I Want to Be Santa Claus - Story Translation
Tumblr media
[Prologue]
Tumblr media
Ryoga: (Alright, now that practice is over, I can go see Chibisuke.)
Tumblr media
Ryoma: Practice ended pretty early today, didn’t it? It’s not even noon yet.
Kikumaru: Well, it’s Christmas Eve. And we’re gonna have a party tonight, it’ll be fun~
Ryoga: Happy birthday, Chibisuke!
Ryoma: Big Bro. So you remembered my birthday.
Ryoga: Of course I did. You really thought your dear older brother would forget?
Kikumaru: I’ve said it before, but I think it’s so cool that your birthday’s on Christmas Eve.
Ryoma: Well, thanks for remembering. See ya.
Ryoga: Not so fast. Since it’s Christmas, let’s go pay a visit to the Christmas market.
Ryoma: A Christmas market? In Japan?
Kikumaru: I saw the commercial on TV too. Apparently it’s being held at this big park and they have stalls with Christmas food and other goodies.
Ryoga: That’s the one. The perfect way to spend Christmas, amirite?
Ryoma: Hmm. Well, I don’t have any plans after this, so I guess I can come along.
Ryoga: Great, done and done.
Ryoma: But how we do we get there from here? It’s at some big park, so it’s probably pretty far, right?
Mizuki: We’ll be able to take the train there.
Kikumaru: Mizuki. So you’re interested in the Christmas market too?
Mizuki: I am. It looks like an interesting event, so I’m planning on going with Yuuta after this.
Yuuta: They’re selling limited edition Christmas sweets and fresh roasted chicken and all this other good stuff.
Kikumaru: But what’s so special about chicken during Christmas?
Yuuta: Oh, yeah… it is just regular old chicken, I’ve never really thought about it before.
Tohno: Hey, that’s actually a pretty good point.
Kikumaru: Wha…
Tohno: People trying to make everything all festive and Christmas-y while not knowing its original meaning.
Mizuki: If you’re talking about the chicken, I already know the answer to it.
Mizuki: Since I’ll be hosting tonight’s party, I’d be able to explain it to you all, if you’d like?
Tohno: Just being a know-it-all is a bore. Why don’t you come up with something entertaining yourself?
Mizuki: Wha… excuse me?
Ryoga: Hey, now. Why are you getting so heated over Christmas?
Tohno: I just hate how half-assed it is. If you wanna liven things up and have fun, then you gotta be thorough about it.
Yuuta: Yeah… you do got a point.
Kikumaru: Yeah. It would be cool to look more into the meaning of it and enjoy it in your own way.
Kikumaru: If we went to the Christmas market, we could see and learn all kinds of things. I think I’ll invite everyone else from Seigaku too.
Ryoma: Huh, so now more people are gonna come?
Ryoga: The more the merrier, right? Well, let’s all get going.
[Episode 1]
Tumblr media
Ryoga: This Japanese Christmas market’s a lot bigger than I was expecting.
Ryoma: There’s so many stalls. Plus the decorations are incredible, it actually looks pretty nice.
Ryoga: Right. Plus I heard the whole market is lit up at night.
Oishi: There’s some kind of outdoor stage over there too, what do they have planned with it?
Yuuta: They’re gonna be holding a Christmas concert. You can read about it on this flyer.
Mizuki: Well, well… it appears they’ll have a gospel choir and brass band performing. Maybe I’ll check it out later on.
Kikumaru: Huh? Where did Fuji and Taka-san go, they were just with us.
Oishi: The two of them decided to visit this big advent calendar on display.
Kikumaru: Advent…?
Ryoga: It’s just a calendar to countdown to Christmas.
Ryoma: It’s basically a wooden house with little drawers in it that are marked with the days until Christmas…
Ryoma: And each day you open a drawer there’s candy or other stuff inside.
Kikumaru: I see. Sounds cool.
Ryoga: They have a massive one on display, and they also have smaller ones over at this stall.
Mizuki: Ah, so this is what you’re referring to. It says it’s a sample product, but you’re still allowed to open the drawers.
Yuuta: Hm. Wonder what’s in them.
Mizuki: Well let’s open one and see, shall we.
Tumblr media
Mizuki: So this one… has a candy inside.
Yuuta: A calendar with a different candy each day would be cool.
Mizuki: Not everything inside has to be candy, you know?
Mizuki: But regardless, it would be fun to count down the days to Christmas with one.
Ryoma: I wanna see what’s in the drawers in that big one on display.
Yuuta: Right. Maybe they’ll have these giant candies.
Ryoga: You wanna go check it out, too?
Kikumaru: Oh, well there’s some other stalls I wanna check out, so I’ll catch up with you guys later.
Oishi: I’ll go with you.
Ryoga: Gotcha. Welp, see ya.
Oishi: What did you want to see?
Kikumaru: Tree ornaments. There’s a tree at the camp that hasn’t been decorated yet.
Kikumaru: I talked with the staff and they said I could decorate it if I bought the ornaments.
Oishi: Oh, yeah? There’s a stall right around here that’s selling all kinds of them.
Kikumaru: Oh, so there is. Here’s some ball ornaments, and some holly ornaments.
Kikumaru: But they’re all pretty basic, aren’t they? It’s gonna be hard trying to pick out ones I actually like~
???: See, I knew you guys weren’t putting any thought into it!
Oishi: Wha…
[Episode 2]
Tumblr media
Tohno: See, I knew you guys weren’t putting any thought into it!
Oishi: Wha…
Omagari: Sheesh. You yelled so loud I thought something happened, but you were just calling out to those middle schoolers.
Tohno: Well I couldn’t just stay quiet and let those halfwits half-ass what they’re doing.
Tohno: If you’re gonna celebrate Christmas, then it’s only right that you celebrate it thoroughly and with its original meaning in mind.
Kikumaru: I’m trying, but… do the decorations have any meaning?
Tohno: Holly was used to ward off evil, and ornaments represent an abundant harvest.
Tohno: There’s always meaning and customs in the things you prepare for this. If you don’t follow those customs, then you can’t call them Christmas decorations.
Kikumaru: So, I guess that means we should stick with the status quo. But I was wanting unique decorations…
Oishi: Well, yeah… but maybe you could make the basic decorations look unique by using different colors?
Kikumaru: Different colors…
Tohno: Hey, now that’s a good idea!
Oishi: Oh… thank you very much.
Tohno: But you have to be smart when using different colors too. It’s become a whole lot harder now, hasn’t it~?
Tohno: But you’re the one who raised the bar on yourself, so that’s on youuuuuu!
