I always kinda imagined Micah would have a hard time with timewarping, he very much was a man shaped by his father and by the era, his sole goal was to survive, and by proxy whatever enabled that. I imagine he'd have had a hard time readjusting not only to the drastic changes, but also not having to constantly think about his next move yk

Yeah no Micah had a bad time timewarping.

Firstly, he died! He died and there was no consequences. Died and popped up in modern era. What is survival worth if death is seemingly not finite?

Second, he wasn't allowed a gun! This is magical modern au America with something resembling gun control. Whatever meager test he had to do to get a gun, he failed it. While Micah's infatuation with guns was very much linked to his overwhelming belief in survival, he also liked the power of a gun.

Third, Micah was weird with Dutch. He followed Dutch. He reunited with Dutch after Dutch walked away from him in Beaver Hollow. Why? Because he desperately wants something resembling family, and Dutch was part of whatever that meant to Micah. And his father was a piece of shit sure but Dutch shot him? Dutch took away everything Micah believed in only to indirectly warp him to a world where everything was ugly and foreign and he had nothing. And Dutch wasn't turning up for a while.

Fourth, the gang didn't immediately decide to trust Micah again. Can you imagine the anger the 1899 gang felt towards Micah? They didn't want anything to do with Micah! They were more than happy to let him walk into the woods unarmed and let him become a hermit, or die again of natural causes. Micah was the first 'bad guy' to timewarp and they hadn't really considered how they were going to deal with that. Micah was a traitor. What had the gang always done to traitors?

Bessie was not immune to the general anger the gang felt towards Micah but she was a self-made woman from the 1880s. She had to learn all about how the world had changed sociologically on her own. She had to unpack so many of her own issues. She wasn't going to let anyone go through that on their own.

She also had the bonus of being a historian. While a womens' history professor, she'd used to access at the university to research the gang in an attempt to figure out timewarp. She's read all their rap sheets. She knows Micah was only a boy when he committed his first murder alongside his father. She's read the few historians who are interested in the psychology of the Old West wonder if Micah Bell III, notorious outlaw, ever had a choice - if he ever knew life could be more than survival.

And she's just soft. She's a tough bitch who can fend for herself but give her a troubled outlaw who's that bit helpless and confused and she can handle the misdirected anger. So she helped him get his shitty trailer home, and sat at the table while he looked around the shipping-container sized building squinting suspiciously at the concept a permanent structure that was meant to be his private camp now.

It was almost like going through a foster kid cliche but with an adult man helping Micah adjust. He learned to drive faster than anyone else in the gang because sitting in 'camp' constantly was counter-productive to survival, and got a map so he could learn the layout of the area. Not having a gun meant he always needed escape routes. He kicked the windows out of his trailer.

Bessie would never say it because Hosea would kill her, but Micah without a gun really reminded her of teen Arthur. Just angry and scared and assuming everyone was out to get him. And Bessie is soft but she is no pushover. Micah make a comment like he used to with Grimshaw? She'll slap him. That doesn't mean she won't drop off leftovers and sit and try to make small-talk.

And Micah still has issues. He craves connection. Being completely isolated is counter-productive to survival. Bessie sets boundaries but she's for the most part more patient than he deserves and does what she can to teach him about modern era survival.

She helps him get a job so he can buy his dumb truck and takes him grocery shopping, teaches him about tracking money because Micah gave most of his money to the gang too in VDL days. He's not used to paying for things because he's always stolen what he needs. She buys him clothes and has to turn up to wash them because he is useless but little acts of kindness actually mean a hell of a lot to Micah.

He's still a brash pig at best most days but she notices the 'come near her and i'll fucking kill you' glares he gives people on the street because he's that little bit protective of his perceived family. And how awkward he sounds the first time he calls to ask about what the hell his frozen meal means when it says fan-forced oven.

