making a list of all things that brought me joy this year for fun and profit

starting off with a simple one….scented wax melts. I’m literally obsessed with them and their supreme vibe setting power. way better and safer than candles and CHEAPER!! I just got a bunch of them for xmas and they’re soooo good

MY OCs!! I know I don’t talk about them much but I think about them like 24/7. My main ones ofc but I also got some designs I’ve wanted for yeeears this year

REGAINING THE ABILITY TO WATCH GORY/SUPER VIOLENT STUFF WITHO IT FEELING NAUSEOUS!! Big win for me this year. after covid I developed a whole bunch of new and fun anxieties and every time I watched something violent or gory or even slightly medical I’d vividly imagine how painful and horrible it would be if that happened to me. For some reason I decided to watch The Boys and it literally exposure therapy’d the anxiety away…now I’ve been rewatching American horror story >:3

GETTING A JOB I was extremely nervous about both acquiring and carrying out the tasks of the job but it’s all turned out very well. mfw I get a job I enjoy and it also pays well. I’ve only had it for a month but a steady paycheck/somewhat steady schedule has done wonders for me

this is nothing new but my beautiful angel fiance @lesbiangallagher always keeping me happy and laughing and making sure I don’t eat too much hot sauce. nobody I’d rather watch wicked and eat sushi with than you baby 💕

again nothing new but gotta shout out my bestie @sjweminem I’m literally coming to your house to force feed you chicken feed as we speak! thank you for being my friend for all these years let’s make it 100 more baby

recently discovered the magic of mechanical pencils and I feel like it’s about to take my sketching to a whole new level

all the great deals I got at various stores this year but especially Aldi. items from Aldi have made this house a home. I binge watched extreme couponing and finance YouTuber this year and it’s changed the game..I still lowkey have a shopping problem but I spend a lot less because now it’s more of a game of how I can get the best deals. I’ve been waiting for a cat bed to drop in price at petco for months. That shit is not moving so I know if I wait in the tall grass soon I can get it for at least 30% off. once I bought a cat tree for $5

I decluttered and improved my cleaning skills a lot this year, cleaner space cleaner mind happier home ect. My housewife game is off the charts

since we started with a silly one I’ll end with one: I got a tamagotchi connection for xmas and forgot how much I love playing this thang. I’m way better at the games than I was at 10 years old try not to be too impressed

It’s been 84 yeeears. A lot of stuff happened all at once in my life that made writing impossible. Some good, some bad. But my life is finally balancing out and I’ve been itching to write again since I’ve become involved in new fandoms!

A bit about my writing, I pretty much exclusively write Explicate (aka ADULT) xReader fics. Some of you know me from my thick and/or plus sized reader fics which although I am no longer plus size myself (another big change) I’m still happy to write them and I’m still thicc so I’m here for my thicc bishes too.

For those who prefer reading fics on AO3, that’s where I like to post them the most too! But here I get to interact with y’all more.

• No underage stuff

I don’t do underage stuff. It’s complicated with things like MHA where some characters are in HS in the series but slowly coming out of it later in the series—I just won’t touch that. I won’t do a high school au. You can still request these characters but they’re gonna be grown-grown. Over 25 grown. We’ll explore their lives as pro heroes for example. Gimmi men in their late 20’s to early 40’s thanks god amen.

• Off limits kinks: Gore, Vore, Scat, Diaper stuff.

I will write kink! Of course! Like I said, there’s smut in like all my fics, even if they’re a slow burn. I love story/plot with my porn. But that doesn’t mean I’m opposed to writing some porn without plot!

I finally feel okay enough to do New Year’s Resolutions coming up here. I’m excited. It’s been a couple of years since I felt up for something like this so i feel like it means I’m really changing and healing.

Anyways, first goal is pre-New Year - I am unpacking and WILL have my room 90% complete before the New Year hits.

Post New Year, I’m definitely doing:

1. Draw Every Day. (Already kinda been doing this one but happy to have it as a goal.)

2. First draft of a comic. (Two years ago I came out with 30 pages of a comic - the goal was a concise project I could finish so that I could see if comics were something I really wanted to do. Some personal shit blew up in my life and I couldn’t muster myself to finish the draft. But I wanna do it THIS YEEEAR.

