All three pairs are from three dramas that have different plot base and backgrounds but each couple are built and connected through guilt and trauma bond, that makes their relationship, their love truly special to me.

Side note for some no-loveline-Kdramas recommendations (especially for those who like dark, deep and serious shows like me)

I love their friendship. They really went through a LOT, but they still managed to help so many people and support each other.

Watching deserter pursuit and one thing i dont like is that the soldiers look so old. Jun ho, ho yeol, all the deserters, are there for their mandatory military service. Boys usually do that at age 20 and are required to have it done by 30. But the actors are SO old. Jun ho's actor is 35. Ho yeol's is 40!!

Now imagine all the trauma and violence happening and you look on screen and its happening to a fresh faced 20 year old boy. A child.

Also, and i think western audiences are missing this mostly, koreans get it, its as much an indictment of class as it is military toxic masculinity. Lower class boys and boys from rural areas get sent to more dangerous parts of the country. They get fewer privileges. And it results in that kind of atmosphere of hurt others or be hurt yourself. Its a scarcity mindset. The children of the professional class, seoul national university students, the weathly - this doesn't happen to them