Kikumaru: Nice going Oishi, you’ve raised the bar…
Oishi: No, I was just making a suggestion…
Tanegashima: Hey-o. I’ve got meat pies.
Tanegashima: Oh, there’s middle schoolers here too. Looks like everyone’s gettin’ merry on Christmas Eve~☆
Omagari: Was the stall crowded?
Tanegashima: It isn’t now. That tree over there’s starting to light up, so it looks like people are flocking in that direction.
Omagari: That one there? It does glow beautifully, even during the daytime.
Tohno: There’s a toy soldier hanging from the tree. They’ve got pretty good taste, don’t they?
Tanegashima: I’m pretty sure that’s just a basic decoration, but you really like it?
Tohno: I think it’d be great inspo for an Execution! I’m gonna take a closer look!
Omagari: Man, doesn’t matter what he sees, he’s always thinking of executions. That figures.
Tanegashima: Atsu’s very committed, especially when it comes to his Executions. He’s always got his antenna up.
Oishi: True… that must be why he said Christmas should be celebrated thoroughly.
Tanegashima: Yeah, maybe so. Or he’s just the type of guy who wants people to put in the effort with what they’re doing.
Kikumaru: Yeah, true…
Kikumaru: Well, let’s put in all the effort we can then. We’ll pick out decorations with creative colors.
Oishi: Yeah. Let’s do it.
[Episode 3]
Tumblr media
Yuuta: These chocolate strawberries are so good!
Mizuki: And they said these chocolate-covered apple desserts are exclusive to this market.
Mizuki: There’s many families visiting here as well. This certainly does seem to be an event that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
Yuuta: Yeah. It is Christmas after all, I even saw some kids buying gifts.
Mizuki: That’s right, there will be a gift exchange at tonight’s party, have you gotten anything yet?
Yuuta: I haven’t yet. I’ve been checking out all the stalls, but I don’t know what to buy.
Mizuki: Why don’t you try getting something you would be happy to receive?
Yuuta: Mmm… for me, that’d be sweets. Maybe we can check them out?
Mizuki: Of course. There’s a sweets stall right around the corner, let’s go check it out.
Ryoma: They’re doing another street performance over there. Juggling this time.
Ryoga: Wow. I still think the clown walking on stilts was pretty cool, though.
Ryoma: Hm…? They’re selling socks over here. They look a little big, though.
Ryoga: A little. But with your size Chibisuke, you could fit your whole body into one, huh?
Ryoma: Don’t treat me like a kid.
Ryoga: Kakaka. I’m just kidding.
Ryoga: But stockings do take me back.
Ryoma: What do you mean?
Ryoga: Back in the US, we’d put letters in our stockings asking Santa for gifts.
Ryoga: I thought we could spend Christmas together like we did back then. It’s been so long, though.
Ryoma: What’s wrong. You’re getting all deep all of a sudden.
Ryoga: Mm. Yeah, maybe?
Ryoga: If there’s anything you want, just let me know by the end of tonight.
Ryoga: I’ll let Santa know too.
Ryoma: Are you treating me like a kid again?
Ryoga: Hey, now. Santa only visits good kiddos, remember?
Ryoga: C’mon, let’s go check out the other stalls.
Ryoma: Hey, don’t pull me…
Ryoma: Jeez, you’re a handful, Big Bro.
[Episode 4]
Tumblr media
Kintarou: Hey, hey! Why don’t they sell any takoyaki~?
Chitose: Kin-chan, this is a Christmas market, they’re not gonna have takoyaki everywhere like Osaka.
Ishida: But the octopus is red and the seaweed’s green. They could sell it as Christmas colors.
Chitose: Well, that is one way to look at it. Maybe they do sell it somewhere.
Chitose: Let’s browse the stalls while we look for some takoyaki, okay?
Kai: Hey, Rin. That scarf looks so thick and fluffy and warm.
Kai: …Huh, he’s gone?
Chinen: He left to go get something to drink.
Chinen: …Wait, Kei-kun’s not here either.
Kite: He went to the stalls over there to purchase some hot food.
Kai: Everyone’s all over the place.
Kite: They can do whatever they want to do.
Kai: Whoa, they have a plush toy shaped like a tree. How cool.
Chinen: They’ve got all kinds of Christmas costumes too. I’m gonna look for a black Santa suit in the sale cart.
Kai: Black Santa suit?
Chinen: Fufu… I wanna be a black Santa that’ll scare all the naughty little children.
Kintarou: Huhhh! Mister, you’re gonna be Santa?
Ishida: A black Santa costume, that’d be a cool way to change things up.
Chitose: There is a party tonight, maybe I should look for something too.
Kite: Oh, so you’re all here too.
Kintarou: If you’re gonna be Santa, then please give me a present.
Chinen: Yes, right… if you’re a good little boy, then I’ll give you a present. But if you’re a naughty little boy, then I might take you away somewhere.
Kintarou: I’m a good boy!
Ishida: That’s right, Kintarou-han’s been working real hard in tennis.
Chinen: Yes, yes, I see. Alright, then I’ll give you one of the cookies I just bought.
Kintarou: Yay! I got a present!
Kite: You certainly are kind for a black Santa.
Chinen: That’s because he wasn’t a naughty child. I’m saving the scares for the naughty children… fufu…
Kai: Well I’ve been a good boy too, so does that mean I get a present?
Kite: And just what makes you believe that? Once you’ve made up for all the times you were tardy, then you can talk.
Tanishi: Hey, guys! There’s these huge sausage kebabs over here!
Kai: Whoaa, those look so good. I’m gonna go buy one too.
Kintarou: Sounds great. I’ll go have one too!
Kite: So carefree… the lot of you.
Chitose: But it’s Christmas, so it’s good to have fun. These happy vibes are actually pretty nice.
[Episode 5]
Tumblr media
Ryoga: Here, Chibisuke. I bought you some hot chocolate, this oughta warm you up a little.
Ryoma: Thank you. Looks good.
Tumblr media
Ryoma: Whew… whew…
Ryoga: Too hot?
Ryoma: I just don’t wanna burn my tongue.
Ryoga: Oh snap, that is really hot. I’ll let mine cool off too.
Ryoga: By the way, have you seen anything you liked at the stalls?
Ryoma: Nope… Why?
Ryoga: I already told you. I’m gonna tell Santa what you want.
Ryoma: This joke again. You’ve been teasing me all day.
Ryoga: (He thinks it’s a joke? Man, this kid…)
Krauser: Ryoma, Merry Christmas!
Ryoma: Merry Christmas. So you came with them, Krauser.
Yagyuu: He saw the ad of this place on the TV and invited me.
Niou: I came along since there’s stuff I wanted to buy, but this place is actually pretty nice.
