❀ the reason you guys even talk it out is during a simulation where the both of you get stuck inside rubble. you were both exhausted, dehydrated, and heartbroken.

❀ you just couldn't help but ask, "why do you hate me?" which basically broke his heart into a million little pieces. he couldn't help the way he admitted to his feelings, the way he handed you his heart in hopes you'd keep it safe...and safe you did.

You weren’t sure what caused it- what earthly force could convince a bunch of college kids to listen to that infernal song so frequently?  What could get them to set Last Christmas to their ringtones?  You were pretty sure most of them hadn’t used ringtones before December.  To put it bluntly- you were confused, tired, and suspicious.  You were also ready to scream.

So you did!

“Holy shit, if I have to hear that fucking song again, I might literally explode.”

Reid looked up at you as you burst into your shared office.  His eyes were wide, as if your pre-loaded rant about Wham’s Last Christmas had caught him off guard.  

If it had, that was honestly on him.  You were only about a week into December, and you had already complained about the thing seventy-six times and counting.  If Spencer didn’t remember that, then his special boy memory powers had clearly failed him.

“Well, you wouldn’t literally explode,” Reid corrected, clearly recovered from his shock, “That’s a common mistake.  You would actually-”

“Reid, stop it before I feed you to the ghost of George Michael.”

He held up his hands in surrender, though a smile played across his lips.  You glared at that little grin as vines of suspicion tangled with the fleshy meat of your brain.

“Did you have something to do with this?”

“Whatever do you mean, Doctor?”

“I mean,” you slammed your hands down on Reid’s desk, “Are you the reason I cannot escape that fucking song?”

He leaned back in his chair, weaving his long, slender fingers together like some fucking anime villain, “And how would I pull that off?”

“Easily.  You’re you, and it’s the perfect crime.  All it would take is the promise of extra credit, and your students would do anything.  You think I haven’t noticed that the student body suddenly loves playing Wham?  Out loud?  Without headphones?”

Spencer’s grin got bigger, “Wow.  I’m sorry that your students have been using technology in a distracting and upsetting manner.  I can’t imagine what that’s like.”

“Spencer Reid, I am going to kill you.  I’m gonna choke you out with Christmas lights.  Seriously.”

He leaned in, “Are you literally going to kill me?”

“Fuck you, Reid.”

“I’d like to see you try.”

You snorted out a laugh, “You wouldn’t survive me, pretty boy.  Now, have you seen the essays my cybercrime class wrote?  They were on my desk.”

“Here-” he said, reaching for one of the desk’s many drawers.  That ended the conversation as the topic drifted to your students and the general category of crime that involved techy-whecy bullshit.  

In the weeks that followed, the volume on Spencer’s prank was turned down.  The students played it less and less, and the campus generally hummed with other holiday themed music until the break hit.  The day after it did, a package arrived on your doorstep.

Part 1 (you don't have to read it but it provides context for this)

Chuuya had gotten there before you. He was sitting on a bench across the footpath from the restaurant, absentmindedly on his phone. It was no fancy place, one may say casual or even rustic. But once, a long time ago as teenagers, Chuuya had taken you there one evening when you were feeling down and you'd enjoyed yourself enough to decide that it would be a good place to go back to. Maybe get the same meals as that time, and recreate some cherished memories.

You stood around the corner of the block, making sure that there weren't too many witnesses around. You'd gone through a world of effort to conceal your relationship with the mafioso. You'd changed his contact name, turned off your notifications and even made sure to eradicate all traces that you two spent time together, which hurt the most of all. You felt that just a simple picture of the two of you wasn't asking too much.

The two of you seldom contacted one another during work hours. Considering the Agency tended to work within the daytime while the Port Mafia took over the night, you didn't have much time to communicate with one another, much less meet up in person. When you did, you both had to be cautious that none of your coworkers were around. It had gotten exhausting rather quickly, but the two of you continued to try nonetheless.

Weekends were really the only days that you could sometimes see one another. That's why, on an overcast Sunday, you and Chuuya had decided to go on a lunch date together. You were mostly sure that you wouldn't be bumping into any other Agency members, and yet you scurried along the street like a cautious mouse.

You called his name, and when he turned and saw you he smiled.

"How are you?" You asked him as you approached. He stood up and pulled you into his embrace once you reached him.

"I'm glad to see you, baby."

"You ought to be! It took so much effort to get here without rousing suspicion," you whined, pulling away and squeezing his shoulders. Chuuya cocked an eyebrow at you.

