How many works do you have on AO3?

As of this minute 134. This will likely change later. I've been writing since 2018 so I don't think that's too bad a number.

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

AO3 says 242,623. Which I am pretty happy with. That is over double what I had before this year. Which is insane to me.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Mainly DPxDC, Leverage, and The Librarians. But I have fics on AO3 for Star Wars, Quantum Leap, Star Trek, Die Hard, Elementary, Stargate, Warehouse 13, and MCU as well. Not posted yet I also have Haven, Mercy Thompson, and Eureka.

Yes pretty much every single one of them.

You ask me, a MCD author, this? How could I possibly? But I'm gonna go with Sunshine because man was killing a deaged Jazz brutal. Especially with how.

This is somehow harder than the last one. But I am going to go with And the Ghost in the Thermos. Just because I love that everyone got home at the end.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I haven't before. Just some odd comments.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

No, but I seem to be creeping ever closer to that direction. We'll see if I make it there or not.

So so so many. More than half my works are I think. Craziest might be Leverage x Librarians x Star Trek x Star Wars or Star Trek x Star Wars x Stargate

No, but I have had a number of podfics made by people.

Yes! With my amazing co-author I mentioned before, Milma! One of the single best writing experiences I've ever had.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to say multishipper me does not have a favorite. But I might get yelled at if I don't say Dick/Danny.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Does it have a ? on AO3? Then that. Only one I expect to ever finish is Falling Two with Milma.

Uh, short things and making people mad at me for MCD. And I guess off the walls crack fics. Oh and the fucking rarepairs. So many rarepairs.

Finishing multichapter fics.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I won't do it because I don't trust myself to get it right.

DCxDP Prompt 15 :

Danny/Wes idea, Demon Sibs Combined into it.

Short prompt and vague stuff. If I had to motivation I'll do some continuation to it but picture this.

DanyalDanny knows he's adopted, always had known especially since he was adopted as the Fenton's were out and about looking for ghosts back when he was merely 6, they found him all battered and bloodied up and immediately took him in as their own, Jazz was very pleased with a new little brother and she became her reason to stay and purpose to protect.

The Fentons aren't the best but they loved Danny, Danny could say the same as he was shocked to see their reactions when he first called them 'Mom' and 'Dad'. They burst into tears and pulled Danny into a love filled bear hug, Danny could say it was the most love he has ever felt.

But Danny, he would never talk about his past, no, no, he claimed amnesia. He felt subtle guilt when he lied about it but now it felt insignificant to worry about, after becoming a Halfa due to the portal accident, he found himself in the middle of simping A-listers and a conspiracy theorist who immediately clocked him upon sight(how did he do that??).

Wes Weston always had the affinity of finding out someone's identity behind a mask, he always voiced out these thoughts knowing no one would believe him but at times it can still get pretty annoying. Danny Fenton caught his eye, he never paid attention to the boy but he kept a secret tab on him, the way he walked felt stuff and subtly regal, the way he talked had a hidden southeast accent(?) that Wes couldn't pinpoint where came from.

Considering the Fact that Danny was adopted... Completely out of nowhere, the Fenton's picked up a boy from somewhere in the world and adopted him without question but Wes doesn't think that's suspicious since the Fentons ARE the Fentons after all.

What kept his tabs, and everything else come to life is when Phantom appeared, Kyle Weston, his brother refused to help and exempted himself from Wes's spiraling Theories piling up.

Wes immediately clocked Phantom as Danny, It's too obvious for Christ's sake, Fenton? PHANTOM? It was so original and unoriginal at the same time, Wes still forced his brother to listen and at some point Wes noticed Dash stopped bullying Danny after having Dash listen through Wes's Theoretical Rant.

Dash and Kyle want nothing to do with Danny, they don't have him, they just suspect Wes is secretly gay and his love language is comparing his crush to the awesome town vigilante ghost.

Everything is as normal as everyday until the GIW found out about Danny's identity, The Fenton Parents and Jazz weren't there when they took Danny away for 'Examination'. So Wes did what any normal person would do, pull out the exact blueprint and hidden passageway of The GIW Facility Base and Bust Danny out of there without getting the already wounded and partially open boy even more injured and in pain.

The Fenton parents did everything they could do to hide Danny as soon as they got home after Wes had contacted them somehow, they love their baby boy so much, He's their Danny, their Daniel, their Phantom.

Wes dragged Kyle into the mess, Not that Kyle had any options and thus. With the help of Jazz who was in Gotham for college, The Fenton Parents stayed behind to keep the GIW in Amity, And Wes along with his Begrudgingly Dragged Along Older Brother Kyle, Is heading to Gotham.

Did Danny anticipate that Wes and Kyle both have truth altering possibly also Reality Warping curse that they bend to their will, but then again sometimes they're too stupid and too human to use these curses to their advantage.

They arrived in Gotham and at first everything was Normal, Danny became the Handyman of their free and he'd fix anything for food and any of the sort. Especially candies for children who wanted their toys fixed, Wes was the weird quiet one who was deemed tough on the outside, soft on the inside because of how oddly kind he still was despite his first impressions.

Kyle was the chill one who was denser than rock in most occasions and jazz was the oldest one who was raising them(along with Kyle) as well as pursuing psychology.

Now here comes more of the DC part :

Wes starts to theorize about the bats, same old same old, Danny listens to them intently as Wes makes pretty good points about the identities(Except Bruce Wayne as Batman, cuz that guys a Total Himbo Billionare.)

Danny and Robin meet by pure coincidence. Danny recognizes him immediately, Damian impulsively taking off his mask and charging at Danny, Both knew they were not Clones of each other and Danny comes home with an unmasked Robin and not any of them feels that this is something out of place.

Going as far as serving Damian a plate of food and Danny introducing the Weston Siblings and Jazz. Jazz immediately mentally adopting Damian because he's her baby brother Twin thus he's just another little chick of hers.

For a while Robin takes time to have dinner on their house, Alfred obviously instantly notices but doesn't mention it Infront of others but merely tells Damian to stay safe and eat well.

The Batfam slowly notice the change of demeanor, Damian slowly getting less aggresive and acting softer and perhaps a tad bit too innocent like for their comfort, they finally follow him to the place he frequents and sneaks off to every night and they see him take off his mask and hug someone who's the exact replica of him, just blue eyes.

