Hamtaro Rubber Keychains Gacha

These super cute keychains would be perfect for any collection! Not much news yet on these but I'm assuming each gacha pull will be 300 to 400 yen?

Hamtaro X Godzilla

Release Date: December 2024

A few bags just released with new art! The art depicts a few of the Godzilla-hams spending being comfy and having drinks together. It appears that these bags are rather small, the red blue and green ones are W90 x D35 x H90mm, a good size for storing small trinkets or cash

The white pouch in the top right is a bit bigger at W180 x D50 x H120mm, a good size for holding stationary or makeup

Theres also a mini tote at H180mm to W280 x D100 x H195mm.

The small red blue and green bags have the designs embroidered on the front and back, it's so cute that they included a little coffee design! The white bags unfortunately are a print with embroidery around the edge, but the star and moon embroidery make up for it. The bags also have inner lining using the same art!

Ham-ha! Third installment of me searching for Hamtaro merch! This time I found a ton of stuff!

In the previous post I brought up a store that someone sold their collection to, I was lucky to find that a few more plushies were brought in! Everything in the first picture except for the Penelope keychain were from there.

Next I hunted through a few Thank You Marts, looks like most still have a few bits from the Godzilla-ham 2024 collab but I just grabbed a washi tape from this one.

I got super lucky walking past a Village Vanguard! They had the last two Playcharm plushies I was missing, as well as the Pashmina and Penelope keychain (which I thought was a Kiddy Land exclusive???)

Next stop was Shinjuku, where I found the re-released 2024 crane game plushies and the 2019 Oxnard plush! I also grabbed another coaster, I was hoping for another Cappy and Panda but oh well..

The Godzilla store is in Shinjuku and I was excited to see they had some exclusive hamtaro merch there! The pink and yellow squares are T-shirts; I've never seen them advertised! The colors are a bit much, so I just got the pink one.

Finally there wasn't much in Nakano, but I did see this Hamtaro mask from the 2000s. Sadly it wasn't for sale, but still cool to see!!

I should have one more merch post, and then I'll show everything I bought in one photo. Hopefully I'll have set it all up in my room (if you guys wanna see my hamtaro bedroom)

Ham-ha! Here's a few more goods I managed to find! I was super lucky, someone had sold off their collection to a store right next to my hotel, so each day I would go to grab whatever plushies I was missing. I got all of the plishies in the first image from there.

I also found the Oxnard nendoroid that released recently. This one was actually difficult to find, I only saw it in three stores the entire trip!

Right below the nendoroid are two buttons from the Hamtqro Mochi Cafe back in 2020. These originally came from blind bags that were only sold at Tokyo Skytree (where the cafe was set up). I found these and the plastic Oxnard figure in a second hand shop in Akihabara. That shop also had a ton of the 2023 Godzilla-ham gacha, here they are locked up!

I found the Waiting For You Forever 2024 gacha in a random gacha stores in Akihabara. I only managed to find it by checking Japanese Twitter constantly. I'm lucky I found it because it sold out a couple hours after I got my set!

Lastly I found the Godzilla-ham sticker sheet at Yamashiroya, they didn't have the biggest selection so I'd suggest checking a Yodabashi first if you're looking for the plushies.

Hamtaro Turning Butt Super Big Plush Crane Game Prize

A big new Hamtaro plush surprisingly popped up on Twitter a few days ago! This new plushie shows hamtaro turned a bit with a happy expression. It's about 33cm, a pretty decent size for crane game plushies.

There didn't seem to be any warning that this was arriving, but it seems like many crane game locations across Japan are receiving the prize the first week of December. I managed to find a machine being stocked the day it released, I'm so lucky to have gotten him!!

As of December 1st 2024: The gacha machines have been restocked! I saw tons of them in Ikebukuro, Yokohama, Shinjuku and Akihabara!!!

Hamtaro Rubber Coaster Gacha

November's gachapon were just announced and I had no idea we were getting more Hamtaro merch! These are rubber coasters that will appear in the flat gachapon machines, and each pull will be 400 Yen.

The designs are so pretty!!!! Not really an autumn/winter vibe but I'll never complain about more hamtaro merch! My favorite is Panda and Cappy building some ikea furniture together 🥰

Ham-ha!

I found a bit of merch the first few days of my trip! Here is what I was able to find!