Micah's sole goal, purpose, reason for being is still survival, because really what else is there? He still doesn't have anything to live for more than living for living's sake. Not pissing off Bessie supports survival. And maybe the little 'good work!' comments and praise when he does the bare minimum like actually putting clothes in a laundry basket completely alter his brain chemistry because he's never received praise for something that wasn't directly linked to criminal or gang activity.

So yes Micah makes an effort to talk to Bessie and sometimes when he's feeling more lonely and isolated than usual he knows Bessie will always answer.

I was asking what omegaverse classification every member of mötley crüe fell under and then @anaalnathrakhs said that no matter what classification they are, they're always interesting and I'm inclined to agree, so here's a comprehensive list of what I think is interesting about the guys falling under each dynamic.

Alpha Vince - This just makes sense, Vince is cocky and sure of himself with an overly masculine energy. He covers up insecurities with fake hubris and gets aggressive whenever provoked in any way, I mean he literally challenged Axl Rose to a full on fist fight on live television, tell me that isn't alpha behaviour. Also being an alpha gives Vince an excuse to be overly sexual with no consequences, because the media (at least in omegaverse 80s)is always like “oh he's an alpha he can't help it, they're innately sexual beings, if you don't let alpha's be alphas your depriving them of their nature”  basically the media just enables him to fuck more as an alpha, without qeustion.

Omega Vince - This also makes sense somehow. Male omegas are rare and Vince loves being the centre of attention and by being an omega he would definitely stand out, which he loves. However Vince being a man whore would be more frowned upon in this context as “he's an omega, he should be saving himself for his alpha one day!” However I can't decide if this sentiment would make Vince more secretive about his slutiness or far more vocal about it (I'm leaning towards the latter). However I don't think that Omega Vince would feel as confident in his own skin as Alpha or beta Vince would, as being called a used up slut by the media kinda goes to his head and makes him far less innerly confident, but on the outside he's more confident than ever. Don't think Vince would use any supprecents or scent blockers of any kind, all omega natural for him.

Beta Vince - Now this is the most interesting Vince dynamic to write I think. Because in a world where alpha's are important and omegas are held on top of a pedestal, betas are just kinda…there and this would drive Vince absolutely insane. Like totally bonkers. Just imagine him going twice as hard as any of his alpha/omega singer friends, desperately trying to stand out, wanting all the praise and reverence his differently classified friends would get and successfully at that. Vince's ego would be huge and small, he would be calm and insane, graceful yet feral. Beta Vince my beloved juxtaposition friend. (I am deranged, I never see anyone write beta Vince and it is clearly the most interesting of all options) Like he would try to pick more fights then alpha Vince just to prove that he is still worthwhile, even though his classification is not worthwhile.

Alpha Tommy - Tommy does strictly think with his dick, so this checks out. Similar to alpha Vince I think Tommy would use the gize of being an alpha to be an absolute tool. The one dangerous thing about alpha Tommy though is that he falls in love so quickly and he would totally claim the first girlfriend he ever had and then regret it and then just be stuck bonded to a random girl he dated once like…forever 💀

Omega Tommy - Gets claimed by the first alpha who he falls for and regrets it. Omega Tommy would never take any heat supplements and sees his heat as a mini fuck vacation. If Tommy can avoid getting claimed by every person he falls into bed with and manages to not get knocked up, I think he'd really enjoy being an omega. He doesn't have any of the innate omegan shame that I think all the other guys would have as omegas.

Beta Tommy - This would just be Tommy normally, but with the added bonus of not being educated on dynamics really because he's a beta and therefore didn't think it was important for him to pay attention in health class, so like if one of the guys where to go into heat at an inconvenient time he'd just be like ??? “Can't you like…hold it in??”

Alpha Nikki - With him being the band leader low key him being an alpha makes sense to me in the sense that Nikki is in control of a lot of Mötley's output as a band music and press wise. He's a control freak and being an alpha would go well for him since he'd have an excuse to be bossy all the time, with the added effect of people actually listening to him. Nikki would love being an alpha I'm sure, that being said, I don't think this is the best fit for him personally. Uses being an alpha as an excuse to be feral.

