how long had it been since he had seen hinamori - though, he never made an effort to keep communication up, either. how did they communicate, anyway? there were still nuances of her people he didn’t understand. but the last time he had seen her... he was the reaper. it truly was a long time.

Can’t act like I’m buddy-buddy with the freaks from Squad 11, or the dickhead that runs the Men’s Shinigami Association, or... Ahem, hey, I know I shouldn’t be shittalking anyone, much less a lieutenant or an entire squad, alright!? Fuckin’ magic questions...”

He hadn’t answered either one yet. Kew took a deep breath, looking off to the side. “Favorite’s gotta be the Cap’n, Ukitake. Wouldn’t even be here if it wasn’t for him, I think it’d be pretty cold if I said anyone else. He’s a good guy, can see why he’s a captain. Momo ‘n Rukia are great too, they’re pretty close.

“First bit, uhh... I mean, I could say all of ‘em. Wouldn’t it be great if I did some super-amazing thing that made every damn shinigami like ‘wow, that guy’s amazing, how did he do that!?’ But like, in an impressed way, not a, ‘we’re gonna kill him and find out how he works inside’ way. Especially the old guy at the top, the one that smells like burning, that’d be cool. If I had to pick one though, It’d hafta be Captain Twinkie at Squad 10. I dunno what I could do that wouldn’t make him roll his eyes and call me an idiot-- I can think of one other captain that fits that bill too-- but that’s what would make it so amazin’ if it did happen, right!?”

Hinamori-chan’s chocolates… even if they are out of friendly obligation, they are homemade and delicious! He will treasure them.

get some topical anti-inflammatory stuff. you can use oils like kwan-loong (which is my favorite) to put on before bed and/or work…just make sure to not rub it in too much or put on after a shower. It will burn like a mother. Worked like a charm for me after my black belt test…otherwise I’d have been moving like a sloth at work

I keep forgetting about the ALO cream I have. It’s just super strong on the nose but I may have to use a tiny bit over them before sleeping tonight. Thank you for the reminder of such things. <3

ok but did u consider the fact that rangiku is the one who scouted toshiro and brought him to the academy and then watched him grow up in her division seated under her only for him to surpass her, still a child, and then watch said child shes looked over lose it after experiencing the trauma with aizen where he stabbed hinamori and watching him watch her struggle in the 4th division healing all the while grieving the loss of gin and putting on a brave face for him so he didnt worry about her too

bUT also she watches his hands clench and unclench as he paces by hinamori's room and whenever they clench theres a slight tremble to them that only she manages to notice and she knows she cant say something but feels like she should bc even though hes her superior shes watched him grow up and theyre a squad theyre a family and thats her family and hes clearly grieving just like she is but for very different reasons AND

SO MAYBE SHE ACTUALLY DOES SAY SOMETHING OR PUTS HER HAND ON HIS SHOULDER AND HE VIOLENTLY SHRUGS IT OFF AND TELLS HER HES FINE AND TO LEAVE HIM BE AND DONT U HAVE PAPERWORK U SHOULD BE DOING IDK AND THEN SHE PAUSES . HAND HOVERING. AND NOW HES TREMBLING FULL BODY IN FRUSTRATION AND ANGER AT AIZEN BUT ALSO IN FEAR AND GRIEF OVER DOING ALL THAT TO MOMO AND MAYBE SHE HUGS HIM SCOOT. MAYBE SHE DOES

          rANGUKU NEVER LETS TOSHIRO SEE HER PAIN FROM GIN THO. IT’S SO HARD FOR HER TO JUST LEAVE HIM BC OF ALL THEY’VE BEEN THROUGH TOGETHER. SHE STRUGGLES WITH WHAT TO DO TO EVEN TRY AND COMFORT HIM. THEIR DYNAMIC HAS CHANGED TO MUCH SHE DOESN’T KNOW WHAT WOULD BE APPROPRIATE GIVEN THEIR CURRENT ONE. SHE STILL VIVIDLY REMEMBERS THE DAY SHE TOLD HIM TO LISTEN TO THAT VOICE INSIDE OF HIM, & REMEMBERS HIM RISING THROUGH THE TENTH

            SHE’S SO PROUD OF HIS DEVELOPMENT AND FEELS SO BAD AT THE SAME TIME FOR NOT BEING ENOUGH TO STEP UP AS CAPTAIN. SHE KNEW THOUGH HE REALLY WOULD BE THE BETTER CHOICE FOR THEIR DIVISION. SHE HATES HOW PEOPLE DISRESPECTED HIM BECAUSE OF HIS AGE. GOD MARS THEY’VE GOT THIS UNSPOKEN THING THAT THEY’RE EACH OTHER’S FAMILY, THAT THEY’LL NEVER LET ANYTHING HAPPEN TO THE OTHER.

            GOD MARS WHAT IF SHE JUST GETS ON HER KNEES AND DOES HUG HIM?? IGNORES HIM TELLING HER TO LET GO AND TO STOP WHAT SHE WAS DOING AT ONCE. IGNORES HIS HANDS TRYING TO PUSH HER AWAY AND HIS WORDS. THEY’RE BOTH JUST HURTING, SHE WANTS TO TELL HIM IT WASN’T HIS FAULT. SHE KNOWS HE’D CALL HER A LIAR...WOULD SAY THAT IT DIDN’T MATTER IT WAS STILL HIS SWORD THAT PIERCED HER NOT ONCE BUT TWICE AND PUT HER IN THAT CONDITION.