Hamtaro Gacha Coasters: I've been checking Twitter and was worried I wouldn't find anything since so many gacha stores were saying they were sold out. I somehow found THREE full gacha machines in at LABI1 LIFE SELECT Ikebukuro! I wanted to get 2 of each design but stopped when I got a third of Oxnard and Boss. These are rubber coasters either a raised print of the characters, this is my favorite thing I've gotten so far!!!

Next up, I found a few bits of the Godzilla-ham X Thank You Mart collab in Sunshine City Ikebukuro. The items were scattered around the store so I didn't get any pictures there 😢

Then I found the Playcharm phone plushie Bijou at Kiddy Land in Ikebukuro (the two Oxnards were at Yodabashi in Akihabara, I got a duplicate so I could use one, since they get dirty quickly)

Tokyo Skytree had a Hamtaro cafe that was mochi themed a few years back. They still had a bit of merch there but not as much as the last time I visited. Skytree products are super expensive so I try to limit myself there, this time I got the Oxnard cushion button.

Tokyo Skytree had a Nanoblock store and I'm so glad I saw a video of someone walking through there a couple months ago; in there video I saw both hamtaro sets! I was missing the first set so I'm glad I got the last box!!

Lastly, all of the other Godzilla-ham merch was at Yodabashi in Akihabara in the Godzilla section. This was a different aisle than the Oxnard Playcharm, so you really have to search around for Hamtaro merch!! I grabbed the items I was missing from my collection here, but im still missing a few things so hopefully Yamashiroya or the Godzilla store have the rest!!

Hamtaro X Fuji Q Highland (Theme Park)

This is a continuation of my previous post!

I cant believe they had some of the Ham Ham Heartbreak characters at Fuji Q!! I haven't seen any Spat merch other than the mini figs so this was a cool find for me!

The park seemed to have a lot of hamtaro stuff scattered around, things like statues, characters plastered onto rides, promotional art, and merch!

Did you know that there was also a hotel room collab with Hamtaro?? The pictures aren't the best but there's a tiny bit of ham-ham themeing here!

I wish I could have gone here before everything was taken down 🥲

Hamtaro X Fuji Q Highland (Theme Park)

Dates of Collaboration: July 2003 - June 2017

Can you believe there was a Hamtaro themed section of an amusement park?? This section of Fuji Q Highland was named the Ham-Ham Doki Doki Kingdom and housed a handful of fun rides and attractions, which included:

The Great Fluffy Sky Adventure (Rollercoaster)

Hide-and-Seek in the Doki Doki Forest (Rollercoaster on a bike cart)

Swaying Sea-Ham Ship (Pirate Ship Ride)

Ticky-Ticky Sunflower Ferris Wheel (Small Kiddie Ride)

Kids Park (Playground)

A special Ham-Ham was born out of this collab: Fuji-Q-kun!

Unfortunately the Hamtaro section of the theme park was closed down in 2017 and rebranded, with some attractions completely removed from the park. The Hamtaro wiki speculates that there were licensing issues.

Hamtaro Drawstring Pouch

New gachapon were announced the other day! These gacha are of little pouches depicting some of the ham-hams getting ready for spring! This is the same art as the rubber keychains that are expected to release in the next few months. Keep an eye out for future Hamtaro merch, we're bound to get a bunch for the 25th anniversary!!!!

Hamtaro Crane Game Prize

HUH?? These little crane game plushies are getting a re-release!? They must have been insanely popular!!

These ham-hams will be re-releasing next month at crane game centers across Japan. These guys are about 10cm tall and come with a string on their heads, perfect to turn into a keychain or just sit on your bookshelf! They have chubby cheeks from eating so many sunflower seeds 🥰

Hamtaro Playcharm Phone Plushies

Release Date: October 2024

This is the second set of the Playcharm series! The first set included cute little plushies of Hamtaro and Bijou, and now we're adding Oxnard and Penelope to the ham-ham lineup! The plushies are meant to attach to the back of your phone, I'm not sure if it's a suction cup or something like a popsocket. They seem like they would be a cute addition to anyone's hamtaro collection!

Each ham-ham is around 2,400 Yen, I have no idea what stores will carry this, but it looks like Oxnard and Penelope were up for preorder on AmiAmi
