oh my god your michael story?????????? literally obsessed. the storyline being different but still fitting. the characterization. would u ever think abt a part 2 or is it going to stay 1 chap?
Ahh anon thank you!! I really appreciate that, I was kind of second guessing that fic when I posted it. But I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Definitely I'm going to a part two or even 3! I have a few ideas for sequel and prequel fics. One centered around Halloween 2017, horror movie marathon at the beef/berzatto house (haven't picked yet) before Birdie and Michael admit their feelings.
Another centered around new years/leading up to new years, post Christmas 2017, lots of angst/arguments, making up, happy moments, probably cooking/visiting Michael at the Beef. I'm still deciding on how much this fic is going to foreshadow Michael's eventual demise, but I think overall it will be a little lighter.
Then I have one more idea surrounding potentially sneaking into Michael's room and smut but I have to see if it will come up organically or if it should be a separate drabble.
Let me know if this sounds good :)

5 Things to do on a Rainy Day ( + HUGE DIY LIST)
originally posted to www.onlyfunthings.org on June 18, 2017
Ciao lovelies! Since the east coast has been hit with some storms recently, I decided to make a list of 5 things you can do on a rainy day!
Rainy days are boring because many of the fun activities for every season are outside! But there are actually quite a few fun things we can do inside too!
#1- Watch a Movie/Movie Marathon
Movies are fun and transport us to another world! Try watching some movies, pop some popcorn and have a full on movie day in the house! For extra fun, invite some friends for a movie marathon where everyone picks a movie and you all watch them! I like watching all the Monster High movies in a marathon!
#2- Cook/Bake Some New Recipes
Rainy days are a great opportunity to test out some new recipes! Baking is very fun to do on rainy days because you can make stuff and eat it! My fave is to bake some cakes and decorate them.
OFT actually has some recipes of our own, including Lemon Cookies and Strawberry Shortcake. We also have meal recipes like Cheeseburger Bites and Italian Chicken! Make sure that if you’re under 18, you get permission to use the stove, etc!
#3- Read a Book
Similar to watching a movie, a book can take us to new places! Books are great for killing time during rainy days. I personally love the Sherlock Holmes novels, because I love a good mystery! What’s your favorite book?
#4- DIY Crafts/Sewing
Something that’s fun, productive, and indoors is to do DIY crafts or to sew!
OFT has many DIY tutorials and posts, including
-Cat Purse
-Bubble Tea Plushie
-Cat Pouch
-Kawaii School Supplies
-Kawaii Accessories
-Cup/Vase
-Felt Flour Bag
-Upcycled Halloween Décor
-Funky Letters
-Kawaii Blouse
-PJ Top
-Fake Special Effects Makeup
-Duct Tape Bangle
-Beaded Heart Necklace
-Alien Jewelry
-Mini Hat
-Cat Ears
-Purse
-Spring Garland
-Shoe Makeover
-Kawaii Tank Top
-Fingerless Gloves
-Graphics Design Buttons
-Princess Household Items
-Princess Accessories
-Shirt Makeover
And more!
Plus we have a post to tell you everything you need To Get Started DIY-ing!
#5- Test Out Makeup/Hair Tutorials
Another fun way to kill time on a rainy day is to try and recreate all those tutorials for makeup and hair all over the internet!
What do you do on a rainy day?
Stay awesome, and remember to love yourself!

I only recently learned that the free streaming service "Pluto TV" has a 24/7 Universal Monsters channel but every time I turn it on it's just a marathon of The Munsters. And it's been that way for weeks.
Do they ever show anything else? Otherwise why not just call it the Munsters Channel?
Their Horror, Thrillers, Terror, and Fantasy channels all have a rotating roster of movies. So why is Universal Monsters stuck on The Munsters reruns?
It's not that I don't like The Munsters. It's just I know Universal has a large monster catalogue of shows and movies. Not just the thirty or so black and white movies with sequels, but also Frank Langella's Dracula, Van Helsing, Dracula: Untold, Wolfman (2010), The Mummy (2017). There should be a considerable selection.
So why are they only showing one sixties sitcom?
Before anyone tries to correct me. This is not a "The Munsters" channel like their Addams Family. It has a big picture of four or five of the movie monsters when the channel loads and it's Universal Monsters, with an o.
Update And so we have a legitimate explanation for why The Universal Monsters Pluto TV channel has been showing The Munsters so much. It's because the classic monsters were distributed to other streaming services (and cable / satalite channels) for the Halloween season.

I've decided that this Halloween I'm going to do a Jordan Peele marathon: Us (2019), Nope (2022), and Get Out (2017) in that order. I'm not stupid enough to watch Us after dark . . . again.

