inserting my hamburr angst propaganda into the world.
the fact that burr was door to door campaigning and when hamilton asked him about it, burr sounded so proud to say that he learned it from him. then hamilton went on to endorse Jefferson, and the absolute disappointment and betrayal in burrs eyes/expression was just... bro.

OKAY SO HERE ARE RANDOM HAMILTON THE MUSICAL FACTS NO ONE ASKED FOR
• After Maria mentions she is "helpless" in Say No To This, Eliza doesn't mention it for the rest of the play
• In That Would Be Enough, Eliza says: "I wrote to the general a month ago". In Stay Alive we can see her writing the letter
• In Take A Break, when Angelica and Eliza reunite and say each other's names there is a slight pause for "and Peggy"
• In Stay Alive (reprise), Phillip says to Eliza "Mom, I'm sorry for forgetting what you taught me" because Eliza taught him how to count to 10 in Take A Break and he thought that mr. Eaker counted to 10 even though he didn't
• Phillip had trouble with number 7 in Take A Break, got shot at number 7 and died at Sept-7 (guess it wasn't exactly his lucky number)
• Burr always repeats that he's willing to wait for it and Alexander always repeats that he's not throwing away his shot, but in The World Was Wide Enough, Burr doesn't wait for it and shoots Alexander and Alexander throws away his shot by aiming his pistol at the sky
• In Hurricane, Alexander says: "I couldn't seem to die" and the backing vocals/ensemble say: "Wait for it, wait for it, wait for it, wait for it.." because Burr is going to shoot him in 9 songs
• If we count all of the songs in Hamilton + Lauren's interlude, there is exactly 47 songs. 47 is also the age Alexander Hamilton died at
• In Best Of Wives And Best Of Women both Alexander and Eliza say exactly 37 words, which is also how many songs they were married for in the musical
• In Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story when Eliza says: "I speak out against slavery," Washington makes a surprised face behind her because he owned around 120 slaves
• In What'd I miss when Jefferson gets the letter from Washington he says: "Sally, be a lamb, darlin' won't you open it," reffering to a slave of his

In the intro song, Burr sings, "and me? I'm the damn fool that shot him," the use of the word fool implying that Burr knows this was a stupid decision and regrets it.
Throughout the entire musical, Burr remains relatively calm, confident, and collected. In Your Obedient Servant, he's still outwardly calm, still very confident, but is significantly more unhinged.
In The World Was Wide Enough, Burr takes small things, like Hamilton fiddling with the trigger of the gun or wearing his glasses, as a threat. If he had remained how he was originally, these things wouldn't have been anything more than a passing thought to him.
"I had only one thought before the slaughter. This man will not make an orphan of my daughter." - Being blindsided by rage causes him to not realize the fact that Hamilton also has children at home, and that his daughter is more than old enough to take care of herself, being well into her twentys at the time of the duel.
When realizing that Hamilton is aiming his pistol at the sky, you can hear the panic in Burr's. This is the point where he truly realized just what he's doing, that he didn't actually want to kill Hamilton.
"I walk towards him, but I am ushered away." - Using context clues, I feel it's safe to assume that this is Burr regretting his decision and wanting to help Hamilton.
"When Alexander aimed at the sky, he may have been the first to die, but I'm the one who payed for it." - Burr is going to live with the regret and pain from killing Hamilton for the rest of his life.
In Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story, Burr sings, "And when you're gone, who remembers your name?" which not just leads into Eliza's part, but can also be interrupted as Burr saying HE is the one remembering Hamilton's name. It haunts him.
Burr lived. Burr is the one who survived the duel, but a part of him died that day. The confidence and the collectedness.

I’m sorry but why does every Hamilton and Burr duel painting look so funny?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1: ah yes burr, one hand behind you back like a gentleman and Hamilton showing of his ✨legs✨ and the random carriage in the back
2: the way Hamilton’s body is tilted and is going to forever be that way look extremely funny.
3: “ah! I died! I dropped my gun! I died! Do I still look sexy? Great!” Also burr’s stance I can’t
4: pro tip on how to Hamilton: always be dramatic and sexy even at your last moments