They see him drop his guard and become comfortable by their small dining table that fits 5 perfectly. If it weren't for his current costume at the time then he would have looked like a normal civilian boy.

AU where when Danny first got in the portal for the picture jazz being the protective older sister she is and knowing her parents "lab safety" she goes in with Danny and when he trips her immediate thought was to save him from falling in the danger trap she considered the portal and they both become halfas que the canon ghost shenanigans but add protect younger siblings obsessed jazz being a absolute nightmare standing behind Danny the hole time just daring someone to go after team phantom and any time they do they immediately regret as they have angered the older sibling and mercy is not an option.

When pariah dark happens they team up to own him no suit required and jazz and Danny become sibling rulers of the realms.

Somehow their parents find out and go mad scientist on them jazz is 18 in this so says fuck you takes Danny and as the nature secretly petty as shit just calls CPS and takes Danny and sues her parents for child support.

They + Sam & Tucker (because they can convince Tucker's parents it will be good for his future tech career and Sam just tells her parents she's going to stay with her dads side of the family(the drakes)) go to Gotham because no GIW unlike Amity and is ecto rich I also imagine that both are on their way to becoming Ancients of space (Danny) and as odd as it seems older siblings(jazz) they are confused at first until it's explained that the belief of the love and protections that older siblings are some of the most protective and also mischievous towards their younger siblings has built up to for an ancient and jazz just happened to become that ancient.

Que jazz helping college students in the Gotham U library study when they miss their older siblings help like when they where growing up and just being a protection spirit but to siblings in particular. This becomes super annoying when the bats and the birds start setting off her instincts after joker escapes and she can only relax after beating the shit out of him with the anti-creep stick in front of red hood who promptly falls in love with her much to the annoyance of Danny who was already secretly dating tim and meeting at the local coffee shop and ordering their coffee

Danny leaves Amity Park and Earth to commit to his rile as Ghost King

Ok I can’t lie to yall it’s one am and I wanted to write danny becomes ghost king and moves to the realms but misses school so asks William Lancer to skype call him during class so he can still be there. But I got very off track. Like I think I wrote a character study of jazz? I had to force myself to stop no joke. I could write this way forever but I think it’s kinda boring to read when I write in this style.

Anyway rambling here it is

Danny becomes the high King of the Infinite Realms and tries his hardest ti balance it all with his human life but it’s too much. He can’t keep up. His parents start putting more and more pressure on him. Plus their hatred if Phantom and ghosts has gone from a 10 to one hundred. Jazz thinks their obsessed, like their in love but with the idea of destroying Phantom. She no longer tries to give Danny a false hope of them accepting him as a halfa. Like he can’t see that. Every time she pulls him out if the kitchen, the living room, the lab. Hell every time Danny walks down the hall and one ih his parents join him, theres Jazz. As if summoned. Shes made it her mission to keep Danny from them and when she can’t she will do her best to make sure hes not alone with then. He thinks it’s a bit extreme and secretly is so glad for it. It’s like shes telling him his feelings are justified and that hes not crazy for being scared of his parents. That he doesn’t have to have the same fear of her. Shes on his side. Shes protecting him. And it’s nice. To be the one protected for once.

So they make a plan for him to leave. The Realms arent going ti give up or go away so he might as well go there. At least if hes nit running from his new responsibilities as Ghost King then they wont have to track him down and dump it in him once it’s piled up too much to be ignored. Hes already told Jazz hes not going ti pass up the crown. Imagine the good he can do as King. Plus hes promised that if he needs any help he will ask. So she helps him go. Their parents hardly notice when Danny disappeared from their house. Their obsession, their devotion, to Phantom has completely blinded them. Jazz is only staying because she is so close to finished here so wont have ti stay long. Less than a year and she can go off to any college she wants. Her grades are proof enough that she knows she wont tied to them and their money. She will be dependent of them and make a name for herself completely unrelated to them. These monsters who have taken her parents place.

She does wish she noticed sooner. Make she could have spared Danny so much pain and trauma had she just seen the signs. It was so clear to her now that this was their path. With every passing day she should have seen what they would become. But children love their parents regardless of goodness and she wanted to, no needed to believe they would do right by Danny. That no her parents wouldnt try to turn their son into a science experiment and strap him to a table and cut him open. She so craved and longed for a normal stable family. Something she no doubt learned doesn’t exist while studying physiology. She can’t blame herself. She knows it’s not her fault. She is still a child and still loved her parents. Even now as she makes plans to leave them and never come back to them. Even now she loves them. ‘Maybe im making a mistake’ ‘am I doing the right thing?’ The doubts pour into her mind. Then she sees them or talks to them and is once again reminded of why shes doing this. She has no doubts about if she can do it. She is smart and resourceful. She can easily make it on her own with a full ride to pretty much any collage. She would earn money as a tutor still and maybe even write articles online for cash, shes already got some offers, but that little voice in her mind still nags at her that they’re her parents and they love her. Maybe they used to but she knows they only care about one thing. Their “work” or their “science” in reality it’s their obsession. Ironic how they are like ghosts with their obsession controlling them. Unable to do anything else, think about anything else, until is fulfilled. If they just achieved their goal they would let up and maybe even return to their family. Minds no longer unable to sleep due to thoughts of their target. But Jazz could never let them. The price of her loving parents is the life of her sweet little brother. What a choice for a 17 year old to make. Have the family she was promised from all the media she had as a kid, showing familys of understanding and endless love. Or lose any hope of loving parents to help her little brother have his own loving family.

The choice was clear. She would sacrifice anything for him after all. If he asked her to give up her human life and join him in ruling the Realms she would have. Hell if he asked her to become a halfa she would have. This sweet boy whos willing to give up everything for everyone else deserves at least that. The hero who is not loved for his acts but despised, hated even, by those who he protects. A crueler fate even that his whole being obsessed with protecting them. Even if he wanted to give up on them he couldnt. She doesn’t even think hes capable of wanting to give up on protecting them. His ghost obsession keeps him from it. So she will give to the giver. He deserves just that.

Okay so, my first thought constantly with this is:

Why would Danny use a shotgun

Because im not here to replace Alfred, I’m here to honor him

Perhaps Danny gains the etiquette and such both as a cover from his old identity and due to being ghost king?

