Once we were in Two Harbors we settled down at the to the Harbor Reef restaurant’s deck. The adventure started when I called a taxi to take us to Two Harbors. It’s was about an hour once we started. On the way we got to Alice Wrigley’s farm and vineyard. They’ll be making wine on the island in a couple of years. Let me assure you it is a circuitous route to Two Harbor but and interesting trip up and down through the mountains. When we saw the bay of Two Harbors we were transformed by its untouched beauty. Once we arrived we had some delicious cocktails (Micheladas & Buffalo’s Milk) and a quesadilla and a birthday brownie with candle. We were surrounded by by birds and bees. Liz took pity on the pigeon with no toes. Once we started sharing food fellow pigeon brothern and sistern jumped in. Then the Raven scared them all away and waited for his treats. Liz spoke of Poe’s The Raven and a read a couple versus to honor the moment. I was not dressed appropriately for a swim but Liz came prepared. I shot a few of her on the beach. We lingered until the cyclone arrived to speed us to Avalon and the home on the Catalina Express. That boat ride was phenomenal. The coast line of Catalina is mystical and dramatic. It’s was really inspiring. What an amazing birthday weekend we had.
