Somewhere between realms...(D-E)

In the dark abyss of that thin line between universes a thin sigil of light suddenly appeared before glowing brighter until it formed into a doorway connecting from somewhere else. As soon as the doorway was opened a black boot breached it before being followed by it's owner, a dark haired boy in a black hoodie whose black eye's widened upon seeing the expanse of nothing before him and noticed that the booted foot that stepped forward had not touched anything and continued downwards.

"A- shit!" he cursed out as he found himself falling before his feet suddenly and silently collided with nothing, but a solid nothing he could at least stand on. After giving a few experimental stomps and winkling his face at the lack of noise he turned back towards the doorway while bringing a hand up to his face. "Hey Anna? I think something went wrong..."

As soon as he called out a warning he spotted familiar head of long blonde hair followed by an emerald green turtleneck sweater as the girl wearing it leapt precariously through the doorway and was now positioned right above the boy who quickly stuck out his arms while uttering out another swear just in time to catch the falling girl who landed belly down into the boy's arms as he held her aloft awkwardly with an arm curled under her chest and another under her hip.

"Really? You had to leap through the portal?" he chided causing the girl's feline ear to flick as he was given a sly smile.

"Apologies, I thought I would have landed on your back." She answered casually as she was lowered onto her feet by the boy before looking around at the vast nothingness. "Hrm, this is... stranger."

"Yep, we're in the void."

"Well yes, and no." She corrected causing the boy to raise an eyebrow as she stood over him. "We are currently between realms, or universes outside any laws of time or continuity."

"Continuity?- wait shit, are we non-canon?" the boy asked a look of annoyance and disdain overtaking his face as he saw Anna's mouth skew to the side.

"More like... debatably canon?"

"Fuuuucking hell."

"Oh it is not that bad Drean, it just means that the things we do here will have little to no consequence." Anna explained as her fluffy tail swished around behind her excitedly while her green eyes sparked with ideas of experimentation and seeing that made the dark eyed boy's face soften before coaxing him into letting out a deep, calming sigh that trailed smoke out of his sharp-fanged maw.

"So what do we do then, just entertain them for a while?" Drean asked while pointing a finger at you while your eyes glazed over these words coaxing a small shrug out of the feline woman.

"Did you have something better in mind?"

today, every once in a while, i will post a joke. 👍

Zhilla, she's my nicole.

I've done searching, I've done all the things I wanna do as what a teenager really wanna do. It was in 2023 where after my breakup with my ex, i chose to seek around. To see how the other half lives. Turns out, I met this one particular girl who really loves to talk about her adventurous life.

It was not what I expected. I thought she wouldn't swipe me right because I know how gorgeous she is. Most of this type of users won't give me a chance, but she seemed having it. So we started talking. She asked me;

"What is pinoy?🤔"

I was just a silly boy who like pinoys around tiktok who fool around and sing better than Indonesians (in my opinion). I explained who are they and she said, she likes some tagalog songs too! That was exciting. Since after, we started to talk about so many things where me and her get excited at.

I told her that I really love Sci-Fi, i am a real nerd of science, and many more. She said she didn't believe that I am a scientist lol. Because she didn't know that I went to the same Uni. She also shared some story about Turkey. She even knew that I went to ER frequently for no reason. Then we decided to be friends in Instagram which brought us to "Facebook friends".

"Wonder what's in the cards for us, maybe it's just to keep our distance, and stay friends on Facebook"

We stayed friends on Instagram for many months. We replied to each other's stories. Many things were shared through our dms which I really want her to get deeper. So I asked her number just to keep in touch.

We even met for once around March to April in Bogor. I asked her to go out from Padre to see me at the parking spot. She was giggling and shaking for no reason. And all I did is just talk with her. She couldn't believe it that she really met me lol. I love her giggly sound, her nervous face, and shy. Oh what a day.

We became penmate. She knew way too much about me and vice versa. I shared like literally everything even my dreams and her dreams. I told her about my favorite youtube channel who talks about science. She shared some horror stories which I wouldn't forget that I also shared about mine.

