Preparing for my upcoming Halloween herb magic class and wanted to recommend this book ahead of time because it is so good! Full of vibrant botanical drawings and it even covers the baneful herbs which are an important part of Samhain lore. Forward by Andrew Theitic editor of The Witches’ Almanac. It has a similar almanac feel because it’s loaded with random bits of interesting and obscure information. It would be a great book to work with throughout the entire season because it has so many different recipes and rituals. 🎃 - - - #samhain #halloweenherbs #halloweenherbmagic #samhainrituals #ancestorwork #spiritcommunication #halloweenherbmagic https://www.instagram.com/p/Cidmsc8LYPo/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I’m putting together Fall Collections starting today. The pre order is still open. The photo here is an example of the three randomly chosen formulas, plus my special graveyard dirt. These are still going to get the 3 new HALLOWEEN formulas which are still a secret! But I can tell you it’s going to be two more brand new ritual oil formulas and a new incense blend. Pre orders will start shipping later in September when the formulas are complete! Virtual tickets and patron access to my Halloween Herb Magic Class are available via link in bio 🎃☠️🖤🧪 - Plants, flowers and herbs usually make us think of growth, fertility and abundance. However, there are many plants that are associated with death, the celebration of life and connecting with those who have passed on. In this workshop, author and herbalist Coby Michael will share the stories of the plants associated with this liminal time of year. We will explore the tales of plants associated with Samhain, the ancient Celtic feast of the Dead and we will discuss the role of flowers in the Mexican Día de Los Muertos celebrations. We will also take a “walk” through the cemetery, and learn the importance of plants that grow among the dead, and the special qualities that this gives them. Working with the dead and honoring one’s ancestors is a core part of many of the world’s spiritual practices, and the one of the oldest forms of human spirituality. In this class we will go over some of the most important herbs for doing that, and we will create our own herbal formula that can be use as an offertory incense or potpourri for honoring and connecting to the spirits during this magical time. Virtual attendees will also receive the formula that we make in person. - #halloweenherbmagick #halloweenherbs #samhainherbs #herbsofsamhain #herbsofthedead #graveyardmagic #thepoisonpath #cobymichael #poisonersapothecary https://www.instagram.com/p/CiX3NEyrWJ3/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
