rent a motorhome in New Zealand
We had a map of Vodafone that we only used when needed. So not for FB, blog & Co. but for mails or bookings (ferry Steward Island, huts Great Walks ...). Otherwise, we had collected what we want to look up or do on the net and "worked through" this at the next Spark station. Very interesting how surfing behavior changes when internet access is limited to a certain time of the day. Here you will find a small overview of the most beautiful routes and travel routes with the camper in New Zealand. You can combine them with each other so that you can knit a wonderful longer tour out of them. Of course, you can also read my testimonials about my own motorhome tours in New Zealand. Warning, left-hand traffic applies! There are also various types of penguins on the coast and whale watching is particularly popular, as there are numerous dolphins and whales frolic off the coast of New Zealand. The most fascinating is certainly New Zealand's very special, varied nature, because almost everything from rainforest to steppe-like landscapes to alpine vegetation can be found on the island. The Franz Josef Glacier, which borders the rainforest, is a prime example of this diversity. Nature lovers should also explore the Fiordland National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Do I skip a place or do I stay a little longer, just the way you want it. Instead of the planned two days, we stayed at the Bay of Islands for 5 days in order not only to explore the area but to really enjoy it. Can therefore only recommend a camper holiday in New Zealand to anyone who wants to experience more than just a simple package tour. New Zealand is pure nature and there are really a lot of places where we wished we could stop short. North of Auckland is the Northland Region, a wonderland of beaches and laid-back coastal towns. Together with the Coromandel Peninsula in the southwest of the city, this is truly the perfect destination for a summer road trip. Due to the abundance of campsites and holiday parks, a trip with a motorhome in New Zealand can not be better than relaxing for a week in one of these coveted holiday destinations. With our CamperDays portal, we also help you to quickly and easily find the right motorhome offer for your trip. Without smartphone. Sure, why not. At least now or since New Zealand I have thrown down apps like Facebook and Twitter.
Price comparison for campers
Before driving, inquire about the traffic regulations, especially those relating to alcohol consumption. li >
That always worked out great , for example, if we had to do laundry or a particularly rainy day was behind us.
The right of way is regulated here by signs.
We have been dreaming of going to New Zealand for a long time to travel.
Does New Zealand have snakes?
In the country's current budget, campervan hire NZ a price increase per box of cigarettes to 20 New Zealand dollars (equivalent to around 12 euros) is planned , reports the "New York Times". In addition, the price should rise in the next four years by a further 46 percent to about 30 dollars (around 18 euros).
The maximum speed outside of a town / city area is 100 km / h, in the city area at 50 km / h. Similar traffic rules apply cheap campervan hire NZ as in Europe. New Zealand offers you a network of around 92,000 kilometers, which is surrounded by unique vegetation. Ask your motorhome or book available vehicles cheap and cheap campervan hire NZ directly. We're going to tour the North and South Island, and we're really excitedâŠ.
What is the time of year in New Zealand now?
As a result, the New Zealand seasons are opposite to those in Europe and North America. Summer is from December to February, autumn from March to May, winter from June to August and spring from September to November.
Only a few locals drove to camp, which had the advantage for us that we never had any problems finding overnight accommodation on weekends. I had a lot of respect for driving on the left side of the road. Before I went to New Zealand, I read a lot that you get used to it quickly. And I can definitely confirm that. Within two hours we were used to driving on the "wrong" side. Your prices fluctuate just like the offer; Which model you choose depends on personal preferences (some vans are simply white, some are crazy and individually decorated with graffiti ...), need for luxury (open to the top) and willingness to take risks (some providers rent inexpensive old vehicles, which of course tend to go flat out) ). Your penultimate stop is in Cambridge, a city in the Waikato region. Near the city is the Lake Karapiro, where residents and tourists can row perfectly. After a tour of the lake, you will travel to Hamilton. The beautifully landscaped Hamilton Gardens are also worth a visit, as is the Hamilton Zoo, where visitors can observe countless local animals.