But after that, I suddenly felt like there is something that occupies me, especially my feelings. And she became my Anaheim.

"In a perfect world, I'd kill. to love you the loudest. But all I do is live to hurt you soundless"

To hurt her is never my intentions. I wasn't there. It wasn't me. It was the other me. I really enjoy her company but somehow, the pain is still there. Yes, I am lost, but not in you.

And the stupid thing is, I let myself get drowned in my feelings.

I was happy living all alone, no ribcage, no consequences, no regret. She was excited to me but I was not. And nothing was changed but I was just lost.

"But baby, I'm so sorry. I don't think that I'll ever memorize this route..."

I told you, hurting you was never my intention. It never was but I did it anyway. And I regret it. Even though regretting isn't my thing, I did regret this one. I admitted it. And she became a Backburner to me.

"The goo goo dolls are dead to me the way you should be too"

I would say yes, I would have been dead rather than leaving her hanging right there. We kept talking but sadly, I wasn't having it. I didn't have the excitement like used to be. I blame everything I did for what I have done to her.

Checking up on her frequently, talk to her, be friends with her, without her knowing that I have no more attachments to her. We're only a Milk Teeth but we choose Keeping tabs.

I believe that I was her Autumn.

"You said, "Don't fret love, someday I'll be my own man, I'll be free". Oh, but darlin' did you mean, did you mean from me?"

I didn't say this and I didn't do this. I believe that "us" was still a thing to us. Hours passed, days were skipped, year gone, I said happy new year and she did too. I remember that she once said she wants to visit the Holy Place. And her mother agreed.

I even told her to go to some places I use to visit. And suddenly...

Yeah. This is our Oceans and Engines.

"Fingers entwined and so were our minds, crying, I don't want you to go"

She just got selected to be the IISMA awardee which will brought her abroad. Australia, it is. I wasn't shocked tho it was her struggle that showed me that she is capable and deserved that. But, i didn't know that I don't have much time to see her. For at least, a month. She kept asking me whether I can see her or not but the answer were still "I'm busy". I tried to make time for her but this body can't help but to get sick.

I told her so many times that I enjoy this one particular singing bar that I regularly go for the nights. She said that she wants to experience this place for at least once with me. And we agreed to meet, suddenly, we chose that place.

I wonder why, after having beers, wines, and liquors with different friends, only with her I felt warm. I felt the sense of why do people took beers with someone they love. It is because you'll get a different experience with them.

We talked everything for what happened in a year and a half. We even discussed about our feelings too. I didn't asked her, but I said I wasn't ready yet. Tho to make it fair, she can do anything what she wanna do in Australia without thinking of me. Then, we chose to go home after.

I didn't know that this feeling would be back; I started to like her again. I thought it was just some effect of having alcohol back then but not that I felt that feeling until the next morning. We didn't talk that much too in the Saturday because she was capped with packing things. And suddenly sunday came.

I never knew that Airport goodbyes are the saddest one. I never knew that this temporary goodbye is huge to me. I went to Semarang, and she went to Canberra. Since then, she didn't replied my message for a couple hours.

I never, ever regret anything in my life except this one thing; denying the fact that I liked her since the first time I met her. It was her, always have been. But I was just denying that, I got so many scars that left behind in my past where I can see Anaheim in her. I didn't know Oceans and Engines is real to us. I didn't notice that Before is our start and Keeping Tabs is the one who kept us in touch. And I think, staying as a Facebook Friends is better than a Backburner after all. I love you, Zhilla. Have a great adventure over there. Always keep in mind that I'm here giving you these open arms for you to lay back.

It's nearly the end of 2023, and... Hey, a lot has happened. I'll put most of it under the read more because there's a LOT to unpack this year, and if you're here to see the original posts for most of this art... surprise! Some of it was never posted! So no links will be provided to balance it out. All of my art is under the same tag though of "#drawings by me" so feel free to leaf through that on your own time.