This also means that if he created a new identity, whether to purposefully become a member of the Batfamily due to CW or coincidentally, that he probably makes up all his MI5 stories just for his own chaotic humor

So, what about his appearance changes once he hits Elderly age? Has anyone (all of us are ageist its like basically just normal unfortunately) ever drawn a teen character who’s known as possibly immortal as an elderly person before?

Also, does Danny secretly use his powers to gain the same reputation as Alfred or does he not need to use them?

Does he visit the GZ/IR anymore if he’s their king? How does he run the Realms and be a butler for his new family without revealing anything?

What occured to make him choose this job? Once again: CW or just happenstance? Where’s his family and friends? Why’d he leave Amity?

Did the real Alfred pass at some point during his tenure with the Waynes and he seeked out Danny to see that his family is taken care of- but instead of a protection detail or spell or anything else Danny sees how losing Alfred himself would cause them all to fall apart so he decides (for whatever f’d up reason cuz i will be first to admit its f’d up) to simply replace the man?

If he’s in his ghost form, or is possibly powerful enough now(?), Danny should be able to manipulate his ectoplasm into the appearance of Alfred, right? I mean canonically Danny doesn’t look super different from his human form when ghostly so like- that and being a halfa in the first place…

I’m asking these questions and posing some answers because I know I can’t write anything for this currently and I wouldn’t be happy with it anyway. I love Alfred too much to write a fic focused on him without knowing his actual story rather than what pieces ive peaked at over the years

Ok, I’ve tried and tried and tried to write this fic because I see it so clearly in my mind but it’s just not going no matter what I do. But I don’t want the idea to die with me. The closest this came to being written was exile which was an attempt to bleed out some of the energy of this au.

Anyway, so it starts off vaguely similar to canon only more aggressive. There had been underlying tension between ghosts and humans for a while, the dead jealous/angry at the living for disrespecting them. The successful creation of the Fenton ghost portal (and another halfa) was considered an act of war and so the ghosts responded in kind. So basically all of S1 occurs fairly close to canon except ghost attacks are more violent and have increasingly more consequences as time passes. Also the attacks aren’t just in Amity Park with ghosts becoming a worldwide issue but Amity is a focal point. Regular people know the ghosts hate them though they don’t know why. Phantom is very much a controversial figure as he is a ghost but also clearly is fighting off the more violent ghosts. 

One day, not long after the events of Control Freaks, Amity Park wakes up to find three of their own are gone. Danny Fenton, Sam Manson and Tucker Foley are nowhere to be found. There’s a massive manhunt, the parents go on TV and beg for information but they cannot be found. Curiously enough, town hero Phantom was also missing. There’s some evidence they left of their own volition so the Mansons and Foleys eventually relent that the kids fled on their own. The Fentons are 100% certain the kids were stolen/killed by ghosts as a statement. And the fact that Phantom went missing around the same time means he was the one who killed them. Jazz knows Danny was Phantom but had no idea what was going on and knew her parents wouldn’t listen she just, kept quiet and privately tried to piece together what happened. 

Three years pass and finally it looks like the Ecto War is coming to a close. Young, naive ghosts attempted to raise Pariah Dark in a bid to win. It went disastrously but Phantom (who was periodically spotted around the world, deep in the worst battles of the war) and group of loyal allies subdued the king. By the law of ghosts, Phantom was named heir apparent and he declared that the fighting would stop. Humans and ghosts would have to negotiate and co-exist in peace. But he’s not king yet, no he needs to be crowned at the place where it began, Amity Park’s Fenton portal (”where it all began” has a double meaning of the beginning of the war but also symbolically where Phantom began as Kings assume the crown where their living life ended to show their abandonment of their first life and the commitment to their second). Amity is NOT happy to hear that their former hero is coming home.

Amity has been through the wringer, ghost attacks got pretty bad. The Fenton’s throw themselves into their work to cancel out the grief, they create a group of ghost hunters nicknamed the Reds (for their red blood, ghosts are nicknamed Greens) to control the threat. Valerie heads the young adult division and is considered one of the best, she drops out of school to devote herself to it full time. Oh also her dad is now the Mayor as most have died or didn’t want the job. There are still people who like Phantom and see him as a hero (a lot of Casper Kids) but it’s generally an unpopular opinion in town. Maddie and Jack are ready to obliterate the ghost that took their son’s life the moment he’s within city limits. It’s a powder keg ready to blow. It all comes to a head when Phantom and his entourage arrive.

First off, Phantom looks very different, much less human looking than when he left. He’s clearly aged like a normal teen but his eyes look much, much older.  His skin is dead white with a blue tinge to it from his ice core and his aura is super cold. His hair is longer and is very misty that kind of swirls around him and his has fangs and claws. When he’s deep in battle or his obsession, his sclera turn black and he looks scary af. His entourage is ghosts who have sworn loyalty to him, who he picked up along the way after battling beside them for 3 years. Fright Knight, Skulker and Frostbite are recognizable allies. They are not happy that their future King is back in Amity (secretly fearing they’ll lose him once more to his human life). J&M have a shot and are going for the kill when they see something that shocks them; Sam and Tucker are in Phantom’s entourage.

There had been whispers that Phantom interacted with humans, that humans were in his inner circle but this is something else together. And so are Sam and Tucker. Sam is Phantom’s General, she is talented and collected and half feral. She used to be a pacifist but the trials of war and understanding that peace sometimes needs to be fought for made her compromise. She’s covered in scars and an extremely talented fighter. She’s missing her right hand up to her forearm, she can form a ‘phantom limb’ (basically borrowing ectoplasm from her future ghost) to do some things with some powers. Tucker is the support, he uses human and ghost tech to organize, weaponize and generally keep things running. He’s covered in homemade tech (shields and weapons and computers) and he rarely removes. Both he and Sam have kinda forgotten how to interact with and really BE human after so long among the dead. They had attempted to conceal themselves but they had forgotten how strong parental love and recognition is. J&M want to know about Danny, the teens don’t know how to respond but assure them he’s alive. Phantom can’t bring himself to look at them.

