there would never be a dull day if woonhak was living with you… literally. there’s always one thing or another happening around you guys, and you guys always make the most of it. 

like, there was one time when woonhak insisted that you teach him some of the yoga/pilates things you’ve been doing in your freetime, saying something like “it can’t be that hard…”

oh boy. poor guy was shaking just using a foam roller and doing a couple of exercises with it while you were nearly crying from laughter. 

“you won’t even be able to use a reformer!!”

“sh-shut up!! yes i can!!”

but even when you guys bicker with each other like that, woonhak is still someone that you can rely on for anything.

sometimes there are just days where you don’t want to do anything and just want to stay home, but he forces you to get up and do something, even if that’s going on a short little walk with him outside for some fresh air or just being next to his warmth while he’s doing homework for some of his classes, listening to his voice talking about random things to make you feel better.

he always has food prepared for you on those days – not processed, delivered food, but actual homemade food that he made, freshly prepared for you to eat.

“... thanks, woon.”

“you have to do the dishes.”

“are you kidding me???”

throwing tantrums-

cue the hundreds of videos of woon on the floor throwing a tantrum…

if something doesn’t go his way… this is definitely the type of move he would pull out of his pocket.

FOR EXAMPLE. if something goes wrong w the game he’s playing, he would lay on the floor and start doing this, causing you to run out of the kitchen, not even caring about the flour from your apron leaving a trail behind you as you stare at his flailing body.

of course. just when you're making your favorite cookies to eat during the weekend...

“... woon…?”

“oh my GOD i literally cannot beat this level this is absolutely horrible i’m so bad at this game–”

“woon– oh my god–” you run over and reach out to him to grab his hand holding the flailing controller, putting it down and grabbing both his wrists, successfully putting them above his head as you stare down at him. he finally stops and sighs, looking into your eyes.

“you know, sometimes i wonder if i’m babysitting a child or if i’m living with my boyfriend.”

woon scoffs, all thoughts about the game forgotten as he swiftly switches your positions so that he was on top of you now.

“well, obviously your boyfriend, right?” he gives you a mischievous smile before he starts tickling your sides, getting flour all over his clothing and face before you’re finally able to make him stop.

yes, throwing a tantrum means you have to go and calm him down… which also means this happens every single time too. you still haven’t quite figured out a way to get out of the situation, which wasn't good because woon was getting better day by day at finding your weak spots.

"woon – oh my god – let go of me! my cookies are going to burn!"

"not until you say that i'm the bestest boyfriend in the world."

coparenting a pet-

now, although you insisted that you have enough on your hands with woon in the house, he always wanted to get a pet – a pet dog, specifically. you’ve always said no because that would be too much of a commitment for you guys. but… for his birthday, you finally decided to give in – all the while doing a small prank.

see, you packaged a couple of cute dog toys and gave it to him on the morning of his birthday. he opened them up, happy to see the plushies but a little confused. 

“aren’t these for… dogs…?”

you couldn’t help but smile. “check outside.”

his eyes light up immediately and he zooms out of the room, and you follow him with your phone recording, watching as he picks up the dog from the box that you bought him in and had left outside just a couple minutes ago, the small brown furball nearly disappearing in his arms.

his eyes look at yours with a look of wonder and joy, and he smiles so wide, making your heart warm just by looking at the two of them together. he puts down the dog softly on the floor and immediately pulls you into his embrace, his large hand covering the back of your head and burying himself into your scent by snuggling into the crevice of your shoulder.

“thank you so much, love.”

and in second period we got the first out of two goals from Haula hoop! his second goal coming in the third period! my favorite uncle also almost got a hatty, but his stick broke :( criminal! it’s okay, he got the hatty in my eyes AND in my heart, and that’s the only hatty that matters! 🫶

and finally, before we got to holla for Haula-back girl’s second, we got a goal from my amazing, one-of-a-kind, brilliantly spectacular, so babygirl, the guy who stayed up until 2am on a game night and spun me around the house while we listened to 1989 (TV), everyone’s favorite, JACKY!!! this goal brought him up to 18 points in 7 games, which is 9 less games than it took him last season! i’m so proud of you, babygirl! you’re a star and you’re shining your light!

“what’s on your mind, love?” kai asks as you two walk hand in hand near the calm, glistening pond.

you hum in slight exhaustion. still, a small smile forms on your face hearing your boyfriend’s voice after the comfortable silence between you two.

“nothing, i promise!” you do your best to reassure. you bring your intertwined hands in the air and move them back and forth as you continue to stride along the path.