Krauser: So you came with your brother, Ryoma. I’m jealous that you’re able to spend Christmas with your family.
Ryoma: Really? We just happened to be around each other today.
Ryoga: Oh c’mon, quit lying. You know you chose to stick with me.
Niou: How about you try some of this magic gum? Eat this, and it’ll make you honest in no time.
Krauser: I tried it earlier and it made me very honest. I highly recommend it!
Yagyuu: Uh no, it’s snapping gum…
Krauser: Yagyuu-san, you ruined the prank.
Ryoma: Yeah, I’m gonna pass on that then.
Niou: Aw man, you’re no fun.
Ryoma: Heh… you’ve got a ways to go.
Ryoga: (…Chibisuke’s looking like he’s having fun.)
Yagyuu: By the way, there’s a Christmas concert being held soon, will you be going?
Ryoma: It’s an outdoor stage. It’ll probably be too cold to just sit still and listen to the performance.
Niou: I wouldn’t worry too much about that. Apparently there’s heaters placed at the foot of the seats.
Ryoma: Huh, it shouldn’t be too bad then… Okay, let’s go.
Ryoma: Hey, get a move on, Big Bro.
Ryoga: Hey, hey, don’t just leave me behind.
Ryoga: (I was hoping I could find out what gift he wants.)
Ryoga: …Being Santa isn’t easy.
[Episode 6]
Tumblr media
Ryoma: They had so many singers, they were all extraordinary.
Ryoga: That choir was legit, wasn’t it. They performed the usual Christmas songs but their take on them was pretty refreshing.
Krauser: I was surprised to see a koto being played with the brass band! It was very Japanese!
Yuuta: Whoa… the wind’s strong…
Mizuki: Now that we’re away from the heaters, it’s going to feel extra cold.
Tohno: Huh? How pathetic, you’re shivering so much over this?
Ryoma: So you watched the concert too, senpai.
Tohno: Their performance wasn’t that bad to listen to.
Mizuki: It was a very nice concert. The music was superb, but the host’s presentation was excellent as well.
Krauser: He also shared a lot of knowledge about Christmas. It was very interesting.
Mizuki: I learned methods on livening things up with conversational skills and when to take breaks for tonight’s party, it was very informative as well.
Ryoma: Oh that’s right, you are hosting tonight’s party, huh.
Mizuki: Yes, I even prepared a script as the host that I’ve been working on as we speak, I intend to hold a fun party.
Tohno: That sounds great!! I’m looking forward to it, okay?
Mizuki: Oh…
Tohno: Well you said it yourself, you’re putting in the effort as a host, so everyone at the camp should at least get excited over that.
Tohno: But if you end up letting us down, it’s not gonna be pretty.
Mizuki: …Yes, of course, I understand.
Yuuta: Mizuki-san… I’m rooting for you!
Mizuki: Worry not, I will ensure that it will be a fun party.
Mizuki: …It will, it absolutely will.
Ryoga: Not getting a lil’ nervous, are you?
Mizuki: As if I would. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I must finish the preparations for tonight.
Yuuta: Oh, I’ll head back with you. I think I’ve seen enough of the market.
Tohno: I should head back and do one last checkup on some things.
Krauser: What will you two do now?
Ryoma: Why don’t we head back too, Big Bro? It’s getting really cold again.
Ryoga: Yeah… I’ve still got things I wanna do. You can go on ahead without me.
Ryoma: Oh…
Ryoga: Alrighty… time to start working as Santa.
[Episode 7]
Tumblr media
Clerk: Thank you very much.
Ryoga: …Okay, got it.
Ryoga: (Chibisuke said he didn’t want anything… but when we were together, he kept eyeballing this.)
Mouri: Oh, hey.
Kabaji: Good evening.
Ryoga: Oh, it’s kinda weird seeing you all together.
Ochi: We just happened to run into each other at the moment.
Mouri: Did you come to buy Christmas presents?
Ryoga: I actually plan on becoming Santa. Don’t tell anyone else what I bought, please.
Atobe: I see, so it’s a secret gift.
Ryoga: Well, yeah. You guys buying gifts for other people too?
Ochi: Mouri gave me a gift this morning, so I came here to return the favor.
Mouri: It was just a lil’ something to express my gratitude, I didn’t mean to make you feel obligated.
Atobe: I’m getting gifts for all of my club members at the camp.
Atobe: Right, Kabaji, show me the list of what everyone wants.
Kabaji: Right.
Ryoga: That’s nice, so they told you directly what they wanted.
Ryoga: I couldn’t get a straight answer, so I had to pick one I thought they’d like.
Ochi: But if you chose it yourself then that means you put thought into it, right.
Mouri: Yeah, plus I think it’d be a nice surprise.
Ryoga: But if they end up not liking it, I’m gonna be really upset.
Kabaji: When it comes to gifts, I believe people are more happy that you got them something rather than what you got them…
Atobe: Heh, that’s a good point.
Ryoga: Yeah, I get that… I hope that’ll be the case for this.
Kabaji: Why not write a letter and include it with your gift?
Mouri: There you go. A letter would be a great way to express your feelings directly.
Ryoga: That would be a whole lot better than just giving them a present. I’ll give it a try.
Ryoga: I wonder if they sell any stationery around here…
Ryoga: …Oh, I found some good ones.
[Episode 8]
Tumblr media
Ryoma: Man, where did Big Bro run off to…
???: Ho-ho-hooo!
Ryoma: …
Ryoma: …Was that your Santa impersonation?
Ryoga: Yep, pretty much.
Ryoga: I told you you could go on ahead without me, but it looks like you stayed just to look for me.
Ryoma: Yeah, ‘cause you just disappeared and I thought something was wrong.
Ryoga: Everything’s fine, I told you there was some things I wanted to do, didn’t I?
Ryoga: But I’m sorry if I made you feel lonely.
Ryoma: I didn’t feel lonely…
Ryoga: I bet. ‘Specially since you got all these nice friends around you, huh.
Ryoga: I was really glad to see you smiling and having a good time with them earlier today.
Ryoma: Why would you be happy to see me smiling?
Ryoga: Because you’re my little brother, of course I’d be happy to see you happy.
Ryoga: I also figured you’d be fine with me being gone since they’re here, too.
Ryoma: Well, I guess being with them is pretty nice.
Ryoma: But you’re alright to hang out with too, Big Bro…
Ryoma: It feels a little better to have you around than not… Just a little, though.
Ryoga: Aw, what a cute thing to say.
Ryoma: Yeah, never mind. I can’t with your jokes.
