She survived the night but she is still very weak.. I'm worried about Halla.. she's not eating properly again and sits around a lot with puffed up feathers.. was at the vet with her this evening, she seems fine from what the vet could see, no apparent symptoms except her empty crop and stomach.. she gave her something to stimulate her appetite and I will collect some poo from her and from the coop to have it checked.. maybe it's something latent in my group that affects only her, and weakens her especially when it's cold outside like it's been again since the weekend.. she ate some bird food after we were home so she has at least a little something in her crop over the night.. Well, someone’s gotten their appetite back.. 😊 Halla looks much better today, the colour came back to her face and she has eaten well over the day it seems and even doesn’t mind a little snack before she can go to sleep.. Okay.. Halla goes exploring.. the vet says she seems to have a minor cold, she gave her an immune system booster and something to strengthen her appetite.. also well give her antibiotics for four days and see how it works.. but Halla isn't as bad as I thought, she was very interested and awake at the vet and as you can see after we arrived back home.. Had to cut Queen Hallas quill crest down today.. she never actually finishes it in her molt and the pinfeathers get so heavy that it always hangs over her left eye which makes her really uncomfortable.. normally the feathers will then finish growing and she has a nice short crest.. to make it all a bit nicer for her I gave her some babyfood which she really enjoyed.. 😊 I hope she looks normal again soon.. 😉 #chickensofinstagram #backyardchickens #petchickens #chickensaspets #molting #hallathepavlovskayahen #wersechickens (hier: Münster)