“tsk, didn’t know we were lying to each other now,” kai shakes his head in a teasing manner. despite his actions, his words were serious enough. “c’mon, y/nnie. you were quiet throughout the entire dinner.”

ah, yes. kai and his members were back in town after the first half of their tour. tonight was kai’s birthday and you all decided to eat out in celebration of his special day. you were ecstatic seeing your boyfriend after all these months. seeing his pretty face in person after those daily facetime calls was much more than you could ask for. catching up with his friends was also a neat bonus, you missed them too.

it was too bad you weren’t exactly in your best mood. lately you haven’t been feeling like yourself. getting up in the morning has taken you longer, your sleep schedule has become inconsistent, you overthink everything you do now. not to mention, you haven’t felt great about your appearance recently. you’ve thought of confiding to kai about this, but he’s been so excited about his performances that you didn’t want to bring him down.

still, you can only handle so much burden.

you sigh in defeat and warn him in advance. “i don’t want to ruin your birthday with my stuff, bub.”

kai stops you both in your place which forces you to bring your gaze from the ground onto him, slightly off guard.

“we’re not going home until you do,” kai’s eyes glimmer in the moonlight, ensuring this safe space. “i mean- talk to me, not ruin my birthday.”

“i’ve just been in a funk, kai,” you eventually give in, staring at the water ahead. “i haven’t been feeling great mentally and physically and it’s taking a toll on me. even tonight, i was staring at myself in the mirror longer than usual! it’s like anything i do, wear, or say isn’t right and i don’t know what to do at this point.”

kai remains silent and thoroughly listens to your rant. with each word he traces small shapes on your hand, a habit of his you loved. he hasn’t done anything and he’s already soothing you.

“why didn’t you tell me sooner?” he asks in a whisper.

“i- you have a lot going for you, i didn’t think you’d understand,” now that you say it out loud, it’s a little unfair for you to assume something like that. your boyfriend was a star, not avoidant of feelings like this.

“and i…didn’t want to be a buzzkill,” you mumble under your breath while kicking a nearby pebble to the pond.

you both watch the stone trickle along the water creating the path it does. you glance up at kai, who sucks his right cheek in as he bites the inside in thought. he was too naturally cute to you, which has your eyes smile.

“baby, i was feeling the exact same way not too long ago,” kai mentions the truth that shocks you momentarily. you felt a sense of remorse, were you too focused on yourself to realize?

“you were?” you nearly gasp, upset with yourself.

“why do you think i barely showed my face while we talked on the phone?” kai reminds in a lighthearted manner. “at this point you’ve memorized my forehead.”

your lips form an o shape as you take in his confession, unsure of what to say next. kai fills in the empty void and continues to add on.

“i’ve had plenty of days like that,” kai reminisces as he longingly stares ahead before looking back at you in an admiring gaze.

“how do you make them go away?” your voice nearly cracks, almost like you’ve given up.

kai tilts his head as he thinks up to the stars before staring at the one standing right next to him.

“i’ve found that keeping yourself busy distracts you from those thoughts,” he responds. “or treating and enjoying yourself with the little things.”

“it’s hard to do that when you’re away,” you admit in a mutter, a pout following your words. the action brings you and kai to a smile.

“i know my love, but tour is almost over,” kai reassures while kissing your hands. a giggle escapes from you and kai excitedly reacts, pointing his free hand at you in a gotcha moment. “see, you can enjoy yourself!”

you try to hide your smile after he says that to mess with him and kai facepalms in a frown. he glances at the trail ahead and heads over there, letting go of your hand in the process. you follow behind him, confusion taking over you as there’s nothing special about this area.

kai kneels down on the ground and starts collecting stemless flowers. his palm eventually becomes busy with several colors and he stands up, not quite satisfied yet. your mouth opens in attempt to speak, but it’s interrupted with pondering sounds coming from kai as he walks over to the other side, seemingly in search of something else.

you stay in your spot as all you can see is his back, but it appears like he’s crafting something. it’s not until he turns around and walks over to you with a completed twine and those flowers all around it. he made you a flower crown on the spot.

“maybe this can bring you happiness these upcoming days,” kai says as he places the crown on your head with light hands. his touch was always so delicate. “you’re already feeling better, aren’t you?”

“i guess,” you tease with your eyes rolled, that smile coming right back. kai returns the favor as he admires you in awe seeing his creation compliment you so well.