"Huh? Have you told them anything?"

"They're detectives, Chuu!" you responded, giving him a nudge. "It's hard to keep a secret when you're surrounded by detectives all the time. I'm pretty sure Ranpo knows already- or at least he's caught on to the fact that I'm seeing someone."

"...who?"

"Y'know, the one with the hat and cape...he trapped you in a book once?" Chuuya pursed his lips and nodded. "He's a genius."

"I know," he sighed. "At least Dazai doesn't know...probably."

"Nah, he doesn't," you confirmed, "If he did, he'd have brought it up with me by now. And I dunno how I'm gonna approach that conversation at all."

"Just give me a call when it happens. I'll beat the shit out of him," he muttered, sourly. You giggled, pulling him back into your arms.

"I can always count on you, can't I?"

"'Course you can, babe," he pressed a kiss to your cheek. "Sorry you gotta go through all that, by the way."

"I can't imagine it's much easier in the Port Mafia? Y'know, to be dating an Agency member."

"Eh, it's not so bad when you're an executive." He shrugged with a sigh. You cast him a mischievous grin.

"Oh, yeah. I keep forgetting you're all authoritative and strong like that," you teased. Chuuya blinked, before he wrapped his arm around your waist.

"Forgetting? Maybe I should jog your memory." You narrowed your eyes at his suggestive tone.

"Oh? How so?" You smirked. Chuuya tapped his lips.

"Hm...got any more kinks I don't know about?"

"Keep it in your fuckin' pants, Chuu!" You laughed, swatting his arm. "Imagine if there were children here."

"If you keep encouraging me there might well be," he retorted, and you gasped.

"You're a goddamn menace." Chuuya chuckled at your blunt statement. "Ah...anyway, we should go inside. We'd be less conspicuous that way, and we've been loitering around here long enough as is."

He nodded, and you both went inside. After entering the door Chuuya opened for you, the scent of the place filled your nostrils and it was like you'd visited for the first time. You stood in the entranceway for a moment, a small smile formed on your lips.

"Something wrong?" Chuuya asked, passing you and shutting the door. You shook your head.

"No, nothing's wrong," you quickly replied before taking a step forward. "It's just...been a while."

"...it has, yeah," Chuuya agreed, placing his hand on your back. "Glad to be back here."

Fifteen minutes flies by so fast when you're enjoying your time. Fifteen minutes with Chuuya felt more like fifteen seconds. You'd ordered your food, caught up on each others' recounts of the past week, Chuuya made an obligatory complaint about Dazai, and then Chuuya's phone rang twice.

The first time he'd just ignored it, and you'd tried to do the same, but the second time he let out an aggravated breath and pulled it out of his pocket, eyes briefly flickering towards the screen which you didn't have the time to get a good peek at. Chuuya glanced at you, both apparently frustrated and apologetic.

"Sorry, hon. I have to take this one, but I'll make it quick, alright?"

"It's okay, don't worry about it." You smiled as you said this, but your facade dropped once he disappeared to take the call. You didn't blame Chuuya for being busy, but lamented the fact that the two of you couldn't seem to spend any amount of time together uninterrupted. It was almost as if everybody really did know about your relationship and were doing all they could to keep it apart.

He was back before long, taking his seat across from you at the table and letting out an exhale.

"Did something bad happen?"

"Nah, just got into a bit of an altercation. Managed to sort it out though, so it's fine. Nothing to worry about." Chuuya placed his hand atop yours. "Where were we?"

"...I think you were bitching again. About Dazai?" You replied, balancing your hand on your palm with a grin.

"'Again'?"

"Yep. It's your favourite thing to do, right?"

"Besides you..." he mused, and you bit back a laugh. "I'd say so. But I can't help it. You know that best, don'tcha?"

"He's still lazy at the Agency. In fact, he's probably gotten worse. Sometimes I have to physically force him to come with me when we have jobs together," you rolled your eyes. "That being said though, he can be so overbearing sometimes, fuck's sake."

"Eh, if I were him I'd be protective of you too. Maybe the single thing I can't blame him for, actually," Chuuya scowled, taking a sip of water. "Wish I could spend as much time with you as he does, though. That might be nice..."

As you acknowledged that sentiment, an idea popped into your head. You suddenly sat upright.

"You and I should go on a trip. A road trip, or a vacation or something like that."

"A trip?" He repeated, confused.

