(2) The Secretary of State must assess and rank existing franchise agreements according to performance criteria established after consultation with relevant stakeholders. (3) Subject to subsection (1), the Secretary of State must only terminate a franchise agreement pursuant to a break clause if – (a) there are no other franchise agreements which are performing worse under the criteria in the list referenced in subsection (2), and (b) the Secretary of State is satisfied that provision of the services by a public sector company will improve existing service provision. (4) In this section, “break clause” means a contractual provision in a franchise agreement which entitles the Secretary of State to terminate the franchise agreement before the end of the franchise term by notice without reason.” The House divided:

Attorney Vernon Eulion Jordan Jr. (August 15, 1935 – March 1, 2021) was a business executive and civil rights activist who worked for various civil rights movement organizations before becoming a close advisor to President Bill Clinton.
He has become known as an influential figure in American politics.
He was born in Atlanta to Mary Belle (Griggs) and Vernon E. Jordan Sr. He had a brother, Windsor. He was a cousin of James Shaw, a musician who is professionally billed as The Mighty Hannibal.
He grew up with his family in the segregated societal cosmos of Atlanta. He was an honors graduate of David T. Howard High School. Rejected for a summer internship with an insurance company after his sophomore year in college because of his race, he earned money for college for a few summers by working as a chauffeur to former city mayor Robert Maddox, then a banker. He graduated from DePauw University. He earned a JD at Howard University School of Law. He was a member of the Omega Psi Phi and Sigma Pi Phi Fraternities.
He returned to Atlanta to join the law office of Donald L. Hollowell, a civil rights activist. The firm, including Constance Motley, sued the University of Georgia for racial discrimination in its admission policies. The suit ended with a Federal Court order demanding the admission of two African Americans, Charlayne Hunter, and Hamilton E. Holmes.
He became directly involved in activism in the field, serving as the Georgia field director for the NAACP. From the NAACP, he moved to the Southern Regional Council and then to the Voter Education Project.
He became the executive director of the UNCF. He was president of the NUL.
He married Shirley (née Yarbrough), who died in 1985. They have a daughter, Vickee Jordan Adams, who works in media relations for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. In 1986 he remarried, Ann Dibble Jordan. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence #sigmapiphi #omegapsiphi

Verona and Burt have moved to Colorado to be close to Burt’s parents but, with Veronica expecting their first child, Burt’s parents decide to move to Belgium, now leaving them in a place they hate and without a support structure in place. They set off on a whirlwind tour of of disparate locations where they have friends or relatives, sampling not only different cities and climates but also different families. Along the way they realize that the journey is less about discovering where they want to live and more about figuring out what type of parents they want to be. Credits: TheMovieDb. Indie Folk Act Dark Mean Return With Inspired Single “Working Hard”
The musical project of Dark Mean refuses to slip away for good. The collective has been quietly chipping away in their Hamilton, Ontario studio. Once again they have focused their spontaneous fits of inspiration, typically captured on basic phone apps and wired between Ottawa and Hamilton, into something concrete.
Years of extended hiatuses are nothing new to the trio of Billy Holmes, Sandy Johnston and Mark Dean. That’s how they operate. Incessant file sharing and e-mails, late night Zoom calls, relentless attention to detail, unabashed honesty, and the odd show amidst chaotic life schedules, are just a few ways the band has not only hung together, but continues to release new music.
Dealing with the hurdles of such a spread out band and the march of time, they had this to speak about on their return to music as Dark Mean: In terms of what inspired the song, or the lyrics… umm probably desperation. Feeling so desperate for something to happen while full-well knowing time is not on your side and there is nothing you can do but wait. So the opening of the track begins with this sort of cathartic release “Working hard, killing time. I woke up wrong, just to feel right”. Doing nothing is often harder than doing something, right?

hello, before we dive in, i’d like to express my gratitude for taking the time to read this – it truly means a lot to me. thank you. ♥︎
you can call me bianca and my preferred pronouns are she/her. i’m in the legal age, 21+
my passion lies heavily in F1! i’m a devoted supporter of ferrari and mclaren on the grid. charles leclerc holds the top spot for me as a driver (i’ll back him until he clinches his 1st WDC). additionally, i’m a fan of carlos sainz, lando norris, oscar piastri, and lewis hamilton. in F2, i’m cheering for olliver bearman and kimi antonelli.
as for music, my tastes span various genres, including: taylor swift, sabrina carpenter, sza, olivia rodrigo, fiona apple, laufey, clairo, gracie abrams, niki, ariana grande, mariah carey, celine dion, abba, bee gees, air supply, elvis costello, frank sinatra, westlife, one ok rock, and arctic monkeys. i'm also into kpop, with a focus on nct dream, aespa, and kpop gen 2. i’m a casual listener of classical music too.
movies-wise, i’m drawn to romcoms, mcu, and disney. some favorites include: the devil wears prada, breakfast at tiffany's, how to lose a guy in 10 days, 10 things i hate about you, clueless, gossip girl, mean girls, gilmore girls, and historical-georgian era films like: pride and prejudice, little women, the bridgerton emma, enola holmes, anne with an e and persuasion. studio ghibli and jujutsu kaisen are also high on my list. currently, my top-tier k-drama is moving.
my fascination with fashion, makeup, ribbons, lifestyle, and beauty products is borderline obsessive. bear with me as i frequently engage with and like tweets related to these interests.
i’m an avid reader of works by jane austen, sylvia plath, virginia woolf, franz kafka, and fyodor dostoyevsky. also have a particular fondness for historical art, artists like: vincent van gogh, claude monet, johannes vermeer, and john everett millais captivate me.
i also have a keen interest in art, such as roman and greek architecture, greek mythology, and the breathtaking beauty of the universe (it’s fascinating to know, though i don’t delve too deeply into it).
if you come across something we both enjoy, i’d be absolutely thrilled if you reached out! don’t hesitate – and let's become friends! ♥️
friendly note: please feel free to reach out privately if i unintentionally made a mistake or if my words have caused any discomfort, either to you or anyone else. i value learning from others, and your feedback is appreciated!