To summarize the year, I learned (at the end of the year) that my temporary boss was overworking me for most of the year she was working there (yikes, but hey, I did agree to it and was able to... we'll say "keep up with the chaos" to keep it simple) but my permanent boss is, naturally, 1000% better. The side effect is... instead of December being a low month for drawing due to it being the busy month, almost every month is!

The new year should be better. I hope. On to the month summaries!

JANUARY - New D&D character refs made, Lixori as a rabbit (pictured). I didn't draw that much in january, but I claimed big ambitions of drawing more bunny girls. Sadly... I did not. Next year I'll sneak a few in here and there to make up for it - I do love drawing bunny girls (and guys especially) lol. Other than that... Year of the rabbit! Woo?

FEBRUARY - I... only drew this one image of perspective/mirrors practise with Irina and Axel. February was not busy. I was just really burnt out from the holiday season. It was... rough. Home life wasn't great, and I couldn't do much about escaping the frustrations during February anyway.

MARCH - The Existential Dread set in (pictured), my April Fools Day art, and a sketch dump. Yep! I drew my April Fools Day art in March! And early March at that! This month I had planned to take a vacation week riiiiight at the end of the month, but it got pushed back because the "new" staff member I was supposed to train didn't start until the end of the month. We'll get back to that.

APRIL - Sketches. The lineart pictured was never posted, but I cleaned it later (I think in... July or June?) but the sketch was dated back in April. Remember that vacation week that got pushed back to April? It's not riiiight after the first full week in May. Why? Because the staff member didn't know shit and needed more training. Fun fact: there's more to that story coming up.

MAY - Happy Birthday to me! I got my vacation (finally), and used the week to draw more D&D idiots before returning to work and... the "new" staff member ended up making a royal mess of things on my week off. She did not remain for much longer after that. Apparently she talks fondly about working for us, but by god, I have grey hairs. But this isn't a rant post, this is art! I... did NOT do much else in May. Not even a birthday art! For SHAME past me!! Although this month did give me an awesome new coworker (bless!) to replace a previous awesome coworker who moved back to their home city. We're both nerds. It's so funny.

JUNE - That Colour Wheel Meme from Twitter (pictured) and one half-assed drawing of Blaze in front of the pride month fire engine are all I have to show for this month, alongside cleaning up more sketches from back in April. My actual boss had returned and thank GOD. We - as in me, my nerd coworker, and our other coworker - are glad to have our boss back. She's fantastic. This month went by pretty well. But welcome to July, dumbass! It gets worse!

JULY - I forgot to do digital art this month. Why? Because all of my out-of-work time was spent working on doing Card Making craft packages for the clients. Sure, I loved doing it, but it was a LOT of work for not a lot of payoff. To be fair, I offered to cover the weekly groups for our volunteer who had been doing it up to that point before her two month vacation, so... hey! It's just for those two months, right?

AUGUST - Welcome to Burnout 2 (electric boogaloo), but I managed to fight it off by getting back into FNAF towards the end of July. Something about horror games really gets my brain in the good zone I want it to be in. This month I drew Eclipse (once) because of Ruin, this wonderful first draft of how I wanted my AU!Foxy to look, and then... I started work in on my FNAF Full Body Refs. Same as my D&D ones, only for my FNAF characters! I have the same refs for all my other OCs, may as well.

SEPTEMBER - If I told you I was only drawing FNAF and FNAF-related stuff this month, would you believe me? Because I did! I did the main characters for the portion of my FNAF!AU that I had figured out (SB and Ruin with a few extras from past games to fill out the roster), but other than that... Nope! Nothing else! I'm still redoing some of the old ones from back in September. My first batch of them (minus Bonnie, dunno what I was smoking when I made Bonnie bc he looks AWESOME) were a bit rough, so... New year problem for me.

OCTOBER - I did only one drawing and that was putting costumes on my full body references of the FNAF!AU guys! Whoops! I considered posting each character and info about them per day in October, but I just... didn't? Dunno why though, maybe I was just peanut-brained.