This is where I start to lose track of things but there will be parallels of Valerie/Maddie vs Sam as female warriors on opposite sides who are willing to go behind, possibly compromising the things important to them, for victory. Tucker will be contrasted against Jack/Jazz as the one making weapons but also generally keeping the human parts of the team mentally/physically afloat. *Severe* PTSD for all three of them. They’re also unnaturally codependent on each other, get super anxious when one of the trio is out of sight and sleep in a big cuddle pile. They will fucking Kill You if you look at one of them wrong. Vlad will be involved, he had been jailed for war crimes but convinced Walker to stage a coup to overthrow Danny and take the crown before he’s actually declared King and is too powerful. Vlad is more unhinged here, more ghost than human (a hint on what could happen to Danny if he’s not careful). He is eventually defeated but he sacrifices his life for ghost power which, in the end, is what makes him able to be beaten.

 There’s lots of ideas on what it means to be live or dead and where the divide really is, is it a heartbeat or it is how you choose to use your existence. On how duty shouldn’t mean you need to give up everything. Because Jack and Maddie believe that Phantom killed their son and, in a way, they’re right. Before they left, the ghost war had gotten so bad and the rumors of Dark being resurrected were going around. Amity attacks were at an all time high, people in their school were being killed just because Danny went there. He realized he had to choose between Fenton or Phantom and he chose to protect the world. He abandoned his human identity and went off to fight in war. Tried to convince Sam and Tucker to stay but they followed him through hell and back. Because Danny spends so much time as Phantom, Fenton is severely neglected. His long hair is cool and floaty as Phantom but is unkempt and stringy, hanging in his face as Fenton. He’s wan and underweight and looks like a walking corpse. He knows his human half will give out soon if he doesn’t give it more attention but he just can’t there’s too much to do, too many people to save.

It would end with Danny being outed to the town, not the world, just the town. Jack and Maddie need to recon with the fact that their boy DID leave of his own choice but only because their failure to protect him (from both the portal and ghosts) made him feel he had to take all this responsibility on his shoulders. Danny also has to recognize that he (and Sam/Tuck) can’t do all this on their own and they can trust and rely on the people around him. Phantom is crowned King but he decides Amity will be his base. The trio eat more, sleep some, catches up on school all the while continuing their duties as King and court. The ghosts also see that Phantom’s humanity isn’t a weakness but a strength and will bring peace to the Earth/Zone so they also take some of the burdens off his shoulder. 

Basically I load up heavily with angst at the beginning and end with all the love and comfort imaginable. I just can’t fucking figure out the middle and my motivation will not let me write this shit out. But I can’t let this AU die bc it fucking keeps me up at night.

Can't draw right now but I wanted to make some Danny Phantom OCs. So have Vesta and Sasha. Individual info under the cut

Vesta:

Vesta is a Ghost. She died in the mid-2000s at age 13.

In life, Vesta was a teenage paranormal investigator. Well on her way to becoming a Ghost Hunter.

Unfortunately, she died while investigating a haunted house. Which was real awkward for the Ghost that killed her.

As a Ghost, Vesta is like a (relatively) harmless version of Skulker. She hunts down interesting Ghosts, Ghost-adjacent beings, or Ghost Hunters. But instead of killing them she wants to take pictures, interview them, and get their autographs.

She can be a bit much though, if there's multiple reasons she wants your autograph. She had Danny sign many times for things like "being from a famous family of Ghost Hunters", "being Phantom", "being a Halfa", "becoming the Ghost King", "being the first Halfa Ghost King", etc. She also nearly exposed Danny's secret identity when trying to get autographs from the rest of the Fentons.

She also has no sense of danger, as not only will she enthusiastically approach Ghost Hunters, but she'll approach more dangerous Ghosts. Like, she is trying to figure out how to convince Clockwork to let Dan out for 5 seconds just to get an autograph.

Aleksandra 'Sasha' Masters.

Sasha is from the Alternate Timeline we see in the episode"Masters Of All Time", where Jack was hit by the proto-portal and developed Ghost Powers, while Maddie married Vlad instead. Quite obviously, Sasha is Maddie and Vlad's daughter. I am sliiiightly rewriting that episode mostly to include her because god they should've done that but I understand the time constraints.

She's the same age as Danny, since it took a few extra years for her parents to get together.

Sasha did inherit Vlad's need to be a dramatic motherfucker, smug attitude, and stubbornness. However, she did get Maddie's more solid morality, her intelligence, and overall ability to be the one person in the room with a brain cell.

Sasha knew her parents' marriage was... Off. That Maddie didn't 100% love or trust Vlad, and that Vlad's idea of love was very obsessive and controling. She can't do much but try to ignore it.

Both Maddie and Vlad were secretly still researching Ghosts, and both involved Sasha. However, while Maddie does what she would with Danny and Jazz in the original Timeline, Vlad's research is more experimenting on her, which results in her becoming a Halfa and being subjected to even more tests to see what all she can do and handle. Maddie has no idea about that, other than the fact that Sasha tends to set off weapons when she's included in research.

Sasha's status as a Halfa is revealed during the rewritten episode, when Danny shows up in her life and reveals a lot of other secrets.

I have to rewrite the episode, but it will have a more solid ending to the fight, though there's still more to go. But after that a lot of things change for them.

Maddie kicks Vlad out and takes pretty much everything in the divorce(mostly out of spite). Maddie and Jack are reconnecting and beginning to build a new life together. Sasha and Jack actually get along very well, especially on the "both became Halfas" thing. Sasha also ends up sometimes taking trips to the Ghost Zone and asking Clockwork to let her visit Danny's Timeline.

So yeah she can show up and stuff in the Original Timeline. Not often, and rarely when "needed". But she likes getting to know her alternate timeline half sibling.

Halfa Cass (all badass)

Chapter 2 1703 words

Captain Marvel was big and stood taller than he felt tall. Chest puffed up, nervous smile on his face. He got to the place first and was waiting when she parked the batjet.

Cass prowled up to him, intrigued by the new night friend. He eeped and jumped backwards a step.

She smiled under her mask. Fun. No wonder batdad was stern to him. 

“You must be Black Bat,” he rallied. He gave her a toothy smile. Blinding. Genuinely friendly. He put his hands on his hips and nodded at her. “I'm honored to meet you. Are you also a detective?” 

Cass hummed in the back of her throat and made a wiggly “more or less” hand motion.

“Uh-” Captain Marvel’s forehead wrinkled. “Well, anyone trained by Batman will know better than me. I'm so glad you're here.” He looked at the eerily empty city center around them. They stood in a totally empty intersection. The air was crisp and still. There was no wind at all and no plants had started to encroach on a town that was supposedly abandoned.