Ryoga: I’m being serious here. You little fart~
Ryoma: Can you stop… Quit messing up my hair…
Kikumaru: Oh, there he is. Shorty!
Fuji: You’ll be late to the Christmas party if you don’t head back soon, you know?
Ryoga: Ah, it’s about time now, huh.
Ryoma: …Achoo.
Fuji: Fufu, it’s gotten pretty cold too.
Kikumaru: They were giving away these hand warmers for free. I have some more, so you can use them.
Ryoma: Thanks.
Fuji: Take one too, senpai.
Ryoga: Oh, thank you.
Fuji: …Huh, it’s snowing.
Kikumaru: Huhhh. The forecast didn’t mention it was gonna snow.
Ryoga: But seeing all these lights with the snow sure is beautiful. It’s cold, but maybe it’s lucky that we got to see this.
Ryoma: …Yeah. I’m glad we didn’t leave yet.
[Episode 9]
Tumblr media
Mizuki: Now, let the party commence. Everyone, please raise your glasses of juice.
All: Merry Christmas! …And happy birthday!!
Ryoma: Wha… how’d you all know it’s my birthday?
Kikumaru: Senpai had spread the word about it. We may as well celebrate them together, anyway.
Ryoga: The more people celebrate, the better, right?
Ryoma: Can’t you just mind your own business… well, it’s fine.
Mizuki: —All right, we will now begin the gift exchange.
Mizuki: Exchanging gifts during Christmas time is said to be a custom born out of feelings of mutual consideration for each other.
Mizuki: So let us celebrate this Christmas gracefully, and share our compassion with others.
Tohno: SURPRISE!!!
Oishi: Senpai…?
Mizuki: …Oh, what is it?
Tohno: I’ll take it from here. Not that you’re a bad host or anything, you seem to know what Christmas is all about and have done a good job livening things up.
Mizuki: Nhm. Why, I’m honored.
Tohno: But I wanna spice things up a bit. I’m gonna turn this little gift exchange into an official competition!
Mizuki: What… a competition…?
Tohno: Everyone will draw numbers and choose their gifts in numerical order. The catch is that the even numbers can swap their gift with another person.
Kikumaru: That’s different, but it sounds interesting.
Mizuki: But, weren’t you the one who had said that it’s important to hold these events while upholding its original meaning? Does this not contradict that statement?
Tohno: This kind of competition is popular in Europe and the US. Besides, it’s still a gift exchange.
Tumblr media
Tohno: Look here, these are the numbers you’ll draw that’ll decide which order you’ll pick the presents.
Tohno: And these extra slips are a little gift from me…
Tohno: They’re “Execution Test Subject Tickets”. This is a perfect time to use them!
Oishi: E-Execution test subject…!?
Tohno: I’ve hidden some of these tickets in the presents. Whoever ends up with one will get executed.
Tohno: It’s one of the best surprises you’ll ever receive. Hyaahyaahyaa!!
Mizuki: E-Excuse me!?
Kikumaru: That’s not good… if we choose a gift that has one of those tickets in it, we’ll get executed!
Ryoga: Haha, how fun!
Oishi: Huh…?
Ryoga: It’s a big surprise, but you may as well have fun with it, right?
Ryoma: I won’t care if I end up with one of those execution tickets. I’ll just get my revenge on him.
Kikumaru: Oh, really? You guys really are brothers~
Mizuki: You certainly are brave. Very well, as the host, I will brace myself and join the fun.
Mizuki: Now… let the gift competition commence!
[Episode 10]
Tumblr media
Mizuki: Everyone, this concludes tonight’s entertainment. Please continue to enjoy your meals and merriment to your heart’s content.
Tohno: Keh, the surprise I worked so hard on got ruined…
Mizuki: So it did, all of the upperclassmen ended up with your execution tickets…
Mizuki: But today is the Holy Night of mercy, so why not spend the rest of Christmas Eve peacefully?
Tohno: Hmph… well, I guess I can just give ‘em all a good beating later.
Oni: Hey, that apple pie you like so much is about to run out.
Tohno: Huhh? Please, I’m gonna get some regardless.
Mizuki: *sigh*… I am utterly exhausted…
Kikumaru: Nice job. Big surprise aside, you made it a lot of fun, Mizuki.
Mizuki: It’s only natural that my skills would produce a fun party.
Kikumaru: Nyahaha. Of course, Mizuki.
Kikumaru: Oh, yeah. I’m gonna check out the gift I got.
Tumblr media
Kikumaru: I’m happy to see all this candy in here. But what do you even call this thing…?
Oishi: It’s a Christmas Boot.
Kikumaru: Oh, yeah, that’s a fitting name.
Oishi: Wow, there’s a snowman cookie in there too.
Kikumaru: You want some? Okay, I’ll share it with you, Oishi~
Ryoga: Looks like Christmas Eve’s almost over. Feels like the whole day just flew by.
Ryoma: It does. With going to the Christmas market and this party…
Ryoma: Oh yeah, I know I’m a day late for this. But happy birthday, Big Bro.
Ryoga: Oh wow, the birthday boy just congratulated me. Thank you.
Ryoma: Also, thanks for inviting me to the Christmas market today. It was actually kinda fun.
Ryoga: That’s good. I’m glad.
Tumblr media
Ryoga: (Okay… is Chibisuke fast asleep?)
Tumblr media
Ryoga: (Good… sleeping soundly. I’ll leave his present here, then.)
Ryoma: Mm…
Ryoga: (Crap, is he waking up?)
Ryoma: Big Bro… let’s go to this stall next…
Ryoga: (What the, he’s talking in his sleep. Must be dreaming about today.)
Ryoga: Merry Christmas… and happy birthday, too.
Tumblr media
The following morning—
Tumblr media
Ryoma: A present and Christmas card…? Is this…
Card: “Santa brought you a present, Chibisuke! I hope you like it.”
Card: “I’m glad I got to spend Christmas Eve with you again.”
Ryoma: Heh… typical, Big Bro.
[Epilogue]
The day after Christmas—
Tumblr media
Mizuki: We’ll store these decorations away in this box. Please do not mix any of them up.
Kikumaru: Huhh, I won’t be able to tell the difference. You’re gonna have to label them with magic marker or something~
Mizuki: Just pay attention to the size of the decorations inside, please. We’re sorting them by size.
Tohno: Hey, I already took care of the decorations over there.
Kikumaru: Thank you very much, senpai.
Tohno: I’m not gonna rest until all this stuff’s been taken care of.
Kikumaru: Wow, so thorough.
Kikumaru: And that surprise on Christmas Eve really had us on the edge of our seats, even though it was kinda scary.
Mizuki: Yes, it was. Although it was unexpected, it did make things a lot of fun thanks to you.