NOVEMBER - More FNAF! This time, the lineart/sketches I was doing on the side were all of my OCs, and the odd one was FNAF. Didn't post shit until the very end of the month though, mostly because I forgot to post essentially anything. Whoopsie!

DECEMBER - Yeah I've finished some of my sketches from November (and April), and have more to come. I'm redoing some of the FNAF Refs, and planning maybe in the new year to queue up posts for a while with info about each dude to sort of give insight into my AU to some degree... or... not make such grandiose plans.

Either way, my work schedule is destined to be much more normal come January, and I hope to be able to set aside a day or something to draw every week, because I love it so much. It's been a rough year! Thankfully didn't get Covid this year, but y'know... Maybe next year I'll get sick and be forced to take time off or something so that I can draw more.

Regardless, I'm typing this post up while now 6 minutes left to me leaving for work, so no proofreading for me! Any typos will remain forever.

League of Legends stealth-dropped a new champion today, and players are not happy.

BoBo says Bye-bye to your installed games.

Imagine you're like so many other gamers out there and you're playing a game of League of Legends. You make your way into a match and 15 minutes later you find that you've died 10 times to this new mystery champion that seems completely over powered. No big deal, you decide after losing the game. Time to relax with something else in your large library and take a break from the high stakes world of LoL. 

But as you peruse your computer for something else to play, you realise half your games have been mysteriously uninstalled.

Well imagine no longer, this is the new reality for many players of Riot Games' popular MOBA. 

With no champion reveal and no time in public testing, Riot have released BoBo; a top lane fighter that deletes a random game off your computer when he scores a take down on your champion and the rest of his abilities seem to be on the side of overpowered, meaning chances are if you face BoBo in lane, your steam library will be a little bit lighter.

The outrage you may have seen across platforms such as Reddit and Twitter at this frankly ridiculous new champion has only been made worse by Riot's blatant refusal to even acknowledge the champion's existence, let alone respond to the multitude of calls for the champion to be disabled.

Some players have raised concerns as to how this is even possible as League of Legends should have no authority to mess with other programs on your computer at all. And more concerns are being raised about what else Riot Games are messing with on our computers, which is a very valid concern. I myself uninstalled League halfway through writing this article for this very reason.

Funnily enough, game modes in League of Legends that allow the banning of a champion before the game, have remained largely unaffected due to the 99% ban rate currently keeping BoBo from causing too much trouble. 

This doesn't mean much for players of ARAM; LoL's quick and easy game mode where players are randomly assigned a champion, with the option to swap a couple of times before the match then sent into a small, one-lane map to duke it out. 

The nature of ARAM means it's impossible to stop someone from playing the new champion and players have been eager to grab BoBo, if only to stop others from playing him.

Frankly this whole situation is rather bizarre. Whilst Riot are known for having some fun with their players on April Fools Day, observant readers will be aware we are in the middle of November meaning the idea this is a case of a practical joke gone too far seems to be out the window. And a move like this hasn't had a very positive effect on the players and I struggle to see how anybody at Riot could think it would.

One thing is for sure, this is only day one of a crazy future for League of Legends fans and I'll be keeping a close eye on the situation as it progresses to keep you informed.

I have reached out to Riot Games and am yet to receive a response.

Update: 

Riot Games have released a short and cryptic tweet saying "Suck it, Nerds", seemingly in response to player backlash over the new champion.

Sarcastic little boy

Very easily picks up on languages. He’s fluent in German, English, Italian, French, Spanish, and Japanese

Not as smart as Sam, in fact he majors in art and his parents are like hey what the fuck you vs Sam?

Really likes the nighttime over the daytime

Not very open about his emotions which leads to a lot of bad things

Robert

Comes from a family of 7, most of them being younger so he plays older brother a lot

Very persistent, he never gets bored of doing anything

Percival’s older cousin so he’s very protective of him

Generally friends with everyone, despite Jack and Ralph not getting along

Not the best student but really doesn’t care enough to work on his grades. He has potential but wastes it

Heavily relies on Ralph for anything even slightly aggressive
