Your orc is ruthless (pt 3)

“The human is gone.” The leader, Thrale, speaks to the clan. His dark eyes scanning the crowd in front of him. Some of the orcs look like they’re paying more attention, and others begin murmuring to one another about a few problems that would cause.

Thrale raises his hand, silently calling for attention again. “I know, the human was helpful to us-“ he’s cut off by an older male, with scars all over one arm and a white eye. “That human wasn’t just helpful, that human saved my arm! I could barely move it after we got attacked, but im building strength all over again!” He snorts, looking around. “Who messed with the human? It proved itself long ago!” The orcs look around, searching for someone to blame it on before the chief interjects.

“The human is gone! We must come to terms with this before anything else. They may never return.” Thrale sighs, rubbing his head. “Rio says they felt like they didnt belong, and left. This is all we know.”

“Rio a damn lie!” Blacksmith Arlo yells, snarling angrily. The chief seems suprised, tilting his head at the orc. “Rio did something, cus the human was clawing at the gate! There’s marks to prove it!” He points to the general direction of the front gate, and a few orcs run towards it before the chief says anything.

“Arlo! Do you have evidence it was Rio? We cannot be hasty with this situation. One of our own didnt feel welcome, and those scratches could’ve been from anything.” He asks, and the orcs look to Arlo, expectant. “Rio was the last one seen with the human after Ja’kal said it’s hair was nice enough to hold while he railed it.” Ja’kal coughs and looks away, sporting a black eye from where Rio punched him.

“That’s not enough evidence.” Thrale tiredly says, pushing a few loose strands of hair out of his face. “They still could’ve just left on their own.” Arlo opens his mouth to speak, and immediately is shut down by the chief turning away and beginning to assign daily tasks.

After a few jobs are put out, the three orcs that ran to the gate return, Rio being dragged between them as he curses them angrily. “Chief! Rio was shaving the marks from the door! And the shavings smelled like the human’s blood!” One yells, and Thrale growls, stepping forward and parting the orcs like light through trees.

Rio breathes heavily, knowing they wont understand his reasoning as he is sneered at by Arlo.

You woke up, fingers burhing as the adrenaline from yesterday leaves you aching and sore. But this… this is a new feeling.

Your eyes open, and the first thing you see is dirt and weeds. The memory of you actually falling asleep not coming to mind as the nearby water rushes, almost calming you ic you hadnt looked at your bloody, ripped finger tips. A small pool of blood drips from the wounds, your hands covered in red as you sit up suddenly, gasping at the sight. Most of the blood dried, but ants still cover random parts of your skin and dirt litters your wound, so you almost scramble to the water, washing yourself of all the bugs and dirt with small tears from the cold water.

Rio. Fucking Rio. He forced you out without a word. Why did he do that? You almost thought he loved you. How could he just-

Your stomach growls, not having eaten since lunch the day before. Getting up, you strip your clothes as gentle as possible because of your fingers and softly cry out at the sensation of cloth rubbing your wounds. Dropping the cloths on the bank, you rub your back gently and rub the dirt on yourself into the water. The small flecks running downstream faster than you can blink. Your body feeling the heavy tide push harder, but you dont mind it. Not caring. Not anymore.

Eventually you get out, wringing the clothes out gently, and keeping yourself from squeezing too hard. Your hands a very, very heavy handicap at the moment. Using some of the cloth, you tear it with your teeth and tie your fingers individually, hoping to keep most things from hurting you as you walk downstream.

You forget the blood on the dirt from where you slept, but something smells it. And it decides it’s too good to pass up.

Some extra notes for my ride the cyclone roleplay, mainly about certain words that I would prefer not to be used. While I headcanon the choir to have died in 2016, it is important that we make this a safe space for all.

- Things like cr*pple, esk*mo, m*dg*t, and gy*sy are slurs and should NOT be used. It's seems many do not know this, so just in case. Handic*pped, sp*z, and cret*n should probably also be avoided. And of course the r-slur. I didn't mention it before, but apparently people are starting to use it again, so I'm here to remind you DO NOT USE IT. Considering most if not all of us are gay, I'd say you can say the regular gay slurs granted in a comedic way. But if you are uncomfortable with that, please speak up and I will ask for those those words to be avoided too.

- Please do not use narcissist/narcissistic/narcissism as an insult. It perpetuates the stigma around people with NPD. Here are some replacement words: egomaniac, egotistical, egocentric, self centered, self absorbed, self serving, self righteous, self obsessed, selfish, vain, arrogant, uncaring, inconsiderate, manipulative, gaslighter, prideful, haughty, holier-then-thou, pompous, snob, snobbish, snooty, condescending, conceited, lofty, stuck-up, smug, mean, uppity, uppish, cocky, big headed, high and mighty, full of themselves, above themselves, etc.

- Also do not use psychotic, delusional, delusion, bipolar, schizophrenic, or schizophrenia, unless you are talking about the disorders. And don't use hallucination/hallucinating/hallucinate or paranoia/paranoid as hyperboles. Use them correctly and appropriately. Just in general don't misuse disorder terms.

- And do not use the words psych0, schiz0, psychopath, or sociopath.

If there are any other words you are uncomfortable with being used, please let me know! And while it's important to listen to disabled people, it's also important to remember that fighting ableism is more than a list of words. These are simply words I've heard people whom those words apply to say to avoid, and even then they may disagree. So personally I just exclude words that are linked directly to the disorders. And again, these are just words I'd prefer for you not to use. I know this is a lot to remember, and I don't want you to stress out about it. Ultimately it is your choice whether or not to exclude those words, I am just encouraging you to do so.

Additionally, before reblogging as your character, state in the comments you are doing so. We want everyone to have a turn to speak.

Also I think during the roleplay we should DM the others before we start a new thread, just to make sure nobody has any schedule conflicts that day. (Or is like, sleeping because time differences.) I'm going to be working some days, so there will be certain times I will be unable to do it. I am, for some reason, unable to DM @savannahwiththegreeneteyes, so after you become mutuals make sure to check if you can DM them, and if not, you can probably send them an ask.
