You don't know how much fun I had with this hehehehe

I started this in June, it was intended for pride bUUTT well it's the 9th of August so clearly I took WAYY longer then I wanted.

NO MATTER! It's done now and even if it's not as rendered as other drawings of mine, I had a BLAST >:D

Basically got the idea BC I got so so down in the dumps when I realised *ahem* "nobody" from Deltarune was probably Mettaton and my brain was like

"what if... Hey what if Mettaton comforted his Deltarune self and telling em that it'll all be ok, that their dreams will become real AHGGGG"

Not over Swatch mentioning helping create the robot that Spamton uses BC it was a product of a "lightners dream" 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Oh my Blooks...

My take on Hapstablook (Mettaton), Madstablook (Mad Dummy/Mew Mew), and the Ruins Dummy ghost.

They're very distinct, as you can see.

While the funky Hapstablook designs where they're pink and have the emo Mettaton hair are fun to see, I think it's more fitting if they looked bland, considering Mettaton's whole deal is that he desperately dreams to be famous and is only able to achieve it once he builds the robot body, which is why he's depressed in Deltarune. This goes for the other ghosts too.

Oh yeah, by the way. Ton-Ton is getting just a little bit of a redesign...

Only a little bit of a redesign...

Okay, so, because of story related reasons, we wanted to redesign Flipflopped Mettaton a little bit. We decided to give Mettaton his robot body back because the ruins in this AU aren't locked like how they are in Undertale. Many monsters go in and out through the ruins to watch the live performances and plays that are being hosted by Mettaton. He's very involved with what goes on around the place, but it would be very hard for Ton-Ton to achieve his dream of being a star when he's still being searched for by the royal guard. But one day, Mettaton met Alphys, and much like in Undertale, Alphys helps make Mettaton his dream body.

Although there is a catch to it. Since Alphys isn't a royal scientist anymore, Alphys is only able to make one form for Mettaton's robot body. So Mettaton doesn't have a box form in this AU. He only has the EX form on him, which makes his body vulnerable to damage, but I don't see anything bad happening because there wouldn't be any reason for anyone to attack Mettaton. What are the chances of that happening? =)

But yeah. Mettaton can still do all the same things his EX form can do, but he does have an extended battery! Don't worry, though. Ton-Ton's Ghost design isn't being completely scrapped. If you remember, I said that there are going to be more dates in Flipflopped, so we might be able to see the ghost design in the future.

Ton-Ton's new design isn't final yet, so some things may change in the future. I've been sleeping on making a post announcing the redesign, so it's better late than never.