These attractions await New Zealand vacationers
In more remote areas you can expect the New Zealand specialty, the gravel roads - gravel roads. After heavy rains, these can sometimes be impassable. The big question is how you can save on the spot. To be able to drive a vehicle in New Zealand, you need an internationally valid driver's license, you must be at least 21 years old (at STA Travel there are also providers where the minimum age is 18) and have a national driver's license from your home country that is older than one year.

What's on your own travel bucket list? If you're like lots of people, the more you travel, the harder places you supplment your bucket list. So when the editors in the website Big 7 Travel announced this list with the world's top 50 bucket list destinations, we stopped in your tracks and started checking off the boxes. The website surveyed its 1.5 million-strong social audience in order to determine the most effective bucket list places all over the world. According to Sarah Clayton-Lea, head of quite happy with Big 7 Travel, this can be a first-time the site has assembled this list. "Bucket list travel was a trend that sprouted time and again in the past surveys when asking our readers what type of travel content they most enjoyed consuming," says Clayton-Lea. "So, our curiosity got better people and that we desired to know which destinations people are hoping to see for 2019/2020." Lessons From Coronavirus For Future Climate Change Public Health Crises 6 Ways Being Selfish Can Make You Successful The results of the worldâs top 50 bucket list destinations include some from the most beautiful places on earth. "White sandy beaches remain a must-visit for most, with vibrant cities also making a physique on the lot of peopleâs bucket lists," says Clayton-Lea. Countries with naturally beautiful scenery and world-famous landmarks came out on top: 22% with the destinations on their email list have white sandy beaches, while 52% are iconic cities. "With over one-third of our own readers saying they appear to Instagram for travel inspiration, it feels right that cities with colorful neighborhoods (like Cape Townâs Bo Kaap) made the cut," says Clayton-Lea. Bali topped this list from the 50 most favored bucket list destination on earth, but there was also some unexpected picks. "The top 10 list has a lot of the expected dream destinations, but there are some surprises on their email list: Paro Valley in Bhutan, as an example, or Virunga National Park within the Congo," says Clayton-Lea. "I think this shows an excellent appetite to get a need to get off the grid which enable it to only believe that social networking (and Netflix, inside the case of Virunga!) is liable for spreading the word of the amazing places." An interesting factoid uncovered in case study: Most people have the average bucket list of just 11 places, with the hope of visiting seven of these locations in their lifetime. Rail increase in Auckland transportation plan
NEW ZEALAND: Additional financial investment in rural and light rail is to be moneyed under the NZ$ 28bn Auckland Transport Alignment Program revealed by Transport Minister Phil Twyford and Mayor Phil Goff on April 26.
Referred to as the countryâs biggest ever civil building and construction program, ATAP 2018 is planned to âcreate a 21st century transportation network for the cityâ. The federal government is to contribute NS$ 18bn while NS$ 10bn will be raised in your area including NZ$ 4 · 4bn from a regional fuel tax.
Within the plan, NZ$ 8 · 4bn has actually been allocated for ârapid transitâ, consisting of suburban rail improvements, a proposed light rail network and the Panmureâ Botany Eastern busway. The government has already devoted NZ$ 1 · 4bn to the City Rail Link now under construction. Other rail enhancements include extension of the 25 kV 50 Hz rural electrification south from Papakura to Pukekohe, replacing the present DMU shuttle; Auckland Transportation has actually currently bought an additional 15 EMUs from CAF which had actually made arrangement for onboard energy storage in case the wiring did not go on. The part-built 3rd primary track to be completed from south of Otahuhu to Wiri Junction will help to segregate KiwiRail freight trains to and from Westfield yard from more intensive rural services, while more level crossings are to be grade-separated.
Inviting the statement, KiwiRail CEO Peter Riedy said the nationwide operator was âworking carefully with the federal government, MOT and Waikato Regional Councilâ to look at the viability of running longer-distance commuter services between Auckland and Hamilton.
