Christmas Gifts Exchange | Christian, Luchasaurus Killswitch, and Nick

Summary: Christmas gifts exchange at Nick's house. Christian being Christian with a sweet ending.

Nick couldn't be more excited for today's gift exchange with his father and Killswitch. He canceled all his plans for today to make sure everything was perfect. The Egg Nog was being kept cold in the refrigerator while the Christmas cookies were cooling on the bsking rack. As the day wore on, the Prodigy found himself looking out the window frequently. Finally, he saw a car's headlights shine through his window.

Nick waited until they knocked on his front door. He didn't want to seem like he had been waiting all day for them. The waiting gnawed at his stomach until he heard the loud knock on the door followed by Christian scolding Killswitch. The dinosaur must have balled his fist and pounded the door again. He was still learning how to properly knock.

He opened the front door to his home and they walked in. Nick held his breath as Christian's eyes scanned the room. The patriarch was always so crucial with detail.

"Good job on the decorations," Christian complimented and took off his sweater. He handed it to Nick before making his way to the living room.

"I love your ugly Christmas sweater," Nick complimented Killswitch. He wore a bright red sweatshirt with a green T-Rex on it. The shirt read Merry Rexmas in bright gold embroidered letters. Christmas lights that lit up hung from the shirt. The guest pulled Nick in for a hug before following his dad.

The Christmas cookies waited for them on the living room table. Killswitch helped himself to them happily. They talked about AEW and how they grew as a family. Christian had big dreams for his sons. He wouldn't rest until they had belts around their waists. He raised champions, not losers, he would often say.

"I forgot the egg nog and the gifts. I'll be right back," Nick suddenly remembered. He stood up from his seat and ran to the kitchen.

While Nick was sleeping, Killswitch made a whining noise and pointed at the cookies. Christian tried to ignore him at first. He knew exactly what he was complaining about. Killswitch tugged on Christian's turtleneck and the patriarch signed in annoyance.

"Yeah and maybe if you didn't cost us the match at Full Gear you wouldn't get the tasteless refrigerated Pillsbury cookies. Winners get homemade Christmas cookies," Christian scolded. Killswitch whimpered yet remained silent.

Nick came back to the living room with three glasses filled with egg nog and two gift bags in the other. He handed them their drinks. Killswitch drank the egg nog down in one sitting while Christian took tiny sips from his glass.

"Here, guys, Merry Christmas," Nick smiled and slid the gift bags across the table. Killswitch was the first to grab his bag. He ripped the gift paper out quickly shredding the papers to tiny pieces. A cry of joy came out as he saw a new dinosaur mask for him to wear. "I'm glad you like it, Killswitch,"

The happy dinosaur held his finger up. He stood up and reached in his pocket. Colorful tiny dinosaur figurines filled his hand. His arm was outstretched as he dropped the small dinos in front of Nick on the table.

"He insisted we stop at Walmart to get you those," Christian pointed out. Nick

"Thanks," Nick chuckled while placing the dinosaurs so that they were standing. "Aren't you going to open yours?"

Christian opened his bag neatly. The wrapping paper folded on to the living room table. He pulled out two black turtle neck sleeveless shirts. Christian smiled in approval. Once he looked in the bag he saw a paper folded up.

"I made that one day while waiting for the plane. It's a drawing of us. We are holding hands. You are in the middle and we are on the outside," Nick explained his drawing. Christian looked at the drawing closely.

A sun with sun rays was formed on the left corner. Little black ms to resemble birds flew above the picture of them. He saw the three stick figures that were supposed to be them. Different landscapes such as bushes, flowers, and trees also decorated the page.

"Satisfactory," Christian told him not showing much emotion. He placed his gifts back in the bag.

The rest of the night was spent talking until Killswitch started to fall asleep. All the sugar he previously ingested now causing him to crash. Christian took this as their sign to leave. They bid their farewells and left the house. After dropping Killswitch off, he drove home.

Christian walked through his front door. He placed the gift bag on his bar and poured himself a drink. His thoughts stayed on the drawing Nick made. He took out the drawing and stared at it.

"This belongs on the refrigerator," he told himself. He walked into the kitchen and used one of the magnets to hang it up. There he continued to look at it proudly.

Rexmas Week

Rexmas Week will take place between December 14-20

I think I will try making people make fanart and stuff again. And since it is almost time for Christmas, how about a week for making fan stuff for Beastars’ version of Christmas

Each day will focus on a character or characters from Beastars. Make something “rexmas” related with that character.

Happy Holidays!

Hi everyone!

I hope the festvities are going really well so far and you all survived the mandatory Rexmas carols and the food coma after the dozens of dishes.

Due to having some rather eventful schedule for the next two weeks (including work, going out with friends and studying for a Chemistry exam at uni), I will have to take a short break from posting between December 26th and January 8th. :(

Posts will return on January 9th with the regular schedule. ^^

I wish you all a Merry Rexmas and a Happy New Year full of good fortune, positivity, friendship, good memories and love!

Riztem as adults:

Riz runs a bakery called “Honey Bear Bakery”, the two have an apartment on top of it. They specialise in honey based baked goods but also do regular stuff and also serve meals at certain times of the day! It gets very good reviews and is always busy, so Riz has hired some staff to help run the place. Although he has been approached about expanding into a chain he always declines, as he has no interest in the more business or capitalism side of things. He is happy with his little home. They also act as a motivational speaker for young bears sometimes.

Tem is a literature teacher now, still working at Cherryton school (for better or worse), he does acting as a part time thing but decided not to pursue it full time. He has grown quite a bit since when he was younger especially in the neck region, so whilst he is still much smaller than Riz he can kiss them a little easier (oh yeah Riz uses he/they pronouns and identifies as agender now lol) amongst other things. Tem initially tried to help Riz out at the bakery but they quickly stopped him despite his insistence, since being a teacher means a lottttt of work and also Tem is just not good in kitchen areas.

Although they’re very busy they always make sure to have time for one another and time for themselves, this was something they had difficulty with at first and it did lead to a rocky period in their relationship, but happily they pulled through. The bakery will close on certain days of the week and they both take at least a months holiday during the summer and the middle of the winter (Riz needs hibernation time especially after the Rexmas rush)