Tohno: Kuukuku! Is that so?
Tohno: Maybe I should keep it up and try doing something interesting for New Year’s too, eh?
Tohno: Like maybe we could use actual bodies as the hagoita, and ring in the New Year with screams around the camp, and instead of a happy face in fukuwarai we could do one of anguish…
Mizuki: It’s still too early to be thinking of New Year’s… let’s prioritize cleaning up after Christmas for right now.
Tumblr media
Ryoma: Hah…!
Ryoga: Yo, Chibisuke. You’ve been really going at it with that wall since this morning.
Ryoga: So you’re already out of the Christmas spirit?
Ryoma: Yep. I wanna become even stronger.
Ryoga: It’s always about aiming for the top with you.
Ryoga: That competitive streak hasn’t changed since you were a kid.
Ryoma: Well yeah, I’m not gonna lose to anybody… including you, Big Bro.
Ryoga: Oh-ho, is that right.
Ryoma: How about I show you just how strong I’ve become. Let’s have a serious match today.
Ryoga: …Whoa there. I hate to break it to you, but I’m gonna hold off on that for now.
Ryoga: But if it’s just some simple smackin’ the ball, we can do that all you want.
Ryoma: Tch… whatever.
Ryoma: Alright, let’s take it from here.
Ryoga: Heh… you got it.

Happy 25th birthday for the most handsome Kikumaru actor XD
I can’t believe it’s been almost 6 years since his debut, and since I know him XD Now he’s grown into a handsome (and tall) man, a talented actor with super large fanbase, but still with that same smile he first showed us during Seigaku Farewell Party TvT

Look, the whole "Chocolates situation" was an intelligent punishment planned by Fuji.
He was also watching the program and found out that Kikumaru was the winner and he was really happy for his friend. But the subject wasn't brought up in any of Seigaku's Gossip Club meetings.
You see, Fuji wasn't the president of the Gossip Club, but he was the most dangerous one. Besides, Eiji had seen no problem in forcing him to go on a date with Kurumi-chan just a few days ago, so it was time for *revenge*.
Because it was Eiji, one of his best friends, Fuji wouldn't go too hard on him.
When Oishi told him that his family had too many watermelons at home, he innocently said "Why don't you give some to Eiji? His family is big, I'm sure they would eat it well".
Then, when Inui was walking home with him, Fuji simply suggested that they should go to Eiji's house to give him the homework he "forgot".
From that point on, he trusted destiny: when you put two or more Seigaku's regulars in one place, it was always fun, to put it mildly.
Kaido, as always, showed up randomly, and they invited him in.
Oishi spotting the cake was a stroke of luck that he thanked the gods for. Oishi, soft, caring, trusting Oishi, immediately called Momo and Ryoma, and Fuji was trying to come up with a reason to call them for at least thirty minutes, so he was really satisfied with it. He wouldn't leave both of them out: Ryoma as his favorite kouhai and Momoshiro as the president of the Seigaku's Gossip Club.
The situation escalated to Momo's surprise birthday party and that was something his most detailed plan wouldn't be able to achieve, so he was grateful for Seigaku's chaotic energy.
When Ryoma asked if they had called Kawamura, well, everything was perfect.
Eiji confessed everything and Fuji put his best surprised face and tried not to laugh.
Of course, Inui taking Eiji's place wasn't in his plans. Eiji was one of his best friends and Fuji didn't want him to be sad. So he called the number of the production team (he always had a plan B, because things usually got out of control around Seigaku's regulars) and arranged the new meeting and even some extra pictures.
Eiji thanked everyone and right there Fuji opened his eyes and said "Saa, Eiji, next time you should tell us the truth, ne?"
A shiver ran through Kikumaru's body and he nodded so fast he got dizzy "Don't worry, Fujiko! I'll tell you, nya!"
He saw Ryoma smirking in the corner and his own lips twitched a little too.
"Fuji-senpai, you're really mean, you know"
"I don't know what you're talking, Echizen-kun."
"Anyway, everything got solved in the end, hm?
"Of course."
No one ever dared to keep things like that from the Gossip Club and mess with Fuji again. Unless it was to match him up with Ryoma, but that wasn't unwelcomed at all.

⁂ Beta (Kunimitsu Tezuka)
Tumblr media
Genre: Friendship, Crack ☁
Word Count: 2,240 ☁
Pairing: None ☁
World: Prince of Tennis ☁
Author’s Note: I wrote this fic a long time ago as a present to myself for my 18th birthday. I actually did get that fish in real life and named him that!
━━━━━━༻🌧️༺━━━━━━
You were strong, brave, out-spoken, reckless, stubborn, impatient, easily annoyed, ru – Well, you get the picture. If you had to be compared to someone, it’d be Kaoru Kaidoh of Seigaku. You show nothing but this annoyed, loner facade, but on the inside, you’re actually pretty nice. It’s hard to get close to you and get past your impenetrable fortress, but for those who have succeeded, they are rewarded with a loyal and caring friend. But, that’s nearly an impossible thing to do. It’s rare for you to attach yourself to someone, but when you do, you never let go.
One thing you hated more than anything was shopping, and that wasn’t limited to just clothes shopping, either. Shoes, books, movies, groceries. It didn’t matter.
You hated it all.
Which is why you couldn’t come up with a suitable excuse as to why you, Fuji, Momo, and Eiji were currently in Mal*Wart, looking through their pet section.
You could claim that you did it out of boredom. You could claim that you wanted to do something different for a change. You could claim that you secretly liked shopping.
Or hell, you could even claim that you just loved Mal*Wart, but those were all lies. The truth, however, was too damaging to both your pride and nerves. You would never, never, ever ever ever, admit that you had caved to Kikumaru’s Kiku-Cat Pout, which was about twenty times more powerful than the ever-popular puppy pout. No, you intended to take that fact to your grave.
You didn’t know why the three wanted you to come along, but you did know why they were at Mal*Wart. Momo had found a small kitten on the street the day before and after some serious begging, his mother agreed to let him keep the orange tabby. Being excited as he was, he had invited the whole of Seigaku to go pet shopping with him so he could get food and all the other supplies he would need.
Echizen was first, of course. He blatantly refused and hung up on his senpai. Eiji was next. He agreed before the words left Momo’s lips. Oishi was busy helping out his uncle at the clinic and apologized before getting off the line. Kaoru was completely skipped over. Kawamura was busy helping his dad out around the sushi restaurant. Apparently, they were pretty busy today. Inui was angry because Momo interrupted ‘important research’ on his new drink. He even threatened to make Momo his guinea pig. Momo abruptly hung up the phone. Fuji had nothing to do and agreed. Momo didn’t even get to finish his sentence before his buchou hung up the phone.