In addition to the cash assigned under ATAP, Goff stated the city was looking âto find innovative methods to fund further development, such as PPPs, special purpose automobiles or facilities bondsâ. In specific, the NZ$ 1 · 8bn allocated for light rail is imagined as seed cash to take advantage of contributions from other sources, with a further announcement expected quickly. Twyford stated the first top priority would be to establish a route from the city to MÄngere, near Aucklandâs international airport, with the northwestern passage as a 2nd line.

Crusaders vs. Chiefs in the 2023 Super Rugby Final in Hamilton
New Post has been published on https://thedailyrugby.com/crusaders-chiefs-2023-super-rugby-final-hamilton/
The Daily Rugby

Crusaders vs. Chiefs in the 2023 Super Rugby Final in Hamilton
One of the best seasons in the competitionâs history will come to a close if the Chiefs defeat the Crusaders in the Super Rugby championship game on Saturday. After defeating every other team in the competition at least once, they would become the first team to defeat the Crusaders three times in a single season.
The Chiefs outperformed every other club in the round-robin in terms of points scored and allowed. With nine front-line players out, their lone defeat came at the hands of the Reds by a score of three. After a 27-phase attack that lasted far into extra time, they came close to scoring a try to win the game.
Crusaders vs. Chiefs in the 2023 Super Rugby Final in Hamilton
Who are the most impressive and imposing Super Rugby champions? And how would the Chiefs compare to these illustrious titans?
Samipeni Finau, a loose forward, and Emoni Narawa, a winger, have little time to celebrate being named to their first All Blacks squad before getting down to business for Saturdayâs Super Rugby Pacific final in a crucial week for the Waikato Chiefs.
Finau and Narawa, both of Tonga origin, were included in Ian Fosterâs Rugby Championship team on Sunday. They were among ten Chiefs players honored for an outstanding campaign that will conclude with a titanic match against the Canterbury Crusaders.
Sam Whitelock has an opportunity to play against Chiefs in the Super Rugby championship thanks to Crusaders.
Super Rugby Pacific final:Â Crusaders v Chiefs.Â
Where:Â FMG Stadium Waikato, Hamilton.Â
When:Â 7.05pm, Saturday.Â
Coverage:Â Live on Sky Sport, live updates on Stuff from 6.45pm.
The situation of seasoned Crusaders lock Sam Whitelock is undoubtedly the biggest subplot leading up to the Super Rugby Pacific championship match.
Will the outgoing lock line up for one last fight against Brodie Retallick and the Chiefs on Saturday night after missing the past two weeks due to an Achilles injury?
Donât anticipate the 34-year-old to lace on the boots for his franchise once more before he flies to France if All Blacks coach Ian Fosterâs remarks from Sunday night, when he virtually ruled him out of the final, are any indication.
According to the medical information we have regarding Sam Whitelockâs Achilles, Foster remarked, âWell, we will wait and see on Sam Whitelock, we certainly wouldnât expect him to play.â
Whitelock trained last week, is rumored to be beyond anxious to play one final game, and the Crusaders wonât rule out the guy with the second-most caps in team history.

Week 29- Professional Online Social Networks
How have you used social media tools in your professional development?
When stopping to consider how I use social media in my practice I realise how modern life offers so many diverse opportunities to communicate, share knowledge and connect with people all over the world. The enormous access to teaching resources through social networking sites such as Pinterest, Facebook and Youtube is a well established norm with communities of teachers I belong in often speaking about resources and tips collected from such sites. Â
Although I have not explicitly used social media tools with students I use them regularly to develop my own practice and guide my idea gathering process. Until now I havenât thought of this as professional development but I realise that I consume large amounts of information, and learn a lot, from blogs and groups on Facebook. Last year I was involved in Play.Sport PD unit with a PE Mentor who created a facebook group for the teachers she worked with to collaborate and share pictures and videos of our developing practice.