3. I wanna go back to posting outfits of the day (or outfits of the week I think would be more realistic.) I wanna see if I can plan outfits for everything in my closet and donate anything I don’t use anymore and gauge if I want any additions in the future.

I have other things I want to do but they’re less hard goals and more just “try and do more of this”:

- dentist

- regular hydration

- stretching

- crafting

I’m a communications major, a writer, I work retail, and I volunteer. LGBTQ+ family. Pantheist. Leftist. My birthday is on Halloween. I have ridiculously shitty music taste. I love the rare times it rains here in AZ and would happily move somewhere where it rained all the time. I love space and good conversation and my kids more than anything. This blog is 99% Ben Schwartz content. I love him. I respect the hell out of him. And he’s just so, so silly. I cherish the things that make me smile when it feels impossible. He’s also super cute?? The other 1% is the socialism that’s on the label. More on that later.

On Schwartz:

Favorite character: Anthony Scarapiducci (don’t ask me why, I still don’t know. So much of him is such a facade. Ben said Tony “wants to show that he's not just a piece of s*** and that what he's doing matters.” I’ll do a whole post on Tony someday ILHSM

Favorite movie: I am a huge Sonic fan (since the 90s!), so those movies are huge. Standing Up, Falling Down is way up there

What made me a fan: he’s always made me laugh, but sharing some videos with my kid had me falling down the IMDb rabbit hole. It’s hard to watch so much content in a row and not fall in love with the guy. I’m also a big fan of ridiculous stories with authentic characters. Give me a good work of fiction with the most believable people running around in it. Ben is so endearing that, no matter how over the top he is, I totally buy what he’s selling every single time. Plus I’m a big improv fan and that boy can sing, so whats not to love

I also randomly started tagging “any excuse for a Josh Bath gif” and have had a few people tell me they watched the Earliest Show because of that and I cannot explain how happy that made me

On Socialism:

Socialism is the framework of a government that takes care of its people. I could break off into facets of leftism and talk theory all day - but my stance is literally “take care of each other.” The phrase “from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs” (popularized by Karl Marx) means a lot to me, as does the Spanish idiom “hoy por ti, mañana por mi” (today you, tomorrow me). I volunteer with a kindness organization (feel free to ask me which one). I have been working together among local folks to build and strengthen mutual aid hubs in our communities. I also do water distro and deliver other Heat relief supplies to unsheltered folks

This space will not be used to preach (but I am an ordained minister if you’re needing one 😆), nor will or be used much to educate. The socialist side of this page is more about being actively present in the world I believe in

1. How often do you read fanfiction these days, specifically Harry Potter fanfiction?

2. Do you have any good recommendations for anything to read, fanfic or otherwise, or want to share what you're reading?

3. Have you heard of/read Certain Dark Things by evejensen (rentachii)? It's a female Harry Potter fanfiction with future Snarry, it is really creative and has some great characterizations. I consider it similar quality to TNER/NJE (though not quite as good imo but up there).

i hadn't read any in yeeears until the other day.

i started with @perverse-idyll's stuff - rereading some old faves, then the new updates. then somebody reminded me of @rex-luscus "All Beasts Are Happy" so I reread those chapters, then bounced to a Snupin fic called "Have Your Cake and Eat It" (the ending isn't altogether happy) and since then I've been reading a Snape & Harry mentor fic, "O Mine Enemy."

People have mentioned that fic to me, but I've yet to read it! I didn't want to read it while I'm still working on mine cuz I get influenced by stuff and I've been wanting to maintain my little bubble ^^ But one day! :)

Highschool/College AU: Who is the straight-A student, and who’s the backrow slacker? Buck is the backrow slacker, Eddie is the jock, and Kaeden is the straight-A student

Rivals to loves AU: Who takes their rivalry seriously, and who is half in it just to push the other’s buttons? Buck takes it seriously for sure. Eddie is half in it to push his buttons, Kaeden is telling them they're both ridiculous

Enemies to lovers AU: Which one switches sides? Kaeden would switch sides for Buck and Eddie

Pirate AU: Who is the pirate? Who is the member of the royal family who did not sign up for this? Prince Eddie running away and joining Captain Buck's ship, Kaeden being Eddie's knight that ran after him

Childhood best friends AU: Which one was super obviously in love with the other the whole time? Who was oblivious until they were older?