You acted a lot like Ryoma, hanging up the phone after giving him an abrupt and firm ‘no’, but that didn’t stop them from showing up at your door and, well, you know the rest.
Momo stood in front of the vast selection of cat food, stressing over which food would be the best for the small animal. It was still just a kitten and he knew he had to be careful about what he bought for it. “Which am I supposed to get? Eiji-senpai? Fuji-senpai? Y/N-senpai?”
Eiji hummed, placing his hand on his chin in thought, the other arm across his chest. His blue eyes scanned the shelves of food before reaching forward and grabbing the first bag that caught his interest. He held the medium-sized bag up and grinned.
Shusuke chuckled. You deadpanned.
Momo sweatdropped, rubbing the back of his head. “E-Eiji-senpai… that’s dog food…”
“Eh?” Eiji blinked, turning the bag around in his outstretched hands so he could read the front. DOG FOOD was written in bold white letters on the front. “Eh?! I thought this was the cat aisle!”
“Mal*Wart is a multi-purpose store. They have too many items to give cats and dogs their own isle,” Shusuke stated with a smile.
Eiji pouted at the bag, setting it back on the shelf half-heartedly.
Shusuke cocked his head to the side. “Saa, let’s see. This,” he picked up a colorful bag claiming to be for kittens and handed it to Momo. “That should be the correct food,”
“‘Should be’? Are you sure, Fuji-senpai?”
“Well,” his smile dropped and he held a hand to his chin. “That’s the only kitten food they have here…”
“Shouldn’t you go to Smartpets or Animalco for this?” you asked boredly, rubbing the back of your head. Mal*Wart was not the place to go when you just got a new pet.
“Maybe Y/N-chan is right,” Eiji rested his arm on your shoulder.
“But Smartpets is expensive!” Momo complained. “I’m on a budget here!”
“Animalco?”
“Animalco is even more expensive!”
While the three boys pondered their situation, you headed over to the aisle behind them where the fish tanks were. You were getting both bored and annoyed and decided to walk around looking at whatever crossed your path to calm your ever raging temper. It always did the trick for some reason.
You passed the tanks and was about to pass the sink when you froze. It was like some invisible force whispering in your ear, telling you to look over. Being someone who strongly believed in following your gut, you looked over. Above the sink was a small shelf, lined with several small round containers. Each container held a Beta fish, each varying in color, but were all about the same size.
You knew from experience that Betas had to be kept separate from other fish, including their own kind. They were loner fish and hated to be together with other fish. It was very rare to find one that got along with others. Other than the loner trait, they were truly beautiful. They came in ranges of colors, some were blues and reds with touches of purple, some were orange and gold. They shimmered like glitter, with tails and fins that looked like silk. They were probably the most beautiful type of fish out there.
When you were younger, you used to have many Betas and they were your favorite type of fish, easy to take care of. Best of all, they didn’t give you headaches or make messes or destroy anything like cats and dogs tended to do. They only bad thing about these fish was that they didn’t have long lives. Even if you take care of them properly, their life is just naturally short. ‘Fate dictates that they be taken away from us early,’ you thought, remember the quote from the anime Katekyo Hitman Reborn.
You walked over, fingers brushing the containers. It felt like someone had a hold on your wrist, guiding it towards one of the containers in the front. Inside was a male Beta, shimmering with blues, reds, and purples, a small white streak standing out among them. It may very well be the most beautiful Beta you’d ever seen.
You gently grabbed the container, so as not to scare the little one, and brought it up to examine him closer. You didn’t understand why, but something was telling you to get this fish and you knew if you didn’t listen to your gut, you’d end up regretting it later. You always did.
Setting the fish down in a safe place, you examined the fish tanks and ornaments that they had. You wanted a big one, but not a huge one meant for many fish. You also wanted it to have a light and a filter. Once you found the perfect one, you proceeded to grab a couple bags of blue and white stones, a sign that said BEWARE OF JAWS!!, and a pirate skull cave complete with a black electric eel swimming from the eye.
Most people would question how you managed to carry all of that stuff without dropping anything or jostling the skittish fish.
Once Momo returned with a buggy – which you had ordered him to go get -, you set the items down. Shusuke raised an eyebrow in question but didn’t voice it. What felt like two hours later, the group paid for the items and left the store.
━━━━━━༻🌧️༺━━━━━━
You stared at the multi-colored fish as he swam around in his new tank. It was obvious that he was in a state of shock. For one, Betas are never too happy with being moved around. Secondly, the bowl he had been in was small, confined, and safe. The tank he was currently in was much larger in size, with rocks and other small ornaments that he wasn’t used to having. You always found it annoying the way people bought teeny tiny little tanks for Betas to live in, without any decoration. What’s the point of having the damn thing?
You wanted to feed him but knew better; he was too shaken up at the moment, and probably wouldn’t touch the food. Since Betas vary, you bought both the pellets and the flakes. From your experience, every Beta you’ve ever had preferred the flakes, but the professionals always say they prefer the pellets. But, what do professionals really know? Or maybe you just always got the weird of the litter. Whatever, it didn’t really matter.
As you stared at the fish, you started to wonder what you should name him. You may not be able to take him out and pet him or perform tricks with him, but he was still a pet, even if you could only look at him and he deserved a name. But, with so many names floating around out there, you had no clue what to call him. It had to be something with meaning, but nothing stupid like ‘Spot’ or ‘Sam’. Seriously, what kind of name is Sam for a freakin’ fish?
“Ah!”
It was like a light bulb lit up over your head. You had thought of the perfect name!
Your lips curled up into a smirk and you gently set your finger on the side of the tank so that you didn’t scare him. You couldn’t wait to introduce the little guy to the team tomorrow.
━━━━━━༻🌧️༺━━━━━━
Since you didn’t want to move the fish around while he was adjusting, you invited the gang over to your house – something which both excited and scared them since you rarely ever did that. With a single hand, you beckoned them upstairs to your bedroom where the fish tank lay on your desk away from the window.
“Is that the fish you bought the other day?” Shusuke smiled, cocking his head to the side as he admired it.
“Yeah. It’s an early birthday present for myself,”
Shusuke nodded without looking at you, leaning down to inspect the tank. He seemed genuinely interested.
“Have you named it yet?” Shuichiro asked softly, leaning down beside Shusuke to get a better look. The shimmering scales and graceful dance brought a smile to his face, just as it had done with Shusuke.
“It’s male,” you paused. “And yeah. The name came to me last night.”