Omega Nikki - this is the guy that has the most omega shame of all the guys I think. Like he'd take an insane amount of supprecents and scent blockers and stuff. He wouldn't trust anyone to help him through his heats, and I think for the longest time he wouldn't tell the band, not until he really needed to at least. Nikki hates being out of control and looked down upon. Being an omega would be really hard on his already bad self image in the 80s.

Beta Nikki - Just normal Nikki, he would not understand other classifications needs but he respects them and tries to accommodate them as much as he can without sacrificing his own comfort.

Alpha Mick - Mick is naturally an alpha I think. A very calming dominating presence in a way that doesn't overwhelm a lot of people like the other guys as alpha's would. He's just a very safe feeling. Mick is good Alpha material in my mind. I do think he'd have trouble asserting himself if there are multiple alpha's in a room though, Mick hates confrontation and so he tries to stay out of it as much as possible.

Omega Mick - Now this is an interesting thought, Mick as an omega is (like beta Vince) one of those juxtapositions that would just be fascinating because usually omegas are soft around the edges, submissive and traditionally more and feminine and here comes omega Mick, dominant, rough and crass. A lot of alpha's who are interested in him think he's playing hard to get but he is just genuinely not interested. He wouldn't be omega Nikki levels of insane about blockers but I think he'd wear a cologne that covered his scent up. I also think growing up as an omega would have made Mick even more overly passive, which I didn't think was possible.Anyway, live, laugh and love this idea.

Beta Mick - Makes the most sense in my opinion. Mick is pretty much the best person in the band to give this classification to. He himself is a true neutral in every situation and he can bring the balance like this (not that he can't in other dynamics, it just is a betas professional to keep the peace between the other two dynamics). Beta Mick makes alot of sense and is very accurate to who he is as a person. Also he'd hate to get heats and ruts, so really this pick would be for the best.

so i'm that person who has never really considered reading fanfics that ship severus with any of the marauders. i have come to learn over the years that fanfics are completely self indulgent --- as they should be --- but sometimes that sacrifices plausibility. as in to say, could this REALLY happen? and sometimes i can suspend my disbelief and roll with it and other times, i struggle if there's no slowburn where necessary.

in the case of snape, you've got 4 people who spent the vast majority of his school life bullying him. and remus does NOT get a pass here because you're just as guilty if you're allowing it / enabling it / not speaking up. so even with remus, who nearly killed sev on accident, i cannot see a scenario without a shit ton of slow burn, where sev would even want to be near him, let alone date him.

and i imagine when remus was hired at hogwarts, sev probably tore albus a new one. like 'HOW DARE YOU HIRE HIM KNOWING WHAT HE IS...' because despite sev being a changed man, some trauma is harder to let go. and don't get me wrong. i love albus to death. he is my son, but he's also my very manipulative son who will sacrifice a person's comfort for what he deems 'the greater good'. and severus' comfort is sacrificed often. some would argue its deserved given how he was a death eater but no man is perfect. albus is not perfect. he dated a potential lord voldemort in gellert and KNEW what the man was deep inside so i mean... its a fine line if mistakes and imperfections but also good intentions in some areas.

all of that to say, i can never see a romantic relationship realistically working out with snape and a marauder UNLESS its slow burn AND a lot of things are discussed / apologized for on both ends AND lots of reassurance. Because honestly, if one of the marauders actually took a interest in snape, he'd assume it was one long, laborate joke. even as an adult, he'd assume they were having one last go at him on James' behalf and i don't think he'd ever truly believe one could care about him. the wound is too deep. he'd spend years wondering when the jig was up because anyone could have sex. anyone could SAY they love you. but snape's used to being used, manipulated, ect by those who claim to care so just... idk. romance for him in general would be hard.

and yeah i read snarry but its the same deal. there's a LOT of hurdles to overcome there starting with the fact that potter is the seed of the woman he once obsessed over and loved and the man he loathed beyond words.

but anyway, i will probably blog a lot of the fanart of these ships cos the art's so pretty. but just know its not me trying to push ships on people cos it would take plotting and time and a willingness for our characters to admit their wrongdoing. and they're all proud men so if it never happens, its totes cool.

as a side note, one night stands --- always possible. its the romantic, long term stuff that would take ages.