Marvel was right. Something was very wrong here.

���Fun,” Cass chirped. It was enriching to have a nice mystery to unravel when she was on enforced rest.

“Fun?” Captain Marvel echoed uncertainly. “It seems pretty creepy and wrong to me…” He trailed off with a frown. He didn't seem to notice the sharp look Black Bat gave him. 

He was so baby, she noted again. So so baby. Hmm. Cass frowned to herself, unsettled. Why was he baby when he was big? Troubling. 

“I think a lot of people died here,” Marvel eventually said. His voice had gone serious and adult again. Heavy. “There's something supernatural here. It feels like an abattoir.”

Hmm. Cass peered in all four directions down the road. Nothing looked more promising. “Canvas by foot,” she said. “Every building.”

“Right.” Captain Marvel cleared his throat. “Let's split up. I'll go-” he cut himself off when she latched a hand around his forearm. He watched in disbelief as she lifted one finger from the other hand and shook it no no at him. “We go together,” he said, laughing a little. “Alright. Uhhh- in the school there first?” 

They went in and out of sooooo many buildings. No bodies. No keep out signs, no sheets over furniture to protect it. Only dust in normal places.

“It's like they all disappeared,” Captain Marvel breathed. He shuddered visibly. “Let's keep moving.” 

They went in and out of residences. They turned a corner and both stopped in their tracks.

“Wow,” Captain Marvel said.

“Wowow,” Cass agreed. 

“I think that we should look in there. It's more ‘look at the horrors wrought by mankind’ than ‘behold the might of hell,’ but that looks like a place where irresponsible things happen,” Captain said, contemplative. Was he quoting?

She gave him a judgmental sideways look. “You sound like little brother,” she said. “Nerd.” 

He spluttered out a hey! But Cass was already darting down the street towards the extremely suspicious building. 

Her comm pinged. She stopped mid stride and let out a big sigh. Big big sigh. 

It pinged again.

She answered by turning it on and tap tapping the mic with with her fingers.

“Black Bat,” said worried batdad. “Report.” 

“Town is empty and creepy,” Black Bat reported. “Have located a building where-” she cut a look to Captain Marvel and quoted- “it looks like mankind has wrought horrors. Will go in.” 

“Hey,” protested her temporary partner. “You called me a nerd when I said that.” 

“Understood,” Batdad said, as if agreeing that Marvel was a nerd. Cass snickered. “Keep your comms on. Check in. If you are unable to check in-” 

Cass rolled her eyes. She knew! She knew it already! 

As soon as he had talked himself silly she closed the channel. Captain Marvel was hovering awkwardly, clearly waiting for her. 

“I'm sorry I overheard,” he blurted out. He wrung his hands together. 

Cass looked at him, surprised. She wouldn't be. She loved to secretly listen. “Fine,” she said. She would secretly listen to him later, and then they'd be even. Problem solved!

“He sounds so dadly when he talks to you,” Captain Marvel marveled. Wistful. Small. Unloved. Not jealous: resigned that it's just not my life. 

Cass went very still. 

Captain Marvel was wrong. Something about him was wrong. He wasn't right in his skin. 

She looked at him again for a long moment, pausing on the threshold of the monument to architectural hubris. 

Captain Marvel should see Batman as a peer. He was a big tall adult. He acted like Batman was… he acted like Batman was a batdad he wanted approval from. He wanted batman to like him, so so much. He acted like he was small. Did no one love him in his real life? Did he have a real life?

…She could relate, a little bit. Her heart twinged. 

“Uh…” Marvel hovered, hands held up slightly as he waited for her to move so he could enter the house.

But why? Cass sniffed and went into the house. There were family photos inside that she peered at. Normal looking family. 

She had to shelf the Captain Marvel mystery for now because this house? This felt different. Black Bat was only magical in the metaphorical “Stephanie likes me” sense, not arcane ability, and even she could feel it.

“It's stronger here,” Marvel said. He had more confidence. Whenever he talked about magic, he sounded his age. “It's coming from down below.” 

Black Bat nodded. “Find a way down,” she agreed. 

They came into the kitchen. “Quick check,” Cass said. 

She beelined to the kitchen table and started looking at the papers there. Science diagrams? Long papers with big words. Money papers. She took photos of them all.

Captain Marvel opened the fridge, shrieked, and slammed it shut with a boom.

Slowly, Black Bat rotated so that he could tell she was looking at him judgmentally.

“I think something moved in there,” he whispered. 

…Rats? Cass shrugged. Power was off. Food unattended. Happy scavengers. 

Her partner had gotten bored and walked to the next room. His voice called back to her as she finished up her photos.

“Stairs!” Marvel said, excited. She came to look. Split staircase, up and down. Very good. Easy floorplan.

They actually went up first. Three bedrooms, TV room clearly frequented by teenagers. Old tv. Big sofa. Many potato chip crumbs. Cass made a face as she let the sofa cushion fall again. “Nickles,” she announced. 

“Could get gum with that,” Captain Marvel said cheerfully. “Good for them!” He tromped back towards the stairs.

Hmm. She frowned. He was so happy. She poked him in the side as she passed him, just to make him squeak. Then she flung herself off the bannister to beat him to the bottom. 

OUCH. Her ribs said Stop That. Black Bat gingerly straightened her back and grimaced under the mask. Mistake. Big mistake. She looked around for cameras on reflex. 

No cameras. Batdad and Alfie didn't know. Cass relaxed. 

Marvel laughed, high and unpretentious. Like a child. He flung himself off the railing as well and flipped midair to land next to her. 

Black Bat looked at him. “...3 of 10,” she told him. 

His jaw dropped. “What?” Captain Marvel whined as he followed her, finally down. “Come on! That was a good flip.” 

“Didn't pose,” she told him. “Arms.” She did the arms up gymnast pose Dickie liked. Pizazz!

“Okay, stop. Let's go back and I'll hold my arms up this time-” 

She shook her head. “Gone too far. Chance lost.” They cleared the ceiling and immediately saw a big white door. 

Cass paused on the stairs. Marvel bumped into her from behind. 

“...Evil lab,” she eventually said.