Everyone turned to look at you, thinking you were going to continue and mention the name, but you stayed silent, staring stoically at the tank. The silence and stares continued until, finally, Momo and Eiji exploded.
“Well?!”
“Well what?” you blinked, looking over at the pair. You looked as if you had just snapped out of a trance.
Shusuke bit back a chuckle at the suspense and impatience hanging over his two teammates. “What name did you decide to go with?”
“Oh!” you returned your attention to the fish, shrugging. “Tezubeta,”
“…” Silence.
Everyone stared at you, curiously, wondering if you were going to say that you were joking, but you had returned to your trance, face and eyes showing no hint of a joke or a lie. You had truly named your fish Tezubeta.
“Is that… named after Tezuka?” Oishi glanced at the captain before looking back to you.
“Yep,”
“Not questioning you or anything, senpai, but… why’d you name it after the buchou?” Momo asked, glancing at the stoic male, who had not changed his expression.
“I figure, if you’re gonna name something you care about, it should be after something or someone that means a lot to you. Tezuka would be that person. He’s always been like family to me. So, yeah.”
The team didn’t know how to react. After all, you had never actually confessed to caring about someone before, and here you were, showing your house and your bedroom to the team, all the while confessing that you viewed Kunimitsu Tezuka as family. They had to wonder if you were sick. Or drunk. Or maybe even high. Was it opposite day?
Tezuka pushed his glasses up and walked towards you, resting his hand on your shoulder. Still, his expression did not change.
At first, he didn’t say anything; he just looked at you. The team leaned closer, wondering what their buchou was going to say or do. They inched closer with every passing minute, the suspense and tension growing in the small room. Why the hell did he feel the need to put them through this? They were only kids, for god’s sake! They couldn’t handle this kind of suspense!
Finally, Tezuka spoke. “Don’t let your guard down,”
The whole room, minus Kunimitsu and yourself, fell to the ground, sweatdrops appearing on the back of their heads. Even Tezubeta fell.
Ah, if only his fins were long enough he probably would have facepalmed, as well.

Let’s talk about our favorite actors
Tumblr media
…or why I like a certain actor to be more precise lol. I haven’t been around here much and I’ve just been reading when I have time, so I took @leenaevilin's post as a chance to talk a little about it, because liking an actor can really become a big thing to a fan, especially when you are having a hard time.
If I'm honest, I've been around this fandom for years so I have liked several actors: Aiba Hiroki, Kato Kazuki, Yagami Ren, Baba Toru, Kubota Yuki, Aoki Tsunenori... yeah, Tenimyu actors lol. I've always been a fan of Tenimyu since Hyoutei came out and that was around 2004-2005 so I've been following some actors and the 2.5D fandom since then. And now I don't have a favorite actor but two and I think you already know: Kuroba Mario and Sakiyama Tsubasa.
So better I start using a cut since this was longer than expected orz.
Tumblr media
Let's start with Mario. If I'm honest, I wasn't a big fan of the Golden Pair or Kikumaru, but something about him that is very charming came to my attention when I was watching Tenimyu: his smile (and he was taller than Oishi! lol) and his name. I thought he was such a very sweet Kikumaru... or Kikumario? xD It was funnier when one time, his Seigaku mates "bullied" him a little because he was so quiet compared to the character lol and he actually admited he was totally different from the character as well.
But I think I started to be a real fan when he was casted in Toumyu, so thanks to him, I started to watch the musicals, watch the anime, play the game (I'm not the type to play much so my citadel is still newbie even if I have been playing for almost two years orz) and watch the stage play as well. Also, you can note how much he has improved since Tenimyu, his personality, his acting and his voice, so I feel proud and happy to have been able to see that change. And we are near his birthday so he is going to be 25 soon! So you can say Mario brought me to Touken Ranbu and everything related to that, including... Tsubasa xD
Tumblr media
So now how I met Tsubasa... precisely because of Toumyu lol. Of course, when I first started to like Toumyu and watching the Trial Version and Atsukashiyama Ibun, aside from Mario, the other two actors I already knew were Sato Ryuji and Ohira Shunya. So the other three were new to me, but something about Tsubasa just dragged me to know more about him... and his lips lol. But since I knew nothing about him, I started to investigate and I found a lot of pleasant things actually, like... how can he play so different characters??? He was rather new to the industry and he already had done so much, so I was just amazed by his talent. I still remember I hadn't realized at first the actor who played Abarai Renji in the last Burimyu was actually him lol. And we have something in common... same age lol, but I’m technically older than him by a couple of months orz. But seriously, the fact he has started his acting career in his twenties and everything he had to go through to be where is he is now, makes me love him even more. I feel so proud of him.
At that time, I still wasn't so active in the Toumyu fandom and then I started to buy and share stuff related to Mario at first, but suddenly I started to buy a lot of things about Tsubasa as well xD That was last year and I also started to run the communities here for both of them. And everything was before the Oretabi news lol. Aside from Toumyu, I liked them both separately because they have their own brilliant careers, but the Oretabi news ruined me... they still ruin me actually xD The news, the photos, the events, the posts from both of them with each other and everything we have found out this year, like the fact they are living together from some time already, has become a bliss but at the same time, in a pressure to continue running the communities since I never have much time to stay around. Also, this year hasn't been so good to my real life (issues at work, family issues, especially my closest cousin passing away, health issues and so on) so sometimes I just want to give up everything and continue being a silent fan and supporting them "from the shadows". I still have to fight against that everyday and there are days I feel empty, so I was thinking in closing this Tumblr because even if I have met a few people whom I can talk a little more than sharing stuff, I still feel like a link provider from time to time, because some few people is disrespectful and make you feel like a robot who is available 24/7. But even though all those fights I have to face everyday both here and in real life, even if I want to leave from here, those two always find the way to give me reasons to stay and thanks to that, they have become in such important people to me so far ♥
So no, I'm not closing anything at the moment ^^
Tumblr media
So that's why I said that liking an actor can become in something so important, because even if people have disappointed you, they are still there to cheer you up in so many ways, even if you can't buy a lot of things about them, even if you can't meet them in person or even if you don't know enough Japanese to understand everything. What defines a fan shouldn't be only that. The fact they can make your day brighter even with just a tweet, a photo or a post on their blogs sometimes is enough ^^ But if you can support them by buying their stuff, then do it! *runs away*

you are my favorite medicine, a perfect pair mixtape
Tumblr media
Tezuka leaves Fuji to pick up his pieces.
Listen on 8tracks.
Tracklist:
1. Trouble I’m In - Twinbed
Fuji remembers that once upon a time, his presence was the only thing that brought Tezuka's lips to curl up the slightest bit. Nowadays he spends hours wishing he was the freshman that only had to utter a curt 'Buchou' before Tezuka's smile lit up the court.