I've finally figured out how to articulate how I feel about the Project Diva modding community

I've been like, racking my brain on-and-off every time I get reminded that it's a thing that exists for months trying to figure out how exactly I'd go about expressing why I think it kinda sucks and coming up empty but I like, got reminded when I was about to get outta bed and it came to me in a flash of light exactly what analogy to use.

Imagine it's like, early 2017. The Guitar Hero community has been stuck on GH3PC for such an immensely long time, and it's great for what it is, but it has so many limitations, so many things you can't do without crashing it, crashes a bunch at random times anyway, etc. People want to move on from it, and then Clone Hero rocks up.

Everyone wants to move to Clone Hero, obviously, it's gaining big time traction, got a lot of momentum behind it, generally far less likely to crash, has way more options, being actively developed at the time, doesn't require looking in sketchy places to get a copy of GH3PC or paying exorbitant amounts of money to buy it yourself. There are some other pretty major snags, but you've been assured they'll be resolved in time.

Now imagine all the tools are developed to port the like, decade of customs that have been built up over to Clone Hero from GH3PC. It's a simple thing, anyone can do it. Now imagine one person on Frets on Fire, whose charts are still actively publicly available, says "no, I don't want you playing my charts on Clone Hero, I only want you to play them on GH3PC". You obviously might want to respect this one person's wishes, but you have to make the choice over whether this one person's wishes are worth taking away the ability of however many people are going to play Clone Hero to play a decade's worth of charts from mostly people who don't care in a more stable environment that they don't have to acquire through sketchy means.

Clone Hero gave people the tools, Project Diva went nuclear on anyone who wanted to do so.

Now imagine there's a guy who's willing to use his platform to pay these old charters to allow him to port them up to Clone Hero. Imagine he's also willing to pay new charters to get a bunch of content charted, because he's determined to see the modding scene for this game thrive after having been around the custom scene in various forms for decades. Imagine now that like, the major figures in charge of the custom scene decided to declare this guy persona non grata for this, make life as hard for him as possible and try actively to restrict important information he'd need in order to do this WITHOUT colliding with the rest of the community from him.

Clone Hero's community looked the other way, Project Diva's made life as hard as possible and schismed into factions for no good reason.

Now imagine, finally, towards the end of 2017, coming up on 2018, that in these circumstances where a decade of their old content is locked away to the old game, some people want to continue producing for the old game rather than move to the new one that still has barely any content 7 months in and shows no real signs of improving, (a game that, in the real example of MM+, still has a stutter that happens every couple of minutes during gameplay unless you completely restrict the game's network access while having to periodically re-enable it so that Denuvo can verify itself and hasn't had a patch in 5 of its 7 months of life,) so these people continue to post their GH3PC charts and skins in the server that at one point was purposed for them to do so, the server run by the same people who made it so hard for them to move up to Clone Hero by ensuring the entire library would be locked away and alienating so many of the charters.

I'm sure there's absolutely still a server out there of people who chart specifically for GH3PC. I'm not in it if it does because I have no particular interest in GH3PC. It doesn't matter either way, though. Whether you chart for GH3PC, GHWTDE, RB2DX, RB3DX, GH2DX, GH1DX, Phase Shift, Clone Hero, Fret Smasher, it's all easily accessible and transferrable to basically any of the others, save for some things like taps, opens and extended sustains not being supported by some/most of the games, and any friction that maybe could have arisen as a result of that amounted to absolutely nothing in the long term, if any happened at all. On the other hand, you glance into the DIVA modding community to see what's happening over there, what's new in the mods showcase, and instead you get treated to this. A schismed community constantly biting at each others heels instead of getting anything done.