“I was expecting a circle of wax candles, maybe an altar,” Marvel admitted. “Something more classically evil.”

Ugh. Scientists. Cass suppressed a sigh. No fun. Should have sent Timbird.

They started walking again and gingerly opened the door to investigate. It was a weird and high tech facility. Cass got out her work phone and started taking pictures. Snap snap snap. She knew they uploaded to the bat computer in real time. 

She was providing enrichment for Tim, Black Bat decided. Not a boring failure mission: enrichment in Tim’s enclosure. Snap snap.

The room was dark but there was a faint hum buzzing away. Cass frowned when she heard it, hands slowing. 

Power was off in the town. No one had been there to pay any bills for at least two years. But that sounded like electricity. “Lights?” She asked. 

Marvel nodded. He leaned over to the wall and flicked a switch that she couldn't really see. 

Lights came on. Something slowly began revving up in the ceiling. Generator? Private power source.

“Suspicious!” Cass announced. 

Her comm beeped. Captain Marvel yelped and jumped straight up. She turned on the sound. “Where are you?” Red Robin asked. Bats shrieked in the distance. “I'm looking at those pictures you've sent and they don't make any sense.” As she watched, machines started to come on. Displays flashed with the time and with numbers.

“Basement lab,” Cass explained. “Evil scientists. Goodbye.” 

She turned it off. No more talking.

“This looks like a gateway.” Captain Marvel was standing with his hands on his hips, frowning slightly at a big circle. Hm. Cass walked all the way around to see it from both sides. “If this was made of something else, I'd assume this was like, a portal to hell. Did you ever play Doomed? It's like that.” Another machine came on, chiming softly in the background.

“I don't like it,” Cass announced, ignoring the things she didn't understand. It was odd. It looked pointless. She danced into the arch, gingerly avoiding the sides. She frowned at it from the inside. 

Metal sheeting, poorly covering wires. Many wires. There was a faint glow from inside. Cass leaned in extremely close to squint into the crack between two panels. 

Tick. Soft machine sound. Switch flipped?

She looked up at the top of the arch where the sound had come from. Her world exploded with pain.

I do take prompts!! It's so fun to fill prompts and play with other writers and people brainstorming. I'll have a look. I would love to do more Cass. She's my baby, one of my favorites, my current OC hyperfixation is essentially "if Cass had a protective older sister". Thanks for the suggestion!

"Hilda..." Dimitri called out for the pinkette. He was exhausted, both physically and mentally- all that happened in Fort Merceus still replaying in his head again and agais, still fresh. But he needed to change subjects in some way, and Hilda's birthday had the perfect timing. He smiled. "I know that I push you away sometimes out of embarrassment, but I must admit that I do enjoy your company. You are a lively and skilled person."

Hilda went to Fhirdiad, if his memory didn't falter. He doesn't know what happened there- yet, but seeing how everyone has been acting fo far...he'd rather not ask her anything about it. Documents and letters reporting everything would find his way sooner or later. "The chaos these days have been was not enough to make me forget that today is your birthday."

Wrapped in cream silk paper, was a hairclip. Silver much like most accessories from Faerghus, but featuring flowers rather than snowflakes. It wasn't anything grand, but delicate and cute. The main gift was in his other arm however- a stuffed wolf. The fur was white like fresh winter snow, with beady eyes and a huge red bow in its neck with cloth flowers forming a flower crown in its head. "Uhm-! I wished to give you something you could use, but fashion items are not exactly my forte you see..."

"As for this little wolf, well...I shall spare you from a long story but, it is a popular gift for difficult times, in Faerghus. The wolf is a special animal for us and...well, soft things are nice?" His cheeks flushed pink, awkward. The only reason Dimitri didn't own one, was because he'd probably cuddle the thing until it became mangled. "It is based off the legendary wolf Halfa Bladid, a protector of the mountains. but name it whatever you find more fitting." He gently lifted the stuffy wolf's paw, revealing pink plush toebeans. "It has toebeans."

"I wish you a peaceful and enjoyable day, as well as a long and fulfilling life. Happy Birthday, Hilda."

Hilda freezes when she sees Dimitri heading straight toward her. Here it comes. The lecture, the disappointed face, the speech about how he knows she can do better. She prepares for the inevitable with a list of excuses. A million excuses why she shouldn't have been expected to make any difference in the first place form a protective barrier around her. He can't possibly be more disappointed with her failures in Fhirdiad than she already is. If she hates herself enough for her own failures, nothing he has to say can hurt her.

The lecture doesn't come. His features don't harden as he looms over her.

He actually says she's skilled. She's not.

It takes her several minutes to realize he's actually here to celebrate her rather than admonish. These are birthday gifts he is offering. Her hands shake as she silently reaches for the hair clip he hands her first. It's lovely. Beautiful and delicate and it seems extra so as he holds it in his much larger hands.

Hilda stares at it, blinking before she pins it near one of her pink twin tails and a small smile sneaks across her lips. "It's so cute, Dimitri. Thank you." Normally she'd throw in a tease. I had no idea you were so secretly stylish! It's hard to tease when she so clearly does not deserve any of this kindness from him especially.

The wolf plushie is offered next along with the explanation that it's a traditional gift for hard times. It's just so incredibly heartfelt and thoughtful. Something she can cling to while she's alone and struggling to fall asleep. Hilda struggles to keep it together but when he specifically points out the pwecious widdle toe beans she breaks down and loses it.

Hilda throws herself at the prince. Arms wrap tightly around his waist, not bothering to hold back any of her strength. She knows that if anyone can handle a good squeezing, it's going to be Dimitri. Tears start silently flowing but it isn't long until she is full on sobbing.