“here, back up a little,” he instructs all of a sudden, but you do as you’re told.

kai reaches in his pocket for his cell phone and whips out his camera app. you catch along and start protesting with your hands covering your face, but he urges you with pleads and cute clap backs. you can’t resist, and eventually bring yourself to showcase your biggest grin in your beautiful flower crown that your boyfriend made.

“now this is the best gift i could ask for,” he nearly says to himself as the camera shutters. this would become his new lockscreen.

you return back to kai and he welcomes you in his arms. you fit right in his embrace and you two begin to head off back home where cuddling, more talks, and movie binges await you before he leaves the next day.

Lance has a lot to deal with: Lucifer who is trying to use him to destroy the world(?), his girlfriend who wants to have sex with him, his other dad who kinda killed him, his brother who is back from the dead, his mortal enemy who is now living in his home, and of course his home being invaded by shadowhunters. Hopefully, he'll figure out how to deal with some of them x

“So,” Dad started carefully, his tone measured. “David and I thought about what you guys said, and we want you to know we hear you and value your boundaries.”

“Did you read that in a book about how to talk to your troubled teenager?” Lance rolled his eyes.

“We hear you,” Papa repeated, emphasizing the words with patience. “And we want you to feel comfortable in your own home.”

“Kinda hard to do that when people are throwing daggers in the corridors and dissecting demons in our kitchen,” Lance grumbled.

“Baby, hate to break it to you, but that’s pretty standard for shadowhunters,” Dad said with a chuckle.

“And technically,” Papa added gently, “the corridors and kitchen are communal spaces now. You’re going to have to learn to share them, Lance.”

Lance opened his mouth, ready to complain again, when Arthur came skipping down the stairs, practically vibrating with excitement. “Oh my god! Blanket fort! It’s a blanket fort!”

“As I was saying,” Dad cleared his throat, attempting to regain control. “We want you to have your own space.”

“So, you made us a blanket fort?” Lance raised an eyebrow. “We’re not five.”

“It’s so pretty!” Arthur squealed, clutching Lance’s arm with unbridled glee. “Daddy, it’s so pretty!”

“Thanks, AJ, I put a lot of effort into it,” Dad huffed. “And for the record, this is private property. I’ve put wards on it so no one can come in without your permission.”

“It’s bigger on the inside!” Arthur shouted from somewhere within. “Lance, it’s bigger on the inside!”

Oh.

Okay, that was kind of cool.

“How big?” Lance asked skeptically.

“Oh my god, there’s a TV room and a music room!” Arthur’s voice grew more muffled as he wandered further in.

“Your father worked really hard on this, Lance,” Papa noted softly, touching his arm. “You could at least say thank you.”

“Well, actually, it was David’s idea,” Dad admitted with a chuckle. “So, you should thank him—”

“Oh my god, thank you, Dad, thank you, Papa, and I’d like to thank the Academy,” Lance drawled dramatically, rolling his eyes before poking his head through the soft blankets. “So, uh, when you said I can bring other people…how does that work exactly?”

“Lance, for the love of God, do not turn my beautiful blanket fort into a fuckpad!” Dad groaned.

“Darling, please don’t say ‘fuckpad’ in front of the children,” Papa interrupted, groaning too.

“I’m going to explore,” Lance announced, stepping through the entrance and pushing the blankets aside with his cane. He paused briefly, looking back over his shoulder. “Thanks.”

I just love how much detail is in the house or on the tree to the right hand side here.

And the little flowers just outside I see you. so cute!

Now inside the House is just so incredible looking.

The small details on the blanket on the bed, or the pictures on the wall. The fact that you can make out what they are at this distance is just so cool okay.

Again, the details on the items on the shelf, or in the flowers in the top right-hand corner.

It's just incredible how detailed stuff is and I love it.

it's mod 🐛's birthday today :DDDD everyone pls wish her a happy birthday, she was the person who decided to make this account and puts so much passion and fun behind it. she's also responsible for most of the stats that we run for the white boys, and does most of the poll postings. we wouldn't even have white boy of the year if it wasn't for her (or josh hutcherson)

but besides all of that, she's also my best friend! we met in the beginning high school but properly became friends in junior year (in APUSH class lmfao), and i wouldn't change it for the world. i love yapping to you about arcane, taylor swift, interview with the vampire, x men, good omens, conan gray, football, all those sorts of things. and even though we don't go to school together anymore, it's a blessing to text you every single day reminding you that it's going to be a good day, and also trying to one-up each other in connections :))