"Mm. We wouldn't have to worry about anybody seeing us, and we'd be able to relax and actually spend time together," you explained. "We could even just...go camping or something. That's not that expensive, right? We'd have to travel pretty far, though..."

"I'd be willing to go anywhere as long as you're there," Chuuya shrugged. You turned to him, before smiling.

"That's adorable of you, sweetie."

"Money wouldn't be an issue. It's the time I'm worried about, and how we'd both be able to leave at the same time without suspicion," he continued.

"I just called you adorable and you're gonna go ahead and ignore me?" You scowled, folding your arms over your chest. "I see how it is."

"Aw, sorry babe. I didn't mean for it to come across like that," he apologised, taking your hand and pressing his lips to your knuckle. "I'm just concerned, that's all."

"I know, I get it..." you gave him a sad smile. "I wish we didn't have to be like this. I get so jealous when I see couples together out and about. I want that to be us!"

"Maybe one day. Just...not today though. Neither of us can afford it right now, y'know?" He murmured. "I would want absolutely everybody around me to know that you're my partner. If it wouldn't put you in danger, I mean."

"You're that proud of me, huh?" You queried, rubbing your thumb over Chuuya's gloved hand. He looked at you as if that were a stupid question.

"'Course I am. I can't really show it now, but I promise I am," he answered sincerely, staring into your eyes. "Okay?"

"...I'll choose to believe you for now," you replied, sarcastically. "But one day you better prove it in the most dramatic and flamboyant way possible, got it?"

Chuuya smiled. "I'd give you the whole world if you asked for it, Y/N."

"Oh, maybe that's a little too dramatic," you hastily replied. "...maybe we should just stick to dinner dates for now, m'kay?"

Luna sighed, stretching and letting out a way-too-loud groan when her body crunched. She hung up her bag, kicked off her shoes, and lazily hung up her jacket. So tired from a long day of work and socializing, she hadn’t realized there was a wonderful scent that filled her and her boyfriend’s apartment.

“I’m home!” Luna called out, Zayne made a sound of acknowledgment from what sounded like the kitchen. “What’s up?” she found her way to him, eyes growing wide as she realized he made every one of her favourite dishes. “What is all this for?”

He turned his head to her for a moment, eyebrow quirked up. “It seems a certain someone has forgotten what day it is.”

“Mm, it’s not our anniversary, so I guess I did forget.”

His lip twitched up as he turned off the burner, taking the last pot off of the stove before mixing the noodles and sauce together. “Did you really manage to forget your birthday?”

She blinked, eyes shooting over to the calendar on the fridge. Indeed, circled with a bright red sharpie, was her birthday. Preceding it was a bunch of red X marks. “Shit, how’d I manage that?”

“I suppose I should book you in for an appointment with the psychologist if you’re already forgetting something so important.” Luna rolled her eyes, swatting at his arm. “Though now is not the time to worry about such things, I can only assume that you haven’t eaten today.”

And he was absolutely right about that. Luna’s stomach rumbled at his teasing, his rich man laugh made her blush. “Well, I shouldn’t keep the birthday girl waiting, should I?”

Conversing over wine and dinner, the night carried on. Time passed so quickly that neither of them had realized just how many times they filled their cups.

Luna looked at Zayne with a certain glint in her eye, the shimmer casting a smirk on his face as he understood what she was wanting. “Is everything alright, my love?” Zayne’s voice lowered, the reddish hue on her cheeks deepened.

“Hm, I can’t help but think there’s something missing, what’s a birthday without the gift?” she stood from her chain, sauntering over to him. Zayne pushed his chair out a bit, welcoming her onto his lap.

“Ms. Do, I’m not entirely certain what you’re trying to imply here.” She straddled him, his hands landing on her hips. “I might need some… instruction.” He finished with a pause, Adam’s apple bobbing as her eyes flicked over his face.