"I'm sorry..." she chokes between sobs. "I'm so sorry. I tried. I did everything I could have but it still wasn't enough. It's never enough. I'm never going to be good enough."

ok so I’ve been playing stardew valley for the past week and with only using the wiki for technical things and figuring out where people are on their birthdays, I’ve yet to dive down deep into cutscenes or read every bit of dialogue npc’s say as I’ll learn it as I play.

so i saw that Jas, the little purple haired girl, lived in the same house as Marnie, the brown haired rancher, and Shane, the purple haired bachelor. so of course i came to the assumption that Jas was Shane’s daughter, and he was depressed and drunk because he lost his wife/girlfriend/mother of Jas, and was living with Marnie who was a close family friend or some shit.

only for me to read a tumblr post about how it sucks that Jas doesn’t move in with you and Shane if you two get married and I was like ‘well that’s weird, why doesn’t your stepchild move in with you?’ so I do research and discover that NO, Jas is not Shane’s daughter, he is at most her uncle, at least her godfather. and no one is sure whether he is actually related to Jas, or is he and/or Jas are related to Marnie.

my whole perception if Shane has just been tilted on it’s side, wtf

and so i go to my mom, who has been playing stardew valley for the past year, and ask her ‘were you going to tell me Jas wasn’t Shane’s daughter? Or was i just suppose to learn that from a tumblr post?’ and she’s like ‘what? no! Shane’s her uncle, I never even thought they might be father and daughter’

HMM purple haired child lkiving in a home with a brown haired women and a singal PURPLE haired man? I wonder who her parent is? Sebastian? NO i would think it’s Shane, but nope. and now we’ve both learned that he may or may not even be related to her?

what’s the truth? he Jas secretly his love child? niece? just goddaughter? and most importantly;

why doesn’t Jas move in with you and Shane when you marry Shane?

i woke up this morning with the desire to read a Danny phantom fic where Vlad, upon meeting Danny for the first time and finding out he’s a halfa, instead of continuing his murder plot and making Danny an enemy, he decides to mentor Danny, and give up on jack and Maddie

 especially when he learns of Danny’s fear of revealing his secret to his own parents, and he becomes Danny’s uncle/mentor and trains and supports him.

 gonna search ao3 for a story like this, wish me luck, if u know one let me know pls

1. What was the first fandom you got involved in?

Ooh, tough one, but it would be a tie between Dragon Ball Z and Death Note. 

I remember being a little girl (around 5 - 6) and gushing over Dragon Ball whenever it was airing and even convinced my parents to let me stay up late to watch it when it moved to a later timeslot on YTV.

But, Death Note was the first show/fandom that I ever got into legit fights over and became so in love with I ended up naming my youtube channel (and eventually fighting google not to change it to my real name) after a Fanfiction the creator of DN loved so much he made it canon.

So first show/content I fell in love with was Dragon Ball Z, but the first ever serious content crush I had was on Death Note.

10.  Is there a fandom you read fic from but don’t write in?

Well, currently that is South Park. I mean I have fanfictions I’m working on about South Park on my desktop. But, I tend to write down my thoughts, dreams, and theories about all shows/content I like. 

A legit South Park fanfiction wouldn’t probably be ever posted by me, unless I have created a story that I 100% felt others would like to read as well. (This is kind of the reason why most of my fanfiction chapters can be pumped out chapter after chapter, I start writing months in advance before posting 95% of the time.)

20. Any ships which you surprised yourself by liking?

Vlad x Danny from Danny Phantom. 

I know, I know, “ew, Danny is like 14 and Vlad is in his 40s” blah, blah blah… I get it. It’s wrong to pair up an underage character with an older character. It’s pedo shit.

But, I tend to think of Danny being at least 16 when I ship him with Vlad and since the show ended when Danny was 17/18 years old (they don’t state this but I and a bunch of Phans had done research on the show’s timeline) it’s not that creepy to think the two might have gotten together if Vlad didn’t go crazy. 

They are after all the only 2 true halfas in existence and are probably immortal.

Also Danny’s VA is older than Vlad’s, so if you want real world crap in this, Danny would be the “pedo” by almost 20 years.

Rick x Morty, Morty x Morty from Rick and Morty.

Same as the one above. Though the incest thing first weirded me out, but since in Rick and Morty anything is possible and the fact that Morty has canonly slept with a clone of himself (and their is a Morty Stipper Bar on the Citadel) I’m kind of “meh”. It obviously happens in the canonicity of the show, just not brought front and center, only implied. So I don’t really see them as grandfather and grandson anymore.

Cartman x Kyle/ Cartman x Kyle x Stan x Kenny from South Park

I like the one sided love fan theory, that Eric is an asshole to Kyle just because he secretly has a crush on him.

Though I frequently have dreams of all the four boys caring for eachother in a “loving” way. The song “400 Lux” by Lorde really makes me think of them, especially Kyle being the one that takes care of the other three and their problems.

45. What is your all time favourite fanfic?

Remember my answer for No.1? The Death Note fanfiction I was talking about is called “Death Note: Another Note: The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases” by: Nisio Isin.

It was the first ever fanfiction I read and realized that writers are real people and behind every great story there are fans out there passionate enough to try and make that story even greater, by expanding it’s world with their own thoughts and beliefs. It gave me a whole new outlook on life, animation, books, and every day content we are exposed to.

Someone had the imagination to create that and we as fans, have the ability to improve it!

51. Rant or Gush about one two things you love or hate in the world of fanfiction! Go!

What I hate the most is “Gender Bender” and “Self Insert” type fanfictions. 

WIth the gender bending, the ones I see the most just change the gender of one character (usually a boy) into the opposite sex just to make a “lesbian” couple. They usually go into detail about their breasts, hair, clothing, and what not, basically to the point the character might as well be an OC. Also since I was born female and have to deal with female shit all the time, the highly sexualized nature and intense focus on these parts of the character really distract and disgust me at times.

Self Insert is almost as bad. Especially when the “author character” is a Mary Sue and the whole story is focused/is only about them. I want to read about your thoughts and ideas on how they interpret the pre-existing world of the content they are writing about, not about the author fucking their waifu/husbando(s) or how wonderful the author is.

Both of these types of fanfictions are too OC-ish for my comfort.

