua compositora Elisa Wiermann, que utiliza a polifonia barroca, elementos medievais, minimalismoe outras vertentes musicais,juntoà linguagem descontraída do rock. Enfim, uma música caracterizada pela elaboração formal, mas sem barreiras estilísticas ou de timbres, num exercício constante de ecletismo e originalidade.

Com uma discografia bastante difundida em todo o mundo, vem recebendo enaltecedoras críticas da imprensa especializada internacional como Harmoniee Big Bang (França), Aritillus(Espanha), Background Magazine e Si Music (Holanda), Marquee(Japão), Paperlate e Arlequins (Itália), SRM (Alemanha), Art-Rock (Polônia), Cyclone(Canadá), Prognetik(Noruega) e Music People (Coreia do Sul), entre outros. Na Internet, o grupo é citado em inúmeras páginas de diversos países.

Do you know why HXH 2011 didn't end up using "Hikare" as the final ending? :(

I’m assuming it had to do with how short the Election Arc was. Maybe Madhouse didn’t think it justified a new song or complex animation, so they kept it pretty simple? But they still could’ve had a new song and simple animation, so hmmm… They must’ve been rushed, that’s the best conclusion I can come to.

I’m not actually sure what legally goes into it? Since Yuzu wrote music inspired by a read-through of the manga, I’m assuming they were commissioned to write the other ending themes?

Because there are other HXH-ish songs they wrote around the same time, I’m kind of under the impression they were like “okay let’s write a ton of HXH stuff” and then Madhouse just selected what they liked best. They also wrote a character vocal sung by Hisoka, Chrollo, Gon, and Killua, lmao. Since the lyrics are really cheerful and don’t really fit Hisoka and Chrollo, this could also be a song they were commissioned to write and Madhouse just did what they wanted with it. I’ve heard speculation that Nagareboshi Kirari was supposed to be just a duet between Gon and Killua, but after they ruined it by adding a third non-canon character to the mix (lol), Madhouse was like “okay Yuzu can just sing their own version and we’ll use that for an ending theme.”

For people wondering about the other Yuzu singles that came out during HXH airtime besides Hikare, there’s:

守ってあげたい  (I Want to Protect You)* The chorus is like, “I want to protect you, no matter what obstacles are waiting ahead for us. From the time we met, our fates were entwined. So don’t forget, whenever you turn around, I’ll be by your side.”* Sorry, can’t find a Youtube link that’s not for the long music video, in the album version there’s no talking over the song, etc. Just FYI.

友　～旅立ちの時～ (Friend ~Time of Departure~)* Song about friends going their separate ways but knowing they’ll meet again someday… Sigh.* I found a translation here, it’s a little awkward in English imo but you can get the gist of it.

雨のち晴レルヤ (The Rain Will Turn to Hallelujah)* The title is a pun on 晴れ (hare, meaning ‘clear weather’) and the ‘halle’ in hallelujah.* Chorus is like, “No matter which ‘you’ you are, I’ll love you. Lift your head up high, and look, light shines. Even a river of tears will return to the sea. In anyone’s heart, rain will turn to hallelujah.”