42 - are you okay?

yes, im okay! i might not be great and i might not be overtly happy but i am okay and for now, i am content enough :)

yesterday was just one of those days where things were worse than usual due to old memories being forced back into my head! it was spurred on by seeing something related to the ideologies that much older people manipulated me into believing in and so on… so when i saw that, everything i used to do and what i used to believe in came rushing back and just kind of ruined my day for good… could not stop thinking back on it and belittling myself about it all but i have slept now and whilst there is obviously still shame lurking in my mind, im trying to just not think about it! these things are best left in the past and i know that, but sometimes my mind just has trouble letting go and forgetting it all

but i have been listening to music and playing my games which is always very helpful in making me feel better and just bring some peace to my mind

33 - best day of your life?

i do not even know… my memory has been affected very badly by my mental health so i do not really remember much at all, especially not from my childhood and so on…

i would probably day the day that my dad died? maybe it sounds cruel and cold but i was so relieved and almost overjoyed when he died in prison when i was thirteen… he was a piece of shit, drugs or not, he still beat on my mother whilst knowing that i ( even younger than thirteen at the time ) was supposedly sleeping upstairs in my bedroom and spoiler alert: i was never sleeping, i would lay awake listening to it all! i dont know, he did a whole lot of fucked up shit that lead me to having a lot of horrible childhood memories and a lot of childhood trauma so when he died? it was a gift, i never felt a true love for him nor did i ever feel a true bond with him, losing him was like losing a knife that was lodged inside of me and constantly causing me pain, removing the knife frees the wound for healing

but other than that, i would say both of the days that i got my two cats were the best days of my life too! i love cats, cats are a very healing animal to me and they bring me a lot of comfort… my first cat, my big boy, was just this tiny little black fluff-ball who was too afraid and shy to come out from under my bed and now… well now he is a big black fluff-ball who is not shy at all, he acts like he owns my damn house! my little girl was always a total sweet little love bug though, ever since the first day we got her!

my cats are the one thing that kept me going and stopped me from doing anything permanent, just because i could never bare to leave them in confusion about where i was and such… they are my sole reason for still being here, well, them and my grandparents

oh gosh, i do not even know… i never really think about stuff like this at all lol!

maybe i would wish for my severe social anxiety to be taken away! that always restricts me from doing a lot and seeing a lot! i wish that i could just go shopping with my mother and i wish that i could go for walks in the day time, you know?

i made curry last night and im really happy because ive been having a lot of trouble eating and Making myself eat, on top of being really erally really broke so we havent had much food in the house thats just Ready To Go consistently.. like, we always have oats, but we dont always have milk, and i cant eat them with water.. or we have ham but we run out of bread, or all i want are fruits and leafs but we cant really keep anything except apples/oranges/grapes because they dont go bad before we finish them, or bananas cause they arent really ruined if theyre overripe you just throw them in the freezer. so we cant get salad materials.

if i try to just shove calories in my body and i dont like it i wont finish it. like i will feel full until i stop trying to make myself eat it. and this isnt even just when adderall affects my appetite.

then, on top of all that, i know if i eat i have to do dishes. my husband usually does them, but hes been going through a really bad time for the past couple months too, plus we only moved out july 2023, and before that his mom had been Divorced outta the house earlier that year iirc plus id been living there since july 2022, so his brain and nervous system has felt safe enough for the ptsd recovery stage for nearly 2 years. and he gets hit really hard with seasonal depression, and he has adhd too. he typically does dishes, i typically do laundry. the problem is its easier to wear the same clothes for a few days, or rewear laundry that isnt rancid, or wear ill fitting clothes that have been shoved to the back of the dresser, but its hard to wash a dish when the sink is full and the kitchen is overwhelming.

so, to avoid having dirty dishes, i wont eat. whats worse, is i was insanely stressed over school for like 3 weeks. all the stress i should have had this semester hit me really bad all at once. when im that stressed, i cant think about anything relevant to maintaining myself-- especially not maintaining neutral-positive self talk and constructive self esteem. which means i shut down if anyone needs anything from me real or imagined. which means i cant be there for my husband and make sure he eats and check in on him. so all this stupid shit just feeds into itself. ive had more s/h urges than ive had in years i think, and not even in response to anything extrinsic.

my goofy ass got drunker than i usually do super quick the other night, it wasmy husbands birthday party. i cleaned up the apartment super nice since mostly my stuff was strewn everywhere and did the dishes. i didnt eat all day and i think i had like, one inadequate meal the day before. so i was exhausted after cleaning, our roommate ordered pizza and i ate and passed out for 3 hour nap. by the time i got up everyone was already at Least buzzed. my brother in law got a mom call and my husband (drunk) was like Hey. Give me the Phone.. tell her i wanna talk... because she LOVES being upset that her kids are having a good time and feels the need for Hour Phone Call when and where she wants it, and my BIL is an adult but they dont treat him like one, so hes still really deep in feeling trapped in these trauma responses.

this i think is what really got me, other than not being on my full dose of adderall so my emotional abilities were compromised lmao. i was tryingto tell my husband i love him, because i was leaving to weed store, and he was getting triggered while drunk, so he was annoyed i was interrupting the call and i didnt get my byebyehugnkiss. not to mention they were being really loud earlier. so now i feel bad. i get back immediately down 2 shots (3 shots is where i am Comfortably Drunk) and share a j actually post cancelled kendrick just dropped. the point was that i got too drunk and started hitting myself on the head and crying in the kitchen floor lol but who cares about that KENDRIIIIIIICKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

Hi!!! Yes, I’m going next Friday 🫣 This’ll be my third time haha.

