Hungry for some food but only getting fed disappointment as you looked in the fridge.

“Hamzah we literally have zero food for supper, we need to go to the store like now.” 

You yell out into the living room. You can hear him sigh and grab his keys.

“I’ll start the car then.”

Hoping in the pasenger seat with a shopping list on your phone’s note app, Hamzah closes his driving door with his camera recording.

“Why do you have your camera?”

“I just want to film our shopping trip chill boi.” He says smiling

“Ok but I have a list so no fooling around.”

Heading to the pasta isle, you and Hamzah had been laughing the whole time as you both took turns filming each other. Walking past strangers trying to keep yourself together.

He points the camera at you, “Boi why do you want pasta let's get pizza girl.” 

Cracking a smile you roll your eyes and grab spaghetti. 

“Because I said! Girl bye” You said back playfully.

Cart full of food at the register as Hamzah films you paying. 

He talks into the camera, “She pays for everything for me but trust im not broke please don't think that. Boi.” 

“You are tho.” Looking at him smiling.

“Girl.”

After paying and having hands full of bags, you put them in the back of the car and start to head back home. Hamzah still talking, making an outro while you hold the camera.

“Ok you can press stop recording now.” You stop filming and put the camera down.

“I lowkey don't want pasta tho.” He says while pulling into pizza hut. “Bro you piss me off Hamzah.” You laugh out.

you sitting on the floor of his apartment feels awkward. you’ve been there, in this exact apartment, hundreds of times, but it feels weird this time around.

it’s obvious to everyone around him that you and hamzah definitely have something going on. whether or not it’s exaggerated is unimportant, it’s obvious there’s something there. but it’s the uncertainty of how you feel that eats him up, every little thing you say replays in his mind to figure out how you truly feel about him, and it’s caused tension between you two.

he knows it, and you know it.

but you’re there, in his sweater, in his apartment, hanging out with him and his friends, looking as beautiful as ever and he has to resist the urge to kiss you because if any, that’d cause even more tension.

“hamzah?” you whisper, snapping him out of his daydreams, “you okay? you’ve been acting weird recently” he looks up at you, “huh? oh yeah, i’m alright, just thinking” he murmurs and goes back to fidgeting with his hands.

he feels your hand on his knee and he freezes, “okay we need to talk” you say quietly, it catches him off guard for a second as you take his wrist and move him to the other room while martin and mandy are joking around. “cmon, talk to me, what’s wrong?”

his mind shuts off, he gently grabs your face to pull you forward to kiss you, pressing your lips together. for a second, you don’t kiss back. until he feels your hands at the sides of his face, kissing him back. you pull away from him and smile sheepishly.

“why didn’t you say something sooner” you giggle, God you’re so cute, “i never thought you wanted me” he says breathlessly

“how could i have not wanted you?”

and in that moment, everything about you, is perfect to him and he just doesn’t know why. maybe it’s the way you look when his clothes are drowning you cuz they’re so oversized, maybe it’s the way you’re looking up at him with those big eyes and smiling, maybe it’s because you’re all he’s ever wanted.
