one of my favourite things about until dawn is that while it may not make sense for josh to play the prank on the three people who arguably had the least involvement in the prank on hannah (ashley is ofc debatable but compared to the other 4 she was more of participant rather than an instigator), it means that those who instigated the prank receive their karma for what they did

mike, after leading a girl on and pretending to want to sleep with her has to watch his girlfriend be ripped away from him right as they are about to have sex, he then has to physically see the consequences of both his actions (shooting emily) and his inaction (being unable to save jessica in time)

emily is betrayed by someone she thought she could trust in a room full of friends who are not only doing nothing to defend or help her whatsoever but who have actively turned against and othered her. to rub salt in the wound, both times it's mike munroe commiting this betrayal

and jessica has to spend a night in the mines, cold and alone and afraid having no idea what is going on or what is in the dark with her, only that she is in danger and she is not alone. the only difference is that jessica gets someone to help her if matt survives

(am honourable mention is ashley being haunted by hannahs "ghost", plus dollhouse recreations and video proof of what she had been a part of, but that was josh not fate)

I relate a lot to gay/lesbian bisexuals. like I hear people saying stuff along the lines of “yeah I’m bi technically, and acknowledging that is important to me and my understanding of my identity, but I don’t always use the term bi because it implies some stuff that’s inaccurate about my levels of attraction to varying genders and what I’m realistically looking for in a relationship.” like yeah I get that, that’s what my experience is like being bi and aro. I wanna use bi because it’s a truth about myself that it’s important for me to acknowledge… but I’m not going to be living a very bi life, you know?

Games Untold Theory

Okay so I was rereading That Night In Prague and noticed a little detail in one of the chapters that then made me reread the epilogue in The Same Backward as Forward.

I think that Avery and Alice actually met each other and talked for a bit, although clearly Avery didn’t realize it (but clearly Alice knew who she was).

In That Night In Prague, Avery notes that the older woman is wearing a red scarf 🧣 over her hair, which is the same thing that Alice was wearing when she met Hannah at the diner she was working at.

Also, Avery says notices that the older woman wearing the red scarf was assessing her and didn’t even try to hide the fact that she was and then almost gave her a slight smile.

My theory is that Alice clearly knew that it was Avery because it was said that she was the one who struck up the conversation with Avery.

(I really want to know what is was the Alice was assessing about Avery)
