Bartender Sara! 🖤
Could you kindly mix me up a mocktail that I can enjoy with Ezra please?
Something tells me I'll want to remember my encounter with him... 😜
Thankies & love you! 🖤
Jett!!! 😃
Ok.. not gonna lie. This was really hard because for Ezra I had everything lined up with alcohol.. 😂
But anyway, these days I saw a post on your blog about a little something that you are planning for Ezra who may or may not involve bees... so just for you, here you go....
- Bee's Knee Cocktail -
1 oz rosemary honey simple syrup
½ lemon
sparkling water
ice
Mix water and honey in a pot, cooking over a low heat until combined, and then add a sprig of rosemary to steep. To a lowball glass or a small drinking glass, add ice until ¾ of the way full. Add the rosemary honey syrup when cool and squeeze the juice from ½ a lemon. Top with sparkling water until glass is full and then stir to combine. If desired, garnish with a rosemary sprig or lemon slice. Enjoy! 😊
Maybe this little mixture can spark the Muses? 😆 Hope you like it, anyway... ☺️ Thank you for your order! ✨💖✨

The Best Of Santa Fe + Madrid + Albuquerque
Where to begin with Santa Fe?! This has been our favorite stop of the trip so far. Actually, New Mexico overall has been a huge highlight. The scenery has been incredible, the food, THE MARGS! We both agreed we could totally live in Taos or Santa Fe. Anyway, our Air BnB was right on the edge of the historic downtown area so we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go for the two days we were in town. The city is rich in New Mexico history and, much like Taos, we are already anxious to plan a longer trip back.
We rolled into town around 5 pm and took Greg for a spin. We were all pooped from our hike in Taos earlier that day. Our Air BnB was located directly across the street from Cross Of The Martyrs and Fort Marcy. Awesome little walk with lots of plaques and signs to read. We saw lots of little lizards zipping back and forth across the path in front of us which had Greg very interested.
After our dog walk we left Greg to nap and walked down to the plaza to search for dinner. We found an awesome spot called the Plaza Café which we had seen good reviews for. While we wanted for our table, we popped next door to a second story patio bar called The Thunderbird Bar & Grill for a quick margarita. The margs were delicious and we were sad we didn’t get a chance to go back for another one before we left town. As some of you may or may not know, things got a tad out of hand with margs and Mexican/New Mexican food during our time in New Mexico. Pete more so than myself. Virtually every dinner he had included layers of cheese and beans. He went all in and his stomach paid the price. By our last day in New Mexico, Pedro was trying to convince me to get salads from Whole Foods for dinner.
Most of our time in Santa Fe was spent walking around with Gregor exploring, shopping, eating and drinking margs. I proudly attended an 8am spin class, which Pete chose not to attend due to unstable stomach conditions. Our last night in Santa Fe, we hit up Meow Wolf; a large-scale immersive art installation funded by George R. R. Martin in an old abandoned bowling alley. Really cool experience. If you are into psychedelic drugs, you would love this place (and possibly have a panic attack and die in there). We did not do said drugs and we still had an absolute blast. After Meow Wolf, we had dinner reservations at The Shed. This restaurant has been a staple in Santa Fe since 1953 and serves up “Creative New Mexican Cooking.” They don’t take reservations, so we had to stand in line when they opened earlier that day to try to get our name on the list for dinner. We arrived just before 11 am (when they opened) and the line was already fairly long so we almost canned it entirely. So glad we didn’t, because we were able to get on the list and our dinner was FANTASTIC. Another plate of cheese and beans for Pete (extra spicy this time). I went for the sautéed fish tacos. Highly recommend eating here if you are in Santa Fe.
The next morning, we woke up and strolled around the plaza and did a bit more shopping and then headed to La Choza for lunch for one last marg/Mex combo. La Choza is another place I would highly recommend if you are in the Santa Fe area. It is The Shed’s sister restaurant and allegedly has the best tacos in town. After lunch, we took the scenic route to Albuquerque, traveling down the Turquoise Trail and passing through the town of Madrid. Madrid is one of the coolest little towns I have ever visited. Originally a mining town, Madrid is now basically a hippie/artist commune with a couple divey bars and restaurants. The town just sort of pops up in the middle of the desert. We strolled through the shops and bought some art and then grabbed a drink and listened to some live music at the famous Mine Shaft Tavern and Cantina. Just before leaving Madrid, I popped into Shugarman’s Little Chocolate Shop and soo glad I did. The owner, Harvey, was so cool and the chocolate is unreal. FYI - THEY SHIP. Totally worth the money and you’re supporting a small business owner. WIN WIN!
From Madrid, we had just under an hour drive to Albuquerque. We were just staying the night to break up what would already be a long drive the next day to the Grand Canyon, so our time in Albuquerque was mostly uneventful. We had dinner/drinks at Sawmill Market, a hip food court warehouse-like space that housed food/cocktail/sweets/juice/etc. vendors. I saw approx. ten different women wearing tube tops and am wondering if they are making a comeback? If you are visiting Albuquerque it is probably best to get some local fashion tips from someone who knows the area. Overall, we weren’t overly impressed, but we also didn’t really know what to do/what to look for and were tired from a busy day. We did go to a CycleBar spin class before hitting the road to AZ the next morning. That was fun because I hadn’t been to a CB studio since March 2019. Pete did not win first place like he usually does in those classes and that made me happy.
Next update coming from The Grand Canyon, AZ