2. Jealous - Josh Daniel
Fuji sends Tezuka off to Germany with a smile on his face and a hope in his heart. He missed morning practice and first period but he figures he's missing something much more than that.
3. Will - Yuki Kajiura
Seigaku survives Nationals and the seniors finally retire for exams. It was in the middle of spring when Eiji sits next to him - placid for once, and asks, "What happened?" And oh God Fuji wishes he knew.
4. Goodnight Goodnight - Maroon 5
Graduation was fast approaching. Echizen gathers the team to announce that he'll be leaving Seigaku after that year. At the news, Fuji lets out a half-hearted chuckle. Echizen but stares at him and says, "I'll be going somewhere cold." Fuji walks away. He knew Echizen wouldn't be cold for long.
5. We Were In Love - Taku
Fuji tells himself he's been doing well. He continues to think so as he subconsciously winces at every mention of Echizen. He continues to believe so as he whips his head at every peripheral sighting of light brown hair.
6. In Heaven - JYJ
Fuji breaks a glass one day in high school when Yoshiko asks him in the middle of preparing breakfast how Tezuka-kun was doing. He spends the rest of the day skipping class and wandering the courts of his old middle school. He wonders where he went wrong.
7. Tears Of An Angel - RyanDan
It was February 29. Fuji climbs up the mountain where Oishi once brought the whole team to see the sunrise. He remembers how Momo had said that as long as the team was together, the sun would never fall from the sky. Fuji looks around the darkened horizon. Sunrise should have been five minutes ago. For his birthday, Fuji allows himself a few tears.
8. Religion - Lana del Rey
The red-head drops his phone after hearing the automated voicemail message voice for the nth time. He plops on the couch with uncharacteristic frown lines between his brows. Oishi shuts the door to their shared university apartment and settles next to Eiji. "He'll be alright," Oishi offers, wrapping an arm around his partner. Kikumaru looks up, obviously not the slightest bit convinced. They both knew there was very little truth to Oishi's words. No one had seen Fuji since high school graduation.
9. No Light No Light - Florence and the Machine
In Fuji's fifth year of disappearance, Kikumaru and Oishi receive a telltale envelope in their now habitable and refurbished apartment. They have come a long way since their dingy early college days, and it seems two of their old teammates have reached spectacular milestones too. 'Tezuka and Echizen Nuptials', the invite said. Attached to it is a note containing a favor from the fiancés. Kikumaru makes some calls only to be met by voicemail. With newfound determination, he speaks after the beep.
10. Happy Ending - MIKA
Inui closed his tablet with a smile. From when they were wee children in middle school, he knew there was already a spark of something between the pillars of Seigaku Tennis Club. He was filled with a sense of satisfaction for having predicted outcomes accurately more than a decade later. Inui hears the preacher say, “Speak now or forever hold your peace.” Then there was an ear splitting silence; like people waiting for something to happen. Inui follows his old captain’s gaze out into the audience and spots a pair of clear blue eyes he hasn’t seen in years. They stared at the couple for a good few seconds, blinked, and disappeared into the curtains. “You may now kiss,” the preacher says, and Inui notes that both Tezuka and Echizen’s shoulders visibly relax by at least 81%.

Hullo there, I saw your mega-biased Kuroba Mario hashtags on the kurosute fanreport a few days ago and was wondering if you had an opinion on which role has been Mario's favourite so far? (my real question is if it's Kise)
Hello!! MEGA-BIASED KUROBA MARIO HASHTAGS THOUGH HAHA Guess my new obsession really is showing OTL
But anyway, I couldn’t say for sure who is his most favourite among all of the characters that he has played as, but I can say for sure that he really likes Kise-kun somehow. I saw this one tweet the other day, this person went to the Kurosute play during Mario’s birthday, and her tweet mentioned a little bit of what Mario said during his curtain-call speech.
You probably could understand the message better than I do, but like yeah it seems like he was really happy to be able to play as Kise-kun on his birthday. And my thought of Mario liking Kisekun doesn’t just come from that, but from how sometimes he tweeted about Kise bby, and even on Kise’s birthday, he was making such a sweet post about it (Actually the whole Kaijou team loves Kisekun).
There was also that one time during the Kurosute fan meeting when Mario arrived at the event at the very last minute even though he wasn’t scheduled to come, but he still does and I think that’s really such a sweet dedication too but I guess you can say that this is really just Mario being Mario.
And also when he just finished with the previous Dansui stageplay, he went straight to the Kurosute practice without any delay and for about a week, he disappeared from twitter and when he finally appears again, he was saying that he had been working hard for the thing and it might be because he had been behind with the practice considering that others started earlier while he was still occupied with Dansui but the way I see it is like Mario going all out and enjoying himself playing as Kisekun after having to hold himself from doing so for a little while and I think that’s really cute ;v;
And like OMG I really don’t think I have the right to make speculation on which character he likes THE MOST considering that I’m still fairly new with being Mario’s fan since last year, but I think if it is for the character that he is most thankful for, it is probably Kikumaru Eiji tough? Because Eiji was the character that has shot Mario’s career upwards and he is kind of his debut character somehow and I think there was a post about him being thankful for Eiji before this too.
I know Mario is so popular from the Musical Touken Ranbu though and I can totally see that he enjoys doing that too but MAYBE it is more because of the company that he gets from the guys in Team Sanjou, right? They seem SO CLOSE WITHOUT BOUNDARIES SEPARATING THEM (and cute) and even though I don’t really know much about Mikazuki, but Mario most likely loves him too but if we are comparing between Mikazuki and Kisekun, I’d think that Mario can relate more with Kise-kun.. maybe? ;v;
So I’m like saying, from my observation and from the things that I have seen around;
Character that Mario is most thankful for: Eiji
Stageplay that Mario enjoys doing because of the company that he gets: Touken Ranbu (because of Team Sanjou)
Character that Mario got attached to: Kise-kun
BUT THAT IS ONLY FROM MY OWN POINT OF VIEW, I’m still fairly new in this, I’m sorry for any false assumptions or informations OTL As expected, I really am not reliable to give my opinion about Mario yet ORZ
But anyway, thanks for approaching me LOL I get really nervous because this is the first time I got approached by a Mario’s fan and talk seriously about him. I mostly linger in the Kurobasu fandom, and most of the people that I have fangirled Mario with simply know Mario because he plays Kise, so like yeah ;3;
I hope my view of Mario isn’t too far-fetched from how the general fandom views him. That’s all, have a nice day aHHH ヾ(*ò▽óゞ)
