Yes of course I freaking love Hamilton!!! Me, my mom, and my sister all know every single word. We’ve watched it like 100 times on Disney+, we listen to the soundtrack all the time, and we went to see it when it came to the Fox Theater in Atlanta.

Oh my gosh, my favorite song? That’s an impossible question Jay. Watch me just list every single song lol.

I love the Schuylar Sisters because omg yes slay they’re perfect and I love them so much. Literally any song with any of them is a good one. Phillipa Soo (Eliza), Renée Elise Goldsberry (Angelica), and Jasmine Cephas Jones (Peggy) are so incredibly talented and I love all three of them. Also Say No To This because Jasmine is a queen and we love her.

Aaron Burr Sir, Farmer Refuted, Cabinet Battles 1 and 2, One Last Time, and Your Obedient Servant are just fun to sing because of the back and forth, especially when I can get my sister to jam with me.

I freaking love all of King George’s songs, he is a king and he slays (literally and figuratively).

Leslie Odom Jr. is freaking amazing, like, Wait For It and the Room Where It Happens are so freaking good and his voice is just so beautiful and I love him.

The war songs: Right Hand Man, Guns and Ships, History Has It’s Eyes on You, and Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down) are so freaking good too.

Also, I love Christopher Jackson, he’s an amazing George Washington.

Daveed Diggs did a freaking awesome job as Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, he just has so much character and sass and I love him. Any song he’s in is a great one because he just gives 150% 24/7/365.

Hamilfans Help!

It’s weird that my first post on here is Hamilton related but I have an inquiry 🤺 So I’m gonna dive deep into some old animatic I can’t find and this surprisingly good fan fiction.

- Does anyone at all remember Mushie R’s Jamilton animatic to the song “Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better”????? I have spent countless hours trying to find this animatic and it has just vanished off the face of this earth. I genuinely am starting to think that I made it all up. So please, anyone, if you know what I’m talking about, let a fellow know 🙏

- And secondly, there was this fanfiction on Wattpad called “Knackered” and it was a GeorgeSquared fic. Very odd pairing, I know, but the author shockingly made it work (at least I think so, this was 6/7 years ago). This is what I care about more because this fic sadly changed so much for me and it makes me sad that yet another fic was lost to the Wattpad apocalypse. So here’s some deets about it:

- Love story between George Washington and King George III

- It gave words that represented the chapters as a whole at the beginning and gave definitions for those words

- Martha Washington played the role of Maria Reynolds???

- King George spoke Latin sometimes and called Washington “Mea”

- The author included the song “Words Ain’t Enough” at the top of a chapter and some fanart was made as well (but I can’t find a trace of that either)

- There was definitely around 30/40 or so chapters

- It ended as some bullshit Christmas story the author was reading to some kids

- There was a sequel to this story that I never read

Yaaay for lotteries!!! Amirite?! My super hamilfan friend won and we got 4 tickets at a discounted price!!! So when the universe tells you to go, YOU TAKE YOUR SHOT & FREAKIN’ GOOOOO!! I was able to watch the original Hamilton musical on film twice, but this is my first live show!! On Broadway!!! I’M OUTRAGEOUSLY GLAD THAT WE DID!!!

I'm a bit of a leftover Hamilfan! It was the musical that got me into musical theater at all, and I have to be grateful to it for that (seeing as MT is the track my life is taking..) but I don't listen much anymore and I was never one for its fandom. I do have about three watches of the show under my belt from different locations though, which is cool :)

I haven’t heard anyone else say this, but I’m on the autistic spectrum and tired of this being ignored in the fandom so here I go. We as the Hamilton fandom need to talk about the fact that Leslie Odom Jr. was in Music, Sia’s horribly ableist movie.

Just in case you were not all aware, Sia not only didn’t cast an autistic actor to play the role of an autistic person, but in the movie the autistic character gets physically restrained, which is not only offensive but literally dangerous as it has led to the deaths of so many autistic children, or at least traumatized them. But instead of listening to us (the autistic community) and getting her information from us Sia instead even had the gall to falsely claim that she got her research from Autism Speaks, which is a HATE GROUP that wants to “cure us” aka eradicate us.

So y’all are probably wondering, “but Adrián what does this have to do with Odom and the Hamilton fandom?” Well, Leslie Odom Jr. plays a leading role as Ebo Odom. The fact that he, a neurotypical man, thinks it’s okay to star in such a blatantly ableist movie is just disappointing and infuriating on so many levels, especially for me as an autistic Hamilfan. Seeing as the autistic community was vocally against it I would think he would at least have some idea of how wrong it was, yet he chose to star in it regardless. So maybe, maybeeee, if you truly care about us autistic people (especially autistic Hamilfans) how about we stop stanning this man once and for all?

The Hamilfans (trademark) have come so damn close to ruining lams for me, and if it wasn’t for the fact that it was these two who got me obsessed with history I probably would’ve abandoned the ship by now. Just...the feminisation of Laurens...Hamilton being “quirky uwu”...the whole fetishisation and just uGH

Them Tieflings loves their half-orc hyperfixation. Come to think of it, they’re the ones rescuing him in the troll fight too!

What exactly has gone wrong with Hamilton and Lin-Manuel that has been upsetting people? (I heard smth about racism?) And do we boycott? i really am not sure how else to explain to you that making a play humanizing / making sympathetic characters of the men who committed literal genocide and owned slaves into a "fun musical" is fucked up beyond belief especially given it was made by a nonblack nonnative dude. like do some reasearch on the founding fathers (who, again, are responsible for the genocide and enslavement of the native tribes of america and africa) and then look at freaks online tagging them as "comfort character" and tell me where in the world that is acceptable