DISCLAIMER: some of the movies on this list are of a franchise...rather long franchises. so because of that, i will be watching the first movie out of the franchise unless stated other wise. i will not be watching twelve movies of a franchise, my limit is six so, please do not ask.
also, most of these movies are more spooky than scary because i'm more of a slasher, creature and psychological thrillers type gal. ghosts and spirits aren't really for me but, i did put the babadook (2014) here just in case i have the urge to really get scared but, if i pussy out, i don't wanna hear nathan!!!!!!
feel free to watch along with me and leave any comments under this post. i love hearing other peoples opinion's & theory's and sharing/explaining things about a film that i might have missed the first time around. i'm all ears :)

Halloween Horrors...
So, here's the thing. Every year, me and my sister have started to do a horror movie marathon for Halloween.
We literally start at the beginning of October and go to whenever the Christmas movie watching season starts, usually towards the end of December. We might even pick it up again in January because we love a good scare on these cold autumnal/winter nights. (We've also got an animation marathon on pause while the horror season is going on... we're going backwards through the Disney/Pixar catalogue. We left that on 'Encanto'.)
I place horror movies into three categories: fun movies, scary movies and classic horror. Fun includes such things as 'Beetlejuice', 'Ghostbusters' and 'The Book of Life'. Scary would include 'It', 'Longlegs', 'The Babadook'... anything with darker themes. Classics are older movies, your 'Nightmare on Elm Street', 'Psycho', 'Poltergeist'.
I've been asked about the horror movies I've been watching so I just thought I'd come on here and make a list of the ones we had already watched! So, without further ado and in alphabetical order:

Hannibal (2013-2015)
I'd also add 'The Walking Dead' (2010 - 2022) here, and it's spin-offs, though it is a long watch and definitely has it's ups and down...
If I add that, I should probably add 'The Last of Us' (2023 - present) too.

Poltergeist (1982)

Dead Boy Detectives (2024)
Lockwood and Co. (2023)
Locke and Key (2020-2022)
---
Honourable mentions, though not ones I've watched for this marathon:
You could add 'Julie and the Phantoms' (2020) here because Ghosts!
'Supernatural' (2005-2009) should also have an honourable mention... I'm aware it carried on past it's fifth season but I didn't.
Oh! And 'Buffy' (1997-2003) and 'Angel' (1999-2004), of course!
{I need to stop myself here before I make this into a whole different list that is just WB/CW shows from the 90's/early 00's, just because that is a whole other rabbit hole I could readily jump into... and it will have nothing to do with horror.}
If you are with littler ones, you can't go wrong with 'Goosebumps' (1995-1998, Revival 2023), or 'Are You Afraid of the Dark' (1992-1996, Revivals 1999, 2019-2022) or 'Eerie Indiana' (1991-1993)... 'Black Hole High' (2002-2006) was also a good one.
---
I'm not sure whether every movie is, strictly speaking, in the correct section but you get the idea!
I might keep updating this as we continue our marathon so keep your eyes peeled and watch along if you like! Hopefully there is something in here you won't have watched before!
Also, I'm planning another post that will go a little deeper into each title but we'll see if I get there...
Happy Hauntings!
C.

hiii thanks for rbing my horror recs post! here's your recs! :)
based on evil dead rise i'd recommend veronica (2017), when evil lurks (2023), talk to me (2022), cobweb (2023) and the dark and the wicked (2020) about a family in the grip of evil.
based on smile i'd recommend oculus (2013), it follows (2014), terrified (2017), longlegs (2024), the babadook (2014) and malignant (2021) about being haunted by something sinister from the past.
based on bride of chucky i'd recommend lisa frankenstein (2024), elvira, mistress of evil (1988), death becomes her (1992), hello mary lou: prom night 2 (1987) (not necessary to watch the first one), the craft (1996), jennifer's body (2009), all cheerleaders die (2013) and ready or not (2019) because they're all super fun (and some campy) female centered horrors!
based on alien i'd recommend the thing (1982), sunshine (2007), the descent (2005), annihilation (2018), nope (2022), 10 cloverfield lane (2016) and event horizon (1997) because they're some of my fav isolated setting creature horrors.
based on 30 days of night i'd recommend the wolf of snow hollow (2020), midnight mass (2021), the mist (2007), feast (2005) and night of the comet (1984) for some cool small town creature horror and near dark (1987), abigail (2024), fright night (1985) and let the right one in (2008) for some of my fav vampire movies.
hope there's some you haven't seen yet! :)
Oh my god I meant to answer this forever ago and then I forgot about it
There are only a few recs you have that I’ve seen: The Craft (which is a fave of mine), Elvira, and I think I’ve seen the original It Follows but I can’t remember. Some I may have seen but it’s been so long they probably deserve a rewatch
I’ll have to go through the rest and add them to my watchlist for this year’s Halloween movie marathon at our house. Thanks for the recs!
#mailbox#I just watched S3 of the Chucky show and it was a lot of fun#the VFX are ROUGH but add to the charm#because honestly the child’s play franchise hasn’t been known for its CGI#the practical effects are PHENOMINAL though

Halloween Movie Art-athon
Night 6: "I See You" (2019)
3rd panel -
I'd had this film on my queue for the movie marathon, and then I remembered it being mentioned on one of the true crime podcasts I listen to. On the podcast, it was only described as a home invasion film, so I was worried I would find it rather boring. But, I decided to give it a try anyway, and I'm glad I did. It's not just a home invasion film, it's actually a lot more. The plot also features child abduction, the effects of infidelity on a marriage, and a murder coverup. Also, one of the protagonists is played by Judah Lewis, who is also in "The Babysitter" (2017). If he wants to center his acting career around starring in horror films, I wholeheartedly support it. He's kinda cute too lol.
4th panel -
And, yeah, the home invasion part wasn't nearly as boring as I thought it would be. Honestly, this movie just hits you from all angles. One gut punch after another. Wonderfully written, full of trauma, and lots of plot twists. You start out thinking you know who the "bad guy" is, only to realize almost everyone is terrible in their own way. It's just that some are drastically worse than others. If you like psychological thrillers, give this film a try. You won't regret it.
