West End Costumes: Hana Stewart (2024)

Back with yet another alternate costume identification post! This time: Hana Stewart!

Hana is wearing her original orange alternate top and pants (all the way from her 2019-21 West End contract!). She is wearing an altered version of Leesa Tulley’s peplum.

Wild that her costume is still in use! This is the longest any costume has been used by quite a bit.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Aragon Costume

Well, y’all. With the debut of the new Boleyn Tour cast it’s that time again: identifying repurposed costumes!! I’ve been wanting to wait for all the alternate debuts to make a comprehensive post, but this one is so much fun that I thought I’d go ahead and post about it now.

The costume started out as Mallory Maedke’s for Broadway. Hana Stewart also wore it as needed while serving as a temporary alternate on Broadway in spring 2022.

At Broadway cast change in 2022, Marilyn Caserta became the first universal alternate. Mallory’s costume was reused for her, but a new skirt was made. And now, in 2024, Amaya White seems to be wearing the same top with Marilyn’s skirt!

It’s so fun to watch the costumes go from queen-to-queen. Off the top of my head this breaks the record for the amount of time a costume has been worn by different queens*, which is pretty neat!

*Three full contracts for the top. Hana’s was temporary and concurrent with Mallory’s so I’m not counting it separately.

Finally time for one of my favorite activities: designing missing alt variations. Aside from the main design orange only has Cleves, but since it was designed for Aragon that skirt is an obvious next addition. So Hana Stewart and Ella Burns orange Aragon and Cleves. As usual with alt designs I updated some details to the current version of a costume (or in this case what I think the current version would be).