Various teaching and home schooling blogs, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr are some of the platforms I use to source materials, resources and ideas for learning activities and inspiration. On Facebook there are many pages I follow that regularly share informative links and provide a space for educators to connect and discuss pedagogy and participate in PLNs. It is easy and convenient to save videos and articles for future reference, post questions and read discussion threads using this platform.
In what ways could social media be used to support teachers engagement in professional development?
âThe possibilities for professional growth and collaboration through social media are endlessâ, (Gover, 2017).
My main thoughts around this question surround connectedness and the power of a sense of community and belonging. âSocial network sites afford members freedom and autonomy to construct and develop their own understanding in collaboration with othersâ, (Anderson, 2005; Wenger, 1998). Melhuish, 2013, p. 40) Collaboration is crucially important in 21st century teaching and learning and social media tools provide a multitude of ways to collaborate with a diverse body of professionals and become comfortable in multiple PLGs.
I see great potential in using social media tools to connect with other teachers globally as these platforms allow educators access to innumerable channels for knowledge sharing and building collaborative networks. âA social network site can afford members the opportunity to create, share and curate the knowledge in a shared space, and membersâ thinking is mediated and developed by the thinking of othersâ, (Melhuish, 2013, p. 41). Social media is flexible and easy to access providing teachers with the ability to consume information and connect digitally anytime, anywhere meaning educators can access such networks consistently and conveniently.
In what ways does this reflective process inform and change your perspective?
Upon reflecting in this manner, and looking more deeply into social networking as a professional development tool, I have come across Twitter multiple times which has caused me to stop and consider more thoroughly investigating the platform and what, as an educator, I can learn from connecting to others on the site. It seems that many advocate for Twitter being a useful and abundant resource for teachers so I will be investigating how Twitter can inform my practice in the future.

Have a go day
Keep this day free, Saturday 2 December, and bring the family, or people you support, for a bit of fun. Have a Go Day will be held in Hamiltonâs Civic Square from 11am.
Alinker walking bikes, alternative sports, and the cityâs accessible buses will all feature during Have a Go Day is an annual collaboration between Hamilton City Council, Life Unlimited Charitable Trust, Waikato Regional Council and CCS Disability Action, and is held on the same weekend as the UN International Day for People with Disabilities, which is on Sunday 3 December. Hamilton City Councilâs Disability Advisor, Judy Small, says New Zealanders need to be aware of the countryâs aging population and the likelihood more New Zealanders will begin to encounter disability and impairment in their lives. âItâs important New Zealanders donât automatically equate disability or impairment with a life without fun, keeping fit and recreation,â Ms Small says. âSo with Have a Go Day this year, weâve put an emphasis on recreation and exercise. We want people to stop, chat and try out what weâll be displaying.â
The Alinker bikes â a non-motorised walking bike with no pedals that is an exercise option for people with physical impairments â are being presented by Life Unlimited Charitable Trust. The bikes are designed so users are seated upright and at eye level to others. âWeâre looking forward to supporting Have a Go Day again in 2017,â says Life Unlimited Chief Executive Mark Brown. âWe recognise that sport offers many opportunities for disabled people to live well, make new friends and be involved in the community.â Have a Go Day 2017 will also feature the hybrid sports wheelchair football and wheelchair basketball.
Waikato Regional Council will have one of its accessible buses on display. All Hamilton buses are fully accessible and lower to curb height for easy entry and exit for wheelchair users, people with prams, walkers and other mobility aids. âEveryone will be able to check out how accessible and easy to use Hamiltonâs buses are,â said Waikato Regional Councilâs Public Transport Operations manager Andrew Wilson. âFor some people, buses provide independence and a primary means of transport thatâs absolutely vital to their quality of life. Weâre really proud of our bus network in the Waikato, especially as all of our buses are completely accessible for wheelchairs, walkers and people with mobility aids,â says Mr Wilson.
BUSIT staff will be available on the day to help with any bus-related questions and journey planning advice â from what bus route works best for users, to one-on-one help with the Transit Real-Time app, through to showing wheelchair users how easy it can be to use the bus. The event is subject to fine weather and will be cancelled if there is rain.
