I’m scared of everything.

I think Jennifer Grey said it best as Baby in Dirty Dancing... 

I’m scared of everything.

People think because I come off as strong and solid that I’m not terrified. I’m scared of being alone for the rest of my life. I’m scared of never loving myself. I’m scared of being poor. I’m scared of being rich. I’m scared of driving in the snow. I’m scared of living a life that isn’t full of romantic comedy drama and love. 

Maybe that last part makes me naive to believe that that exists. But I can tell you one thing I’m not scared of. I’m not scared of my non extinguishable hope. Everyone needs hope. Hope fuels Hollywood. Hope fuels presidential elections. Hope even fuels prejudice and mass discrimination.

So maybe I’m scared. Actually I am for sure scared. Of everything. But I have hope. And that’s what allows me to continue living each day. There is light at the end of the tunnel. It’s a pin point of light, but it’s there. Don’t let anyone block your ray of light.