If you take time to show him how to use the camera features he sends you images of the forest and the cabin. (-Stress -Trauma) Sometimes brutal images of things he's hunted or monsters in the forest. (+Stress +Trauma) (Of course if he takes pictures of [living!] wolves around the forest you may take a stress hit unless you have Stolkholm Syndrome Black Wolf and the wolves are members of your pack, in which case it's the opposite.)

How is he charging it? . . .Shhhh.

Robin tells you about his games. Buys games and is like 'i can't wait to play this with you!' if you haven't been to the orphanage or played games with him in a while. Talks about what he's heard about movies that're out(but not too much! He doesn't wanna spoil it if you're gonna see it!) or other things. Really only uses it if he hasn't seen you in a while or hasn't spoken to you outside of class. Tbh he'd only have one if you could pay for one and minutes/texts for him, so he uses it sparingly. Occasionally his will be broken when he's being bullied and he feels so bad if you buy him a replacement.

Kylar's a menace. But he means well. Texts you good night and good morning every day. Texts you pictures of his drawings, a lot of texts about how much he loves you or how good you look today. (-Trauma) Pictures of you that you don't remember him taking or that're from behind or the side in places you don't remember him being to have had reasonably taken pictures of you. (+Stress) Talking about how he's watching you or protecting you or how much he misses you or asking where you are if he lost track of you. (++Stress) And (+Jealousy) if he's watching you and you're calling or texting anyone but him lol

Whitney also being a menace but with less good intentions. Bullying, trolling, just being a little jackass as always. Sometimes sending you pictures other people have taken of you in encounters that he found online or that his friends sent from you doing things in school. (+Stress +Trauma) Sometimes gives your number out to people so you get spammed with unpleasant texts and calls(Skulduggery check to decieve them into thinking it's the wrong number; Promiscuity, Exhibitionism, Awareness, Prostitution enabled checks into various ways to make use of it for your gain, like arranging paid encounters or getting paid for nudes.) If he likes you he sends you nudes tho. And tells you to meet him places for what ultimately amount to dates or committing crimes. Gets pissy if you don't meet up with him though.

Bailey never messages you unless you're not home (or at Alex's) when they want their money. You don't even realize Bailey has your number until you get that message. (++Stress) The longer you go without paying the more uncomfortably threatening the messages get. And you can block them but the catharsis doesn't last long. (Lbr, Bailey'd be using a burner anyway, you block one number you get messages from another, it's pointless.) They may do something similar to Whitney where they'd give people your number so they harass you(although they only do so until you see Bailey) but since they allegedly already paid Bailey for your time you can't turn them around and it's just a lot of (+Stress) if you check your messages while Bailey'd looking for you lol.

And of course you could actually have exchanges and stuff on them. It wouldn't be exclusively recieving messages. Could probably take pictures or videos of places or yourself or things you see to send to people.

You'd also be able to lose it, get rid of it, have it broken or stolen, or leave it places--the latter is for things like breaking into houses or the docks so you take less Crime because there's "evidence" you weren't at the scene of the crime. You probably get burner phones from Landry. Obviously you pay more, you get more little features and ways to interact with it and others through it. But it'd also be more dangerous in a few ways.

Like. Something like that would never be implimented. That'd take a lot of coding and writing and it'd be a pain in the ass. But it's kinda fun to think about.

Also i'm realizing at the end of this post that the reason i even got on this train of thought and the reason i intended to make this post was because i saw the words 'look at this fucking cute dog!' and i imagined whitney's response to the player texting them that with a picture of them hugging a dog, if they have high bestiality fame and high love, would be 'look at this cute dog-fucker!'

And then i just started thinking about other phone interactions and got off track.
