Hamtaro X Shimamura

Release Date: October 28th, 2023

This was a special collaboration with Shimamura, a women's clothing store in Japan. There was a large selection of goods to choose from, with 3 to 4 different designs per product. The designs were of Hamtaro, Oxnard, Bijou, and either Boss or a cute pattern of the ham-hams with suitcases and airplanes decorating it.

The first image shows the types of bags in stock: mini drawstring pouches, pencil cases, makeup boxes, and tote bags. The second page carried accessories and home goods like wallets, mini metal keychains, light reflector keychains (for walking around at night), pillows, and storage boxes.

These products were limited to specific Shimamura stores across Japan, and it appears that there was only 1 wallet of each design sold at these stores, making these goods very desirable for collectors!

This image goes around the casual hamtaro rememberer circles often and it bothers me so much. First of all that design was introduced in like 2005 and mostly only used from 2006 to 2008 (for the short-lived Haai cgi series) afaik. Tbh hamtaro was not up to much in 2011, except for the ORIGINAL fat hamtaro TV show being re-aired as Dechu. And even Dechu's revamped opening has pretty chubby hamhams

Anyway, yes he did have this phase of his life but it was a pretty short one and he has been back to being a fat creature much longer. But really even his Haai skinny form is cute. Look at him in the DS game

Is it the superior hamtaro? No. But he does not deserve to be ratio'd for his short existence.

Hamtaro X Pui Pui Molcar Collab

Currently being hinted at on Japanese Twitter, a collab with Pui Pui Molcar is expected to be released in the near future! So far silhouettes have hinted that the collab will include Hamtaro, Bijou, Oxnard, and Boss. Twitter is expecting a new silhouette in 2 days (November 28th 2023). I will update once an official release date is announced.

Hamtaro X Pui Pui Molcar

The full visual for the Hamtaro X Pui Pui Molcar collab has been released! This collaboration will have a cute picnic theme, with goods available for a limited time. Stores will be pretty crowded due to the holiday rush, so entrance the first few days will only be for people who have won a lottery

If you are in japan during this time, be sure to apply for the lottery since merchandise may run out! Here is a link to apply. The application period starts December 11th and closes December 17th.
