Not to sound like a 90s shallow prep, but how you dress can affect your self esteem, and putting energy into wearing things you actively like and projecting an ideal of yourself through fashion instead of seeing clothes as things you have to put on out of obligation helps.
It also can give you a sense of control over your appearance that you otherwise wouldn’t have lmao

I did not even try for historical accuracy/realism with that dress bc a.) it’s a fantasy world and b.) Zelda deserves a pretty dress that also has translucent poofy sleeves to show off her biceps. bonus Metal Prince Charming Gorgug

when i was a teenager it felt very revolutionary to be cruel to myself. like some kind of slow passive protest against how much everything hurt. i starved myself of sleep and food and tenderness because it felt right. it felt sharp and angry and radical and i wanted to be those things. adulthood is the realisation that the world is already working to cut into you well before you learn how to do it yourself. caring for yourself and others is the real protest

It's so funny to me when you can clearly see that someone just moved from a different sm to tumblr and they have yet to learn about enyrhing about the site, like insta artist will try to add a crop piece when tumblr doesn't need that, or Twitter people that speak in short paragraphs and censor names in the posts with letters and numbers. Amusing

my contribution to this year’s @d20bigbang !! for the past four months i have had the absolute JOY of teaming up with @gilears to create art for their incredible (like, seriously incredible) fic Over & Through:
In hindsight, Kristen maybe should have done a bit more research into the ritual that asks you to drink moon pool water in order to travel back in time before she started roping her friends into actually performing it. But she didn’t, so maybe she doesn’t get to be surprised when it rips a thousand little holes in the seams of reality, and maybe she doesn’t get to complain when she’s the one that has to reach through and stitch them back together. There’s seven hundred and twenty ways it could go but only one way it can end, and this is it.
(or: the bad kids try to remember what happened in the forest of the Nightmare King. It doesn’t go well. A reader-interactive journey about doubt, second chances, and the not so far distance between your selves.)