Since I went for work over the summer and will be going this time too, I don’t have too many recommendations for hotels and stuff- My first time going, I spent Christmas there with 5 of my friends and we all split an Airbnb for a week, and I think it was $250 per person? So pretty affordable imo? For work, they put me in a business hotel which is DEF not affordable…. But what I will say is, consider a few factors aside from cost if you can. Location and convenience can make all the difference. Most Airbnbs don’t have elevators (and they can be illegal Airbnbs too!) so if you’re someone who needs accommodation with accessibility, hotel is the way to go. If this is your first time traveling abroad or you need more “security” then hotel is a better bet. But hotels are expensive and they’re usually in the touristy parts, so if you’re looking for something more “authentic”, then Airbnb for sure lol.

My autism goes brrrrrr on trips, so I’m a planner (my poor friends, man….) anyhow, I always create a schedule just to know what the vibes are for every day. Like literally, I’m going to be there Jan 4-Feb 10 just because I want to stay for Johnny’s birthday 🧍‍♀️ And I have on my calendar that day 1, I’m speed running the NCT Zone pop up and all of my fav kpop stores lol. So if you’re trying to find things to do there, don’t skip on the touristy things, I promise they’re worth it!! I have to go to Gyeongbukgong Palace for a 3rd time this trip lol…. Lotte Tower is soooo cool (but I think Lotte World can be a hit or a miss tbh). My fav kpop stores are ofc Kwanga Seoul (I get soooo much NCT merch there), whatever the store is called in Gangnam on the main road kinda near Five Guys? I think Meochi or something? Ktown4u at Coex is my spott 🥰 Also Withmuu in Hongdae. Allllll of the shops in Myeongdong’s train station. I was searching for Glitch Mode Jeno for so long, bro. So long. And I found ONE. COUNT EM, ONE!!!! In one of the shops there. Also they have a shit ton of photocard packs which I eat up lol. Ummmm. There’s some others. If you guys want my Naver spots, I can post that.

Speaking of Naver- Google Maps doesn’t work in Korea, so live and breathe Naver!! English is iffy on there, esp if you’re trying to find an exact address, so google the Korean names of things you’re trying to find then paste it into Naver (if you don’t know Korean). I went to the Valorant pop up in the airport over the summer, and I just walked up and said “안녕하세요” shyly and the guy was like 🤨 “you speak Korean?” “죽음, 네“ and bro started speed running the instructions and explanation in Korean. LIKE SLOW DOWN I SAID 죽음 FUCK MAN IDK WHERE WE’RE GOINGGGGGG. And all the other employees heard me speaking Korean so they went with it too and I had to stand there and be like 😀 Yes. Yea. I totally understand. (I did not understand about 75% of it).

That sounds so cheesy holy shit. But legit one of my most favorite people. We can just be silly together and for once my Healing doesnt involve realize hes actually shit to me like it did with other people. No, my healing actually just helps me like him even more and we are so silly and I love him.

Okay pretty much anything my fiance ever got me makes me happy, but that one is my favorite not only because its the most recent but also because it helps me with emotional regulation. Lol im doing mostly people. For all my family is not great sometimes they make up by being really great other times. I know it's my birthday and like,, I should be all happy n shit about it but idk for the past couple of years I stopped celebrating my own birthdays

if anything, they just feel like a reminder that I'm very far behind in life for/what's expected for my age (financially, materially, socially, etc). I always think if I'd did things differently and wasn't so damn lazy, I'd be farther along in life and much happier with where I could've been than how I feel now.

I'd have the financial stability to support my family, to be able to fund for/have been created multiple creative projects (indie games, more videos, etc).

Like, the days leading up to my birthday'd feel more exciting than the actual full day itself. Staying up overnight to catch the time when it's my hour of birth is cool, but after that is just "meh". I don't even wanna do the birthday traditions for myself anymore,, like, I'm only doing the cake n stuff so my hungry ass can eat 0|-<
