sometimes i forget i can yell into the void but. time to yell about mob psycho

the ending drove me insane when i first read it and i've been looking forward to it for ages now just cus it just. stuck with me so much. the end of the show, the final scene that tells you things are good and done, is Mob SMILING. he's HAPPY and he can laugh fully and not worry about it!! something he hasn't been able to do in ages and now, he can do it freely!

and just. reigen's 'now you don't need me anymore' even though in this moment Mob needed him so badly, how he's the only one that was finally able to get mob back, how they both had the exact same fear of 'if they know who i really am they wont accept me'; and reigen, by taking that first step and telling mob who he is, making a confession and risking mob's judgement, risking what he thought might even be the end of their friendship? by taking that first step he was able to snap mob back and spur him on to do the same, and he can finally reconcile with himself and accept the part of him he shunned for so long, and they could both face that and face the future together.

i just. the ending being the fact that they're both finally able to be happy now gets to be man

ALSO. using the season 2 theme to emphasize reigens running scene, reaching for him and just barely being out of reach, flashbacks to the years and momeents just between an inch away from him, the changes he made and how mob changed him being what let him catch up because your life is your own, ok? as well as the transition snippits just being everything they've done and showing just. well. here we are