Framed this watercolour paper cut piece for our front hallway today! Part of the fun of being a maker is always having something new to hang 😅 I love to switch up what’s on the wall! Are you like me, always changing your wall decor around? Or do you get things “just so” and then leave it? I suspect I’m in the minority here… and I’m so curious what others do! ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #createifcreated #showyourwork #waketomake #alittlelightcommunity #opusartsupplies #opusdailypractice #vancouverletteringcommunity #vancouvercreatives #vancouverartist #calligrafriends #creativityeveryday #makesomethingeveryday #createsomethingeveryday #letteringart #moderncalligrapher #makersgonnamakeit #makersvillage #makersofinstagram #makerspace #calligraphylove #watercolorlettering #watercolourlettering #watercolorcalligraphy #makersbiz #creativespace #creativemornings #canadiancreatives #creativesofinstagram

August is sneaking up so quickly! I thought I still had some time to post my July spreads before revealing my August theme and cover, but August is here like two days! I will still post my remaining July spreads though, because there is one July spread that I am very happy with the end result :) . But my August theme is garden/gardening! Maybe a little influenced by #acnh again, but I love flowers and gardening in animal crossing. Although often my flowers grow too wildly and I get overwhelmed and they just end up getting neglected… But regardless, I love flowers and I am romanticizing about having a garden of my own in real life lol. . Also shout out to @bujoescape for essentially giving me like 75% of the flowers in this game. I think without Kristie, I probably wouldn't like gardening so much… SO this one is for you Kristie :p . . . . . . . #bujotheme #bujocoverpage #bujocover #bujomonthly #illustrationgram #aestheticart #minimalart #plannermonthly #bujospread #bujospreadideas #bujoideasrepost #bujoinspiration #bulletjournalinspo #bujojunkie #journalcommunity #bujogoals #aestheticjournal #bulletdaily #planner_daily #bujogram #bujoaugust #bujocanada #madeinyeg #madeinalberta #madeincanada #etsystickers #etsyplannerstickers #mujicanada

Bartender Sara, hi!!!!! Also happy birthday, my love!!!!! Could you make me a non-alcoholic drink based on Frankie (bonus points if it's Shared Breaths Frankie, my beloved)
Babe... 😍
Here is your drink...
- Jurassic Park on the rocks -
Crushed Ice
Peel of 1 lime
Lemonade
Blue Food Colouring
Mint for Garnish
Peel a lime and using mini scissors cut it in mini-dinosaur shape like the pic above. Use a blender to crush the ice. Add an inch of crushed ice to your glass and then place the lime dinosaurs towards the bottom of the glass before slowly adding more ice. Put food coloring in your lemonade and slowly pour it over the ice. Garnish with mint leaves. Enjoy! 😊
To ensure that Cassie didn't feel left out during social gatherings with the gang, where everybody has an alcoholic drink in their hands, Frankie invented this cocktail.
Fresh, colourful, cute, with dinosaurs… the little girl loved it straight away. And it was a success among the others too. More than once her Uncles skipped the usual beers to ask to be served with what was later dubbed as "The Cassie's Cocktail." 😃
The hardest part is to cut dinosaurs into shape but it's also funniest one. A competition was always organized for it with everybody attending and where Cassie is the supreme judge. Ben was the Champion for years straight… 'till Miss came along. 😆
Hope you like it, Dearest... Thank you for your order!! ✨💖✨
(PS: thank you for the Birthday wishes.... 🥹🥹)

In anticipation of the 22nd - happy big milestone birthday!! Hope you have an amazing birthday weekend 🥳🥳
For the virtual bar, may I request an alcoholic Pero Tovar beverage? 🍹 Thank you!
I’m not lying… this was kind of a challenge because I don’t have much knowledge of Pero.. (I still jave to watch the movie… 👉👈)
But while researching I found this cocktail.. and I’m sorry but had to use it… 😅
- Chinese Cocktail -
4 parts dark rum (2 oz.)
Grenadine (1 tbsp.)
3 - 5 dashes white Curaçao
3 - 5 dashes maraschino liqueur
Dash Angostura bitters
Combine all ingredients with cracked ice in a cocktail shaker and shake well. Strain into chilled cocktail glass. Enjoy! 😊
I don’t know.. In my mind if there ever would have been a bar on the other side of The Wall, Pero would have been a regular and this would have been his choice… 😂
Thank you for your order, Dearest!! ✨💖✨