I've been trying to figure out who to replace Plasmius with because keeping him as Vlad just doesn't Feel Right for this scenario

so who else could it be?

the only three people who've opened a portal before are Vlad, Maddie and Jack

what if it's Maddie

what if her goal was to make her entire family half ghost so they could all be powerful together, strong and near immortal, but Val fucked it up by opening the portal too soon and getting the Fentons kicked out of the lab

Danny keeps the ghost hunting stuff a secret from his parents because he doesn't want them to know he's actually changed his tune about being a ghosthunter, he doesn't want them to get all unbearable about it and breathing down his neck, he knows that if they find out that they won't ever let him have any semblance of a normal life again, and he doesn't want to let that go entirely

but Maddie's smart enough to figure it out and is secretly supporting him by leaving certain weapons laying around for him to find

Maddie wants back into Axiom Labs, so she can use the portal to finally give herself the perfect family of superhumans, and she's willing to do anything to get to it, including taking out the Lab's head of security, because as it turns out, he is VERY good at his job, especially when Axiom Labs beefs up their security using the Fenton tech that they still own

which is where Val's motivation comes in, she has to protect the lab to protect her dad

Also since this portal is well secured, that would mean the ghosts can't really escape like in the show, so maybe the formation of the Fenton portal caused a large number of natural portals to start forming

and maybe Axiom could be working with the Guys in White, who want to use the portal to capture and experiment on ghosts, who would probably break out every so often and cause mayhem

and maybe Val and/or Maddie could have the ability to pop in and out of the ghost zone, to make up for neither of them being able to access the portal

I just really love the idea of halfa Maddie as a villain whose entire motivation is based around doing what she believes is the right thing for her family at the expense of anybody else

also once Valerie and Danny start dating, Maddie absolutely tries to use that as motivation for Valerie to join her family, she wouldn't have to hide from Danny if he was one of them, neither of them would have to hide

I had this crazy random thought last night and before I went to bed and it was ‘What if Valerie was the half ghost and Danny was the ghost hunter?’ Like, maybe something from her dad’s job caused it and Danny was surrounded with negative opinions on ghost and decided to become a hunter as well?? I’m not sure when my 3AM mind was going with this

oh shit this is like reverse trio au with a twist I am SO ON BOARD

The Fentons work with Axiom Labs to create the ghost portal, Damon is still the head security guard, and maybe Val comes to bring her dad his dinner that he left at home, but since she's his daughter he doesn't supervise her as she's leaving, figuring she's not a threat or anything and she knows where the exit is

but she gets curious, she decides to just pop into the lab with the portal just to have a look

some kind of series of events will eventually lead to her ending up inside the portal, maybe she gets too close and trips on wires or something, knocking into the switch on the way down

the portal turning on shorts out the power in the whole building and fries the computers, and most other electrical devices including computers, hard drives, cameras and security footage

Damon rushes in to find the portal on and nobody in the room, he leaves to find a radio that works so he can call it in, missing Valerie falling from the portal, she freaks out, not really knowing what happened but knowing she will be in a WORLD of trouble if she gets busted, so she gets her ass out of there

she doesn't realise until she gets home that she looks different, by the time her dad gets home she's back to normal, she tells him that she had already left when shit went down

she tells Star and Paulina what happened though, they're her best friends of course she tells them, and of course when she starts developing powers, they know about that as well, Paulina thinks it's cool as fuck and wants Val to use them for a whole bunch of petty stuff, whereas Star, being the brains of the group, is genuinely concerned for Valerie's health and thinks she should probably see a doctor, but Val refuses to tell anyone what she did because she's terrified of losing her dad his job

meanwhile, Danny's parents have been kicked out of Axiom Labs, having been blamed for the portal incident, the assumption is that it happened due to their safety negligence, and now that the portal now works, Axiom has no need for the Fentons and takes the opportunity to kick them off the project

meaning they have to do all their work at home, which Danny is absolutely unhappy about

the fridge is full of contaminated food, he gets covered in goo every other day, his parents have been extra on edge since being fired and are much more trigger happy about grounding him for stuff, not to mention that he had a heap of freedom when they were constantly out of the house and now he can't get away with staying out after curfew and ordering pizza and junking out as much as he wanted

and now he can't even study or sleep at home in peace, his parents exploding things in the basement in the middle of the night, making noise and barging into his room at all hours of the day, insisting that he help with some project or another since they don't have lab staff on hand anymore

he's miserable, and worse, he knows it wasn't his parents fault

he'd been out late the night of the accident, there was a meteor shower and there was a large radio tower just past Axiom labs that gave him an excellent view, he climbed up there all the time for stargazing

it also gave him an excellent view of Axiom Labs, and the ghost that went running from the facility after the power surge

he knew his parents, as irresponsible as they could be, would never endanger their work on the portal, something else had to happen, something else sabotaged their work

and he was the only one who had seen who it was

and since his parents ghost shit has been forced into his life, he may as well use it to get some retribution, because as it turns out, his parents were right

ghosts are monsters, and this one needs to be put down before it ruins someone else's life

Some friends of mine and me do this by using their OCs as friends and giving him a twin when we do a roleplay, and we even make aus of those roleplays, usually the replacement goes like this;

1. Sam- gets replaced by one of their OCs who has a tragic story loosing her parents on an accident that made her an halfa, she stays in a house in the woods where she lives among others strange creatures as mermaids, werewolves, etc., her story changes according to the au, in personality she's brave, kinda aggressive and bold, she just wanna be normal and save the ones she loves

2. Tucker- gets replaced by 2 OCs, one is a gloomy zombie girl who has died long ago, but death was lazy and didn't take her soul away, she doesn't feel pain (doesn't even show emotions) and has some... Weird powers related to death

And the other one is a cheerful girl who loves bugs and getting in trouble, she's friends with the zombie girl and they prevent each other from doing something stupid and the are both the voice of reason in the group

3. The twin, usually called Andy (generic Danny's Twin name), usually I make this one because..., they say they like him, depending on the Au I change his personality, usually it goes from a cute cinnamon roll who is willing to give his life for the ones he loves to a liar maniac who loves attention and wants everyone to do as he says manipulating emotionally everyone around him so he can reach his goals, the principal I use has this last personality, a pure villain who used to be jealous of Danny's powers, but kept it from himself until he noticed his Danny was not powerful enough to even beat the box ghost, so he went to Desiree (despite he knew her wishes go wrong) and asked her to make his brother more powerful, secretly knowing Desiree was going to turn him into a villain, once it was done, this Danny... Was way too powerful (like Dan or even higher) so this went out of control once he got a lust for power, making like a third world war with everyone trying to kill him they even tried nuclear weapons, condemning the humanity to die in a nuclear winter, he tried to fix this but ended up destroying all his dimension and dying, but making a deal with death he turned into a creature that slowly goes crazier as time goes by.

Well we had this ideas, sometimes a clone because of Vlad or tragedies because of Vlad many aus, etc, it's very fun and I love it (lately I'm even doing a comic based of what we rp)
